Caseless:I think the beauty of Nairaland is in it's simplicity, easy to use interface and variety of sections. I'm sure the founder is smart enough not to toy with these things. |

I have warned you to stay on your lane now, but your juvenile delinquent mind still finds that naked fire attractive ba? |
Ikorodu again? Nothing Good dey ever happen for Ikorodu. We should just donate that area called Ikorodu to the marine kingdom. Maybe they'll have better luck. |
Naughtytboy:Why e dey pain you? Na your ass dem dey lick or Na your tongue dem dey take lick am. ![]() I'll give you this one. Try again and let's see If you won't eventually throw yourself off Eko bridge. |
Enough of this cry baby tendency already. ![]() |
While there are some profound truths in his words, there are also profound lies too. I'm quite aware that the North had wanted to break away even way before it occurred to biafra. I'm also aware that Yorubas never were against the east leaving the union. In the immortalized words of the late sage, Awolowo, "If the easterners were allowed to secede, then the west won't remain in Nigeria". I have several times have to reiterate the position held by most Yorubas (I don't pretend to speak for the Yoruba nation), that we don't really care If the easterners leave or stay. The truth is, it really doesn't make any difference to the average Yoruba fellow. I have been banned by overzealous mods on this forum first supporting secession I Hope they won't ban me again this time o. ![]() |
English is the lingua franca of Nigeria, but unfortunately, it seems Hausa is the lingua franca of Northern Nigeria. Like every tribe, the Hausas have their Good points and their bad points. But it seems their bad points overshadow the good whenever we hear of underage marriage, religious extremism and intolerance, debilitating poverty, confounding illiteracy coming from their angle. They should work on themselves as a people. For the most part though, Hausa common folks and northerners are as hardworking as any other tribe in Nigeria, honest and humble to strangers...and they have lovely women too. |
Why should anyone pay tax? ![]() We are our own Local Govt. I provide water for myself by sinking a borehole in my yard. I provide security for myself by contributing to resident association fees to hire local nightwatch men. I provide electricity for the larger part of 24hrs by running my generators endlessly. I contribute to have the road that leads up to my house fixed. I have my mobile phone on me at all times, no phone booth anywhere in the country. What else do I really need from my government really? I'm self sufficient. The money I might have paid as tax has gone into buying fuel for my gen. |
Ashleydolls:Wow, is that you on your profile? Weren't you afraid sitting on the edge of that cliff? |
I'm pretty sure those couples mentioned posted their pre-wedding pictures all over the internet. Some people think marriage is just like playing daddy and Mommy when we were still kids, but with the benefit of real sex. |
Kenshinmunac:Please do. If she's yours, she's yours and a year to get to know each other better won't change that fact. You're young. Take your time. Marriage is no child's play. All the best. |
Aimosagie:You're quite right. I keep saying that it's a woman's world. Men are just playing at power, women hold the real power. Good looks and a Good attitude will make me damn near servile to my woman. Now, If That's your pics on your profile: *in Liam Neeson's voice "I have a very particular set of skillz, I will find you and I will...marry you" ![]() Seriously though, you look Good. |

If she's your friend's babe you should know she's off limits now ![]() Or do you want us to consult Ifa on a matter so straightforward? |
The lips have to look good and kissable really, otherwise I don't think I can make any kind of move. Modified* Like the last picture. ![]() |
That's beautiful. I hope they make a perfect match for each other. |
Aren't there better ways to show affection to your son? These are the kinds of mother who change in front of their teenage sons and tell you there's Nothing wrong. Everything's wrong about it. Those stories of incest you hear or read about in the news, d'you think it just suddenly started that day? |
I guess Nairaland won't be complete without those males who are so desperate for attention they pretend to be female. ![]() Decent and serious guys are even afraid to send pms anymore. |
Kenshinmunac:Postpone marriage talks till this time next year. You'll Thank me later. I promise you. |
OP change the married to marry... |
What a pity. |
