PoliticsRe: Fani-kayode Lists Three Biggest Mistakes Buhari Has Made by emilas1979(m): 1:12am On Jul 28, 2019

OrizuBlog:
A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has listed three mistakes made by President Muhammadu Buhari since he assumed office in 2015.

WiNi.NG reports that the former minister, who is also a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, made this known on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

According to Fani-Kayode, the President made a mistake by banning the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and “persecuting” its members.

The PDP chieftain also noted that President Buhari made a mistake by proscribing the Islamic Movement Organisation (IMN) better known as Shiites.

Fani-Kayode, who is a strong critic of President Buhari, stressed that the President will regret all the mistakes he (Fani-Kayode) listed.

The former minister tweeted: “The 3 biggest mistakes @MBuhari
has made are:

“1. To proscribe IPOB and persecute its members.

“2. To proscribe IMN and persecute its members.

“3. To encourage the mass murder of Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen and refuse to declare them as terrorists.

“He will regret ALL three!”

had reported earlier that the Federal Government obtained a court order to proscribe the Shiites as a terrorist group, just like it did with Nnamdi Kanu’s led IPOB.

The ex parte application marked FHC/ABJ/CS/876/2019 was filed in the name of the “Attorney-General of the Federation” before the court on Thursday, July 25.

This online news platform understands that the court restrained “any person or group of persons” from participating in any form of activities involving or concerning the IMN “under any name or platform” in Nigeria.

How 2 Kwara Assembly Members removed Tenant’s tooth with beating for being “Illegal Occupant”
BY BRIDGET EDOKWE · PUBLISHED JULY 27, 2019 · UPDATED JULY 27, 2019

Two members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Mr Ganiyu Abolarin and Mr Owolabi Razak have been accused of acts amounting to Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Trespass, Criminal force and Assault, False Imprisonment, Threat to life, and abuse of office by Mr Ogundokun Saheed, a tenant to Honourable Ganiyu Abolarin.

An eye witness who spoke to BarristerNG on condition of anonymity said the two members representing Isapa/Ekiti and Share/Okeodo constituencies respectively attacked Mr Ogundokun at night at his rented apartment, Sir Abbey road, Awolowo Street, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State on the 17th July, 2019.

Mr Ogundokun’s nightmare started at about 10pm when someone knocked at the gate of the house and he came out to see who it was. The stranger introduced himself to Mr Ogundokun as a Police officer from A’ Division, Ilorin and informed him that his attention is needed at their station in connection with a complaint lodged against him. Because it was already late, the said officer agreed with Ogundokun to be present at the station by 10am, the next day.

An hour later, there was another knock at the gate, but Mr Ogundokun refused to open the gate for security reasons. However the Men forced their way into the compound, broke the window and removed the burglary. Fortunately, Mr Ogundokun identified Ganiyu Abolarin, his landlord in the middle of the charade.

Our source stated that altercation ensued thereafter between the two of them over the former’s failure to pay rent. While this was going on, Owolabi Razaq, who was there with his colleague, came from the back and grievously assaulted Mr Ogundogun. Ganiyu also joined Owolabi in assaulting the tenant. They were accompanied with their political thugs who also joined in this act. They were about 8 all together with two police Men suspected to be their police orderly.

Mr Ogundokun’s 3 friends who live in his apartment with him were not spared. They were also assaulted and seriously beaten too by these men led by both Hon Ganiyu and Owolabi.

After the assault, they threw Mr Ogundokun out from the window and took him and his friends to F’ Division where they were arrested and detained on allegation that they were illegal occupants.

Mr Ogundokun, as a result of the grievous assault, lost consciousness, sustained serious injury and one of his teeth removed. He was rushed to Anchor Hospital, Tanke Ilorin by Police Men.

He regained consciousness and was later brought back to detention in the midnight by the police Men of F’ Division. They were later released the following day.

BarristerNG gathered that following the grievous injury sustained by Mr Ogundokun as a result of the assault against him, Mr Ogundokun collapsed again and was rushed to another hospital by his friends and he was admitted for further medical treatment. Mr Ogundokun, as at the time of this report is said to be going through excruciating pain.

BarristerNG reliably gathered that Mr Ogundokun’s Lawyer, YY Ajibade has petitioned the Speaker, Hon Umar Danladi of Kwara State House of Assembly to investigate the case and bring these two members to book.

