The ROAD to BEING is DOING.
Business / Starting Small by Emasky4real(m): 7:29am On Apr 21, 2016
"The biggest dog was once a puppy.”- John Mason

Starting small requires courage. The key to growing big is starting. If you don’t start, you will remain where you have always being. To start small and grow big, you need to be aware of some truth and steps that will serve as a guide to attaining your wildest dream. Some of the steps and basic truth include the following:

1. Define exactly where you are going: Real success does not come by accident or chance; it is a product careful plan, backed by action and persistence which does not recognize failure. To begin you must have a clear picture of where you are going, and map out your plan of how you are going to get there. The essence of this is to avoid being a victim of missing the mark or target as you progress on your journey to becoming a bigger you. If you don’t know where you are going, anywhere you get to remains your destination.

Tweet: If you don’t know where you are going, anywhere you get to remains your destination @taiwoemayosan

2. Accept that you must do what you have to do in order to do what you want to: One basic truth you have to know as a starter is the fact that you have to do what you need to do in order to do what you want to do. A typical example is the case of a young graduate who had a dream of starting his own business, but lack capital. He didn’t sit down whining and complaining. He went ahead to look for menial jobs, worked for some months, raised money for his business, quitted doing menial jobs and launched his own business. If you are on the verge of starting business and complaining of no capital, one thing you must have in mind is that raising capital is part of the process.

3. Start with what you can do: You don’t need .

Business / 6 Reasons People Remain Poor by Emasky4real(m): 6:57am On Apr 14, 2016
I want to believe you read my previous post on
the mystery of money, if you have not, try to
read it. Financial education is one of the main
themes of this blog, and I will try as much as
possible to write on topics that will help to turn
your financial life around.

One of my natural gifting is
the ability to observe objects and events
critically and draw essential lessons from them.
You will agree with me that some persons due to
their background or setback in business or career
have unconsciously chosen to remain poor. The
life of this category people remains static and
unchanging. In the deepest part of their heart, it
is never their desire to remain poor, but most
often they are ignorant of the things that are
holding them back financially. Therefore the
object of this article is to expose those factors
that have the likelihood of keeping one bound in
poverty. It is a popular belief that a problem
identified is 50% solved, so by knowing why
people remain poor, you will be able to position
yourself in the right way so that you won’t be a
victim or reposition yourself in case you are
victim in way that will set you free from the
limitations.

After thorough investigation, some of the reasons
why people remain poor include the following:
1. Solely relying on only one stream of income:
To get out of poverty very fast, one source of
income can never be enough. If you observe the
life of rich people, you will observe that none of
them rely on one source of income. One of the
reasons you are still poor is because you only
depend on one source of come. The average poor
man is a self-employed professional, or an
employee, who earns a meagre salary, and keeps
doing what he does for a living without improving
or thinking of other means of generating money.
When he becomes broke, he blames God, devil or
the government for his financial predicament.
Even after many years of whining, he still
remains at the same spot financially. If you must
get out of poverty, you must have a burning
desire to acquire wealth, and be willing to learn
all that you need to know on how money works,
and apply what you have learned by taking the
right action.

L. Ron Hubbard said, “I never count on any one
source. I always plan to get the total sum of the
money I need from each one of three or four
ways or sources. The mistake people often make
is that once they get a steady source of come
and become comfortable, they naively think they
have arrived. However, as their financial
problems increases, or experience a set back in
business, they regrettably find out how poor they
are. Once you have a steady source of income,
try to create another and yet another until you
have enough streams that will put you where you
desire to be financially.

Celebrities / What Nobody Has Said About Olajumoke; The Bread Seller Turned Supermodel by Emasky4real(m): 9:40am On Mar 04, 2016
Recently the news of Olajumoke Orisaguna the bread seller who turned a supermodel by what I call the intervention of providence has gone viral. People have made different  comments about her sudden  rise to fame and some are even praying and wishing that providence; the universe or God should bring such luck their way. Some have even taken their time to analyze and come up with the lessons that can be learnt in her story, BUT THERE IS ONE THING NOBODY HAS SAID,
AND THAT IS LACK OF SELF-DISCOVERY: THE FACT THAT OLAJUMOKE DID NOT DISCOVER HERSELF. The supermodel in her had always being there, but it is an aspect of her life she has never discovered until she was discovered by the world. Like the foolish man who sold his acres of diamond and went in search of diamond in a distant land in Russel Conwell’s book; acres of diamond, she ignorantly refuses to take a look at what she had within her, but end up selling bread to survive and take care of her belly. If she had discovered the supermodel in her, she would have developed herself, and promote her look and ended up being celebrated if possible before the day she was found. That is the path that most great supermodels took.
To you who are praying that providence should grant you the kind of luck that came the way of olajumoke, stop praying such prayer, discover yourself, develop yourself and market yourself, the world is waiting for you.
Tuface Idibia did it, Micheal Jackson did it , Cristiano Ronaldo did it, Psqare did, Agbani Darigo did it, I know you know more celebrities than I do. These folks, by the power of self-discovery and personal development blended their UNIQUENESS with determination and persistence which does not recognize failure, they work their way to relevance.
There are many olajumoke in different areas of human endeavour today, who are rotting away somewhere living just to survive. Their biggest problem is mostly ignorance. Discover yourself and do something great with your life.

