The manager knew that if he brought it up in the PRA meeting, parents would reject it. And even if the agreed, the margin would be reduced. It is a fact that the cost of education everyday spirals. Catholics schools, just like other missionary schools are like private schools. Parents send their children there because they believe in the standards. Very good schools charge fees in millions these days. If you want your children in good schools and in good environments, get ready to pay the bills. Now we must not say that because it is a missionary school, standards should be lowered, or charges not in tandem with economic realities. Those in boarding schools must be well fed and their health issues attended to speedily. That’s all money. Accusing the manager does not change anything. Reporting to the Bishop will not do much. At the most the manager would be removed. The manager must be a Reverend father, so he knows what is appropriate. If the man is removed and a difficult manager gets introduced, what will they do? Being parishioners should not be a factor. It is being sentimental. Parents can also choose other private schools and see the difference. In all, there should be an agreement that benefits the children. |
Aroyjunior:He was always killing until this last one. Killing became part of his life. Without killing in the name of the police, he would not rest. He used his uniform and office as his cover. This vicious officer would have killed even people very close to him for one wrong reason or the other. He would kill to take over women belonging to others and boast of his prowess. Imagine meeting him at a checkpoint and failing to give him any amount of money that he demanded. This evil person would possibly have killed many youths over one flimsy excuse or the other. His fellow officers would have warned him several times and he refused, believing himself as untouchable. Simply arrest the offending young man - who already had been detained - and bring him to the station. The demon in the evil policeman wanted blood and he granted it. Now he will meet killers like him in jail and possibly some people who he sent to prison. He must get his long awaited reward in the hands of those he either killed or tortured. His end finally came. One vampire in the name of police off the roads. Hopefully such like him are discovered and removed. Our police has too many decent men and women. |
Fearyourcreator:Go and complete your education first. After that, arrange a physical meeting with me to compare documents and levels. |
Fearyourcreator:That is my business. I pay my take accordingly and appropriately. Youths like you do not even know what taxation is. You wey never chop belleful or finish school, not to talk of working or paying taxes. |
Osgilliat:Make una get small shame. No single infrastructure and yet you use your internet and mobile phones? Na the lie wey dem take confuse una for the past ten years come make Tinubu government poverty level at 63 percent, the worst of any government since 1999. Who initiated the Abuja-Kaduna train project? Who brought EFCC, ICPC, BVN, NHIS, etc? Was that Benin - Onitsha highway this poor during the PDP years? Was that Benin - Auchi - Okene - Lokoja - Abuja this horrible in all the PDP years? What about the new airport terminals in Portharcourt, Abuja and Kano? Did you hear of terrorists, herdsmen and bandits on southern highways in all the PDP years? APC don take poverty comot shame for una eyes completely. What will be there if APC completes 16 years? Already poverty is on 63 percent. So in the next five years your intention is to kuku make it one hundred percent? God no go gree una. |
SageTravels:Exactly. It makes one feel completely lost and confused. That’s how many years ago, someone broke into my sitting room at about 2 am, cut the burglary proof and took away the music set. It was very expensive. One of my friends who earlier asked about the set was my suspect. Infact the friendship ended immediately. I left the matter, seeing that there was no headway. Now this lady first must prove to her customers that she does no have a hand it it. Next she must refund to them all and then think about raising the necessary amount to restock. What if she borrowed the money? What a life. |
When will we hear of 30,000 - 50,000 MW. We always hear 50 MW, 70 MW, 300 MW and we know that by now, electricity should no longer be an issue in our country. Dem take NEPA do our country? |
Mrexcell:Thank you for the correction. |
Galactics:While he was building the massive projects, where were those disputing the name change? While he was giving scholarships and sending their children abroad, where were those disputing the name change? While he was spending his personal money, where were they? While he was bringing Anambra state government’s presence, where were they all? Surely they were hiding their own resources and bewitching the community. They should be grateful to have Dr. Maduka in the community, who has done so well and projected the community positively to the world. |
Goldforever:Thank you very much for this explanation of the matter. I noticed someone who said that it was the decision of one man who had made money to change the name of the town from Nkerehi to Umuchukwu? Is it possible for such to happen, at least without the contribution of certain very influential people in the town? Nkerehi sounds like an elephant and I can assume that those who chose the new path of name change could have felt that Nkerehi had to do with a diabolical past, which they want to erase. In preserving the name Nkerehi, are the supporters feeling that their identity is getting wiped away? If the name Nkerehi is not in tandem with the present realities in the community, is it not appropriate to change the name? The community looks nice from recent images posted. Some towns have in the past effected nane changes. Ahaba changed to Asaba. Agbadagiri changed to Badagry. Gwosh changed to Jos. Bonny from Okoloama, Port harcourt from Igwe ocha, etc. Notice that the man accused of using money to change the narrative of the community, has played a very massive role in making the town a beautiful place. Making him the Igwe must have been in recognition of his efforts to his people and community. |
