Hello guys,

My HP Notebook Pro laptop shuts down on it's own. Me and my friends have done some troubleshooting, the hard disk is okay, likewise is the RAM. The battery charges well too and the laptop is not overheating as the fan is working well. The error that prompts from the event manager is Kernel-Processor-Power failure, I think the laptop is losing power.

Has anyone experienced such before and how did you go about it.

Please guys I need your help.

Hello Guys,

My HP laptop shuts down on it's own when I'm working with it. I did some tests and the Hard disk is fine.I also observed the laptop is not overheating as the fan is working well. A friend of mine said the system is losing power that is why it shuts down by itself. He said the board needs to be serviced.

In my case TA requires that you complete a semester before applying, while RA offers come in play after rigorous networking with professors while on campus.

What about getting other partial scholarships/fellowships, can they be kept alongside PTDF? These funds can come in handy esp for someone looking to do OPT after MSc or for someone considering a dual-master's.

If you get PTDF you wouldn't need another scholarship. As much as I know, I don't think you can combine PTDF with another scholarship unless they PTDF are not aware.

If you have TA/RA, you wouldn't need PTDF unless it does not cover tuition.

I have always told my friends that going back to school after Bsc isn't for me, not in a country like Nigeria, as far as am concerned it is still waste of time
If you're the type that believes in white collar job, I think it's time u fasten your seat belt and trust God for a good job. As for me I already know what next I'd have saved 400k by the time am done with service. With the help of my parents I should be able to set up my fashion business with nothing less than 1million.
If you're still in school and u don't wanna get stranded after service pls try saving some money, encourage your parents to support you with whatever business you wanna set up after NYSC. Hope this helps.

Just thank God you're from a well-to-do family. Not everybody have the opportunity you have. A student that struggles through school, how do you expect such to save? The best thing for an undergraduate to do is to get a viable skill which can sustain him/her after graduation. Personally I regret why I did not acquire any skill/vocation while in school.
