Must the President order security personnel to carry out assignments that they are heavily paid to do? With all the soldiers, navy, airforce, police, Tantita, VIO, mobile police, ex service men, etc, how have a few people been subverting the economy with such impunity over the years? If there’s no collaboration, why is it difficult to end? Does Biden need to order US military to protect their country’s natural resources? |
ogagun1:The loser here is Ado Bayero. But can we determine if the decision cannot be reversed in the future? No. Notice that it was all high powered politics. Sanusi appeared too hard to control to the same people that he helped to power. Ganduje used his executive power to dethrone him. Now that was not the first time when first class kings would be dethroned in the north. Sanusi took it in his stride. His late friend Herbert Wigwe sent an aircraft to pick him up when Ganduje had determined total humiliation. Ado Bayero ascended the throne and everywhere was calm. Today APC is no longer in power. Another group supported by Sanusi has attained power and restored him. Ado Bayero has felt humiliated. Now he feels the same pain that Sanusi felt. Fighting back for the throne would do him no good, at least for the next 4 years of NNPP governorship. As long as NNPP remains in power, he will not get there. He tasted the power of the Emir of Kano and wants it. Unfortunately he will keep getting humiliated. Sanusi is not helpless. He played his game silently and meticulously. All Ado Bayero needs to do is to support another party and see if he can return. The federal courts do not have powers in such matters, so he further wastes his time. He should return to his palace as a second class king for now and remain there. He is the helpless one presently. You can see from the governor that he was frustrated by Ganduje too. Do not forget that they were opponents in 2009. He was leading when APC brought their wayo at the second ballot. He became the governor and pulled down all Ganduje’s structures. Ado Bayero is a victim of Kano politics, just like Sanusi. They are victims of the political forces that they support. Ganduje balkanised the throne out of anger and this Kano governor has tried to restore it to its original form. Recreating second class Kings is just to make them all feel happy and allow peace to reign. The governor listened to wise counsel and this is the result. You all please advise Bayero to return to his previous location. Remind him that he who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day. |
leokid866:Are you above 30? Yes or no. If you are below 30, how did you get a passport in 2006 when you were 12 years old or below, except it was procured for you by your parents or guardian? With no experience whatsoever about passport procurement from the 70s up till 2014, how can you talk about it with me? In that same 2006, you’d fill your forms with the immigration officer, in any of the immigration offices, pay your charge to them, sit down, get captured and pick up the same day before close of work. In the 70s up till the 80s in Lagos, when you were not born and the military was in control, you’d get to passport office Kakawa street, off broad street Lagos, apply for your passport, produce your passport photos, sign your forms and be asked to return in a few days, not later than one week. Where were you then? My passports have always been for five years. In 2003, I got a replacement for my passport obtained in 1999, the same day in Festac and PDP was in power. I got for my family all the PDP years, up till 2014. Your Buhari ruined it all with the failure to produce passports. Tinubu met it. He brought Buhari to power and is part of it. I have travelled severally and very experienced and I am far older than you. Young and inexperienced man, ask any immigration officer who served during the PDP days if passports were not procured same day and stop wasting my time over what you know nothing about. |
These players must be punished without delay. |
leokid866:Young man, you are talking with one very conversant with what he is talking about. What you do not know anything about, listen and ask questions. Pride makes a lot of you miss your way. You can feel free to ask anyone who got a passport in the PDP days for his/her personal experience. I do not perceive you as one beyond thirty years of age and so you are too young to talk about personal experiences at Obasanjo’s tenure between 24 and 17 years ago. Talk about passports as from 2015 and feel free if you have the personal experience, because you had come of age. Once again stop arguing blindly about what you know absolutely nothing about. |
“tech entrepreneur”. Na wah. |
The wickedness and desperation of some citizens is truly unbelievable. How are some citizens able to pull off these despicable acts? |
tobenuel:Nothing increased for him. The behavior entered his blood and completely possessed him. |
leokid866:Westin you no know pass you. Ask those like me who experienced it before commenting. |
helinues:You see your life so got public? Who’s talking about 2016? Bros you get problem true true. |
helinues:No be only switched gear. I switched steering. And you quickly forgot that you said APC was not in power those years. No wonder people wan take mouth finish you. Always writing without reading. Where is the lie? Were you the one in power those years? Were you of age those years? You certainly had no personal experience as you were not of age those years. |
Ok. |
helinues:Just imagine. And you are here boasting? “I did my first passport in 2006”? And you even get mouth to talk here. Between 2001 and 2014, passports were procured same day. I got passports all those periods for myself and family members. Even those who visited got their passports the same day. Only God knows where you went to get your own passport, as I am sure that you were not old enough then. |
helinues:Go and sit down. Always talking rubbish. Do you know what we are talking about here? What’s wrong with you and always seeing serious public matter with grave myopia and childishness? Where is the lie with the things that I have experienced traveling several years? Or you think that you responded to a fellow bush man like you? |
