The QPR defender released a statement today on the club's official website.

He said: 'My soul mate slipped away last night. Rebecca, my wonderful wife, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.She was a fantastic loving mother to our three beautiful children.

He continued with the message,

'She will be missed as a wife, sister, aunt, daughter and granddaughter. She will live on in our memory, as a guide and inspiration.

'Myself, my parents Janice and Julian, along with Rebecca's parents Lesley and Stephen, would like to thank our families, friends and my club colleagues who have rallied around in these desperate days, weeks and months.

'I would also like to express my gratitude for the dedication and expertise of the staff led by Professors Johnstone and Clarke at the Royal Marsden. Their valiant efforts to prolong Rebecca's all-too-short life will not be forgotten.

'Our grief, as a family, is total. We would appreciate being allowed to mourn privately.'

Chad’s President Idriss Déby has been one of the silent leaders who have been fighting the insurgent group Boko Haram in Nigeria, he has really been of immense help since the Islamic group had been terrorizing men and women making them refugees in another mans land.

But he has something to share with us in a recent interview with international media, he really wants to hand over territories belonging to Nigeria and leave .

Mr. Déby showed no hint of triumphalism. Instead, he was frustrated, impatient: His men were stuck, still awaiting any sign of Nigerian forces who could come take over. He does not want to be holding Nigerian territory, he said. He wants to be on the move.

“We want the Nigerians to come and occupy, so we can advance,” Mr. Déby complained in an interview at his palace last week. “We’re wasting time, for the benefit of Boko Haram,” he added. “We can’t go any further in Nigeria. We’re not an army of occupation.”

The president says he took up the war against Boko Haram reluctantly, and mostly as a bid for economic survival; Chad is a landlocked country, dependent on land trade routes through the militant group’s territory.

In the process, he has embarrassed Nigeria — a small-country president cleaning up a far bigger and richer one’s mess — and he has overshadowed the militaries of neighboring Cameroon and Niger that are less well equipped, while earning the gratitude of Western leaders.

Those leaders once shunned him for his shaky human rights record, low corruption ranking, nepotism, and brutal police force. In fact, those conditions have not changed. His country ranks fourth from the bottom on the United Nations Human Development Index of 187 nations, with rock-bottom life expectancy and schooling levels. The Chadian elite connected to him enjoy gargantuan villas, looming above the battered one-story dwellings of ordinary people. Last week, clandestinely recorded video images showed his police officers whipping half-naked student demonstrators. And his military forces were accused of serious human rights violations during their intervention in the Central African Republic last year.

Yet Mr. Déby, 62, is a pariah no more. Now the French foreign minister smiles at him in photographs. Although he insists he is not “Africa’s policeman,” the West is only too happy to call on his forces in a region seething with Islamist terrorists.

While his tough, turbaned soldiers occupy towns in Nigeria recently ruled by Boko Haram, his up-to-date helicopter gunships are bombing the bloodthirsty sect in other places. Already, at least three important towns in Nigeria’s northeast — Damasak, Dikwa and Gamboru — have been taken by the Chadians. And his troops, after driving thousands of miles into the desert, are still in northern Mali taking on Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

Now, with Boko Haram on the ropes, temporarily at least, and in no small part thanks to his men, Mr. Déby might seem positioned for a triumphalist victory lap. But those who know him well say this is not how he operates.

“Déby does things coldly. He doesn’t do things out of sentiment. That’s his strength,” said Saleh Makki, a veteran opposition member of Parliament who spent 147 days in Mr. Déby’s jails in 2013 after being accused — falsely, he said — of fomenting a coup plot.

Indeed, the army’s relative strength is itself a function of Mr. Déby’s calculated insecurity. Rebels have made it to the capital twice in the past 10 years, burning ministry buildings, shooting and looting in the streets. The last time, in 2008, Mr. Deby found himself holding out nearly alone in the palace, refusing to evacuate. He took power by force himself at the head of a rebel movement in 1990 and has not budged since.

ISIS had demanded $200 million from the Japanese government in exchange for the two men, but Jogo said it now wants the release by Jordan of female would-be suicide bomber Sajida al-Rishawi. Remember Alfred Ajani, the young Nigerian who graduated from Conventry University with a 2.1, in a railway station handing out his CV has returned to the same spot to recruit workers to his new company.

He was so sick of applying for jobs he decided to stand out at Waterloo station in London to come face-to-face with city high-flyers

Good thing was he was snapped up by a recruitment firm, and now he's now returned to the same place where he once stood to advertise positions on his team.

He added: 'I didn't want to be back looking for a job again, or standing in the station for a second time, so I'm really pleased with how it has gone.

'The company is expanding and we're looking to take people on to the desk where I'm working so we are now searching for graduates, people in the same position I was last year. We've got around 20 vacancies.

