The Ukwa West born young politician told the youth that the future of Asa, Abia, and Nigeria as a whole lies in the hands of the youth, “Ukwa is Abia’s golden hen that lays the golden egg but regrettably the state government has always neglected Ukwa youths when it’s time to share political offices and other developmental derivable, but sadly politicians are always quick to remember the youths during elections as political thugs”
Addressing them in a lofty tone, he said Ukwa is the only LGA in Abia that God blessed with Oil, Gas and other mineral resources but our living standard and environment does not depict the rich nature and divine gift God had bestowed on us.

United4greatnes: Police skaid Tuesday that the drive-by shooting of a 26-year-old man from Eritrea in a small west German town was "very clearly" motivated by xenophobia.
The East African victim was left seriously wounded after being shot in Wächtersbach, near Frankfurt in the state of Hesse, after being fired at from a vehicle on Monday afternoon.
The victim is said to be in a stable condition after emergency surgery on his stomach.
"He became a victim because of his skin colour," public prosecutor Alexander Badle said at a press conference.
The shooting "had a very clear xenophobic motive," he said, adding however, that "there is no reliable evidence that contact existed... with far-right extremist" groups.
While searching for the perpetrator, police said they later found a 55-year-old German man "apparently lifeless" in a vehicle in a neighbouring town. He was later confirmed dead in hospital.
Investigators believe the suspect, who had no previous convictions, killed himself.
"According to current information, it is likely that this person is the suspected shooter," police said, adding that his death was not caused by their officers.
Police found five weapons, all legally registered, during a search of the home and car of the suspect, who had recently also sold a sixth gun.
"Why he legally had such an arsenal of weapons, I cannot give any information about", said Badle.
A letter was also found, but the prosecutor gave no details.
Astark: The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki said his administration will not avail the federal government land for the contentious Ruga settlement in Edo State.
The Governor spoke while giving a lecture on the topic “Challenges of Pastoralism and International Migration for Sustainable Peace and Development: Edo State Experience” at the Department of State Services Institute of Security Studies (Executive Intelligent Management Course 12), in Abuja.
He said the narrative that the pastoral movement and farmer/headers clashes are not related to the security challenges in Nigeria is not true.
His words: “In Edo State, we have found so-called herdsmen with maps in the forests, they clearly cannot be herdsmen who are dependent on their livelihood from their animal assets; that cannot be.
“I think it is important in the context of this discourse to make that distinction between conflict as a result of economic activities, separate from deliberate conflict that is related to other issues like insurgency and terrorism.”
The Governor said over the years the state has had issues of pastoralists or herdsmen who have come to parts of the South, Edo State using grazing routes and mixing with locals.
“Our approach is, animal husbandry is a business just like we have poultry, piggery or what have you, so from that perspective, we want to now upgrade agricultural practices as it relates to livestock.
“During the era of General Babangida, he set up ranches in Edo; we have one in Igarra and several parts of the state. They are either privatized or left fallow, so we are talking to people who purchased them to see how they can be re-activated.
“For us, because it is business like any other private business, the state should not really have much to except we create an enabling environment for those people we want to invest in livestock business.
“So, the issue of giving state land for livestock, it won’t happen in Edo State.
“However, for individuals who have land and they want to go into livestock business like we are supporting people who are doing cassava and others, we as government will support them.”
On how to resolve the incessant herders/farmers conflict, he said: “The Sambisa Grazing Reserve (4800 ha) is an ideal and symbolic place to take-off by establishing a ranch run by the military.
“It would significantly improve the security situation in the zone and encourage cooperation between pastoralists and the military. “In the North West, the military should also be encouraged to create ranches in the Gidan Jaja Grazing Reserve (565,000 ha) for the same purpose of improving security and cooperation with pastoralists,” the Governor said.
Obaseki said violent extremism, recurrent herder-farmer conflicts, cattle rustling, armed banditry, violent cross-border crimes, insurgency, illegal migration and other forms of crimes have “threaten the fabric of our country. ”
According to him, national cohesion is seriously threatened by the conflict “as many farmers and pastoralists have lost their lives and property in several orgies of violence.
“As we gather here for this lecture, so many Nigerians are living in fear of attack or reprisal attacks due to the growing herders-farmers’ conflict,” he said.
Had to smash my television because of the lies emanating from his gutters yesterday morning watching him. Femi was among the major problem we faced during change. And here we have him again in the NEXT LEVEL. Indeed there was a country.
[Kquote author=Antoeni post=80571512]The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, says the Presidency has refused to obey Justice Gabriel Kolawole’s ruling, ordering the release of the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Ibraheem El-Zakzakky, because it appealed the ruling.
Adesina said this during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Tuesday.
The presidential spokesman said the then Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), could have his reasons for doing so since the government had the right to appeal the bail.
