Gareth Southgate lines up Fikayo Saka for England Call up

England manager Gareth Southgate has tipped Nigeria-born Bukayo Saka to challenge for a place in the English squad ahead of the Euro 2020.

England saw off stiff competition from Nigeria to capture Chelsea duo of Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, with the duo in the the three lions squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers with Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

The former England U-21 coach believes they can get another one over Nigeria by naming the talented as one of the exciting youngster at his disposal for next summer’s tournament.

“We’ve got Callum Hudson-Odoi coming through and other players are emerging so quickly,” he said.

“You’ve got Bukayo Saka at Arsenal just dipping his toes in the first team as well. So, we’ve got really good players, we need more than three.

“I’ve always said that in tournaments that I played in, we always pinned our hopes on one player or two players. Southgate said.

Born in England, Saka is of Nigerian decent and has represented England at under-16, under-17 , under-18 and under-19 level.

Saka scored the winner for the England under-18 team in an away game against France and also cored on his under-19 debut against Moldova in 2018.

The man is compromised, and he is having his way bkus the NFF is owing him 3months salary, plus the no interference clause he coerced the NFF to insert in his deal. He is giving the unmeritted invites to the highest bidders at the detriment of the team, otherwise, tell me how otabor deserved a call up ahead of better players like Ebere Eze
OK agreed...my guy mention anoda player dt doesn't deserve to b dere aside dt otabor

Out of 23...he made gud 22 choices,so y d fuss, its not as if dis eze guy its one messier, na because say e Neva play for us,we dey rank am high,I wish he's even invited and let c him play.

the guy never serious to play .

When a lot of Young and hungry player are looking to play in France, this Mumu is being lazy and wants to go back to a pensioner league.
I could remember when rohr said onyekuru show off a lot, reason he doesn't start games,so many ppu here called him unprinted names, same man told us dt osimhen is lightweight against African defenders back den(we knew aw poor osihmen was against Tunisia;falling like a pack of cards)...at times when dis coaches talk ,we shld try to always give dem benefit of doubt cos dey watch dis players daily @ close quarters.

Anyway as for onyekuru,I hope he changes for good, cos osihmen has changed and now he's becoming indispensable in eagles team smiley

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that CSKA Sofia dazzler Viv Solomon-Otabor has been handed a late call-up to the Super Eagles squad for their friendly against Brazil.

The former Birmingham City Young Player of the Year trained with the Dream Team before the 2016 Olympic Games, and this is the first time in his career he has been summoned to the senior national team.

Solomon-Otabor was available at short notice because he was already placed on a standby list not made public by the Nigeria Football Federation when the roster for the friendly against the South Americans was announced last month.

Gernot Rohr has invited him as a result of the uncertainty surrounding the fitness of Bordeaux winger Samuel Kalu.

Kalu is nursing a slight injury and was not in the matchday 18 when Bordeaux played Toulouse on Saturday.

Born in London 23 years ago, Solomon-Otabor has pledged his international allegiance to Nigeria over his country of birth, England.

This season, the skillful winger has appeared in seven efbet Liga matches for CSKA Sofia and was involved in the Europa League third round qualifier against Zorya Luhansk.
Who could predicted dis guy invitation?
We go just dey disturb oursef for d next player to b invited ...nobody saw dis coming or mentioned his name here once smiley

The streets are more important than any single academy. There are things you learn on the streets that can't be thought by even Pep Guardiola. You can only take so much of what you learn at academies on the pitch but you will always need street smarts and you will always need toughness. They don't teach you that at academies.
STREET----RAW TALENT

ACADEMY--- FINESSE THE RAW TALENT(tactical display ,positional awareness) etc