Below is a copy of the petition sent to the speaker, kwara State House of Assembly and made available to BarristerNG.

21/7/19

The Honourable Speaker,

Kwara State House of Assembly,

Ilorin, Kwara State.

Dear Sir,

PETITION AGAINST HONOURABLE GANIYU ABOLARIN AND OWOLABI RAZAK MEMBERS REPRESENTING ISAPA/EKITI AND SHARE/OKEODO CONSITUENCES RESPECTIVELY FOR CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, CRIMINAL TRESPASS, CRIMINAL FORCE AND ASSAULT, FALSE IMPRISONMENT, THREAT TO LIFE AND ABUSE OF OFFICE AGAINST OGUNDOKUN SAHEED, KAREEM QUADRI, RAZAK OSENI AND AJAYI MICHEAL

We are the solicitors to Mr Ogundokun Saheed of Sir Abbey Street, Awolowo Area, Tanke, Ilorin subsequently refers to as our client and on whose behalf and instruction we present this petition against Honourable Ganiyu Abolarin and Owolabi Razak members representing Isapa/Ekiti and Share/Okeodo constituencies respectively for acts amounting to Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Trespass, Criminal force and Assault, False Imprisonment, Threat to life, and abuse of office against our client.
Our client was attacked and brutalized by the aforementioned members of the Kwara State House of Assembly. These members are under your leadership, it informs the reason of presenting this petition to you first.
Our client informed us and verily believed him to be true that he is a lawful tenant of a two bedroom flat situate at Sir Abbey Street, Awolowo Area, Tanke, Ilorin, Property of Honourable Ganiyu Abolarin subsequently refers to as Landlord.
Our client informed us that on 17th day of July 2019 he received news that his wife paternal grandmother died at the early hour of the day and decided to travel down to Ilorin together with his colleagues at work for funeral ceremony same day. He had already schedule that by 7 am of the next day they would be travelling back to Lagos.
Our client informed us that at about 10 pm on the night of 17th July 2019, he was together with his colleagues in his apartment at Sir Abbey Street, Awolowo area of Tanke when a neighbour came knocking that someone is at the gate looking for him. But since he was not expecting anybody he asked his other colleagues whether they were expecting any visitor they all answered in negative, then they all went out together for security reason to see who was at the gate.
Our client informed us further that the man at the gate said he is a policeman sent by landlord that his attention is needed at A Division Police Station Ilorin. The police man was asked of his Identity card but could not produce any but for benefit of doubt our client told him it was already late at night. They exchange contacts and both agreed to 10 am the next day and the man left.
Our client further informed us that after about an hour when the man at the gate had left they heard a loud bang on our gate and that they decided to ignore as it was already past 11 at night. Within a twinkle of eyes we heard their voices inside the compound shouting open your gate. The way the house was structured is that every apartment has burglary proof both in front and at the back.
Our client informed us, further that to his dismay, suddenly, he saw flash of torch light on his face in his bedroom, to his consternation they have already pull down a window together with the burglary and scaled through the house via the window. The next moment they started bashing him with his other colleagues. In the face of overwhelming and disabling terror he said they lost spirit to fight back because everything happened with the speed of light and they were about nine to ten men.
Our client further informed us that the first person that started bashing him was later identified to be Honourable Razaq Owolabi. After they had received serious bashing inside the apartment, he was thrown out of the house through the broken window like common criminal or animal by the so called Honourable Razaq Owolabi and in the process he sustained severs bodily injury.
Our client informed us that while on ground outside the house, he identified landlord vividly and said to him that so you are the masquerade behind the mask. Our client said despite the fact that he sustained obvious bodily injury and evidence of manifest excruciating pain written all over him the landlord was not perturb rather he ordered the two uniform police men to arrest us.
Our client further informed us that they were taken to F. Division police Station Tanke, wherein the landlord levied against them offence of illegal Occupant and craved for them to be locked up. He called our client many unprintable names and at the same time threatened fire and brainstorm. He said he was ready to deal with him to his last kobo and that he would demonstrate to him how influential he is.
Our client informed us that he did not know when he was taking to hospital. He later found out later that he was rushed to the hospital in the midnight when he lost consciousness. By the time he woke at the Hospital he saw two police men who led him back to the cell where they locked his other colleagues.
Our client further informed us that at about 5:15 pm of 18th July 2019 the Landlord and his friends Honourable Razaq Owolabi came back to police Station since midnight they locked them up. Y.Y. Ajibade Esq. of Exact Legal Associates was there at the Station around that time. We had a meeting with them in D.P.O’s office. At the meeting it was established that the matter is that of Tenant, Landlord and Agent. D.P.O adjourned the meeting to the next day which was 19th July 2019 and demands the presence of the agent of the house to shed more light to the case.
At the meeting the next day which was 19th July 2019. The landlord did not deny agent as the man in charge of his property since 2014 to 2018 and it was equally not in dispute that agent was the one who gave that apartment out to our client. The issues in dispute are payment of rent of 2019 which was due since November 2018 and refund of money used by our client to process the prepaid meters.
Having listened to the whole story D.P.O in his wisdom said to the landlord that as a public figure that he should not have taken laws into his hands. Burgling our client apartment in the middle of the night and bashing him together with his colleagues were actions not befitting of his political status. D.P.O gave him hint that he should apologize to our client but Honourable Ganiyu Abolarin and Honourable Razaq Owolabi were dismissive.
This action should not be allowed to slide or swept under carpet. They must be investigated for this inhuman behavior. Behavior not worthy of persons of their caliber, it is barbaric for a whole house of Assembly members to think the way to eject a lawful tenant is by bashing them in the middle of the night with the help of hoodlums. It should be said in clear terms that breaking a burglary and scaling through the window to gain access to an apartment late in the night to eject lawful tenant is distasteful and animalistic.
We urge you sir, to use your good office to investigate this matter thoroughly as we are contemplating legal action against them and we therefore, demand public apology and a huge compensation for Trespass, Assault, Battery and False imprisonment.
We are hopeful a prompt action would be taken. Thank you sir.

