Chimarto:Hemodialysis (or Dialysis for short) is one of the rescue procedures for people who are battling with kidney failure. When the kidneys fail, excess water and waste products accumulate in the body which are life threatening. Pending the time such a person can get a kidney transplant, they need to keep doing dialysis to stay alive. Averagely, such a person will do three sessions of dialysis every week. At 50k per session, that's 150k a week and 600k a month. It is usually severely draining on any family. This subsidy from the federal government is highly commendable. Reducing it to 12k per session means a person can have their three sessions per week for 48k...and 188k in a month instead of 600k. This will be a HUGE RELIEF for families that are concerned. |

This is solid write-up. Excellent ideas. Well done bro |
The death is Jnr Pope and others is really so sad. May his soul rest in peace and may the Lord comfort his family. From the accounts from different sources, it's apparent Pope didn't get the appropriate first aid response that could have helped to save his life. A doctor has taken it upon himself this Sunday to enlighten the public on Drowning as a medical emergency. https:///GPnBTP5DIA41yZ991Jr3nu

My sister, the first thing we need to note is that we don't go to church because of people. We go to church because of God. And that leads us to ask: Do you love God? If yes, then serving God is non-negotiable. Worst case, you can change your branch or change the church entirely. But for your own growth sake, going to church is very vital if you want to become all that God has prepared for you. In addition, not going to church means you're not really being fed by the Word of God. That's a dangerous position to be; because the devil can really take advantage of you. |
Hello You have good intentions, but please note the following: 1. To fully serve God, you need to be part of a fellowship of believers. God is raising a family and He has no desire in solo-worship. God loves community, so worshipping Him in the midst of fellow believers is a must. See Eph 2:19 2. You are doing well by preaching the gospel. But salvation is not enough. Jesus gave the commandment that we should go into all the world and 1) preach the gospel; 2) make disciples and teach them the ways of God. See Matt 28:19-20. In other words, even when you have successfully won a soul to Christ, you can't leave the person like that. It is important to teach the person the ways of Christ. Once you gather two or three people to teach them the way of Christ, you have a church already. Church isn't about buildings or large crowds. Church is simply a gathering of believers...regardless of the number. 3. As touching prosperity, I concur that there are preachers who overly concentrate on that but that does not remove the fact that God wants His people to flourish. Of a truth, the gospel is far more than financial gains; but when you consider the father of faith, Abraham, he wasn't poor, was he? And apparently it was God who made him wealthy. The fact that someone had a car accident doesn't mean we shouldn't ride cars. So the fact that some preachers have a misplaced priority on materialism does not mean God does not want to bless His people - financially and materially. 4. If you'd like to discuss more, you can reach me on worldofbab@yahoo.com....and we can connect on WhatsApp from there. |
Lord have mercy. This is getting out of hand. Kidnapping now takes place in people's homes. What's the Nigerian police doing proactively to combat this? How many people have to die or be kidnapped before the police steps up proactive surveillance? This is really sad |
jmoore:True talk. How can you ban something and implement the ban same day? You want to solve a problem and create another one. The companies producing them who have raw materials worth millions in their factories, what happens to that? You want them to suddenly collapse their business in one day? Small time, people will start talking about foreign investment. Does investment come from the air and not from companies who are producing goods and services? Secondly, the different distributors and wholesalers who have goods worth millions in stock already, what happens to them? They should burn their stock? We are not saying Styrofoam should not be banned. But before you place ban, have you engaged the producers to find out how they can diversify and produce something else so they don't go bankrupt? Those who have the goods already, what's your plan for them? Are you going to offtake their goods and pay them so Government takes responsibility for the loss? Until some of these issues are cleared just placing arbitrary ban on Styrofoam use without consideration for those who find their livelihood from that value chain, means we are simply being wicked. And we will be creating a new set of unemployment problems because we want to solve climate issue problem. |
1. It is really sad that a PhD holder earns less than N200k in this economy. How will he cope? 2. Economic hardship is forcing this diligent lecturer to start a side hustle. Of course, he has to if his family won't suffer. But what that means is that he won't be able to give his ultimate best as a lecturer because his attention will be divided. 3. He is apparently discouraged at the economic prospects of his career path too. Again I don't blame him. He's trying to create alternate source of income. 4. Back to the loan issue, the bank isn't going to give him a business loan. For all we care, it's a startup he's coming with. Otherwise, the bank will have requested for his business records. Which I don't think he has. 5. So the bank will extend to him a personal loan facility based on his salary. 6. Without being sentimental, the bank simply can't give him that amount; for his own sake and for the sake of the bank. Let's do the maths: 5 million at 24% interest = N1,200,000 Meaning he has to pay back N6.2 million over 3 years Assuming he's paying back equal amount (which will not be the case because banks collect back loans with reducing interest), but for the sake of discussion, let's assume he's paying back equal amounts: He will be paying back: N172,222 monthly. If you are a banker, will you give him that loan? Knowing fully well he has to spend on feeding, clothing, transportation etc. And no, the bank does not care about his Academy's success or otherwise. The loan will be given strictly on the feasibility of his repayment capacity based on salary. 7. If he's really interested in this business, my advice will be for him to take a loan of N500,000 or less. And even at that, it's likely he will pay back from his salary and not his business. From the way he talked, it's apparent he knows little about business. He wants to invest 5 million in public speaking in Nigeria. And that means he expects to make at least N8 million back. It's obvious he hasn't done any feasibility studies for that idea. I just wonder, who are his prospective clients? I'm grateful for his own sake that he was denied the loan. God forbid suicide. 8. On second thoughts, he probably wants to take the loan and JAPA. |