'It feels good to be putting something back and I'm hoping to take the brand to universities over the next year.

'The latest picture has had a good response and I've already been sent some CVs through social media.'

Alfred started work at the Asoria Group in September after a boss at the company saw his Waterloo stunt.

In recognition of his social media fame, colleagues at the firm wore T-shirts with his picture on them to welcome him on his first day. He has since been made the subject of a short film by youth channel Million Youth Media.

Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz is dead, he died aged 90 years, after a running battle with Pneumonia.

His death was announced in a statement broadcast on Saudi state TV.
“His Highness Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and all members of the family and the nation mourn the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who passed away at exactly 1am this morning (Friday – Saudi time),” the statement said.
Abdullah became king in 2005 after the death of his half-brother King Fahd. The late king’s brother, Salman, 79, has been announced as the new ruler of the kingdom.

One of his last decisions is thought to have been referring the case of Raif Badawi, the Saudi blogger who has been sentenced to 1,000 lashes, to the High Court last week.

He was seen as a powerful influence in the Middle east and also a great friend to the United States, solidifying diplomatic relations between the two countries

Abdullah – who fathered 22 children with about a dozen wives – had ruled Saudi Arabia as king since 2005, but had run the country as de facto regent for a decade before that after his predecessor King Fahd suffered a debilitating stroke.

King Salman, thought to be 79, has been crown prince and defence minister since 2012. He was governor of Riyadh province for five decades before that.

By immediately appointing Muqrin as his heir, subject to the approval of a family Allegiance Council, Salman has moved to avert widespread speculation about the immediate path of the royal succession in the world’s top oil exporter.

Dare them you might say but the Chinese are waxing strong buying equities in global sports brand, today Chinese Billionaire Wang Jianlin, chairman of Wanda Group, paid £34million in the deal about 20% equity which gives the company a seat on the club’s board of directors.

Wanda is one of China’s largest, most influential property and entertainment companies with a growing footprint in Europe including significant investment in the UK.

The deal marks the first time a Chinese company has invested in a top tier European football club.

Atletico Madrid’s CEO Gil Marin and president Enrique Cerezo travelled to Beijing to sign the contract with Wanda’s Cultural Industry group director general Zhang Ming.

At the signing ceremony at a hotel in one Wanda’s massive shopping plazas, Wang described the deal as a ‘golden opportunity’.

Meet Chuka Umunna, born of a Nigerian father and British Mother, Muna is the current Labour Parties, shadow business secretary, in a live television program today he was asked about a letter sent by the Government to Muslim leaders in Britain. Unfortunately Chuka admitted he had not read the letter and said he would not go “off-piste” and discuss its content when asked if he believed the Government was “patronising” Muslims.

Mr Umunna, who was not in the same studio as his interviewer, said it was not “terribly fair” to ask him about the letter because he had been asked to come on the programme to discuss David Cameron’s latest speech on the economy.

After Mr Murnaghan accused him of refusing to speak “until you get the party line right”, Mr Umunna stood up and walked out of the studio.

Fitness instructor Greg Plitt -- who appeared on the Bravo show "Work Out" -- died Saturday after he was struck by a train.

The 37 year-old was hit by a Metrolink train in Burbank California.

Greg was a former Calvin Klein model who became a well known fitness instructor. He recently starred in the Bravo show ‘Work Out ‘and had an appearance on the upcoming reality series “Friends to Lovers”. “Greg was struck by the train just after 4:00 p.m. on Front Street, the Los Angeles” County Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau said. according “He was with friends who may have been taking videos at the timeof the accident”

“He had on all black. The train went by. I saw him stumble over the tracks. He had a camcorder in his hand,” a Metrolink passenger told KABC. The tragic accident is currently under investigation. Aside Calvin Klein, Greg had modeled for Under Armour, Old Navy Jeans, Modell’s and more. He appeared on countless magazine covers, including Maxim, American Health & Fitness, Flaunt, Men’s Fitness, Muscle & Fitness and Men’s Health.

Greg featured in 2013’s Grudge Match, alongside Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro. His muscular physique was used in CGI to help create Dr. Manhattan’s body in the 2009 film “Watchmen”. Greg had starred in TV commercials for Old Spice Body Wash, ESPN, Under Armour, MTV, Gold’s Gym and Bowflex.

The late actor was a certified personal trainer. He trained his clients out of Los Angeles.

Today and with shock, Jim Clancy is no longer with CNN, why?what happened ? Well according to reports he engaged in a heated Twitter debate over the terror attacks on Charlie Hebdo.

He announced he is leaving the network after more than 30 years at the network. In a short note to his CNN colleagues, Clancy did not give a reason for his departure.