Y. AJIBADE ESQ.

PoliticsRe: Plateau Guber: Lalong's witnesses testify that Useni, PDP won own polling units by emilas1979(m): 12:58am On Jul 28, 2019

Elchicolo:
Witnesses of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State have testified before the governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Jos that the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Jeremiah Useni won the governorship election in their polling unites with a wide margin.

Testifying before the tribunal, Dung Isaiah Bitrus of Ratsak Zabot ward of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area during cross examination by counsel to Useni, Benso Igbanoi, said the PDP won the governorship election in his polling unit.

“PDP won the governorship election in my polling unit and I signed the result sheet and was given a duplicate copy which I handed over to my ward collation agent.”

Also, Lam Joseph Choji of Heipang in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area told the tribunal that in the result sheet that he signed, PDP won the election in his Kabong 1 ward with 550 votes against APC with 99 votes

Ringpwom Byetfa of Shishiri ward in Langtang North Local Government Area informed the tribunal that in his Kumbwan 1 polling unit, PDP scored 360 votes as against APC’s 68 votes.

However, during cross-examination by Useni’s counsel, Benson Igbanoi on the alleged certificate forgery of Governor Lalong, Lalong’s star witness, Hon Luka Fwanyil and former Attorney General of Plateau State, said Lalong contested the election with a name Simon Bako Lalong and not Simon Sule Lalong as being contested.

He noted that he was the returning officer for both APC and Simon Lalong in the governorship election and said the poll was peaceful, free, fair and credible.

“The election was free and fair; I did not receive any report of electoral malpractice from any of the collation centres across the state.”

When he was referred to the personal documents that Governor Lalong had filled and submitted to INEC under oath, Barr Fwangyil said he had known the then APC candidate for 30 years and for the elections into the state House of Assembly in 1999 and 2003 as well as into the office of governor, in 2015 and 2019; it was the same name “Simon Bako Lalong” that was used in his documentation.

Chairman of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, Hon. Justice H.A. Saleeman, expressed disappointment over the failure of the 2nd respondent, Simon Bako Lalong, and his legal team to produce their witnesses as directed by the tribunal.

She said only four witnesses showed up for Lalong when seating resumed on Friday 26th July after the tribunal had reluctantly adjourned two times on Thursday at the instance of the respondents.

The defense counsel and Lalong’s lawyers, Pius Akubo, SAN, apologised and blamed the situation on distance, the Plateau rough terrain and the fact that that it was the period is the height of the farming season when many witnesses would be very busy on their farms.

PoliticsRe: APC Dismisses Sagay’s Corruption Claims Against Akpabio - Premium Times by emilas1979(m): 12:55am On Jul 28, 2019
Not surprise
Gracealone:
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed corruption claims reportedly made against a former minority leader of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, by Itse Sagay, an anti-corruption adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr Akpabio, one of Mr Buhari’s nominees for ministerial slots, passed through Senate screening, Wednesday.

