omoredia:Scammer inspector. Dey there. No plan your life. |
Real Madrid need to grow up. Changing managers all the gives teams a lot of instability. That’s the challenge the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham face presently. Man city have maintained Guardiola for ten years. Arsenal and Man U had Arsenal Wenger and Ferguson for years. They delivered. For Madrid, deliver it not, the exit door is always open. |
omoredia:Negative thinker. After una go say life too hard. Show evidence that the men you called a scammer stole money to get to his level. Poor man no dey show himself mercy with negative thinking. If you used your little data and found time to be resourceful, you’d have researched the man’s background and ladder to wealth. As a negative thinker, na thief full your mind, when you do not know what to do. No let laziness finish you before you old. |
Kalulu44:The most beautiful and peaceful parts of Lagos before 1978 were Ikoyi, V/I and Yaba. However, after 1978, Festac added to it. Festac was like Europe, until FHA started the magic with corruption. It came to its poor state when the FG took of its hands. Satellite town was equally beautiful and peaceful, especially within the estates. Unipetrol, CBN and Union bank estates were great places to be. All don scatter. God dey. |
omoredia:At your age, Dangote was already very wealthy. At his present age, he is the wealthiest man in Africa and the wealthiest black man on earth. What is your status as a young man, even among your age group? While you call such a man a scammer and “Use our fx”, please tell us the fx that you refer to? While you sleep and accuse others of scamming your empty pockets, check your words and try to make your life meaningful beginning from now. The life is about ideas, opportunities and strategies. What are you doing about it? |
Kalulu44:Na una be Okokomaiko, Shibiri, Alaba, Aiyetoro, Ajangbadi, Afromedia, Ilogbo, Cassidy, etc. The roads used to be smooth in those days, going from Volks into Alaba to Shibiri. Nowadays, it is a shame. Na suffer full there. Old Ojo road from Mike two to Satellite town, trade fair and up to Volks used to be peaceful and smooth. Go pass that road now. Shame everywhere. Lagos changed completely from what it used to be. A very beautiful city, with no stress and plenty night parties to enjoy. Now who dey go night parties again? Everywhere and everything scattered! |
Macphenson:So what if NAFDAC picked up bread from supermarkets just to make the test, knowing that the bakery could put out bread with the correct specification and send to them for testing? Do you think that NAFDAC just took one sample only for testing? |
drlaykay:Now that Tiktoker has trouble coming. NAFDAC and SON have standards and processes. You do not have to give anyone money for certification. You can independently carry out your own test if in doubt. It is not in doubt that even the DG of NAFDAC followed up with the case to ensure compliance. Nowadays, good bakeries constantly device great recipes, bearing in mind the importance of health for consumers. Good bakers try to get as close to nature as possible. Those who prefer to purchase very cheap products because they look big, should be prepared to face the health risks. We have very good bakeries around, with very great chefs. Citizens must be careful when the make unverifiable accusations. |
Kalulu44:I can tell you so much about the Nigerian society before 1999. Politicians ruined it all. When Abacha brought his five leprous fingers as political parties, we voted with confidence during the local government elections and there was absolute peace. Surulere was completely peaceful and pleasurable, especially around Masha, Aguda, Stadium and Barracks. You could walk from Ojuelegba to Ilasamaja, passing through Idi Araba at midnight with no fear or molestation. You could get buses going from Ilasamaja to Mushin, Ojuelegba, Costain, Ijora and Apapa at 3 am with nothing and no one to fear. Now who will dare? The politicians ruined it all. Secondary schools in Lagos, especially the Island were great years for students. Yaba and Ojuelegba bus stops were the centers of activities for students. In Lagos, students of MBHS, St. Gregory’s, Holy Child, etc, all assembled at either CMS or Obalende. It was pleasurable. In Yaba, it was CMS, St. Finbarrs, Reagan memorial, LASACO, etc, who gathered in front of the bakery at the present Yaba bus stop, under the present Yaba overhead bridge. In Ajegunle, it was Trinity secondary school, Gaskiya Cardoso, etc. Abeg Lagos too sweet before 1999. Now I just told you of the 70s and 80s only, before the agbada wearing politicians scattered everywhere with tribalism and religion. God dey. |