How would they have such a huge family in these trying times in Nigeria. Hopefully the man has not become the victim of some evil people, especially ritualists. I used to know one man in those days. He kept having sons and insisted that he wanted a daughter. After seven sons, he decided to have the final trial. The last one was another and he put an end to child bearing. You must only beat the amount of children that you can cater for and sex must not matter. Now this woman is in a dilemma. |
Such a very despicable fellow. |
So easy under PDP government. For all the years that PDP was in power, passports were issued same day that one applied. Buhari took over and it became a problem. I applied for a new passport in May 2022 and got it in October of the same year. Borrowing a leaf from Mr. Fashola, I can say that it is not “rocket science”. Corruption was allowed to thrive in the issuance of passports massively. They also would give the stories of “no passport”. Rotten eggs in the service must be sacked and new ones to be properly monitored employed. Government must endeavor to provide large quantities of passports, ensuring that scarcity becomes obsolete. Again, monitoring must be taken seriously, so that procuring passports can be very easy for all. |
EreluRoz:Wizkid mama thank you for telling us his age. You do well. Abeg your own age nko? You never reach eighty so? |
Papparassi:What is the position of the national leadership in the matter of the decamping of the 27 lawmakers? Can you tell us? |
Kobojunkie:Have we been practicing federalism in the true sense? Did you take your time to read the decision of Justice Agim? |
multiplatforms:I wonder how they continue in the face of the reality of their loss of seats. |
Richtaiwo:Unfortunately you have not found out that you are a cannon fodder. Do not let it be too late before you realize it. |
Then either he vacates the seat or his should be made to vacate the seat. The seat belongs to PDP. |
How? The only reason why things never work can be found in the I-don’t-care attitude of the citizens. Nigerians are easily able to digest all the recklessness of the political class and yet praise them to the highest heavens. If we must practice democracy, we must follow up in all the sense of it. We watch other democratic nations talking about their local councils. We see how local councils benefit the citizens. One wonders how governors, past and present, sermonize us on how allowing local governments run appropriately would not work. We already know that Nigerian politics is godfather based. We know that even a Presidential candidate needs some powers that be to help him get there, how much less a governor and other political office holders. Who holds most of them by the scruff of their necks when they assume office? Even the President is checkmated by the National Assembly. So what’s Fayose talking about state assemblies? He can fool some including himself, but he cannot fool everyone. He must grow beyond his jaguda politics. A man who shortchanged his own party in the last Presidential election should not be telling us such crap. He should bow his face in shame. We all now know that it is the law to forward local government funds directly into their accounts. We await to see that local government chairman who would forward his local government’s funds into the state government account, as a show of loyalty. Having attained success at the Supreme Court, next would be the states to mind their areas of jurisdiction and allow local government carry out their statutory functions as spelt out by the constitution. We would like to see INEC conducting local government elections and not state electoral commissions. We saw the examples last weekend with Adamawa and Delta states, where the ruling parties won the entire seats. That’s the loophole for governors to hold local governments by the jugular. With INEC, all parties would participate and equitable representation would be guaranteed all citizens. We would expect EFCC and ICPC to be very active in the local governments, formulating policies that would protect the resources for development in their accounts. |
maasoap:When he took his oath of office, did he pledge loyalty to Yaya Bello or the Federal republic of Nigeria and the citizens of the state where he governs? When our leaders perpetrate evil and crimes, we must not eulogize them. We elect them and we must demand their loyalty to us and not the other way round. A case must be established against Ododo, so that when he is out of office, he can defend himself on obstructing the course of Justice, using his immunity irresponsibly. Is it not reprehensible that a sitting governor would use his immunity to cover a wanted man? This is not a case of witch hunting by EFCC. If Bello feels that the allegations are not right, he has the responsibility of seeking Justice, not by running away, but by defending himself. Anything short of that, he leaves the citizens with no doubt about his culpability. |
mrvitalis:Thank you very much for this comment bro. Have you not noticed that Obi’s name puts food on Omokri’s table? Again, have you not noticed how with his daily castigations, he inadvertently promotes Obi? Obi reigns! |
APC is all out to take Edo state. The same played out four years ago when members of Obaseki’s cabinet decamped in large numbers, including party leaders across the state. Obaseki/PDP prevailed. The same is expected this time for PDP to win, irrespective of the actions of APC. I do not believe that Obaseki will lose to APC or LP, no matter what happens. I think Obaseki has done his ground work well. I also believe that not speaking Ishan language is meaningless when talking about further developing Edo state. Aside from roads, Obaseki has moved Edo state forward. |
Decamp at your risk. The seat belongs to the party and the party will get their seat back. Again at the next elections, do not bother to return to the party that you decamped from. Knowing LP, the man surely will go back home and LP replace him. |
It is not surprising. A lot of the sales agents spend their bosses monies to stake, with confidence that they would quickly recover and return the monies. All na lie. They all end up crying and lamenting “baba Ijebu wicked o”. See her face like Ijebu ode road wey scatter so. |
What about Delta state? |
osayuking:Nah, nah, nah, nah. Maybe you went to school, but knowledge did not pass through you. With no wife and children, you should not be talking here. You are simply a cannon fodder! |
3seriez:Let’s be on the watch out. |
