It was reported that the Former Minster of commerce and Industry Jubril Martins-Kuye died at age 78.

His death was announced by his Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Kunle Somorin, in a telephone interview.

Jubril Martins was known to be a very intelligent, Highly read and also an easy person to talk to.

He had a way of making everyone feel special and also an Incredible soul who could quote Shakespeare within an extempore speech, highly observant, a leader of leaders. Ogun, nay Nigeria, lost an inspirational leader.

During his lifetime, he also served as a senator during the Third Republic. Upon the return of democracy in 1999, he also contested for governor of Ogun State under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but lost to Olusegun Osoba.

A Man (Daryll Paterson) who Killed his Girlfriend by strangling her before he slashed her throat has been jailed for life.

It was reported that on April 28, 2020, Daryll Paterson committed the same attack on Former Dental Nurse Louise Aitchison at the home they shared in Park Terrace, East Kilbride, Scotland.

The attack was sparked by an alcohol-fuelled fight between the couple, who had been together since 2019, the court heard.

He was arrested after admitting his crime to a friend and his sister, confessing: 'I've done something really bad'.

The argument between the pair escalated and Paterson strangled his girlfriend before striking her in the neck with a knife leaving a 'gaping wound.'

Police found three washed knives in the flat and Louise's body covered in blankets in a bedroom.

As Paterson pleaded guilty to the murder at the High Court in Glasgow, a judge slammed him for 'betraying the love and trust' of his partner.

“You pled guilty to the murder of Louise Aitchison, a woman whom you had been living with as your partner," Glasgow judge Lady Stacey told Paterson

“She was only 33 years of age. She had served the community here and overseas and had much to look forward to.

“She was entitled to look to you for love and support but you betrayed her trust and by your actions you took her life.

“You know that you killed Louise and now you will have to live with that knowledge for the rest of your life.”

Defence QC Donald Findlay told the court that Paterson had had a difficult childhood and his life was blighted by alcohol.

He added: 'The pair met by chance and through their love of dogs began a relationship.

'He really does not have a clear recollection of how this came to pass. He has various snapshots.

'He does accept the two of them had a considerable amount to drink, there was clearly some kind of argument which gathered momentum and got out of hand.

According to the reports, A mother(Anastasia Skorychenko) has been accused and arrested for stabbing her new born son to death with a Pair of Nail Scissors before throwing the baby's body into a trash can.

It was reported that Anastasia confessed during the sentencing in court in Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine, last week that she was the one who stabbed her son to death.

The Court sentenced Anastasia to two years Imprisonment in Jail for stabbing her new born son 22 times just moments after she delivered him on her balcony.

Anastasia explained the motive for the crime by saying "the baby was unwanted" and "she could not afford it", according to reports.

Anastasia, who kept her third pregnancy secret, went into labour at home.

She began having contractions at night when her two daughters, aged 7 and 4, and their grandmother were sleeping.

Not wanting to wake them up, Skorychenko reportedly went to the balcony where she bent over a plastic basin and gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

The woman used her nail scissors to cut the umbilical cord, the court was told.

According to the reports, Two young men who are Identified as Abdulkadir Wada (19) and Adamu Abdulrauf (20) have been arrested by the Bauchi state Police command after Murdering and removing the vagina of a girl in Bauchi State.

After they were been arrested by the Police, The two men confessed that they Murdered the girl for N500,000 and they were asked to bring the Sexual Organ of a female by a Native doctor.

While they were Speaking in Hausa, Wada, the chief culprit, disclosed that he and Abdulrauf had gone to Kwata, the area the latter’s elder brother, who is married, lives.

“Abdulrauf then removed a knife from his pocket and cut off the girl’s private part. It was a marabout, who is now at large, that asked us to get him a female sexual part in return for N500,000,” the teenager revealed.


“Wada who came and met me in our house. He told me that he and one of his friend went to a spiritualist who promised them N500,000 if they bring a female vagina. I told him I am not interested. I discussed with one of my friend called Musa, he advised me to avoid Wada.

“The next day, while I was in my shop doing my mechanic work, I met Wada at the garage. He then gave me an amulet (charm), which I threw inside my pocket. Later on, we met and he asked me to accompany him to a place called Kwata.

A 49yr old man who is identified as Big Sipiliano has been arrested by the Zimbabwe Police after attempting to have sex with a dead body.

It was reported that this happened during Melisa Mazhindu’s funeral a little after 1am on January 2 with an accomplice, who later prevented family members from intervening in the ghoulish assault.