shortgun:You do not even have to bother. Sir Richard Branson never went to university, yet he owns Virgin Atlantic among other businesses. Orji Uzor Kalu did not complete his university and he became both a governor and a senator. Some of the biggest billionaires in the world never attended university, not to talk of third class. The late Steve Jobs, who confounded Apple, Mark Zukerberg, Larry Ellison, Ibrahim Babangida, Sani Abacha, the Late Buhari, who it was said never attended a secondary school for that matter, Cosmos Maduka, Arthur Eze, Mohammed Indimi, Femi Otedola, Razak Okoya, etc. The man on seat now has not shown us his secondary school. Youths on this forum who do not know where they are coming from, or where they are going in life, mock a well made who employs thousands of people and lives a very decent and corruption free life. Dem take am do APC supporters. |
aremubabs:You ignorantly quickly jumped at the mention of millions, without allowing commonsense let you know that it was supposed to be thousands. And you have not taken time to find out that Obi’s businesses are not limited to your assumed “stores”? Take your time without bias to read Obi’s business profile and tell yourself the truth. No one hypes a man whose very incontrovertible credentials speak for themselves. No decent person wants to have leaders, who rather than use the common patrimony to make societies better, choose to enrich themselves and their families, living the citizens in worse state than they met them. Do you know how it feels like to live in decent societies free from corrupt leadership? |
Did I not hear “ebi n pawa” by one youth there? Na Obi come be baba wey dem vote for wey come take hunger finish them? Which one be everytime na ebi n pawa for these people mouth sef? |
This is the first of such judgements by a state high court to my knowledge. How the judge hurriedly passed the judgement, wanting the woman to pay one billion beggars belief. It is true that if not properly handled, Bello can get an order of the court to seize her properties. However, knowing Senator Natasha, she will not pay one dime. Next is the appeal court and Supreme Court. |
AdolfHitlerxXx:Third class and yet pays the salaries of thousands of people? Dangote employs Professors and PhD holders while he is not the most educated in his own organization. A poor man thinks always in poor ways and always projects everyone to be poor like him. Na poor ma thinking dey worry you. While you may not have shishi in your pocket, you may do well to help yourself by applying for a job with Mr. Peter Obi. With your first class, where are you in life today? Remember that when Obi was younger than your present age, he was already very rich. |
Akpakomiza, what do you have to say? Is it true or false? |
Now she has to pay the entire bill. With no such amount in her account, she will leave her car and source the entire amount alone. The guy recovered his initial 200k when he did not pay a dime tab the second meeting. Na him chop free. That’s how some years ago, one young lady met with a young man in Okokomaiko. They walked together to a beer parlour. Note that they met for the first time at the bus stop and went straight to a beer parlour. She ordered big stout and cow tail peppersoup three times. The guy ordered one bottle of star and a plate of goat peppersoup. A few minutes later into the sitting together, the guy excused himself to pee. When he did not return after some time, the very observant beer parlour madam approached the lady to ask her about her “boyfriend”. The lady confidently said “e go piss”. After over one hour and bros did not return, madam handed over the bill to the lady. When questioned she stated that they only met at the bus stop and she brought him there to enjoy herself. The lady no get shishi to pay. The beer parlour madam collected her phone, neckchain, wristwatch and scandals. The greedy lady was given bathroom slippers to wear. The next day, she returned to pay. Long story short, greedy ladies need to learn lessons the hard way. This one go know say 1m no be today. A look at the Corolla car will show that a man purchased it for her. She no get work. |
With 1k you no fit buy beans and bread eat belleful. With 1k you no fit eat one plate of rice, beans, plantain and meat chop belleful. With 1k to go work and return not possible, you must trek to complete am. Na wetin Nigerians see since 2014 under APC government. So tay Oyibo don see Nigeria finish. |
Left borrow. Right borrow. Front borrow. Back borrow. So tay dem “borrow” money wey dey dormant account. China borrow. USA borrow. Saudi Arabia borrow Abeg one day we go hear say dem borrow for Equitorial Guinea or Benin Republic. Wetin we do APC since 2014? This baba said “I am Buhari”. He promised to continue Buhari’s legacies. He “stopped” subsidies. Nigerians enter better suffering wey come pass Buhari own. APC abeg na. Una don try reach abeg. One day una go borrow for pikin wey dem just born. |
SmartyPants:You got it absolutely. I agree that she just cooked up something to trend. She got a good story and people fell for it, hook, line and sinker. |
LagosOrigin:It is now said that the citizens have lost trust in the judiciary. Some say the judiciary has been bought over. If trust is lost and there is the belief that the judiciary is not independent or bought, people would simply take what they see and move on. So while your hope is that the Supreme Court out one favors you, some are out the on the other side, wishing that it favors them. In all, politicians have made complete mockery of our democracy. |