Mr Sagay, a constitutional lawyer and professor, is reported to have expressed reservation about Mr Akpabio’s nomination.

“The only nominee I am not satisfied with is Godswill Akpabio. I don’t know how he got into the list. That is the only one I have a reservation about,” the Daily Post quoted Mr Sagay to have said.

“You know when we have a programme in which anti-corruption is number one, if anybody is under investigation or not, I don’t think it is wise to include him in that list. But the president knows why he did that. Apart from that, I am quite happy with the list,” Mr Sagay, who is the chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, reportedly said.

Rising in defence
But the APC on Thursday said the former Akwa Ibom governor “does not have any case with the EFCC or any other anti-graft agency” in Nigeria.

The party said it was surprised by the statement credited to Mr Sagay.

“It is true that a petition was filed against the Senator at the EFCC by an Abuja-based lawyer soon after Senator Akpabio left office as our state Governor in 20I5.

“These cases were thoroughly investigated by the agency. The petitioner then withdrew the petition when he could not substantiate his allegations and the EFCC could not establish the veracity of the allegations in the petition.

“In that case, we note that Prof. Sagay was patently wrong in his assertion about the nomination of Senator Akpabio,” the APC said in a statement from its spokesperson in the state, Nkereuwem Enyongekere.

The party congratulated Mr Akpabio and thanked the president for the nomination.

The EFCC in 2015 quizzed Mr Akpabio, for at least two days, over multi-billion naira fraud allegation against him.

Mr Akpabio was alleged to have committed the fraud when he was the governor of Akwa Ibom.

Leo Ekpenyong, the Abuja-based lawyer, whose petition prompted the EFCC’s investigation against Mr Akpabio, declined comment on the matter when PREMIUM TIMES contacted him, Friday evening.

Mr Akpabio in August 2018 resigned his position as Senate minority leader and defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling APC.

He, however, failed to win re-election to the Senate in the last general election and is challenging the election result at the election petition tribunal.

*Reps admit ‘mistake’ in resolutions on Edo Assembly crisis*

*Published July 27, 2019*

*_Leke Baiyewu, Abuja_*

The House of Representatives has confirmed an omission in its resolutions on the crisis rocking the Edo State House of Assembly.

The House said it would now wait for the outcome of the investigation of the crisis by the Senate.

A member of the House Ad Hoc Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Mr Yusuf Gadgi, who briefed journalists in Abuja on Friday, noted that the House did not include a resolution to transmit the decisions to the Senate for concurrence as it did in the case of the Bauchi State House of Assembly.

PUNCH had reported last Sunday that the House and the Senate were in a rivalry over the crisis rocking the Edo Assembly.

The House penultimate Wednesday adopted the report by its ad hoc committee set up to probe into the crisis.

The committee had visited Benin, the state capital, on a fact-finding mission, the same day that panel set up by the Senate visited the state for the same purpose.

When Gadgi was asked if the House would take over the running of the Edo Assembly one week after it made resolutions on the matter, he said, “The House of Representatives is not God. We made mistakes.”

He added, “I am saying that our decision for approving the recommendations by the committee of which I was a member – the committee that investigated the Edo State Assembly crisis; we gave one week upon which the governor should act, failure of which we would invoke Section 11(4) of the Constitution that donates power to the House of Representatives to do the needful whenever there is crisis.

“But be that as it may, if you look at the report on Bauchi (Assembly) investigation, there was one item that was added to that of Bauchi (panel’s report); that the House should transmit its recommendations to the Senate.”

In a situation where there are two committees put in place by the House and the Senate, I think the positions need to be put together by the two organs of the National Assembly before any other thing.

“That was why Bauchi (panel) gave one month and Mr Speaker equally ruled that they should be treated the same way. The report of Edo (panel) too should be harmonised with that of the Senate, after which we will wait and see if the position of the Senate concurs with that of the House.

“And within the period, from the day the Senate takes position on these two states, and the governors refuse to act in that direction, definitely we are going to employ the service of Section 11(4) of the Constitution.”

The recommendations by the panel on Edo, which were approved by the House, were, “That the Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, in the interest of peaceful coexistence of the state, should issue a fresh proclamation within one week in line with Section 105(3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), stating the date, time and venue (of the inauguration), and publish in any national daily and television station.