Big Sipiliano entered the bedroom where the body of Melisa Mazhindu had been laid out and – while his companion blocked the doorway – jumped onto Melisa's corpse and started thrusting up and down in front of the deceased woman's shocked family.

According to a Suspect whose name was not disclosed, He Revealed how he killed his Girlfriends and sold her head for N20,000 to an Alfa.

He said that the money he got from selling his girlfriend's head to the alfa was spent on drinks with friends.

He also disclosed that apart from killing his girlfriend, he murdered another victim and also sold the person's head to the alfa.

The man said he killed his girlfriend after they had been in a relationship for 4 months as He invited her over for the night and she came to spend the night with him, during the night he seized her breath till she died and then sold her head.


The suspect said the police arrested him when he decided to sell her phone.

He sold her phone to a man in his area. After some time, her phone was traced by the police and the man was arrested.

He brought the police to his house as the person who sold the phone to him then he was captured and queried, before he confessed to the crime.

According to the reports, A Nigerian man was killed by the Philippine Police after A drug burst operation.

The Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG)I reported that the Nigerian man who is identified as Gabriel Onyechefula was among the suspects of the Drug Dealers in Philippines.

The operation happened around 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, at the parking lot of a videoke bar in Barangay Jefmin, in the town of Concepcion, Tarlac province.

I told him common lacacera I took from him yesterday I felt like I was flying in the sky. I even told him how I remembered everything I read etc.

Then he told me are you stupid? How can you not know the difference between normal drink and a mixed one?
That question shocked me I became confused and I asked him please what do you mean. On December 30, An Ethiopian Migrant who is identified as Agitu Ideo Gudeta was raped and also Murdered by her Ghanaian Employee in her farm where she raise goats for her cheese buisness.

The Man (Adams Suleimani) who raped Agitu works on her Farm in the Northern Italian region of Tretino admitted that he raped her and killed her with an hammer.

According to the Italian daily Repubblica, Suleimani was brought in for questioning on Tuesday night based on evidence found at the scene on that day.

The Carabinieri are investigating allegations that Adams had assaulted and raped Ms Gudeta after an argument over an unpaid salary. He is being detained in Trento as the investigation continues.

According to the report gathered, Some Youths were arrested by the Police after organizing a sex party in Kaduna state.

It was stated that the Youth advertised the event on Social media platforms as they scheduled a date that it will hold on December 27, 2020 and the location was not disclosed.

It was shown that the invitation detailed that participants, male and female are not expected to wear cloths but come naked. They also stated that the party will start by 8pm till day break so the participants can have sex during the party.

The invite stated that interested participants would have to pay N2,000 (for the popular side) and 3,000 naira or 5,000 naira (for VIP).

Speaking to journalists on Thursday, one of the promoters of the event, said,

According to the reports gathered by the Debt Management Office, It was reported that Nigeria Debt stock Increases to N32.223 trillion in September 2020.

Nigeria’s debt stock which is made up of the Domestic and External Debt Stocks of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), the 36 State Governments and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) grew by ?1.214 trillion between June 2020 ended on September 2020.

The data showed that 37.82% represents External debts, while the balance of 62.18% is Domestic.

According to the statement that was released; It read;

“Compared to the Total Public Debt Stock of N31.009 Trillion as at June 30, 2020, the Debt Stock in Q3 2020 increased by N1.214 Trillion or 3.91%.”

“The FGN, State Governments and the FCT all recorded increases in their Debt Stock due to borrowings to enable them to respond appropriately to the COVID-19 Pandemic and to meet revenue shortfalls.

"Issuance of Promissory Notes by the FGN to settle inherited liabilities also contributed to the growth in the Public Debt Stock since the year 2018 when they were first issued”.

According to the reports, The Head of Operations in Adamawa state hunters association who is identified as Young Mori has been confirmed dead after a Gun battle with Bandits in Kaduna state.

It was gathered that Young Mori was among the hunters who cooperated to assist the security operatives to fight banditry and kidnapping in some parts of northern states.

Head of Administration (Salihu Wobkenso) of the group, confirmed the sad news, said the hunter was killed in Kaduna on Tuesday, December 29.

”This is sad news to hunters. Young Mori, one of our hunters in Adamawa State from Guyuk LGA has been overpowered by cattle rustlers in Kaduna State in the early hours of today,” he said.

Mr Wobkenso did not give more details but added that all hunters in the state and residents of his community were in mourning.

‘’The gallant General Young Mori has answered the home call, though you have gone by the will of God but your spirit is still with us. Rest well, Zwalka Nungurau,’’ said one Johnson Gwadamdi.