It is commendable that there's a swift action. But then, this could have been prevented in the first instance. Is there no Manager in the facility? Is there no schedule for routine inspection and maintenance? Why must we always use fire brigade approach to every issue?🙄🙄 |
Excellent job. Please keep it up. We need more people like you in Nigeria who can proffer engineering solutions to local problems. You are doing well |
Lol |
Can you imagine? And Emefiele was making mouth that CBN has capacity to print enough new notes. See where we are. Just subjecting the whole country to untold hardship due to wicked personal interests. |
LegallyBlunt:It's faith o. Outside faith, there's nothing to really hold on to in this nation. |
Simeonjoe1:Hmmmmmmmm......I think I concur with you. OBJ is the best President we have had in recent times. Though I think the incubent now means well. Buhari is a President I wish we never had even though I supported him. I hope and pray Tinubu gets it right. And if things could turn around for us as a nation during OBJ's time despite years of military rule, I believe all we need is a leader who knows what He's doing backed by God. |
Meerahbel:yeah.....so.much has changed in just about 30 years.....our values have really changed as a people. you will hardly allow your children mix with people in the neighborhood these days. Back then, if i wasnt home by nightfall, my mum knew at least 4 places in the neighborhood i could be |
Honestly this is truly nostalgic. Your dressing isn't complete without Green 'goggles' or pink ones.😀 And the banger wars....throwing knockouts inside neighbours compound and expecting a reaction. Truly it seems the climate has changed. By this time, you could literally feel Christmas and New year in the air. |
ErnestNc:Brilliant deposition👍👍👍 |
Kindly recheck this. It's not true |
SisterFire:My sister, why do you wish him death? And why are you so angry? You do not have to live under so much burden and guilt. You can be free Please let's talk if you need counseling |
My brother....I congratulate you....you're a Winner! You may be wondering why.... 1. You're a winner because you quit trading drugs. This means that you have value for dignity, honor and right living. 2. You're a winner because you have identified your immediate problems...suicidal thoughts...need for progress etc. Many people do not even know they have problems. 3. You're a winner because you're willing to seek for help. Again when many people have problems, they are not willing to seek for help. They die in their frustration. Deceptions to Note 1. Please don't get carried away with what you see on social media. People are not as happy or successful as what they post on social media. 2. Everyone has problems. Just like you said, when a lot of people look at you, they assume all is well. The same way ...many people you're looking at and assuming all is well with them may not necessarily be doing that well. 3. It is not wise to compare ourselves with others. The grass always appear greener on the other side until you cross over and see that there is a lot of work to be done to keep it green. 4. Many people who are truly happy and/or successful are not doing it by themselves...they often have contact with higher spirits. Way Forward 1. Realize that it is not too late for things to turn around for you. Henry Ford didn't become a global success until after age 40 years. Yes I agree that at Age 30, there should be things one can point at as accomplishments. But you know the irony of life, we are not all running the same race. And the fact that you became successful before me does not mean you will be more successful than me. You still have a long time ahead of you ...and as long there's breath in you, you can still attract and achieve outstanding feats in life. If you're a fan of football, you will understand that the fact that Team A has scored 3 goals in first half does not mean they have won. Team B can still very much win the match. 2. You do need Help. And help is available. Seeking medical help is one option and will go a long way...but the lasting solution to getting out of a depressed and frustrating life is to come over to Jesus. You will be amazed what He can do with your life in a short while. Today, I'm a doctor. But when I was in 200L in school, life became so hard and frustrating. In fact, I thought many times about just ending my own life during that period. Everything seemed so dark and hopeless. I was afraid too. But today, things are much different and better. So I'm very sure Jesus has got amazing plans for your life. There are possibilities he's going to show you on how to turn your life around. The same life you seem to hate now, you will be so proud of your life and achievements in no time. 3. Please understand that it is the Devil that wants to abort your destiny. With your writeup above, you're obviously very intelligent and gifted; but the devil wants to kill your potentials. 4. You need to discover yourself, discover your purpose and discover how to make a difference with your life on earth...The book PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE by Rick Warren will help you. I pray for you today, that every covering of darkness and deception of the enemy around you is taken off in Jesus' name. You're coming out of this stronger, better and healthier. You will not die, but live to declare the wonders of God. You will be a light in your family and to your generation. Please let's talk 08169464676/ WhatsApp08159581127 |
This so called Act is likely going to be riddled with fraud. We don't necessarily have to keep giving people free things...let's work on policies that can empower people to pay for insurance. Why are we celebrating 83 million poor people? This is M**NESS❗ Let's rather focus on how to empower the so called poor NIGERIANS so that they can afford health insurance. |

I heard APC is considering bringing Jonathan back...I guess it's just rumours. Because if it is true that APC even considered that option, the proponents must be suffering from DEMENTIA❗(Dementia is a group of conditions characterised by impairment of at least two brain functions, such as memory loss and judgement.) The very reason Buhari occupies Aso Rock is because APC outrightly proclaimed and condemned the ineptitude and cluelessness of Jonathan's government.
