I traveled with the kids because, school closed on 23rd and no one to look after them, we were hoping to return by 30th March.

Have really run out of cash. Moreso the burial has been cancelled

Now, we can't travel back,
We are really stranded here as my wife is a public servant and her job is on the line.

“Rev. Sister drops her sisterhood from the Catholic Church and got married. She does not want to continue to deceive herself!!!”

This was how Engr. Joe Igbokwe described a Catholic Reverend Sister who got married recently. Evidently, the statement was made in bad faith. It is another instance of a person who assumes he knows making comments about an institution he knows little or nothing about. If Uncle Joe asked a little question, he would have understood the basic philosophy that guides the lives of Rev Sisters in the Catholic Church.

The former Rev. Sister in question was not the only one that had got married in the Church. Seeing people that quit the priesthood get married is a rarity, but for Rev Sisters, it is not a rarity. Uncle Joe should have sought what informed the decision of the former Sister rather than that statement of his made from perspective of ignorance.

In the Catholic Church, sisterhood is open to women who are ready to devote their lives to the service of God through serving the Church and the people of God. It is not forced on any person to assume that those that embrace it are deceiving themselves. When has the desire to serve God more intimately become self-deception? Even if some are deceiving themselves just like some people ordinarily deceive themselves, should it be appropriate to use it in reference to the institution of sisterhood as his statement suggests? In fact, I should demand that Joe apologises for that uncouth words.

Are we in doubt as to the work of Rev Sisters in the society? They are the backbone of the Church’s social work. Daily we see them very active in education, health and Charity apostolate. Rev. Sisters maintain the largest orphanages in the world as well as homes for the care of the destitute. They are bywords for corporal work of mercy. Their contributions to the society are so apparent as not to be recognised or appreciated. Have you thought about a person like St Mother Theresa for brief acquaintance on what Rev. Sisters do which Mr. Igbokwe chose to brand self-deception?

Like Rev. Frs., they take the voluntary vows of obedience, chastity and poverty.

BUT WHAT UNCLE JOE DOES NOT KNOW IS THAT IN THE CASE OF REV SISTERS, THEY TAKE THE VOWS IN THREE STAGES CALLED FIRST (temporary), SECOND (temporary) AND FINAL (perpetual) PROFESSION. BEFORE THE FINAL PROFESSION, THEY RENEW THE TEMPORARY PROFESSION EVERY YEAR. ANY YEAR A REV. SISTER DOES NOT RENEW HERS, SHE IS ABSOLVED AND CAN RIGHTLY MARRY. HOWEVER, ONCE A REV SISTER GOES THROUGH THE RITUALS OF FINAL PROFESSION, SHE IS NOT ALLOWED TO MARRY AGAIN. ANY FORM OF DISPENSATION THEREAFTER COMES FROM ROME.

When the ecclesiastical uninformed make comments about the Catholic Church, I laugh. Any person at home with Church history knows that apart from the fixed, immutable Biblical mandates it must adhere to at all times, her day-to-day activities are formed by thousands of years of thorough distillation from the contributions of the best brains in the world. We see this in operation when people argue against clerical celibacy. Most of them do not even know that priests used to marry until it was stopped to give them enough room to devote their lives completely to Christ. Such decisions are not dogmas, but made for the interest of the Church, just as the Church can, in her own wisdom, decide to abolish it.

The Church is under constant reformation (Ecclesia semper reformenda). Apart for the immutable laws of God that guide the church, some of the decision she takes for her governance can be changed. Times were when we had mostly cloistered sisters and nuns that were circumscribed in their convents, but today the Church allows them to expand their objectives in the light of the changing world without being injurious to the faith. Whatever or however one views it, the consensus of history is that the Catholic Church remains the best administered ecclesiastical organisation in the whole world.

You see for people like us who can think,we do not rush into concluding things we fully do not understand. Let us reason together.

Phase 1�
Now Pastor Chris said 5G is what's killing people and not the virus. He said this in a world wild broadcast. He even called our the federal government of Nigeria and said the reason they locked down Abuja and Lagos is because they want to install 5G towers.

Phase 2�
Pastor Chris is a well learned man. PhD holder. He is vast in knowledge. He has international influence. He is respected worldwide. He has connections and friends in big places. A lot of influential personalities attends his church. In fact of recent he called for world prayer day and the world stood still. He is friends with some world Presidents and Senate leaders and a whole lot of them respect him. He has an international reputation for one of the world's spiritual leader.

Phase 3�
Should we assume that despite all we know about Pastor in phase 2�,that he is that stupid to just wake up one morning and start speaking gibberish?.. Are we right to conclude that Pastor Chris gone mad overnight?... As a world leader, could it be possible Pastor Chris didn't put his reputation into consideration before making his claims public?.. Could it be that Pastor Chris accusing the federal government of Nigeria in the open of locking down Lagos and Abuja because they want to install 5G tower never thought of he could be arrested and prosecuted by the FG if his accusations are wrong.. in fact maybe he just became mad and stupid overnight?..

I subscribed for Gotv from my account on Tuesday (17/032/20) , I waited till Friday 20th nothing was coming up. I checked from the app on my phone and I find out the money wasn't credited, so I called the customer care number the lady told me they received the money later i find out the money has been credited to my account. But yet to display anything.
Story cut short, I have called and spoke with their Attendance over 7times bw Friday/Saturday. Keep getting same and, we have sent for request for a reset, put it on number 5 it will display in a jiffy,yet nothing is coming up.
Now @gotv Nigeria is not picking up my calls. Most annoying is that this calls are paid for as their line is not toll free.