Kalulu44:The peace, joy, rest and goodness all ended in 1999. Sometimes I ask why we went from the military to politicians. It is so sad that democracy, which should be an improvement over military rulership turned out this way. Our politicians are uncontrollably selfish. They took away the peace of the nation. I pray that they have a change of heart, so that this nation can grow, rise and shine. I hope that they days when no one knew the difference between the Igbo, Urhobo, Hausa, Ijaw, Yoruba, Efik, Ibibio, Fulani, etc, would be restored. Lagos alone had beautiful areas in those days with all the tribes. You could walk day and night without fear of intimidation. It was just the police who could arrest young men and women for what they called wandering. Areas like Lawanson, Yaba, Oyingbo, Ebute metta, Apapa, Isolo, Ilasamaja, Itire, Ajegunle/Amukoko, all had great people. You could make friends everywhere with no fear. Visiting Ikoyi, Ikeja and V/I made you have some sweet sensation. May God help our country and citizens. |
That’s called back to sender. It is also called “e want to kill person but e come kill himself. No peace or rest for the wicked. While they were planning to kill innocent people, they did not know that the bombs that they were building would take their own lives. Who remembers the story of Hamas and the gallow in the Bible? |
Glory be to God for honoring the King and wiping away the shame. Now the mockery has been returned to the mockers in thousands of folds. This man makes Kingship look beautiful and very attractive. The unnecessary protocols are removed by him. This Ooni is very accessible and he gives help to people all the time. He is very close to his people and Nigerians in general. He is not tribalistic. He respects friendships, irrespective of status or backgrounds. Tradition does not stop him from expressing himself naturally as a human. He brings peace and fosters unity. God has blessed him all round. Long may Kabiyesi baba Ibeji live on the throne of his forefathers. |
Kalulu44:It was very beautiful. We all proudly, happily, joyfully and peacefully voted for the late Chief MKO Abiola. The loss after victory was a loss for all. Everyone was angry and ready to fight. IBB and Abacha did that very dirty job of cancelling the most beautiful Presidential election ever held in this country. There was nothing like tribalism. Everyone, irrespective of tribe and religion voted for Abiola. Those who voted for Tofa were not tribalistic or religious. Nigerians were one and united, with joy to participate in the election. Those who voted for Otedola’s father in Lagos were happy to do so. May God rescue this country from the hands of greedy politicians. They have put this country in this mess. Before 1999, there was absolute peace regarding tribe and religion. Now without talking tribe and religion, you are not doing politics. |
Barteze:Sorry, you must have had some counting imagination in your heart. The election of 1993 was the freest and fairest ever witnessed in this country. I participated. I was on the line. It was not just the electoral officials only counting. It was everyone counting together. SDP was counting the numbers on the NRC side and vice versa. We voted for MKO Abiola. His lifestyle was the key to his victory. Everyone believed in him. Everyone trusted him. It was very easy. Option A4 remains the way, no matter the dirty paint the politicians try to make on it. Infact it helps to control vote buying. For those who receive bribes to vote, once it is time, they run away, as they do not want to be seen on the queue. Return to option A and see the difference. The open-secret ballot is full of wayo. |
decatalyst:And the topic clearly states “Justice Crack denies Sowore’s lawyer, M. Abubakar…” Even if you did not read the post, did you not even read the heading? From the heading, how did you not know the name of Sowore’s lawyer? How have you not known that Marshall Abubakar, has been Sowore’s lawyer for ages? |
I do not see the reason for the complain by Mr. Farouk Kperoogi. We were all witnesses to the uncontrolled channeling of major projects to the north during Buhari’s regime. That government, perhaps with nothing to do with public funds, routed a rail line to Maradi in Niger, passing through Buhari’s town. He ensured that very crucial projects were cited in his town, using public resources. While railway lines do not traverse Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi, the then transport minister, ensured that the standard gauge passed through Daura, not caring about Rivers state. He did nothing about ports in Rivers state, as the minister. The ratio of projects between the north and the south was unashamedly biased in favour of the north during Buhari’s government. GEJ was hounded out of office by the combination of Tinubu, Atiku, Kwakwanso, El Rufai, Soyinka, etc. GEJ as a Southern President largely focused more projects in the north. His own community in Bayelsa was left undone by him, making him unpopular in his area. How do you want to blame BAT, who knows that there is an unwritten agreement that allows political office holders to develop their zones when they are in power. That’s the principal reason behind rotation of power. When power is within your zone, use it to develop