why is 2face not nominated for channel-o award/i think the question has been answered.he was nominated twice and got five awards from the 2 nominations 2005 and 2006.faze for the first was nominated for an international award as best newcomer but let us! no! let you down by not winning the award.in the first place it is a big embarrasment the category he was nominated for,and secondly he couldn't win the award.too bad.i told you about the 2 musician fine just their last album 2face had won 1 mobo award,2 amen award,1nigeriaents award and many other i cant remember for now,faze album has no award to his credit,how awful!

you just have to leave all these doubting thomases alone,i did not hear it on radio but read it in encomium magazine and hiphopworldmagazine website,i aslo saw it on entertainment news of lagos television.encomium and hiphopworld analyse how it happens,thes cds were bought my different marketers at a discounted rate.the first 100000 copies produce was immediatly bought by just a marketer which prompt them to produce more,and in the count of six days they've sold a million copies,also just this morning the sales according to ltv entertainment news the sales had risen to 1.5 million copies.you guys should not be dogmatic,this guys are good and their video is also helping alot to push the audio sales.with the way the album sale is going i think they are not ready to break record but super ready to make a big record that will be hard to break.if i can get the link from hiphopwordmagazineonline i will post it,but i'm sure if anybody have the copy of this week encomium magazine both the sales and analysis are there.so tosin you are right!

The albums were released the same time, but not with the same market force and publicity. Independent sold itself with just poster publicity unlike gras to grace that got tv, radio publicity and past album success, the psquare u refered to too are enjoying the same thing. The last album was a hit so the anxious fans will quickly grab the new album whether its's better or not. Faze didnt have that and he still won the hearts of people, that's why I'll always refer to him as the rose that grew from the concrete because he made it with little or no publicity. Why the hell can't they be compared? Aint they pals? Their songs are even related Or does tuface have three heads?
And about the so called record deal, I think u should read the other threads because it annoys me when people say faze lied about the deal instead of thinking logically before posting, how can he lie about a deal with an international artiste who he knows will b interviewed sooner or later and asked? I think that doesnt make sense because no one in his right senses will tell such a lie, you're just looking for way to bring faze down on nairaland but that aint going to happen because most nairalanders are wiser than that.
See u suggesting faze to be compared to artistes like sound sultan and w4, for your information, sound sultan is better than tuface but I wont touch that now. Olu maintain cannot be compared to faze, bone the hype and let's face reality.

to be logical the two of them released their album in the same month of the same year.but without the help of an analyst we all know that 2face album had more influence on p'ple than faze's.about the intern show i also watched it and i enjoyed it,no! i was'nt the only one that did enjoy it,those present at the show and some others that love good music also did.when this topic was introduced there were more word tussle btw the fans of the two artists but right now p'ple have identify the difference between appearance and reality.2face fans are now more visible because the guy 2baba has never let us down,he has never lie about record deal and he's been winning awards to buttres our claim here on nairaland,i also thank God for faze because he is winning the nairaland poll.but it is a slap on 2face musical prowess to be comparing him with faze if not 4 hatred and prejudice that has eaten deep into the mind of p'ple.p square in six days of their album release(game over) they've sold a million of copy,they were once nominated for both mobo and mtv award and nobody is comparing their album or even the boys to 2face.also d'banj a multiple award winner and recently an mtv award winner,multi platinum album sales,endorsement etc,nobody is comparing him to 2face.imagine a frustrated musician who has just hiphopworld award has the biggest award in his shelf,a musician who has never been to the state (USA) where 2baba has tour and presently where he is recovering from the attack on him,is been compared to ididbia,infact you guys are ungrateful ingrate because 2face was the first african to win the mtv award and he is a nigerian,the first nigerian to win mobo award and his track african queen was the first music to be played on mtv base africa,isn't that an achievement not only for him but for the whole of nigeria.if you guys can remember after he won the myv award in 2005 he said"even though nigeria is not going to the world cup,this award will cushion its negative effect on nigerians"he made the statement when he was been honoured by guinness.it's quite unfortunate that this same nigerians are comparing him to a less achieved musician like faze,fine faze a good musician but you guys should be comparing him to artists like sound sultan,baba dee,w4.you cannot even compare him to musician like d'banj,olu maintain,psquare,paul play not to talk of 2face idibia.psychologically there wouldn't have been any comparison if they were not in the same group before!.but for for now 2face has gone so far that faze will have to become a divinity before he can even dream of getting to that level.

it seems you guys are getting it wrong.it is very easy for hiphopworldmagazine to cook up lies to sell their paper but it is not easy for them to lure akon to deny faze.I WATCHED IT ON TV,i'm sure i wasn't the only one that watch it,pheesayor too watchd it!.dere shudnt be any room 4 argument 4 now faze is not signed on akon konvict.can we be logical a little bit,pls have you ever see any konvict act that has no konvict signature 4 identification.i mean customised konvict shirts,bling blings, etc.faze is always wearing ordinary shirt like us. as far as i;m concern faze was not signed frm the onset although there was a talk on a deal but it didn't work out!

faze joined the group after they have finished recording their first album,they had to go back to studio and the result of that was the little impact of faze in their first album.2face was the main guy when they were still together,EEDRIS CANT BE WRONG!.and he has proven that beyond doubt since they all started their solo career.you are arguing base on the fact you dont know!i pity you!

about akon signing faze,i expect you faze fans to know the ambiguos nature of the contract because faze had publicly stated in the first quarter of 2007 that he will be travelling to yankee to record his album under konvict, but in october dis year also he granted an interview and said that the contract has some clause he may not like to talk about publicly but the clause is the delaying factor behind the contract.he promised that his third album which will contain the remix of kolomental "psykolomental" will be release under his own label "independent".we all know faze was signed to konvict but we are still awaiting the outcome of the union. you p'ple need to be informed before you argue i'm sick and tired of claiming what is right,because nearly every everyday different student of information like metoo,tosinadeda,moodlady etc  use to take you p'ple on a ride to the latest event in respect to dis 2 artists but you faze fans are too dogmatic in accepting the facts,just like we have innovator so also we have laggards which are many of those that argue with little or no logical input.2face and faze released their album in the same month of the same year,and without any form form of hatred we all know that 2face album is more succesful!.

He can win the festac 77 awards for all I care and who says faze's voice is not distinct? every artiste that sounds like faze is morelike a copy cat. Has anyone ever copied tuface?
