charlesemeka85: truth be told he was golden in the u17 World Cup
A direct replica of John Obi Mikel in our youth teams but too light weight and lazy which I believe slowed he’s progression since he moved to Europe
Even one of the academy coaches in arsenal when Nwakali joined them said he doubt if the lad will make it to men’s football
He is technical and intelligent on the ball with good shooting and passing ability but lack that grit required in midfield by coaches of this era and that hv been he’s major issue D grit can be provided by some one else in midfield dept…dt his intelligence is needed in dt our midfield..na wetin we Dey talk b dt , Unfortunately when we talk about his technicality and intelligence, only iwobi is at par ..in fact when it it comes to maneuvering himself with simple technique in tight spaces in d middle, nobody comes close |

They can’t just keep mute about his situation |

chrisooblog: Decent group. On paper we have undoubtedly the more talented assembly of players but talent in itself is not enough especially in today's modern game.
Whoever is made the sports minister should have qualifying for the world cup as part of their KPI. This means giving the NFF every support they can spare because the present football leadership doesn't look proactive enough.
Between Uyo and Abuja stadium should be our home ground. Every effort should be put in place to ensure the pitch is to our favour.
Coaching matter should be sorted ASAP between JP or Finidi. I'm quietly confident any of the two should be able to qualify the SEs.
With determination and some luck by God's grace Nigeria will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Nff is not serious with dis coach of a thing…Dey need to come out and make a bold official statement concerning jp contracts if he would be retained or not….and if otherwise,Dey shld employ a new coach asap to start gathering informations about our group opponents |

ChrisKels: You claimed to have been born and bred in the UK, precisely England, the original owners of the language called English, but over time you have proven to be very poor with the language, and you always think ambiguity is a proof for a good command of the language. You really do struggle with simple sentence constructions because your lexis and structures are quite poor.
What makes you think that "five top teams..." is same as "top five teams..."? Lol …but e no mean sha cos I av come across some British citizen who can’t read or write in English language…in fact one told me he has never been in 4 wall corners of a classroom..it has always been from his family house to care homes to another care home |

TheGoodJoe: So it is no more synergy but signing top class players.
Our problem is poor scouting and poor selection. You can get quality players by signing or thorough scouting. If we emphasize playing great and make it a priority, we can also emphasize thorough scouting too.
That is why I said the talk of National team not playing well is a myth.
Also, in one of our preseason games, Guardiola took players from the junior teams of Manchester City and got them playing brilliantly. The team had the likes of McAteer, Lavia, Edozie, Palmer, Esbrand and others. They delivered smooth possessive offensive play. I guess you will say Guardiola signed the top players.
Playing good football falls down to laying the essentials and building on it.
Finito. So who do u recommend for d coaching role Extend jp contract or amunike /finidi or finidi/ladan bosso or amunike/ladan bosso or anoda foreign coach? |

Even though our cb is not too good ,I believe if d midfield problem is solve ..we re good to go…a good midfield will make ur defense superb |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by elyte89: 1:53pm On Jul 06, 2023 |
chrisooblog: Exactly my point. The games he's winning are matches we are ordinarily expected to win so what else has he brought to the table? Are our midfield transitions better? Is our defense more solid? What's our best formation?
Rohr for all his limitations we already knew what formation he loved to deploy and could see his semi-conservative style (to be fair he did try to break out of the mold from time to time)
One thing that sticks out about the team under JP is the way we concede goals at will.
I've watched the SE enough times under JP to conclude he's not the solution. Na dt money wey him dey collect dey vex ppu pass…aw will u b earning $70k and be struggling against a decent side …if to say na $25k per month now..I 4 support make dem retain am😎 |

Truidstar: I am talking from a logical and financial situation of the NFF. Remember he is still owed about 7 months and he has shown understanding and worked in that condition. He has condemned himself by saying he will win the Afcon. Let him continue, time is too short to make changes. Well it is not official yet dt he has been relieved Cos I no trust all dis ojuelegba news .I get ur point though |

Truidstar: Bro, why should he not be retained? Did he or did he not meet his objectives? It’s a matter of choice if he’s to be retained or not except if it was included in his contract dt qualifying for an afcon tourney, his contract must be extended. |

JohnBullMySon: Are we at the same level of development as Portugal? You make decisions based on reality not sentiment. Do you know how many quality coaches Portugal has?
And BTW, why are people even calling for the sack of Peseiro? He was brought in after the last AFCON and given an objective to win the next AFCON, he just qualified us with a game to go, with four wins and just a single loss. He has lots of support within the players.
On what criteria should he be sacked? Bro if dem relieve am…u fit employ am for ur team😎 |

chrisooblog: Similar yes but not the same.
The new coaching still have at least three or four FIFA windows to fine tune the squad, know the players and imbibe the tactics they want to go with before the AFCON in January next year.
There's nothing about JP's tenure that really feels me with confidence that the team is going in the right direction. If jp wants to be relieved…dis is the right time to do so…waiting till nov/dec might lead to same rohr scenario |

Barryseal: Listen, when profiling a player, look beyond nationality if you can, possibly remove all personal bias. Bassey has a decent profile, in terms of age and position CB/LB. Beyond that, he is found wanting in very key areas. He lacks discipline and his technique is very suspect. Ajax got him to replace Martinez and you can see the drop off in quality. You must be one of the jokers who thought Okoye was going to be decent at Watford because he's Nigerian.. Lol Ur second paragraph summarizes bassey…he lacks discipline and his technique off and on d ball is suspect, hence leading to one or two schoolboy errors during d game My heart palpitate whenever I c him start as a cb for us,baba go sha commit one unnecessary mistake, even at d lb I still prefer dt Porto guy to him but if he can calm his nerves and play maturely he would b a great asset. |

Kog45: If CLEVERLEY is a Nigerian what would you say regarding his age but to some any Nigeria players that retired early must be due to age
My question do we say CLEVERLEY retired due to age or what…..yes Okocha talked about age cheat and the same Okocha is in his mid 50 but claiming 1973.I watched Kanu in 1991 in Ilorin against Ranchers Bees playing for Iwuatanwu Nationals in FA cup but the same Kanu made Japan 93,so I know much about this age wahala but sometimes we need to look deep why some of our players don’t last long in football.
If you don’t know Felix Owolabi played through 70s to 90s and he is a Nigerian. We cannot just be picking holes in our players age to rubbish them.It was here someone said Moses Simon has reached his peak due to age cheat but the same Simon is being courted by Nice. Why Dey don’t last long was answered by jj Okocha in Dt interview , if u care to listen 😎 |
