Mine is and I have no issues with flaunting my heritage and jobs have been coming on a steady.

Peeps already have a bad mindset about Nigerians. It is not your duty to change their minds as somewhere at the back of their minds, they are looking for that ONE that will discredit the negative image they have. You just wow them with your jobs and you will have loyal clients for life.

Honesty is the best policy.

Thanks man. I find your input really useful and I will judiciously make use of it.

Thanks.

I believe in the Autopsy though. I believe the child died of negligence. So sorry for your loss.

OP, you gotta be strong. I have a feeling that everyone has is or her own problem. We can't escape from it.

Your sec school mate you saw got his own problem. It might not be monetary, but he got his own share of problem.

Now OP, think of what happened as a phase. Their's a particular Ted-Talk I watched on YouTube. It's about living a happy life. Old people were asked about their life and what made them had an happy life. Most response was about friends and family. The lives they touched and the friends they made. Its never about how rich they were.

You've got a family OP. Have a happy life with them. It's the only thing that matters.

Bro i think you should look to offer your services on freelancing sites like upwork or freelancer...Also, leverage social media you never know..

Thanks. People I know create white profiles on upwork or fiver. They say it gives them more clicks and offer.

Should I follow same or be realistic? I'm trying social media. FB for now.

Thanks.

This year was bad in all ramifications for me. I don't even think I have a good memories this year. If I did, the bad times have clouded it that I don't seem to remember again.

All of u defending the female soldier now for accepting the proposal and calling it romance, if it was a male soldier most of you would have been raining all sort of insult on him and say he took the advantage of the female corper as Army said... I support Army on this one.

Thank you bro. Had it being a male soldier proposing to a female corper people won't be as sentiment as these. I'm disappointed with people that call this love.

It's like a Lecturer dating his/her student. It's shades of wrong.

Politics / Re: Uncertainty Over Electoral Bill As 30-Day Period For Buhari’s Assent Ends by Ellegacy(m): 9:45pm On Dec 19, 2021
Agbegbaorogboye:

Bro that direct primary is just a dummy they put in the bill to give Buhari a good excuse to not sign it. The constitution clearly states that parties are at liberty to decide the mode of choosing their candidates so, that provision is against the constitution and is null and void.

If Buhari really means well for Nigeria, he will simply sign the bill and have that provision expunged by the courts as inconsistent with the constitution. That particular provision should not be his headache at all. It's a dummy to distract Nigerians from the real gain of that bill. Don't forget that particular provision was not even debated in the first draft of the bill.

It will be a clouded court cases. I think the best way forward is to write to the national assembly to have them remove the provisions of any provisions on why he won't sign the bill to law.
Religion / Re: My 8 Year Old Son's Debate With A 7yr Old Atheist by Ellegacy(m): 9:23pm On Dec 13, 2021
I really followed the thread. I'm not an atheists but I believe in intellectual knowledge. We don't have to be gullible. I would love to point out some points most especially on what truly religion is.

Christianity finds it root from Israel. It was one and only Jehova then, Jesus eventually came and the gospel spread. The Muslims have their religion roots from Mecca, Arabia. The Holy prophet was born their. Jihad started and that how Islam spread.

Now Africans, the Egyptians then worships more than 5 gods with different proscribed names and functions.
In Nigerians, the Yoruba have faith in deities like sango, Ifa etc. The ibos in the supreme deity called Chukw etc.
Now that religion has spread, what we now have is religions that originated from other countries. Neutralizing the native religion on a conception.

If we are worshiping a ONE TRUE GOD, then why was their a reconversion from a religion to another religion??

Now sir, I believe you're a Christian. How did you become a Christian? I believe your parents were, so is your son now. And the trend continues.

How did Christianity as a religion got to Nigeria? It wasn't our native religion. During the colonial century, the colonials brought religion(Christianity) with them. The colonials were the Supreme ruler.

They got more backing when Christianity was actually able to debunk that deity are fake god's. They're not powerful. As were all native religion then that were replaced with new religions(Christianity & Islam).
It got more backing. And strict rules were made.

For all religion, why must you always marry within your faith? So as to expand the concept. The misinformation.

Religion got more flawed. Their are doctrines and many misconception within the same religion. A particular religion that have fractions, and their religion beliefs are not inclined. Then what the essence?

Jokes Etc / No Woman No Cry by Ellegacy(m): 10:52am On Oct 02, 2021
A friend was trying to proof his claim that women should be feared and made reference to Bob Marley song that said "No woman no cry" obviously pointing out that if their is no woman, their won't be cry.

I quickly pointed out that he was wrong. Because Bob Marley never said that. Infact, the song is not even about women. He kept singing & chorusing the lyric, ignorantly claiming he's right. More friends joined our argument, saying 'yes, he's right now'. "No woman no cry" actually means no woman no cry. I asked this time if they have actually heard the other part of the songs apart from the chorus "no woman no cry".

Since they won't yield, we opted to check the INTERNET. Google brought the chorus lyric as "no woman, no cry". They're graduate, they realized the functions of the comma, which literally gave the sentence a new meaning, which gleefully suit the song.

They all gave me a thumbs up

Now my question, How do people validate arguments back then without internet? I mean, my friends won't have easily admit, if we didn't make use of the internet. Anything on the internet is true since it won't stress us to do more research work, as long as it is on the internet it is true.

When we are asked, what proof do you have, we tender a Google search link on our phone, and we all believe. If their were no more internet, what happens to our knowledge?

This I ask you this beautiful morning, be with me in ecstasy of dopamine as I enjoy my beautiful morning drags.

In that case, they should immediately release hushpupi because he did not commit any crime in the United States soil. If is accomplice Abba kyari can be freed on such grounds, then I urge hushpupi lawyers to sue the Nigerian government for allowing it's citizen face justice in a nation where he has never set foot.
Hushpupi is a Nigerian and lives in Dubai, he has no US passport and has never been to the US, how come he is facing justice there!
An accomplice is as guilty as the accused.

Bro, exactly my thoughts. The others comments are based on sentiments and are tribalastic. But with your point, it shows how lawless our arms of government is in Nigeria.

Sorry about your ordeal. If the job is meant to be yours, you will be called.

However, you must learn from this experience. "Weldone" is not a formal way of greeting your interviewer(s). Good morning, good afternoon or or good evening sound better. Also, "stuffs like" that was a turn off. I guess that came out involuntarily because the interviewer threw you off balance with the whole "weldome sir" lecture. Next time, no matter the reception that you receive, keep your cool and be confident!

I wish you all the best

Thanks ma. I really need it.

As a matter of fact, "well done sir" is a criminal statement when referring to a boss or an interviewer. They regard it as a nonchalant form of greeting and find it disrespectful.

"Stuffs like that" is a little naive too. Gives the impression that you don't know what to say and you don't care.

Overall, I think the interviewer was harsh too. Seeing that you look young, he should have been a little more relaxed.

Thanks man. I felt attacked, but I know I was wrong. It definitely won't happen again.

If you want to get the gravity of a statement, translate it to your local language.

Imagine walking into an interview hall to tell the interviewer “Jisike Sir”. Haba!! You were too unserious, but don’t overthink it, it is a learning curve for you.

Exactly ma. I was ignorant, but I learnt vital things.

Good morning/afternoon is appropriate not well done in an interview.

In a formal meeting, you don't use informal language like stuff, guy etc. You are not in a chat with your friends/family.

Overall, going by your performance at the interview.....I don't think you'll get the job.

Thanks man. I know I'm not getting the Job. At least have learnt something.
