back2back:Fela anikulapokuti was a user of banned substance in Nigeria. I wonder how many times he was thrown in jail for publicly violating our laws on drug use. I think you see the logic. ![]() |
I think the actual focus is about how China actively control and have massive grip on the information highway. A breach in free trades agreements. ![]() Do people not make porn movies in china? Or you think there isn't already a pornographic or sex trade industry there? |
This story got me thinking. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8118306.stm Hardline Islamists in Somalia have carried out double amputations on four men for stealing phones and guns.Does it actually work? I mean, what happens in a case of miscarriage of justice? More info for background knowledge can be found here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharia |
OMO IBO:Are you kidding me? I am sure you know what an "edit button" allows someone to do. You use them all the time on this forum isnt? Especially if you make mistake. Please don't tell me you cannot see the correlation here. Perhaps it means absolutely nothing if he aint going to the courts. However, if he does I am sure who ever is defending the other guy would point out that the edit button on his evidence can be used to change the data and as such reflect like the OP stole his idea. That is what I pointed out and that is what am asking him. i'd like to believe you've made use of at least one software or even a device and i'd also like to believe that you know that they can be manipulated especially if you OWN or have the right to it.This part of what am talking about. What alabi present as his holy grail of evidence against the OP "may or maynot / could" been altered - note that I am not saying he did. However, this would be asked in the courts. Those pics from alabi could fake as well as genuine. But i sense this feeling that you simply do not believe those pics are or could be real.I am not disputing the genuineness of the photos. However, I am bringing his attention to what could be a potential problem to him. Alabi started off insulting pple and i believe he has curtailed it now.I have to disagree, he hasn't not with me. His reply since I pointed out the obvious have mostly been either patronizing, insulting or out right insulting my intelligence. For the record, I refuse to sink low to his level. all the pyrotechnics has to stop. alabi has absolutely nothing to prove to us. his wahala is with whoever made use of his maps without consent. He who live in a house of glass. . . . I personally haven't insulted him or add petrol to the fire. I am merely asking him questions which I believe he is refusing to answer. |
Not entirely true to say they do the SAME THING. Finally, I am referring you back to my orginal point which I made about china. Note that my comment was focused on what this debate was about - China ElRazur:A point which you initially disagree with, but then indirectly agree with later. ![]() |
@labiyemmy:Can you answer the question please. ![]() What would happen if you select a data on the list? Would you be able to use the edit function or not to change the inputs? |
@Alabiyemmi Please explain to us this simple scenario. What would happen if you select a data on the list? Would you be able to use the edit function or not to change the inputs? |
Here is the link to what alabi posted as evidence. Please make a note of the "edit option" on his own screen. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-286116.160.html#msg4075723 OMO IBO:Why does he keep making his case over here? Surely, the right thing to do is go to courts? Why does he keep insulting anyone that ask him the obvious? Why does he see the need to insult people's intelligence? Finally omoibo, you cannot judge some one on what they are in every debate. Assuming if Kobo loves controversies [which I doubt], it do not mean his contribution in this thread is not valid. To dismiss people simply because they do not share your view is not the way to go in my opinion. |
@labiyemmy:Keep it up. I just refuse to sink low am afraid. You clearly ain't getting this are you. Allow me to explain it to you again. You took a screen shot from the OP right? To show he/she stole your ideas, you made mention of a specific spelling error. You then posted your own screen shot highlighting the error. I noted that your screen shot which shows the similarities and highlighted "the spelling error" have an "edit button" button. I pointed this out and you seem to still not get it. The edit button is there for a reason isnt? Nah wah o. I am begining to think you are not what you say you are, a professional that thinks this way? It leaves so much for the mind, sorry to say. I gave you my number, my address, everything, well meaning folks have called me up, I have shown them reasons on my laptop- these are people who are sensible, not someone who makes a fool of him or self in the process of prooving super human and understnad everything,.You can think what you want. I refuse to meet up with a guy who have made threats, abuse, curse and insult people in a debate. Sorry, but I really do not feel comfortable with it. How hard is that to understand? Finally if your proof is solid, why are you still doing the talking instead of the courts? ![]() |
@labiyemmy:At least two people have corrected you on your misunderstanding. I asked a question. I never claimed you did. These questions are obvious questions anyone who see the evidence you posted would have asked. I asked you before, and am asking you again. If you post an evidence with a "big edit" button on the screen shot - an evidence that is suppose to show a spelling error or something. Now tell me, my understanding of "edit" in this case is that it gives the user the ability to highlight an area and make a correction" Right? Cool. Now, if you posted that sort of evidence, do you honestly expect people not to ask you question about "the big edit button and possibility of editing"? I look forward to your answer on this one.I don't need your respect. It is a forum for crying out loud. |