“That all actions taken by the 7th Assembly members should be declared null and void pending proper inauguration.

“That all members of the Edo State House of Assembly, both those who have been inaugurated and those who have not been inaugurated, should dissolve their factions in the interest of peace and stability of the House, with the view to moving the state forward.

“That the Inspector-General of Police  and the Director-General , Department of State Services, should shut down the Edo State House of Assembly and provide adequate security to allay further fears of intimidation and threat as alleged by members-elect.

“Where recommendations 1, 2 and 3 above fail, the National Assembly should invoke the provisions of Section 11 (4) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) to take over the state House of Assembly until the situation normalises.”
PoliticsRe: Buhari Lacks Powers To Order Zakzaky’s Release – Presidency by emilas1979(m): 6:02am On Jul 27, 2019
Tell that to the DOGS

Antoeni:
The Presidency yesterday reiterated that President Muhammadu Buhari will not order the judiciary to release the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, because he lacks the powers to do so. This is just as it declined comment on whether the government was considering proscription of the sect as done to the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) in 2017.

Members of the IMN (Shiites) have been staging protests across the country following the continued detention of El-Zakzaky who was arrested with his wife in December 2015 after a violent clash with the Nigerian Army in Zaria, Kaduna State.

Contacted on the latest decision on the group, presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, said the federal government’s position on the matter hasn’t changed. “There is no latest that I know of. Government’s position hasn’t changed. El-Zakzaky is in the custody of the Kaduna State government. They are trying him in court for several alleged offenses. The Federal Ministry of Justice is not in this, President Buhari has no hand it. “The constitution of Nigeria does not give the president power to stop investigations and trials, he can pardon upon conviction. On the El-Zakzaky issue, this whole thing is in the domain of Kaduna State. If only they know,” he said. Previously, the presidency had said the group was wrong to be in court and resort to violence at the same time in order to get justice for an accused.

Bᴀɴᴅɪᴛʀʏ ᴀɴᴅ Bᴏᴋᴏ ʜᴀʀᴀᴍ : Tʜᴇ Nᴏʀᴛʜ sʟᴇᴘᴛ ғᴏʀ ᴛᴏᴏ ʟᴏɴɢ!

"The north must wake up now. It must not murder sleep.

The north saw nothing coming. Population was deemed strength. But it should have watched when others slowed down in breeding. It bred too many children and didn’t do much to care for them. They roamed the streets. Yet, it bred more. They forsook schools. And took to begging . Yet, it bred more. Those children, many of them, have gone feral. Now,the north cannot sleep. The north slept for too long.

Northern politicians lived in bubbles, in distant cities. Some governors literally ruled by ‘Wifi’. When they bothered to return to their state capitals, unemployed youths lined the streets to cheer them. In their narcissism , they said it was popularity. The naive jobless youths in their ignorance, considered them their own share of national big men.

So the northern politicians were safe and happy. They lived like lords, harvesting political rents. Their political estate was the large benighted population of the north whose votes made them national heroes. All they bothered about was winning elections and cornering privileges for their family and their friends.

The north is waking up. But it’s waking in fits and starts.

While it was asleep, corrupt politicians treated education as western adulteration of cherished conservative culture. The north lacked schools and teachers, and lacked hospitals and doctors and nurses. But their leaders couldn’t be bothered. The welfare of the poor was an abstract concept mouthed in campaign speeches.

Young doctors went for national youth service in the north and came back with tales of horror. Children and women died needlessly. Labour got obstructed and prolonged and the nearest hospital with a doctor was hundreds of kilometers away. Youth corps doctors were forced to do caesarean sections. We screamed when we shared the stories amongst ourselves those days.

The governors preferred playing emotional religious politics to building productive human capacity. So while some other parts of the country focused on education, some governors made sharia a project and built a large population of illiterate Almajiris.

And I think the north was pushed into deeper somnolence by tranquilizers like quota system and federal character. You can disagree with me. But I know competition would have awakened the north much earlier.

The north is rising. But it is still groggy.

The traditional institutions and the politicians underestimated the long term consequences of their fixation on electoral contests. Political power brought roads and more local government areas. The Federal Government built a refinery and sited federal institutions in some northern cities. But there was almost no attempt to educate the poor. Children roamed. Schools weren’t properly staffed. The three tiers of government left the smaller towns and rural areas in abject poverty and utter hopelessness. The private sector was absent. There was literally no man power for anything meaningful.