your zone, as the next man will fix his own zone. By this way, no area is left undeveloped. That’s what you find with Governors and members of the Federal and state assemblies. Corruption hinders many of them from fixing their areas. When they are out of power they lament. However, while they face their areas, they must also carry out projects in other zones in an agreed ratio or percentage. Governors use the opportunity to fix their senatorial zones while a certain percentage of total projects is allocated to other senatorial zones, to create an impression of balance. The south cannot continue to be fooled by the antics of certain northern leaders, who claim that they are marginalized. If GEJ focused a little on the South, he probably would have enjoyed his second term. I do not in anyway blame BAT. It is the opportunity of the south and he is from the South west. He must make use of it. When it gets to the north again, they should fix theirs. Next time when power gets to the south, particularly the SE, no one should complain if the leader focuses on the region more. Unfortunately for the northern leadership, corruption is the challenge. Rather than fix education, they support the Almajiri system and keep their people in poverty. |
Lanretoye:Common sense dictates that if you have no idea of what is talked about, you must remain silent and learn, otherwise you embarrass yourself. The Ijebus, Ogbomosho, Egba, Ajases, etc, have distinct features of the Yoruba language and yet their identities continue to be Yoruba. That’s the same with the Igbo speaking people of Delta state. Those who are confused about their Igbo identity, can continue with their confusion on social media spaces. The subject matter is palmwine found in Ubulu Okiti, a community in Delta north senatorial zone. Asaba, Ubulu Okiti, and every community within that senatorial zone are Igbo speaking tribes. Whether they choose to belong to the South east remains their business and that of their representatives. The subject matter is the culture and tradition of the Igbos, which you are not a part of and have no idea about. If not for lack of common sense and knowledge, I wonder how you choose to identify with the Yorubas of Kogi and Kwara states and yet do not want others to identify with their own people. Delta state is not a no man’s land, for those of you who continue to use the words “no man’s land”. Delta is a multi tribe state. That’s the reason power rotates between different tribes calmly. Having said that, the town Ubulu Okiti is not the only area where palmwine is found in Delta state. The writer restricted himself to his own calm and quiet Ubulu Okiti community. He showed clear myopia in his claim. He showed that he had not travelled far and wide either in Delta state or Delta north. Very rich and good tasting palmwine is found in abundance in the Ukwuani areas. The Ukwuanis too are Igbo speaking people, irrespective of their claim. Very good palmwine is found in Agbor, Okpanam and Oko, on the bank of river Niger. Infact the Igbos across the river love it so much. Great palmwine is Oko is called “Aku”. It can be pure, unadulterated and very expensive when purchased very early in the morning. Please get to Oko market and move towards Oko Amakom and you’ll find palmwine tappers riding their bicycles loaded with palmwine. The four litre can of palmwine on the bicycle is very expensive to purchase. That’s more preferable for people who have ceremonies. You hardly find such in bars. We must all note that the creation of Anioma state is seriously in progress and quite advanced. Do not deceive yourself on social media pages, or what the confused Okowa is talking about. The SE will have a sixth state and it will either be fully carved out of Delta state to form Anioma state, or added to parts of Anambra state to form Animoma state. Which way it goes, the capital will be Asaba. If not for confusion of the mind, the writer should know that “ibu ego” and “ime ego” are the same. Igbanku on the other side of the river is the party, just as it is done on this side after negotiating successfully the dowry. Even if it is not called Igbanku, once dowry is paid, the party sets off. It is the same. Just as the wife is given things by her family in what is called “idu uno”, the same happens across the river and called “idu obi”. Mr. Writer should tell us the difference. This same practice is common in the north, when women are given household items by her family, as she goes to her husband’s house. Palmwine is carried by ladies across all Igbo speaking areas, by the women to identify their husbands. The writer is either a confused Ubulu Okiti person or not married yet, otherwise he should know that palmwine is very prominent in marriages, not just in the Igbo speaking areas, but the entire of Delta state. Palmwine signifies culture and tradition. For the Ukwuanis, it is part of the list in ike nwuye . Palmwine is part of the list in marriages. Infact in some parts, depending on the families and financial status, ogogoro is part of the list. The writer is encouraged to study more. |
