Was told Nigerian Navy Dssc was advertised on thisday newpapers on 23rd i.e yesterday. Please anyone with thisday newpaper should help me confirm the authenticity of the info.

Print all document you see there. Both pdf included. You will then have a total of 5 forms consisting of 2 Local gov att. form, 2 parent/ guardian consent form and 1 photo card. Even when you take your form to your local government they will request for 2 local gov attestation form.

When you were shortlisted on the final list did you see new faces that were not in the list?

It may interest u guys to knw that last year I ws lyk virtually all of u ie an applicant into d NA. Lucky enof for me, I made the final list and by the special grace of the Almighty come next week I shall be commissioned, what a dream come tru. My advise to u guys is to continue praying and be very hard working cos d Army job needs brave minds. The training in the Nigerian Defence Academy is a very interesting one. I wish u guys all the very best. Hoping to see some of u during my POP come Saturday next week.

shymexx: It's a pity that a country as big as Nigeria is still using Alpha Jets(a training aircraft) as its main military aircraft. If manipads can hit your aircrafts, then, you shouldn't even be braggart about your military.

The whole thing is hysterical!!

Alpha jet is amongst some of NA fight. You dön't beat a child with blow. You flog him with cane for him to gain wisdom. If you beat the child with a blow you might kill him.
So stop using your unscreened words to degrade the Nigerian military. There are more powerful jets than Alpha jet in the Nigerian airforce.

bigboyo: ...another serious physical is the push up and sit up, its really giving me tough time, i can barely do 20 push ups at a go...please does anybody knows how important it is in the physical and how many are required to be done...thanks.

It is very important and try as much as possible to increase both push up and sit up to at least 50.

I was kidding man at my first txt.
To do push up:
(1) First warm up your muscles and make sure you are ready.
(2)Lie in a prone position on the flöor or any surface that can support your weight.
(3)Position hands palm down on the floor, approximately shoulder width apart.
(4) Raise yourself using your arms. Lower your torsos to the ground until your elbow forms 90 degree.
(5) Raise yourself by attempting to push the ground away from you. Repeat the last two steps for the remainder of the exercise till you are exhausted. Thanks.
Then for sit up:
(1) Lie with your back on a floor or surface that can support your weight.
(2) place hands behind the head with knees up in an attempt to reduce stress on the back muscle and spine.
(3) Then try to elavate both the upper and lower vertebrae from the floor, until everything superior to the buttocks is not touching the ground. Do it up and down.
Repeat step three till you are exhausted.
Try to add one or two more each day and keep developing your muscular endurance.