The politicians and retired soldiers cornered positions and oil wells. They rode in their big cars and flew in jets. They built big houses and sent their children to foreign lands for education. They let the ignorant poor to worship them and let them flourish in their ignorance. It all seemed peaceful at least. The rich in Kaduna , Kano and Abuja, played their polo. The poor children in Gamboru couldn’t get vaccines. They had to rely on Bill Gates and foreign charity to get, when they got. Poverty and disease and desertification battered and bruised them. The poor , illiterate and hopeless, in the slums of the big towns, in small towns and in the bushes in the hamlets found solace in religion. Radical preachers sneaked in and taught them comforting extremism.

The chickens are coming home to roost.

Banditry has taken over the parts of the north not ravaged by Boko Haram. Zamfara had once toyed with religious extremism. That former center of religious activism is now the devil’s workshop. Evil became so rife the former governor was ready to negotiate with demons who massacred and burnt whole villages. Children who didn’t go to school, who spent their entire lives in the wild, dragging cattle from Timbuktu to Calabar, had become possessed. They have forsaken religion and embraced the devil. And Zamfara is now thinking a mass literacy programme.

Kaduna, the center of the north has not been spared. Ethnic fault lines have been sharpened by frustration and hopelessness. Politicians had driven wedges between the poor to feather their political nests. Millions of unemployed youths are now finding guns and finding devilish impatience. Violence has mushroomed. And Kaduna is fast acquiring the character of Lebanon.

Our law enforcement agents are working hard. But they are overwhelmed. Law enforcement was designed to check and correct an exceptional few. And not to contain an epidemic of madness. From Benue to Taraba, from Katsina to Zamfara, it’s been violence after violence.

The north is waking up. I believe. But it has to find mental clarity, quickly. The north must institute a comprehensive population control measure. The north has to lock the tap. Mops wont do. The north lacks the resources to care for the children that it is currently producing on an industrial scale. It can’t abolish child malnutrition , Almajiri culture, high infant and maternal mortality until it puts a leash on its birthrate. Until the north checks its population growth rate it cannot check the wild fire of poverty that is ravaging its communities.

The north must wake up now.

Boko haram and rampant banditry have stabbed the north into wakefulness. But the north is waking up only in bits. The north is still sleepwalking.

The north left the tap running for too long. It is now flooded with problems that teeming illiteracy and joblessness create. The north must turn off the running tap first. The north must institute immediate population control. Yes, it will have to curb Almajiri by democratizing education. But it must shut the tap first. Without an effective and immediate population control policy , the north and the country is doomed.

It’s unfortunate it had to get to this. It’s unfortunate it had to take banditry for the north to think mass literacy and abolition of almajiri culture. Yobe has no existing factory. A bulk of the population of the Northeast lives in IDP camps. The future looks bleak . And there is no sense of urgency yet.

Northern billionaires must think industrialization of the north. It must be intentional. The potentials abound. There is a strong youthful population. They can’t wait for Bill Gates and Jimmy Carter.

The north must wake up now. It must not murder sleep again.

It gets to my notice and the notification of all progressive minded stalwarts and bigwigs of APC that, some set of people are making some unhealthy move to cause mayhem and brouhaha within the Party to sabotage the efforts of the committee who has approved the indirect primary for the forthcoming exercise. PoliticsRe: Revealed: How PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar Released A Massive Amou by emilas1979(m): 7:56pm On Jul 25, 2019
Another story
aguele:
Revealed: How PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar released a massive amount of monies to Shiites to destabilize Nigeria.

Fresh facts at the disposal of this medium have indicated that the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the just-concluded general elections, Atiku Abubakar may be behind the recent upsurge of the violent activities of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).

According to impeccable sources who pleaded anonymity stated that the PDP presidential candidate having failed to actualize his ambition through the ballot has vowed to ensure that the country is ungovernable for the incumbent administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The source stated that “On the verge of the elections, there were indications that Atiku Abubakar must have been short-changed by some of his trusted allies who he entrusted with monies for vote-buying across the country. When news filtered in that these monies were cornered, he was upset and knew his ambition of inducing voters in some key swing states would be a mirage” he stated.

The source further added that Atiku Abubakar from that moment started planning his next steps, which included distracting the present administration in all ways and means possible.

