Yes u can apply,all u need do is scan a document reflecting ur status as a serving corps member and hope for the best.
I'm also batch A and I've applied.

The application site is just so crappy,I have been trying to upload my documents which is the 8th stage but I've not been able to upload the docs.

I'm beginning to think this PTDF scholarship may not be for real after all,they could not fund those that applied for 2013/2014 and they are calling for new applications.The scholarship scratch card is not even available,which is very much unlike PTDF.I looked for the card in the major branches of First Bank,today and none of them had the cards.Even trying to buy a pin with my ATM card proved abortive because their website has been disabled from such operation.And PTDF have been complaining of bankruptcy of recent.This leaves me wondering if they can actually fund these scholarships they have advertised for.
Those of u who have applied,please how did u get ur pin,is it by scratch card or ATM card.If it is by scratch card,please I would like to know the branch of First bank u bought it from.

To be on the safe side,if u are interested in doing a masters in Subsea Engineering,just indicate it in ur application and prepare towards it, to avoid getting into problems in the future.

PTDF oversees scholarship test for 2013/2014 will no longer hold this year. PTDF has decided to combine the scholarship test with that of 2014/2015. Both sets will be awarded the scholarship by September next year. Meanwhile registration has started for the next set which is the 2014/2015. The applications for NITDA next year's scholarship has it been done and concluded? I was surprised when I saw it in a scholarship blog that the applications for next year's scholarship has been concluded since June.

1forall: All those certs are good and would get you onto a career in IT but why not research your options and find out for yourself?

I say so because the Cisco and Microsoft tracks are in different areas of the IT field which are not exclusive of each other. People can make recommendations but you would best identify what you like when you come across it.

I would suggest narrowing your focus to either MS or Cisco depending on your area of interest in the IT field which from your post seems to be closer to the Cisco side of things.

However your research if well done should reveal to you that there telecoms is a very wide field, and there are many more certs in telecoms than Cisco as virtually every technology provider has their own set of certifications, see an alphabetical list here: https://www.nairaland.com/936273/list-all-it-certifications-1611

Which brings us back to the question: What aspect really interests you?

My interest lies in Networking and Security.I guess I'll have to go with Cisco.

I am a fresh graduate of Electrical/Electronics Engineering and I am interested in Communications.Infact I intend pursuing a career as an IT personnel(Communications) in the telecommunication industry.I will like to know which certifications are "HOTCAKE" in the telecommunications industry.I am confused whether to go for cisco certifications(CCNA,CCNP,CCSP) or microsoft cerifications(MCSA,MCSE,MCITP).

Training in Microsoft office will help you as an undergraduate of computer engineering but is not a necessary criteria for studying computer engineering.Infact computer engineering is very similar to Electrical/Electronics Engineering.You will do virtually do the same as Elect/Elect Engr students until your final year before u will major in Computer Engineering.This is not to dissuade you from studying Computer Engineering but personally I will recommend Computer Science as it is more lucrative and has more applications in industries than the Computer Engineer.
The Computer Engineer studies basically hardware and Communication Systems and Networks but the Computer Scientist studies Software Development,Networking,Software Engineering and lots more.The various programs are developed by the Computer Scientists so in actual sense He/She is more useful than the Computer Engineer.

daicee: like modash sed....it cud be a blessing in disguise. u can defer your admission till next session and work twds other scholarships against next session. U can wait till u are sure u wont make achool dis year b4 u defer.

A year before now, i had two admissions in two uk schools but, had to defer them cos of no scholarhsip. Today, i have 3 admissions in 3 diff uk schools which i now have to defer considering the situation. I bought the MSc form for unilag,,now ASUU strike! ....lol.....smh...

my opinion,,, regardless of the dead state of the country, life just has to continue. prepare for the worst,, hope for the best,,,trust God all the way.

but again,,wish there is a way we can make our voices heard on this issue and not just on nairaland

The truth is that the chances of PTDF awarding overseas scholarship this year is very slim.If u can't make it with PTDF this year does not mean u can't make it next year,there are other oppurtunities out there.

Pls help.[/quote]The test is to take place @ UNIBEN ICT centre.Don't know if the time allocated for each person is different,but mine is 12pm.You are required to come along with a print out of the mail and a valid means of identification(National ID Card,Drivers License,or Intl Passport).

I just received an SMS from Dragnet instructing me to log in with my ID and password,providing a valid email address and mobile number and choosing a preferred Test venue for an aptitude test slated to hold on 31st of July,don't know if anyone received the same message.