He said, “I know that the immediate past AGF in whose purview it was to make pronouncements on that, addressed the issue. If bail is granted and another case subsists, and there is an immediate filing of an appeal, you have to wait till it is dispensed with. So, that is a legal matter which is outside my purview, but as a layman, an unlearned man as lawyers would call us, we know that until all cases are dispensed with, you don’t say that they have been concluded.”
Adesina said the matter had since been taken before a court in Kaduna State and the bail hearing would come up on Monday.
He, therefore, called on the sect to wait for the court to make its ruling.
Responding to allegations that the police should not have fired live bullets at the group which was protesting against the continued detention of their leader in Abuja on Monday, the spokesman said the police deserved commendation, adding that the death toll would have been higher if the force did not demonstrate restraint.
Adesina said, “I tell you despite what happened yesterday (Monday), if the police had responded with greater force, you know we would not be talking about what we are talking now.
“A deputy commissioner of police was killed. Very sad, that is one life just like any other life. He did not deserve to die in service. But if the police had responded in a similar fashion, you would have been talking of rivers of blood in Abuja now.”
No sir You are the true definition of afonja the chest beater. Your kindsmen ask for it The leader of modern day Oduduwa is interested in becoming the president of Nigeria Even when you are all consumed it doesn't matter, so long he achieve his aim and satisfy some greedy few
MaNyEsq: This article by Eric Tuotamonr Hart (July 13 at 5:17 AM) is a very interesting read as well as an eye opener. Any right thinking Nigerian who still believes in the Buhari Government should have a rethink. He who has ear let him hear.
Bandits were created by Gen Mohammadu Buhari Rtd to oust Jonathan. Bandits are not Boko Haram nor Herdsmen!
It all started in April 2014 when Mohammadu Buhari assembled his ardent supporters, promoters and strategists to determine how to remove President Jonathan Goodluck. Prominent amongst them were El-Rufai, Gen Danbazo (Rtd)……..
A decision was reached to consult Miyatti Allah cattle breeders association for assistance to boot Jonathan Goodluck out of office. Consequently, the National Chairman of Miyatti Allah was engaged to bring in foreign mercenaries. Within a month, 2,000 Fulani fighters were brought in from Mali, Senegal, Niger Republic, Chad, Libya to name but a few. Further 4,000 fighters were stationed in Niger and Chad on standby.
On arrival, they were assembled in Kaduna under the sponsorship of El Rufai and were addressed by various Northern Leaders including the Sultan of Sokoto, Gen Buhari (Rtd) etc.
Specifically, Gen Buhari in his address told the fighters that “the British handed Nigeria over to us the Fulanis at independence. The land (Nigeria) belongs to us. We must reclaim what belongs to us.”He added that at the event that Jonathan Goodluck worn the election, the Fulani machinery must fight until they regain control of the country. He assured them that the Nigerian Army was behind them.
The mercenaries received initial training from the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy and were sent to 6 camps in Ekiti State, Benue State, Katsina State, Kaduna State, Zamfara State and Borno State.
In the camps, brand new pick-up trucks, generators etc were provided them. Nigerian Airforce helicopters were used to provide them essential supplies like food, water, drinks and even arms and ammunitions.
Evidently, Jonathan Goodluck lost the election in 2015 through a well orchestrated election organised by INEC under a Fulani Chairman, Professor Jega. Gen Buhari (Rtd) was sworn in as the president. This saw the emergence of a Fulani president through a dodgy election hence the planned violent war was averted.
Contrary to expectation, the mercenaries in the various camps were abandoned, no more food and essential supplies. The relationship between Miyatti Allah, El Rufai (now a State Governor) and Dambazo broke down. El Rufai arrogantly declared that they were not needed anymore and they should go back. Consequently, the killings in Kaduna commenced as a warning to El Rufai but it did not bother him. He declared that he had paid the people carrying out the killings and they did not want to stop. The Nigerian police did not bother to call Gov El Rufai to give further clarification on this.
The Mercenary at the various camps decided to go about to find food for themselves by robbing people, going into farm lands and kidnapping. Miyatti Allah made several efforts to contact El Rufai and Dambazzo to appeal to them to provide money to return these fighters to where they came from. All efforts proved abortive. The mercenaries at this point vacated their organised camps and took to crime.
The criminal gangs which emanated from these mercenaries were at this point described as “Bandits” in order to differentiate them from other notorious terrorist groups like Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram etc.
Following the untold destruction and killings which the Bandits carried out especially in Katsina and Zamfara, the Northern leaders in conjunction with officials of Nigerian Government requested Miyatti Allah to intervene and remove the Bandits from Nigeria. Miyatti Allah returned demanding 150 Billion Naira to settle the Bandits and evacuate them. The Government turned the offer down and restricted itself to the payment of 100 Billion Naira.