“The Turakin was livid and vowed to use all means to cause a distraction for the incoming administration. At a meeting with top associates, the Turakin was said to have confided in them that his start point would be the courts, accusing INEC of incompetence and underhand dealings with the APC.”

“This much accounted for the INEC server controversy that took centre stage in the country with the release of a purported server result. The idea of the INEC server was sold to the Turakin by a close associate from one of the South Western states with a background in ICT and a big player in the ICT industry in Nigeria.”

Another source within the know of things in the plot within the camp of the presidential candidate stated that the Turakin camp tried to reach out to some staffers of the ICT in INEC to allow them access to the INEC server.

“Two top staffers of the ICT department in INEC were offered huge amounts of money which were turned down on the basis that the 2019 general elections were not transmitted to the INEC server. The INEC staffers were vehement in their stance which did not go down well with the Turakin, and subsequently, a plan B was activated which was to take advantage of the agitations by the Islamic Movement of Nigeria for the release of its leader from detention.”

The source stated that when this idea was muted to the Turakin, he bought into it wholeheartedly.

“Turakin was impressed with the Shiites option that he conveyed a meeting with his top associates in Dubai due to the sensitivity of the issue. At the Dubai meeting which was meant to be under the radar of the press was of sort of strategy session where it was agreed that a special covert committee meets covertly with the leadership of the IMN in Nigeria to support its activities.”

The source added that the PDP presidential candidate stated that he didn’t want any trace of the covert support to him as the consequences of such actions might be disastrous for him.

It was also discovered that the select committee reached out to some close associates of the IMN in Kaduna and sympathized with them on the continued incarceration of their spiritual leader and made some hefty donations towards what was term welfare donations for the members of the IMN whose sources of livelihood have been stopped.

“A princely sum of $2milion was given in three tranches in Abuja, Kaduna and Nasarawa state to three different groups in a way to evade any form of detection by the security agencies.”

“The bulk of the monies disbursed came from Intels in Onne port and was meant for the purchase of auxiliary machinery and spare parts for use by the organization, but was eventually diverted to three associates who delivered to the top echelon of the IMN at three different locations.”

According to a top member of the IMN who pleaded anonymity for fear of execution confided in this medium that the recent upsurge of the activities of the IMN is as a result of the monetary inducement from Atiku Abubakar.

“Most of our members were told that they should be daring this time around in their confrontations with the security agencies as there would be a huge reward for the success of the protest this time around and this amounted the defiance nature of our members during the protest.”

“I know that some monies were given in large quantity, but I don’t know the source. For every protest, each member of given the sum of N200,000 and the families of those that died was given 10 million naira each by our leaders.” He stated.

This medium also gathered from sources with the top echelon of the IMN that after the last protest another sum of N800 million was delivered to the IMN with a condition attached to it and that more members should be recruited into the sect and they should be mobilized towards staging violent protest simultaneously around the country.

“As we speak, the IMN is one of the richest organizations in Nigeria with the level of funding it has been receiving in recent times. We were shocked to find out that there are people in this country that sympathizes with us. I know of a top PDP bigwig who has been consistent with his support for our activities and hence why we have been able to garner strength and continue with our agitations till our spiritual leader is released from custody.”

“They always tell us that Ran Ka dede sends his regards whenever they come to deliver welfare monies to us. Most of us don’t know who the Ran Ka Dede is but a few of us know it is Atiku Abubakar the presidential candidate of the PDP in the last elections.”

“We know he is not our member, but he has been supportive of our activities since the incarceration of our leader, and for that anything he wants us to do we do heartily.” He stated.

This much was corroborated by a highly placed security source who stated that the covert funding of the activities of IMN was traced to some highly placed individuals close to Atiku Abubakar.

“There are a couple of indications that the activities of the IMN are sponsored by some highly placed politicians who are hell-bent on destabilizing the government of the day. These individuals have resulted in all sort of unorthodox means towards actualizing their objectives, which of course includes sponsoring the violent activities of the IMN.”

The security source also added that the security agencies are on top of the situation towards revealing the identities of those behind the nefarious activities of IMN.

“We are still gathering intel on the sponsorship of the IMN. I can’t reveal names for now but what I can say is that those behind the nefarious activities of IMN would be brought to justice soon.”

It would be recalled that in the past few weeks, the IMN had undertaken violent protest across the country demanding the release of its leader, Ibraheem El-Zarzaky from custody despite the ongoing court process.