Career / The Success System by Emasky4real(m): 6:21am On Feb 29, 2016
Have you ever considered success as a working system? Personal achievement gurus have said so many things about success and how it can be achieved. However I have sat down and meditated upon so many of the claims regarding the keys to success and found them to be partially true, mere exaggeration and in some cases false conclusion.

Check these claims out:

Endurance is the key to success.
Determination is the key to success.
Patience is the key to success.
Prayer is the key to success.
My people perish (fail to succeed) for lack of knowledge.
There is no such thing as luck. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
Success is a matter of time and chance.

I only listed these few claims as examples of so many claims out there regarding the keys to success. My aim of writing this post is not to disprove these claims , but to help you view the concept of success in a holistic way because to an extent each of the claims are true, but when considered looking at the big picture of success then each claim is nothing but a mere exaggeration or false conclusion.

Napoleon Hill the author of Think and Grow Rich defined success as “the progressive realization of a worthwhile goal.” Other words that are synonymous to success are achievement, accomplishment, attainment, big hit, prosperity, triumph, reward and so on

There are many definitions of a system but for the purpose of this article I have decided to adopt that of business dictionary. According to business dictionary, “a system is an organized, purposeful structure that consists of interrelated and interdependent elements (components, entities, factors, members, parts etc). These elements continually influence one another (directly or indirectly) to maintain their activity and the existence of the system, in order to achieve the goal of the system.”

Success is a system. For success to be possible in any area of our lives, certain factors must work together to make it possible. None of the various success factors can make success possible on their own without the cooperation of other factors. In a system, no part or element is superior to another. This is because the failure of one part or the elimination of one part will lead to a breakdown of the entire system.

For instance, the body is a system which depends on the effectiveness of sub-systems, organs and cells within the body to function effectively. The failure of any of the sub-systems or body parts can lead to a total breakdown of the whole body.

I will also liken success to a pot of soup. A pot of soup is a system. Each of the ingredients that are combined to make the soup plays a unique role in making the soup a soup. The removal of any ingredient will definitely alter the taste, appearance or the aroma of the soup. Above all none of the ingredient can be called a soup on their own.

This also applies to success as system, no part or variable is superior to another. Vision is as important as knowledge, action, patience, persistence and every other factor that constitute the success system. You must accurately combine the various success factors in the right proportion if you must achieve your desired goal. Your disobedience to any of the laws that constitute the success system may lead to failure or extend the time and quality of your desired success.

The Key Success Factors

For one to achieve success in life certain factors are indispensable. However it is important to know that none of these factors can guarantee success on their own. Each factor depends one another to make success possible. Research has shown that the factors discussed below are critical and indispensable for success to be achieved. The factors include:

1. Desire/Ambition/Dream: These words are used synonymously when talking about the foundation of all achievements. Everything we can see in the world today began from the thought of somebody. Even the whole universe was first conceived in the mind of God before it manifested in the physical form. For you to become or have anything, you must first conceive the idea in your mind. Your mental idea of what you want to achieve is the blueprint of success. If you are not satisfied with your current lot in life, you have the responsibility to desire what you want exactly and go after it. This factor is indispensable.

2. Knowledge/Information: it is not enough to know where you are going, you must know how to get there. Knowledge constitutes the information you have about how to achieve your dream, desire or ambition. Having a dream without the knowledge of how to make it come true is useless. The statement “readers are leaders” better explains the role of knowledge in the attainment of success in life. Studying and mentoring serve as a guide or source of information to help the success seeker move from where he is to where he wants to be. Many people failed in life because of lack of knowledge.

3. Courage: Courage is the ideal mindset needed to succeed in life. Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines courage as “mental or moral strength to venture, persevere and withstand danger, fear or difficulty.” Successful men and women in history have been observed to possess this quality called courage. Success is not the birthright of anyone neither is failure, but the courage to try, and try until one becomes successful is what makes a difference. You may have a dream, and even have the knowledge of how to make it come true, but if you lack courage, you will never take action, and by not taking action how is your dream going to come true?

4. Action/Execution: After conceiving the idea of what you want, making plans and breaking down your dream into workable goals, the next factor of success that should come in is action. Dream, and Knowledge, planning and setting goals are useless without action. For your dream to become a reality, you must take action. Many people failed in maximizing their full potential in life because of their inability to take action. Nothing can take the place of action in the success system. It is a very vital factor of success.

5. Persistence/Determination: These two words mean the same thing in the success system, so they are often used interchangeably. Persistence is a component of action. It is not enough to take action for a while and give up due to lack of results or obstacles on your path; you must persist until you succeed. You must not give up on taking action regarding the realization of your goal until it becomes a reality. If you applied every other member of the success system and fail in the area of persistence, you will possibly fail. Some goals can never be achieved easily, they require persistence and determination. Nothing can take the place of persistence. Calvin Coolidge, a former president of the United State of America said ‘’nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talents will not, nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talents, Genius will not do, unrewarded Genius is almost a proverb. Educations will not, the world is full of education derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent.” The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problem of the human race.”