It’s the responsibility of government to ensure that fake products do not get into the market. Unfortunately corruption is the order of the day. We have all the regulatory bodies, but corruption hinders monitoring and enforcement. For imported goods, we have the customs service at the ports, along with NAFDAC and other agencies. Officials collect bribes and the products find their way into the market. The same goes for the local industries. Government must wake up to its responsibilities. Again, it is not easy to completely eliminate fake products. It is a challenge even in the developed countries. It is a challenge and disgrace in China and Taiwan. The Indians, Malaysians and Singaporeans try to protect their images and so you can find better quality products in those countries. Our government must ensure that action is taken at the source. Inspection companies are there for pre inspection before shipment. How do importers find their way, when containers arrive for inspection and certification before shipping? There are too many loopholes to plug. Sadly, corruption is the major challenge. Deal with corruption and we will have a far better country. |
That’s the way. That’s what we should see. We want to see all the parties with the manifestos. They must tell us what the have for us and make us support them, if we agree with their plans. That’s what democracy is all about. ADC members, please on your party and leave Peter Obi alone. You must be the opposition to APC/BAT and not the opposition to NDC/Peter Obi, who are not in power. Thankfully ADC has the likes of Pat Utomi and Odigie still in the party. They should please move on and let Peter Obi face his mission. |
Na her concern be that. She did not want the man. Her sister, a very serious lady, married him. Now she must continue the search for one that suits her. Two times proposed and she refused because of finances. Her sister saw the man and married irrespective of finance. Now she claims first daughter. She can jolly well place the first daughter rank on her forehead, while she goes in search of a very wealthy man who will give her millions monthly. Now she made herself a beggar and certainly would be calling her junior sister a husband snatcher. A very lazy lady, whose only meal ticket would have been the man. She looked down on the man and now suffers the loss. Perhaps she would have brought bad luck to the man. Now each time she sees the man, she’ll cry over her error. |
APOPTOSIS:Thank you for taking your time to read my initial comment on the matter. When you say “women are treacherous”, you generalize the behavior. I’d rather say some women are treacherous. Just as we have some treacherous women, there are too many treacherous men out there. Many, irrespective of the gender get into marriages with deception in their hearts. That’s why there are too many divorces, paternity fraud, physical injury or death witnessed presently. While we fear promiscuous women, what should we say to women who unknowingly marry armed robbers and ritualists, only to discover guns and human remains in special rooms, long after getting married? The fear is on both sides, as women also marry men who barely love them. Your concern about love is noted, but OP has not mentioned to the contrary. The only issue raised by him is lie regarding her virginity. We can take it for granted that the emotional status of the woman towards him is unquestionable or indisputable. I took it for granted that the young man is not a virgin. Men sometimes make demands from women that are near impossible, when it comes to marriages. Some border on the absurd. In most cases that I have encountered, young men who themselves have been completely morally and sexually bankrupt, have requested virgins only for marriage. “It’s a man who goes to knock on the door…”. Do not forget that these days, some women have woken up. They see the men who they like and go after them. It may sound very uncultural/not traditional, but they end up marrying and that ends the matter for them. I think that societal demands on women sometimes are harsh and should not continue to make women inferior people. Cheers bro. |
If she has said that lie to retain the relationship with you, I am of the opinion that you should let it go. Several ladies tend to regret having premarital sex, especially when they find out that they basically wasted their time. When they find the right suitors, they torment lies to make themselves appear as virgins. When you factor the value that they bring to their relationships, you are bound to choose the positive side and let go. Virginity is not an assurance of conception; it is not a marker of either a good wife or a good home maker. You can find a Virgin who will take away your peace in the marriage. Virgins also have conception issues, if that is your fear. If the lady is kind; if she gives you joy; if she gives you peace of mind; if you find that she”ll bring great value to the marriage; if she”ll make a good wife by your observation; then virginity is nothing compared to what you stand to gain. No rule stops you from proceeding, afterall you are not a Virgin. Do not get confused by what inexperienced young men say. If your parents, who by the way are more experienced than you accept her wholeheartedly, please do not look at the error. She told you a lie out of the fear that she’ll lose you. She truly loves you and wants to be your wife. Forgiveness is not weakness. It is strength, greatness and the mark of a man full of wisdom. Please remember always in your marriage, that forgiveness is one major key to success and lasting peace in the home. Cheers. |