Gerrard59:Oh that’s great to know that you are resident in Japan. As a family man in Malaysia, you have peace of mind. No one harassed you. The challenge as a black man is the repeated tendency you commit crime. One day it is drugs, the next it is fraud or cultism. However policing is good and the country is very safe. As a family man, you can feel free, move around with no harassment. Night time is peaceful and you can shop at 7 Eleven which opens twenty four hours a day. Those who carry out legitimate businesses are our citizens from the SE. They largely own the warehouses from where they genuinely carry out their export businesses without harassments. Also Nigerians are employers of labour and they pay minimum wage. You can set up your own factory, manufacture and export to Africa! The cost of living is very reasonable too. Don’t think too far. Definitely, Singapore is more beautiful and better organized than Malaysia and Thailand put together. When you talk about Singapore, you are looking at one of the five most beautiful places to visit. Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam no follow for this matter my brother. Peace of mind is very crucial. Instead of living in Indonesia, please jejely find your way to India or remain in Nigeria. If Nigeria too hard, pack your load go Ghana, Mozambique or Angola. |
Finding its way to the Southwest and finally confirm that they have overrun the entire federation. Determination that there must be no peace nationwide, as long as killing and kidnapping brings huge sums of money to them. When will government put appropriate measures in place please? |
daylay7:You did not look away and you did not discipline yourself. You are simply not serious about it. You are only waiting for some drastic news about your health before you can put an end to the habit. It is all about your mind and nothing else. Simply say NO MORE and that is it. You do not look away when you see it. Make a firm, wholehearted decision and that ends it. With a firm decision, no urge will make you take a sip. The same should go for other sugary drinks and alcohol. Replace them all with water. A simple but firm decision will end it. |
Gerrard59:You can live there in peace as long as you can get documents. No one troubles you. Do not engage in drug trafficking or any form of illegality. It’s a free and beautiful country. Very easy going people. Good places to visit too with very good currency. Too many Nigerians live and carry on legitimate businesses there. They have genuine visas and live with their families. You can also get business visas and so on. The weather is the same as Nigeria. The same weather happening at the same time just like Nigeria. Let’s say the weather is carbon copy of Nigeria’s weather. You will love it out there. Respect yourself and do not pass your boundary as a foreigner. You are safer there than India, where you can be beaten with cricket bats if you commit crimes, or just for nothing. The same goes for China, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. They are good countries to live. In Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, you can enjoy peppersoup fish just like Nigeria, steaming hot. Avoid crimes and you will spend your entire life in peace in those countries. You will also earn well. Avoid India, Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam. Poverty go bend you life in those countries. The citizens travel to other countries in search of jobs. |
Pacesetter123:Are you deliberately avoiding very clear facts in the subject as posted? Read the below once again: “Meanwhile, prosecutors said Mafi had no legal clearance to oversee the alleged dangerous weapon sales. A previous investigation revealed that Tehran seized properties that Mafi inherited from her father in 2020, according to court records. The Ministry of Intelligence then told her to open a business in the US to buy the properties back from the Iranian government, court records stated. According to prosecutors, Iran also offered to pay for her start-up costs. Mafi allegedly said that she is 'more useful' to the Iranian spies in Tehran than in the US, prosecutors said” If she has no license to deal in arms, it is immaterial at that point, as long as she was a resident of the USA. Again, it does not matter if she was in the USA, as most countries do not permit that. Infact it is illegal in most countries worldwide and I can bet you, it includes Iran. You cannot say that you are an arms dealer, resident in Nigeria, without a valid licence to carry out your practice and not get arrested by the DSS. You certainly would be tagged a terrorism sponsor. You can verify that. There is a reason why you must have a federal firearms license in America. The reason is for accountability. Engaging in the business of selling firearms, manufacturing, or importing arms for profit without a Federal Firearms License (FFL) is a federal crime in the United States of America. Without a license in Nigeria, it is illegal, as contravenes the firearms act. That is her offence once again. To add misery to herself, she admitted her offence and stated that she’s “more useful” to spies in Iran. She clearly exposed herself as a person of particular interest, especially with the fact that she’s Iranian and her country of birth is at war with the USA. She will face jail time, cancellation of her citizenship and deportation after jail. That she sold firearms to the Sudanese government further implicated her. Have you forgotten the challenges in Sudan? You cannot say who among them in Sudan, for example, usually received her wares. How can you say that non state actors did not benefit from the sales? The same goes for Iran where she was used by her government and now dumped. The same government that treats women as slaves and human shields, turns to the same women for such crooked jobs. Where do boko haram and other terrorist grouped get their arms from? Certainly they are not the manufacturers. Arms dealers do the job. |
“It said: “The coalition leadership is not having any such conversation with any political party at the moment.” So there’s a possibility to have the talks if the courts rule in favour of the Gombe man and his group. |
EponObi:Shambles because a so called democrat who climbed the democratic ladder to success, makes democracy look like militocracy. |
PRP invited ADC and presented the platform as a viable option. This is politics. It is about arithmetics and calculations. They can leave ADC and move on if that should solve the problem. |