Iran. Taiwan. and some of these far eastern country carries harsh penalty on drug use - Death, hanging, firing squad, life imprisonment etc. Yet people are still actively using drugs in these place. The point is, no nation can completely stop the use of drug on any age level within his/her population. Drugs smuggling is a global business and the people behind it are finding "new and innovative ways" to get drugs to the people who need them. To point and blame society and social norms is a bit short-sighted. Drug use and control is a complex and very broad area. What would you call "Stricter values"? Please point at what you think are lax society norms that actively encourage kids to do drugs. |
@labiyemmy:Another proof that he throw his toys away once he considers people's views are opposing to his. For the record, I refuse to take sides and if you really have a case, then please go to the courts. ![]() |
JustGood:It is hard to think about a question that is not clear cut. Sorry, I dont have super powers. ![]() I never concluded it is alright for the UK to the same thing. Instead, I am agreeing that UK makes attempts to control her citizens too. However, unlike china, things can be readily challenged in the UK. For example, protesters have for years camped in front of the Government building here as a result of the court over-ruling the action to remove them. On contrast, the Tienanmen square memorial gathering is actively nipped and disrupted by China - even though this year's one was a peaceful one. The point is UK and China do control their citizens, however the level at which they do are totally different. The internet is a super highway, it should be free from government control in my opinion. |
texazzpete:Too hard? Devil's advocate? Erm . . . I don't know about you, but am a little bit wary of meeting up with a guy that appears to throw his toy out of the pram when things do not go his ways. If he is quick to throw insult and even curse people on here. . . . Being a straight talking guy, I would point out the same things I pointed out here. Who know what his reaction would be? Also, most importantly, he need not show me anything. If he is so sure about his claims. Let him go to the courts. This I have advised him to do a few times. |
JustGood:The funny thing is I feel the same way. Three threads or so now, you appear to be on a collusion course with me - Something I am not keen on. The problem here is that without your definition of what is proper and what is meaningful, I honestly have a feeling that you would dismiss what ever one points at you. Hence, why I asked for clarification of what is good enough for you. Here are a few pointers - Drug is illegal and as such control substances. That only would deter most of the population. Addicts have detoxifying programmes and society integration initiatives. Several initiates directed at kids in areas where they may be prone to drug-abuse and users/dealers etc. Here is a link to give you an idea of what it is been done http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/drugs/drugs-misuse/ # protecting communities through robust enforcement to tackle drug supply, drug-related crime and anti-social behaviourThere is more info on there to read. To claim that the government is not doing anything worthwhile to stop kids from going into drugs is just not true in my view. |
JustGood:Hence why the observational statement was a question. Nice try you. |
JustGood:Say what? You asked a question you got an answer. Can we stick to the points at hand instead of bringing in another "Biina style" of questioning "authority". Where have I determine what is good for other nations specifically? Gosh. |
By the way, we ain't ran out of crude oil. We are merely having supply issues. I think our crude oil reserves should last another decade or may be more. |
It represses, gags and encrouch on freedom. Fundamental human freedom. The Uk have proper courts and laws where things can be challenged. When it comes to controlling citizens, comparing china with Uk is not a fair comparison. No? |
@justgood. What would be your acceptable form of "proper attempts" I think I may be able to give you a few. but first, I need to know your definition of proper attempts. |
If this is true, then interesting. However, seeing that powerful forces are behind the oil output of nigeria - be it legal or illegal. I very much doubt they can afford for this to happen - maybe in the short run though. I suspect their would be some sort of solution soon. Whether back door, illegal or legal. |
Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2 Star dust HD GT5P All these games are from my collection. I am now going back to play them online and what not. |
This is not about porn, this is about China wanting to control everything its citizens are doing. |
Omo Ibo. He's been very vocal - which is understandable. However, it gets to a point people would think [or say] "Put a proof up, go to the courts or shut up". How long more would the bickering back and fourth over who copied, paid and pirated who will go on for? |
More internal divide and power struggle? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/8118139.stm More than 100 MPs appear to have snubbed an invitation to celebrate Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's election win, local press reports say. |
Yes. What secretion? |
The movie at 2.5 hours with constant transformations, gun shots, gun fights and blow ups. . . to be fair is worth every penny for a guy. ![]() |
Tayo-D:Yeah I do see your reasons for saying so. I was hoping those who have been blindingly vocal about Iran issues would at least say something. |
honeric01:What do you mean "you people"? Anyway, the election had interest from all media outlets - western and non-western. I guess it depends on which source you get your news from. You do not have to "know the oppositions that well" when there are source where one can get a quick facts on them, who they are and what they represent. People are paying attention as a result of how the Iran's authorities have manoeuvred in this whole fiasco so far. Lastly, why is it only in tehran that they have protests? What about the rest 49 provinces? Are they all in support of the result or the candidate that won?Tehran is the boiling point and a major rally point for all everyone who felt they had to protest against what they see asa blatant rob of their votes. There is strength in numbers you see. There may be protest in other places, but right now the whole world is focused on Tehran. ![]() |
patwhizkid:I really really love you too baby. ![]() |
OneNaija:This one is even funnier www.smouch.net/lol |
