Congo huh
That was before he got an injury and out for a year ...this dude is just recuperating.
Agreed, he's recuperating. You should know that a pacy and a tactically sound Ebuehi is still there and wouldn't be as bad as you're trying to make us believe.

He held his own against Algeria.

What's the different between apko and awaziem..the duo are makeshift RB ...apko did very well today and after he paid his dues and made his way out for awaziem who did very well...so no biasness here.
Ebuehi is fan's favorite he is my boy but the fact he can't handle of such physicality, even apko faded out at a stage in the match...the RB position was sealed today...no mistake for that wings.
Ebuehi can't handle what?

We all saw this guy's performance against Congo in Port Harcourt in one of the previous world cup games.

At least you have confirmed that we created chances. We will come good next time

SackRohr grin
Was that under dispute?

We could have lost as a consequence of our wastefulness.

Talk true na
Of course! Couldn't take any of our chances during the game, just moments to the end of the game those guys came close to a shock win.

Without Osimhen, our attack is just toothless.

This is a team ranked 120th for god's sake.

Our ranking would take a serious beating.

Been watching but have been missing the action. I just can't get fixated myself to this match.

I can't really fault our display, pitch is nonsense.

What nonsense!!

Where were those who were downgrading the Benin stadium in favor of this?

Ahmad Ahmad needs to be ousted an CAF chairman after this match.

What nonsense? angry angry

he should forget his money if he resigns cos na anytime NFF feel like dem go settle am, the ball will be in NFFs court if he tries it

If he does resign who should take over from him? I'm sure you don't have yobo in mind
If he resigns, shimgban him no go get, except his arrears if owed any.

Why Yobo, Rohr is not the only available option out there, before now, I knew nothing about him. Once the vacancy exist, worthy candidates would come forth.

smartsmith0907:
My Broda to be candid with you ...I don't really see biasness in rohr selection but his only mistakes was his inability to read games.
Aina didnt start because of his height...rohr argued the sierra Leonian are tall..and their aerial threat could be neutralized by apkoguma who is taller than aina...if you notice rohr was very quick to introduce Paul that was because of their aerial threat..
His inability to read games cost him the game.
You're so funny man!

That was how you justified Musa's starting by insinuating experience the other day.

Isn't Ebuehi tall enough? What Aeriel threat are we to expect from the wings ni tori olorun?

Paul is a striker, which Aeriel threat was he brought in to neutralize? Without him, we've confidently put 4 goals past the Sierra Leoneans, what was he need for?

Rohr is a dunce! No caps.

FG will pay him off...that where Dare can come in..
Alright, his contract expires by the 31st of December 2022, that's about 24 months away from now.

He's rumoured to be paid about $50,000 monthly, that's about $1.2 million, there are also arrears to be paid.

Anyway, it's affordable.

That's common sense honestly. Even winning might not be enough. For all we know his sack letter is being typed
Except there's a clause in his contract that permits us to terminate him when in certain situations.

I'm not sure Nigeria can afford to pay him off.

Uzoho was pulling a match of the match performance against Brazil before he was injured e be like say una don forget

Uzoho has rescued us from tight spots especially during the world cup
Uzoho was exposed in our Afcon qualifying match against Libya, reason why he lost his spot to Akpeyi in the competition proper. You can't say he has always been reliable.

Aina was Terrible in those games too. He lacks assertiveness, that's why I always hammer him.

You use a player that fits into your formation. Rohr will not use kayode because he does not play in a top league which us foolish.
Rohf is tactically deficient and fors not undetstand the strength and weakness of his players and hiw they fit in.
For example maurinho used drogba ahead of stars like crespo because he could play as a lone striker in his fofmation. Rohr does not have a strategy or game plan. Just picking players from top leagues without understanding their style of play or how they fit into his strategy.
In fact sone very goid pkayers cannot play for guardiola because their style if play does not fit in.
Rohr does not know what he is doing
I've always called him a dunce. That just what he is.

This isn't the first time I'm saying it.

Maduka only made it this far because the circumstances favored him to. Had Akpeyi reported to camp earlier, he should be starting.

Maduka is far far far inexperienced in comparison.

Worst is that Iwobi later gasses and we turn to blank.

Actually, we pressed with numbers earlier and later stopped, increase the need for individual pressing ability and a scattered shape.

This falls on Rohr accepting the system, selecting players who can suit the system and training the team to play it.

Well, they were good signs.
Yea, with Iwobi, he tires out quickly. That's a negative.

For the press to be effective, it has to start from the front and Osimhen leads the team in that regard, his alternatives don't possess that ability, the only one person I could think of right now is Kayode, Kayode is insane with his pressing. Not Nacho, not onuachu.

I've said it before and I'm saying it again, Akpeyi is our best goalkeeper.

His distribution is better than anyone in that team.

TheGoodJoe:
I think Rohr needs to work on our team relying more on pressing to defend than sitting back to secure leads. We are naturally not built for a conservative stance.

Our players are better on the front foot.

Rohr's selections should tilt towards a conditioned pressing unit, when you compromise with our true identity, we Suffer.

Stamina is key to win this kind of game. Keeping fatigued players is a recipe for Disaster.

Finally, Rohr needs to attend to the midfield balance. We lost shape repeatedly due to no defined roles during transition of play. The team needs to work on passing channels and maintaining compact shape in the middle because the World is growing fast with respect to this.

They were positives but lots of lessons to learn.

Unfortunately, the team is far from ready.
Osimhen, Iwobi, without these two, our pressing is nonsense.

We can't effectively adopt this system if we don't have more of such players.