Obi finally left and yet ADC has not found peace. Why not let Atiku continue his mission without mentioning Obi’s name? Everyday ADC complains about Obi. Abdullahi laments. Kenneth Okonkwo cries bitterly. If only he contested the house of reps under LP in his native Enugu state in 2023, using Obi’s name, he would have made it. He lost a lifetime opportunity. Dele Momodu laments. If he had contested in his native Edo state for the house of reps, using Obi’s name, he would have made it. If an Okada man could secure victory in Kaduna in 2023 using Obi’s name, what about those people? If Reno Omokri contested in Delta state using Obi’s name, he would be in the house of reps today. APC laments. Labour Party laments. PDP laments. Can they simply not move on without Obi? What is this Obi fear all about please? Amaechi was simply there to destroy Obi’s chances, as he knew that he would not defeat Obi in the direct primaries. |
WhizdomXX:Clearly you did not read. And even if you read, you would have had better understanding. For clarity, note what transpired: 1. Abubakar who was commissioned by Sowore and consented by Justice Crack had been appearing on his behalf. 2. When Crack was declared missing by his family, human rights activists, including the same Sowore and his lawyer took it upon themselves to track him down to the military authorities. 3. Barrister Abdullahi followed up with the case from day one and raised the bail application originally. 4. The family watched all through and probably thought of changing the lawyer. Their reasons are up to them and Justice Crack. 5. Barrister Balogun would have been briefed by his family about the situation in the court. Rather than make his enquiries with Barrister Abubakar, Balogun chose to ambush him when the case was called up. Balogun presented himself as the lawyer based on the brief by the family of Justice Crack. 6. Not wanting to engage in unnecessary arguments with the “na me be the lawyer” Mr. Balogun, Sowore’s lawyer chose to withdraw his application and all processes that he had previously filed. 7. The same Justice Crack who would probably have gone home either yesterday or today, was returned to detention until the 18th of May. 8. How would Sowore’s lawyer discern or work with Mr. Balogun, when Mr. Abubakar was not previously informed about the decision that they had taken? How would he work with Mr. Balogun, when it was very clear that they had ambushed him? Having to identify his preferred lawyer between the two, without respectfully notifying Sowore and Abubakar, clearly showed Justice Crack and his family as either ungrateful or non challant people. |
And they always talk of brain drain. Supposing the man is released and he chooses to relocate to a country where his job is better appreciated? Who loses? The entire Akwa Ibom state and Nigeria. Even though we must not agree or submit to embezzlement of public funds, agencies should be very cautious with the manner of arrests. How would they fire tear gas into wards filled with patients with heart problems? The same officers, when their family members have heart challenges, would spend all that they have, looking for this same arrested Doctor to perform magic on them. The man was even said to be operating on a patient in the theater at the point of arrest. Such vicious acts by security agents should not be accepted. Having sent their invitation letters to the man, they should have found other more careful ways to effect the arrest, taking care not to trigger panic and potentially causing the death of some already endangered patients. Even the President will not be happy at such news. That said, corruption at all levels must not be condoned in any form, if we want a better country. |
gare:Who will give him the ticket? You? Or do you have other plans? |