From the reports gathered, The Ondo state Police Command stated that they have begin the Investigation of a businessman (Babatunde Olubasa) who was allegedly shot dead in an hotel in Ondo state on Boxing day over a Cigarette lighter.

It was stated that the 38yr old businessman was shot at the Helena Hotel in Ijapo area of Ondo state where he lodged for Xmas Holiday.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, who confirmed that the matter was a case of assassination, said the Commissioner of Police, Mr Bolaji Salami, had ordered investigation into the incident, adding that operatives of the command were already on the trail of the assailants.

According to Tee-leo Ikoro he said, “We have commenced investigation and trying to track down those who killed him. It’s an assassination. At the time it happened, there was nobody else at the bar, except the bar girl. The bar girl said three killers came into the hotel.

“The deceased lodged in that hotel and went out at some point in time. By the time he came back, the assailants were already at the bar drinking. When he got to the bar, the three guys asked for a lighter from him to light their cigarettes and he said no. It was at that point that they pulled out their guns and shot him. The assailants left the hotel when he gave up the ghost.

“We are on their trail right now. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a full investigation into the incident. To us, we are thinking it was an assassination. But the investigation will unravel all that happened.”

“The killing of Tunde was a clear case of someone who had been targeted. The guys, who killed him, had requested a lighter from him at the bar. But he declined their request. Tunde’s reaction made them to engage him in an argument before opening fire on him.

According to PUNCH news, It was gathered that the Former Member of the Federal House of Representatives and Director General of Delta State Capital Territory Agency (Joan Mrakpor) has beaten a 68yr old Grandmother (Mrs Adaeke Odiaka) at Ubulu-Uku, Aniocha at the South Local Government area of Delta state.

It was gathered that the trouble started on Saturday when Mrakpor, in company with her younger brother, Jude Ugbah, who recently emerged the chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the March 6, 2021 local government election, and her aides stormed the residence of the victim in search of her grandson, Nnamdi Odiaka.

According to a source it was stated that Nnamdi, whose alleged posts on social media were not favourable to Joan Mrakpor, was traced to his home where the ex-lawmaker and her team gathered to beat his grandmother when they could not find him at home.

“She (Mrakpor) came with her supporters but unfortunately, they did not meet Nnamdi and she started slapping the grandmother before the old woman lost consciousness and was rushed to hospital for medical attention,” source said.

The protesters barricaded the road to register their grievances against the alleged injustice by the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa appointee.

Mrakpor, who is the wife of the state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, said the allegation was untrue and described it as the handiwork of her political enemies.

She stated, “It is the handiwork of the enemy. You know that my brother just won the chairmanship ticket of the PDP, so the blackmail is politically motivated.

From the reports gathered from Facebook, On Friday, The Edo state Police command arrested three suspects who killed a female trader after they raped her with N30,000 and also Gang raped her along the Evbuosa road near Obozogbe In Orhionmwon Local Government.

It was reported that the Woman was on her way to market as the suspects robbed her and also Dragged her at the bush where they raped her to death .

The vigilante group in the area said some persons who were on the farm heard the woman screaming but could not find her when they got to the scene because the suspects dragged her further into the bush.

According to vigilante member, a shirt was found in the area was used to trace the owner in the community.

The owner later identified as Destiny Osa was subsequently arrested by the locals and handed over to men of the Ugo Police Division, who in turn handed him over to men of the Anti Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit of the Edo State Police Command for further investigation.

Upon interrogation, Destiny Osa told the police how they attacked, robbed, raped and murdered the woman in the bush at about 7 am on December 19, 2020 and took the police to arrest two other members of the gang, Etim Zion and Samuel Jeremiah, both from Akwa Ibom state.

Destiny Osa later led the police and another investigative team to the site the woman was gang-raped where her wrapper and hair attachment were recovered.

From the reports gathered, The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested 2 African Nationals who are Identified as Ramla Shedafa Nancy and Emmanuel Michael, in Bengaluru for selling Illegal drugs.

The passports recovered that was collected from the suspects say they are from Kenya, however, the Bureau, which has busted several drug rackets in the state in the past few months, said it suspected that the passports were fake. Some local media in their reports said they are Nigerian nationals, others, Kenyans.

"Further acting on information obtained from the interrogation of apprehended persons, the NCB team traced and recovered another consisting of 235 grams of cocaine, concealed in the inner walls of a corrugated box. The cocaine was sourced from Ethiopia," the NCB said in a statement.
