Good morning guys I am currently in UK and I will like to inquire how to apply for master in the US and the process to do that

It is very simple. Go to google and search the school you want based on your course of study. Check the school and see the one that fit you met in terms of the requirements. Apply to the school by paying application fees and wait for their decision

Hi guys. Please can ASUU strike delay credentials evaluation? My sister has been waiting for over 2 months now, yet no feedback.
I dont think it can because I believe transcript process is been handled by non academic staff. But it is better to get in touch with the school. You have to monitor the process

Please do you have any info and how to pay my SEVIS fee? I don't have anyone in US to assist me with that.

Some people used to help other pay on this forum. You just have to believe in them

Attend church on Sundays.

I usually attend RCCG when I was in Charlotte.

They usually have information about what parties are going on the weekend.

If you’re really into Black Girls, Bakadi Lounge is a good place to be on the Weekend.

Another club you can score Black chicks on the weekend would be

Lol. Black girl. U must be ready to spend dollar oooo.

I am Congolese.
You indicate that the way other countries perceive Nigerians isn't the way Nigerians perceive themselves.

Likewise, I would say the way you perceive those Philippinos, Mexicans and Indians may not be the way they perceive themselves.

Don't get me wrong, I have never said u are wrong with u said but am telling u as a Nigerian that unification among Nigerians is mostly common in the northern part of Nigeria compare to the western part of the country. You see these people in the northern part of the country are not the traveling types, they don't travel like other tribes do.

Also, I mean other countries like African countries see Nigeria as giant of Africa this also go along way the way u perceive Nigerians. I have worked in both Nigeria and Latina firms in USA so I saw the differences and I also see the way the Latina pass information to themselves in class as a student in USA most especially in terms of job opportunity.

This is the misconception.
Do you know that we, outsiders, perceived Nigerians as people who stand up for one another. Nigerians also stand up for other black.

Please permit me to ask u two questions. Are a Nigerian or Congolese? Secondly, Do u live in USA?
I asked the first question because u wrote "we outsiders". The way other countries see Nigerians is different from the way we see ourselves. You know Nigerians have many tribes? You could be right in terms of unification but with my own believe, the unification is found most in the northern part of the country compare to Western part of the country.

Secondly, if u live in USA especially immigrants places like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago etc u will the unification of Mexicans, Indians, Philippians compare to Nigerians abroad

boss as a psychology grad in Nigeria.. Is it possible for me to study nursing in the United States?

It is very possible but it means u have to start afresh. Psychology and Nursing are completely different thing. Like I said earlier, most people in Nursing career start from the lowest level which is CNA which means certified Nursing assistant, with ur SSN you can register for the course and get certified within 3 months or less than that in Chicago for fees ranging between 800 dollars to 1000(dont know the specific amount). With this certificate, You can work in so many hospitals that required the need of CNA as long as you are eligible to work in USA. From there, u can attend two years community college like Harry S Truman college in Chicago etc, after which u can proceed university for 2 year for ur Bachelor degree depending on the type of visa you hold in USA. This will be very difficult for someone or visiting visa except he or she has already changed his or her visa status

[quote author=oluwarichie post=78505606]Hi Guys, So i have been search NL for a trend to help me in narrowing my option on the next step to take (career wise) living in the U.S and i discovered we don't have a topic like that here and permanent resident/legal immigrant that would need information(s) regarding this subject.

IT and Nursing are two professions that u wont regret if u have the opportunity in western countries. Their services are always needed anytime anyday. As for me, I prefer u go with nursing because of the presence of many hospitals, clinics, mental homes, old people homes in Chicago. Even with a certified CNA, am very sure u will get job as soon as possible with over times and u can progress from the CNA. Also u can do most of those programs online while you go to work. Evanston, Skokie, Des Plaines, Rosemont, Roger parks in Chicago North side all have hospitals someone can start with.

I know it's not red flagged. I just want someone that attends, attended or knows something about the Uni to share. I've done my own research. Chicago sef na war zone undecided
.

Lol, Chicago is a war zone! I laughed in Spanish. That is the 3rd most populated city in USA. Almost every where in USA in a war zone, u can't never tell when shooting will happen. Did u hear what happened in El-paso and in Dayton during the last weekend? Security issue is a global issue so forget about what is happening in Chicago. Loyola University is one of the best school in Illinois along side De Paul University, northwestern University, Roosevelt University all in Chicago. I think they are private Universities. They are expensive and stingy in funding. If u are really interested in Chicago.u can check public Universities like University of Illinois at Chicago, Illinois institute of technology, University of Chicago......

