My thoughts? A club like Manchester United should be in contention for every trophy. If we end the season trophyless, it's not a success. If the next season doesn't better the current one, it's a failure. Tell that Mourinho fan that Mourinho wasn't sacked for finishing 2nd. Coaches have won the league or some cups and gotten sacked that same season.

The issue with Man utd is that they are not sure if they want to be an attacking and possession side or a defensive and counter side

There are players like Bisakka James and Fred who are suited to a defensive game which is why they look very good when they play any opponent that brings the game to them like Citeh in games like those Pogba cannot be hustling to be chasing Citeh players all over so everyone will blame Pogba in games like that

When you face an opponent where you have to attack like yesterday you will see the limitations of these players cos Bisakka won't have much defensive tackles to make but will be required to join in attacking build up which he is lacking at. The same Bisakka that was like motm vs City in the 2 league games where his strength neutralized Sterling will look useless

James who had space to run into will have less, and Fred whose energy and workrate will be useful in counter will now be required to use his brain to create play