Fiscus105:Oga, look well, study well and make proper analysis without failing. Maybe you were too young in the days of the late Chuba Okadigbo, a very good and trusted ally of BAT. He once said and I quote “I have read the political barometer and done the arithmetics”. Politics is about calculations, power, alignments, agreements and betrayals. Do not comment without knowledge. Who are the elite in Ricers state standing with Fubara? Can you mention names and compare them with those standing on Wike’s side, who all presently hold political offices. When Wike joined BAT as the FCT minister, he did not denounce his membership of PDP. He also did not decamp to APC. He maintained his authority in Rivers state, which he uses as his bargaining chip with BAT. Wike got his PDP group to team up with APC. The same Wike who controls PDP in the state, retained some in PDP. His calculation is that one of the parties, preferably APC should secure the governorship seat, while those who remain in PDP share the state and federal seats with APC. That’s why he set up what he called the rainbow coalition and said there was nothing like PDP and APC anymore in Ricers state. Ask yourself why he did that. I wonder if you understand the word “schemed”. If Wike schemed PDP out in Rivers state, what’s the reason for the struggle at the Supreme Court? What’s his reason for the continued struggles with the likes of Makinde and Bala? Where will he return to if neither APC no PDP win the elections in Ricers state in 2007, if he has schemed PDP out? Will he return to your house, or have you set up another party for him? Tell us how Fubara can defeat Wike. Where’s Fubara’s support base? Is it the same people who felt offended when Fubara capitulated during the state of emergency? Or his council chairmen who he removed to enable the same Wike’s men take over? Maybe you do not know what happened to Ambode. You are free to ask. That will help you know that Fubara has been handcuffed politically. With direct primaries coming up in APC Rivers state, expect Wike’s group to stand on the queue to deliver whoever Wike chooses, as they are far more in number than whatever Fubara can muster. |
seunmsg:Bunch of confusionists. Which of the parties should get what. You are a PDP man and you wear the APC jacket. That’s how you lot have put this country into this endless circle of misery. You watch Wike destroy democracy in Rivers state in the name of supporting Tinubu. You expect Wike to instal an APC governor and an assembly full of PDP members only. That’s you idea of democracy. Una no get shame. |
They certainly would not have dropped him at that level. They are waiting for him at the primaries, to give him the Ambode treatment. With the direct primaries, they will vote him out and fix Wike’s candidate. If Fubara gets the APC ticket, Wike and his group will team up with PDP to defeat Fubara. Fubara is definitely between the devil and the deep blue sea. I strongly believe that a well organized NDC will this time defeat Wike and his co-sojourners. |
That’s a fact that we all know. Atiku appears like a mole. |
SmartEnergyng:What a shame that some of you just turn up here to write without critical thinking. I never thought that following BAT should be synonymous with such poor thinking. When Tinubu went from SDP to AD and then to AC, did all his adherents go with him? When he went from AC to ACN and then APC, did all his adherents go with him? As it stands today, do all his adherents contest on the platform of APC? While leading APC, does BAT not have supporters or elected officials on other platforms who support and vote for him? Has membership of other political platforms stopped BAT from offering help to his supporters in other parties? By the way, while ACN presented Nuhu Ribadu as the presidential candidate in 2011, did you not hear that BAT offered his support to GEJ? Did you not hear that his supporters voted for GEJ? Wike is the FCT minister and a member of the opposition PDP. In Rivers state he controls the PDP and APC structures. He has positioned the candidates for the two parties. Why have you looked away? Is it different strokes for different folks because it is Obi? Thankfully those of you who have Obi’s name on your lips every moment, have inadvertently become his mouth pieces. An “unknown” Obi has become very well known, thanks to APC and its supporters. Our constitution guarantees freedom of association. Mrs. Kingibe had long been in politics. Even if she had not contested, her husband was always in politics and she was with him. If her party choices do not align with Obi’s choices, what stops here from moving on? Is there any law that stops Aisha Yusuf from contesting the same seat because they are both Obidients? Where is the leadership problem? How will that stop them both from voting for Obi on election day Where is the drama? Where is the rule that stops them both from belonging to two different parties, even as they support the same Presidential candidate? If BAT could shepherd his flock, Aregbesola and others would not have left. Remove the speck in your eye, before removing the log in another person’s. |
Favorflavour:We do not care about your perceived “hidden agenda”. However note that what you call “hidden agenda”, will make Nigeria a better place to live. That hidden agenda will be far better than the open agenda that has inflicted deep unforgettable miserable psychological and economic hardships on Nigerians since 2015. |