luvmijeje:The main goal of any valid spiritual practice or path is to lead to the full awareness of the Self. That is the primary function of the third eye. To discover Self and the Truth. There are other secondary functions like developing the hands of a healer, becoming a seer (someone who actually sees), psychic protection i.e how to open and close your aura when necessary, etheric cleansing, astral travel and so on. The truth is that, we humans are made to the image and likeness of God, the Almighty Creator. The Bible hints that we are little less than gods ourselves, yet we fall sick, depressed, we go hungry, wild animals scare us even when God has given us the authority to subdue the earth. Our powers as humans created in likeness to God lies dormant in our unawakened third Eye. Which in some quarters is also known as the seat of the soul. Such powers can be used for good or for evil. If you approach the process of awakening your third eye primarily because you are hungry for the powers that are attached, then it is most likely you'll use it for evil. Purity of intention matters a lot when opening your third eye. It is absolutely right that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is also the Light of the world that shines in the darkest of nights. We are also called to be the lights that shine on the hilltop, to light the way for ourselves and others, not the light placed under a bushel. Christianity is way more than going to church on Sundays and clapping and singing and generally entertaining ourselves. Singing about heaven or God or whatever it is we sing about in church doesn't affect us spiritually. It only helps us feel Good for the moment. By the time we step out of church and we get home, by Monday morning we are back to default settings and our spiritual growth goes round and round in circles. The only way we can truly grow spiritually is If we give all of ourselves to God without reservation. But How can we do that when we don't even own all of ourselves. Have you noticed how your mind is never present with you? It's either in the past reminiscing or it's in the future planning ahead. How do you give that part of yourself to God when you can't even control it? ![]() |
luvmijeje:You'll notice that all throughout my submissions I've never mentioned predicting the future or what not. Those are lesser functions of the third eye and frankly shouldn't interest the genuine seeker of truth. The future I believe should be left firmly in God's hands and I think those who seek to peep Ito the future commit a sin against God. Haven said that. The Bible quotation we are talking about, Matt 6:22 shows the dual nature of the third eye. It is a potential or force that can either be used for Good or for evil depending on the individual's inclination. It is a potential that lies dormant in everyone. It's just like the tongue. Everybody has one. A person may decide to use his organ of speech to praise God or to lie and calumnise his neighbour. Or the sexual organs, vagina for female, penis for male. Each individual has gotten one. They may decide to fornicate with it, get involved in homosexual activity with it or honor God's will by using it appropriately. Same with the third eye. |
luvmijeje:Yes, the eye being single is third Eye. The following verse shows that there's a struggle between the spiritual and the profane. Between God and mammon No one can be said to be attaining spiritual height and still be clinging to material wealth. Spiritual awakening signified by the opening of the third Eye also known as the eye of faith can't be compatible with materialism. |
rozayx5:Obviously something must chasing you, that's why you barged into my mentions with a juvenile attitude. I'll pretend I didn't see this. Now quietly sneak out. |
jasysandra:I fear for the generation our kids will grow in. I cant imagine the level of atrocities that will be committed. |
luvmijeje:Use the Douay Rheims version and requote Matt 6:22 |
luvmijeje:Lol. Which Bible version are you quoting from? |
Gone are the PDP and Jonathan days where If you are the son of the daughter-in-law of the brother of the cousin of the uncle of the nephew of the SSA to the local government chairman of your area, you'll be entitled to riding luxurious cars with escorts and sirens blaring. Then, dipping hands into the nation's purse was a normal thing. This time even If you dip your hands, there's nothing in the purse anymore. |
luvmijeje:I get what you're saying. And there probably are many ways to experience Jesus. But I'm only trying to Let you see that the Bible actually has hidden messages for those who truly seek. Maybe it's not the way for you, but don't condemn those who go through that path. You haven't seen this route in the Bible only Because you're not seeking for it. Remember, ask, and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened onto you. There are lots of hidden mystical statements in the Bible. That's why it seems sometimes like the Bible contradicts itself. |