Have u paid ur tuition fees?

My flight itinery is abj-istanbul-jfk-newark-greenville, south Carolina.
1. Will the change in airport from JFK to Newark be handled by the airline?
2. Is there a risk in transiting through JFK?

Istanbul Ataturk airport is a very beautiful airport, make sure u take some pictures ooooo

Possibly by domestic airlines not really sure.

There is no risk passing through JFK as long as u answer correctly those simple questions from the CBP. Your i-20 and passport u should be with u . Don't assist anyone u don't know with luggages oooo. U have many stop over, many bags and luggages might make the journey more stress.

Safe journey

[quote author=MyCaseIsDiffere post=80838940]Gluckwunsch, mein bruder! A big congratulations! Let's toast to a glass of German beer. cheesy

I got my first US Visa from Frankfurt in 2012. Chai! That experience was superbulous. I had to take the ICE train from Mannheim Hauftbanhof to Frankfurt and then took a tram to the embassy itself. Printed Google map and printed train schedule were my handbook. At that time, I couldn't afford internet subscription on my phone, only home wifi. ( That hustle life). wink. Immediately I highlighted from the fast long-distance train and got out from the train station, I noticed a carnival going on. Na him your village sister join them ooo. I danced, chopped biscuit and sweets, forget say I get visa interview. By the time my senses returned, I realized I only had ten minutes left to my scheduled interview time. Omo, the way I screamed Jesus enh, as if na Him send me message.

On getting to the embassy, my first encounter with the security officers at the gate made me delete the tales of woe, I had heard about US embassies in Nigeria. I went to my recycle bin and deleted again. See enh, the hefty security dudes adorned in their beautiful uniforms were so couteous and polite. They showed me where to drop my phone, camera, other electrical devices and sharp objects. I was then led to a sweet lady who smiled and informed me that she was going to put that screening baton over my body for further search. I replied with a big grin and was like, "please go on, ma'am". Next was into the big temperature controlled hall. See fine chairs! We were not up to 30 applicants in that gigantic hall. At the back of the hall was a dispensary for drinks and snacks. There was also a photo booth, which your sister fully utilized. ( Village girl must to show her logo). After taking my finger prints, I sat down in the very comfy chair for about ten minutes, basking and digesting the grandeur and tranquility that surrounded me. The elderly woman that took my finger prints told me that my wait time could be up to 30 mins. I got a white slip that indicated my number.

Then it was time for my sweet chat ( interview) with the VO. Brethren, the distance between the VO's window and the first roll of chairs in the hall in Frankfurt, is equivalent to the distance between the door of the interview hall and the window of the finger print people in US embassy Lagos, Nigeria. Ko da, everyone is excepted to be seated until their number is called. There is a big screen on the wall in front of the applicants that will show you the procession of the number run. It also indicates your esteemed wait time. Although, the VOs use a mic, but it's not loud enough for those seated to listen on the conversation. So where is tension coming from?

Thanks for sharing this experience. We just have to do better to make Nigeria a better place for everyone. The changes begin with u and me

[quote author=naijatisumi post=79692882]I'm so down right now...House please forgive my typo error

Dear All,

Please i need sincere clarification and response

Two years (2017) ago my wife travel to the STATE with an F1 visa, but when she got there she realized she was 2 month pregnant tho she was menstruating and all. Anyway she got registered in the school and became the best in her department even with the pregnancy and all school fees payment was duly paid.

In between she registered for Insurance and medicare as a student through the school to deliver our baby, doing this period she has to chill out a semester so as to have the baby as such she has a semester left but her VISA will expired next week.

Anyway i advise her to come back to Nigeria so as to renew her VISA then go back to finish the last semester and make the family proud. She schedule her interview and eventually got the white paper after enough drilling and all but the VO requested for the medical invoice which she replied she's not with the invoice. She was then told to mail it over to there office at ISOLO.

Sorry to hear this. Trump administration doesn't joke with the uses of public benefits by the immigrants. Medicaid and Medicare are not for the immigrants, it is strictly for the citizens even someone with two or ten years green could be denied a citizen benefits if he or she is found of using public benefits. There is no crime in trying to apply again but the chances of getting the F1 Visa back look seems.

Yes, I know two or three people that did in USA. The two were exceptional in football. They did training with the school and the coach like their way of playing and help with the process of changing their status from visiting visa to student visa. Learn more about change of status from USCIS. U can Google it urself and see if it is still possible.