Shamefully Godwin Emefiele raised 100 Billion Naira for the settlement as a condition for his re-appointment as the Central bank Governor.
Miyatti Allah collected the money and purportedly distributed it but nothing changed.
In a bid to control the damage, President Buhari directed that ROGA initiative be setup to create colonies for these fighters in every state in Nigeria.
My questions are: 1. Should Nigerian communities accommodate these criminal elements? 2. Why has El Rufai not been called to clean up the mess he created? 3. Does this explain the President Buhari’s silence? 4.Is this conspiracy of the North gone wrong?
Fruittie: The General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos State, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has said he wishes the incoming ministers the best as they pilot the affairs of the country. Bakare stated this when he spoke to Sun in reaction the submission of the ministerial list to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
Bakare, who was once the vice-presidential candidate of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change, CPC, and Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 general election also asked God to give the incoming ministers, the grace and wisdom to make the President’s second term better than the first. Bakare said, “That was my opinion and I am entitled to it and the person who has the yam and the knife has decided. So be it! “I don’t have any feelings. My feelings are my feelings. I don’t have any feelings at all. I wish them the best and may God grant them grace and wisdom to make the second term better than the first.”
Bakare added that his confidence was in God Almighty who created Nigeria and will not let the nation suffer when asked if he was sure that the incoming ministers would make the second term of Buhari better than his first tenure.
Coker302: The immediate past minister of Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, was among ot her Ex-ministers dumped by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Earlybaze Reports that Buhari had forwarded his Ministerial nominees to the Senate with Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah from Abia, making the list.
Ogah was the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last 2019 election in Abia state. The Abia state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had severally tackled the ex-minister over his alleged indifference to party issues. Comrade Benedict Godson, the Publicity Secretary of the party, had in April, vowed that the leadership of the party in the state, would resist any move to reappoint Enelamah.
According to him, “We have a minister on paper, but nobody feels his impact. Throughout the campaigns, he showed no interest. He is supposed to help in the building of this party, but he has remained unconcerned and lackadaisical to the interest of APC. “He’s practically not an APC member. Now, he is being projected again to return as a minister which should not be so. We disown him, because, he is a saboteur to our party here in Abia. His attitude is serving the interest of the opposition”. It appears Buhari bowed to the party’s pressure
Used to respect this guy a lot Not until he turned himself to be on the side of the oppressor of the poor masses. His job has paid off. Posterity will sure remember him either for good or bad. Time will Tell
He said nothing new. Thats what every patriotic citizens of this great Nation are asking for. Buhari OBEY court order. If the leader of IMN is found guilty by any court, let him face it. If set free let him be free. We are not an emperor. This is Democracy

googi: Other African countries will tell you each time Fulani misbehave, they discipline them. They are lazy. Dogon in Mali were fewer than them but they still kicked their butts.
What Fulani are good at is Divide and Conquer. This is how they (Dan Fodio) captured Hausa Dynasties. Religion is their powerful weapon though and they use it wisely.
In the Middle Belt, Danjuma champion their cause. In the West Obasanjo did. In the East Azikiwe did until Nzeogwu broke their back. Fulani will always look for partners within you. If they cannot find any, they take to their heels and come back later.
E Don de happen small small Thy go soon arm them. We are yet to conquer book bois and our dear dullardihno is busy recruiting another sets of jihads. who did this to us
NSNA: Iran Shiites Disrupt Nigeria Embassy Investment Program in London over El Zakzaky Detention They are seen making loud noises and praying from morning till midnight in front of the Nigerian embassy in London.
Priscy01: Benjamin Uwajumogu, senator-elect of Imo north, has led some protesters to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters over non-issuance of certificate of return to him.
INEC earlier had to set up a committee to look into various allegations of misconduct after Uwajumogu was declared winner.
Uwajumogu challenged the decision, saying that the electoral body is only “using the excuse of committee to deny” him the certificate he ought to have received, Igbere TV reports.
A Federal High Court in Abuja, on Friday, July 5, ordered that INEC must issue the senator-elect his certificate, a decision the body failed to comply with, Igbere TV reports.
While addressing newsmen on Monday, July 22, the senator wondered why a committee had to be set up after he had been declared a winner.
He said: “Some of them that have been given certificates did not have to go through any committee before they were given.
“Why is my own going through this process? Why is INEC using the excuse of the committee to deny us our certificate of return when a court has given an order?
“We are asking INEC to produce that certificate of return and they must produce it and we asking them to produce it to forestall a breakdown of law and order.”
It was earlier reported that INEC said that it suspended all further proceedings and actions in the Imo north senatorial election.
The development was announced by the electoral body on Tuesday, April 16, via a statement signed by Mallam Mohammed Haruna who is the national commissioner and member of INEC information and voter education committee.