6. Wisdom/ Insight: The success system is not complete without wisdom. According to Cambridge Dictionary, wisdom is defined as “the ability to use your knowledge and experience to make good decisions and judgments.” In life decisions determine destiny. Failure is often as a result of making poor decisions, while success comes as result of quality and wise decisions. Wisdom cannot be acquired, it is inborn. You can gain knowledge, but not wisdom. For example two persons can know the recipe of a particular meal. If you offer them the same amount of ingredients to prepare the meal using the same recipe. It is a fact that the meal prepared by the two will never taste the same. One will definitely taste better than the other. The difference in the outcome of their meal is as a result of how they apply the ingredients given to them. Though they both know the recipe, the decision of how to apply the recipe to get a perfect result comes from within. However your wisdom capacity can be enhanced via the acquisition of knowledge. By devoting yourself to a lifelong learning from books, your own experience and evaluated experience, your ability to rightly apply knowledge will increase. Without wisdom you will not be able to rightly apply the rest members of the success system, and such incompetence can earn you failure in life.

7. Timing: In the success system, the role of timing can never be overemphasized. Action when taken at certain time tend to yield tremendous result, the corollary is also true.

8. Luck: At a time while I was growing in my understanding of how success works, I never believe in the concept of luck, but over time I have come to realize that luck is part of the success system. Every success is made possible as result of some luck. If all the elements of success are applied without the manifestation of luck, success will never be possible. Luck is defined as “the force that seems to operate for good or ill in a person’s life, as in shaping circumstances, events, or opportunities.” Two persons may start a project with the same amount of resources and effort, and one of them may end up successful and the other fails. Most often this kind of outcome is often as a result of luck. A practical example of this scenario is a student who studied very hard in preparation for a major examination. By his level preparation it is certain that he would definitely come out in flying colours, but on the day of the exam, he suddenly became ill and was unable to sit for the exam. In this case we can say he has a bad luck. Though you cannot influence luck but you can improve your chances of good luck by taking care of the other members of the success system. A person who is hard working and prepared for opportunity has the likelihood of having a good luck than his fellowman who folds his hands and expects miracles to happen. Concepts such miracle, grace, angelic visit come under luck in the success system.

In conclusion, within the success system are other elements such as faith, prayer, focus, being open minded, flexibility, emotional intelligence, patience and so on. However it is important to note that many of these factors come under the ones discussed above. For example, faith can be grouped under courage, while prayer, flexibility, patience and emotional intelligence are grouped under action. Timing and luck is not within the control of man, but I believe wisdom and hard work have the capacity to increase your chances of taking timely decisions and having a good luck. I hope to write a comprehensive book on his topic in the future which will provide detail information on the success system and inspire you to succeed. Always have it in mind that none of these factors can guarantee success on their own. They must be rightly combined to make success happen.

Career / Re: How Not To Follow Your Dreams by Emasky4real(m): 6:19pm On Feb 24, 2016
oluwasola007:
When we think about the dreams we have and the dent we want to leave in the universe, it is striking to see how big of an overlap there is between the dreams we have and the projects that never happened. So I am here to share with you today about five ways how not to follow your dreams.

1. Believe in overnight success: You know the story right, the tech guy built a mobile app and sold it very fast for a lot of money. The story may seem real but I bet it is incomplete. If you go investigate further, the guy has done 30 apps before and he has done a master’s on the topic also, he had been working on the topic for like 20years (quite interesting). Your overnight success story is always a result of everything you have done in your life through that moment.

2. Believe someone else has the answers for you: Constantly people want to help out, all sorts of people (your family, friends, and business partner). They all have opinions on which path you should take but you need to make those decisions yourself, no one has the perfect answers for your life and you need to keep picking those decisions.

3. Decide to settle when growth is guaranteed: So your life is going great, you have put together great team, you have growing revenue and everything is set. (Time to settle). When you are growing towards a peak, you need to work harder than ever and find yourself another peak. So there is no time to settle down.

4. Believe the fault is someone else’s: I constantly see people saying ; “Yes I had this great idea, but no inventor had the vision to invest” or “I created this great product, but the market is so bad and sales didn’t go well”. If you have dreams, it is your responsibility to make them happen. So if you didn’t make them happen, it’s your fault and no one else’s. Be responsible for your dreams.

5. Believe that the only things that matters are the dreams themselves: Life is never about the goals themselves, it is about the journey. People think since you have dreams and whenever you get to reaching one of those dreams, it’s a magical place where happiness will be all around. But achieving a dream is a momentary sensation and your life is not. The only way to really achieve all your dreams is to fully enjoy every steps of your journey.

Believe me, if you do all this, you will destroy your dreams.

This incident can be a very paintful one . However you have to accept it as part of life if you must get over it. Above all, always have it in mind that "what happens to you is not what determines your outcome in life, but how you respond to it."

Anytime the thought of suicide comes to you, always remind yourself that ONLY COWARDS KILL THEMSELVES. I can feel it within that this event is going to mark the beginning of greatness in your life. Some years from now, you will think of this event and thank your maker for bringing it your way. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF.
