backtovillage:You're talking as if there aren't Nigerians in Russia. If you were given the chance to choose between the US and India, which would you choose normally? You want to dispute the fact that the Western media has made us know some of the nations you're mentioning. Weren't the Nigerian government trying to force down french on us some years ago? The fact remains...we wouldn't choose Russia because the propaganda against the country and the fact that it's not an English speaking country adds up to it. 1 Like |

backtovillage:If the can't go to Russia then they have something bad they're doing. There are Nigerians in Russia. I can never be given a chance to travel to Russia or the US and I would choose Russia...why? Because I would never be given a chance to travel to Ashanti or Igbo and I would choose Ashanti. I am a Yoruba man who has known much about lifestyles of Igbos and understand some of their culture. Most Russians don't speak English, most Nigerians don't know about them and that's simply because unlike the west, they never invaded our land and shove their language down our throats. An average Nigeria would choose to travel to Britain over France..Na so e be. AN average Nigerian know so much about the west, their culture, cuisines, way of life and many others. Yet with all these....Nigerians are still in Russia living absolutely well. If you cannot try the rubbish you're doing in Saudi in Russia,it means you're in a country(Russia) that's very disciplined and doesn't take rubbish from anyone. 2 Likes |

goodheart01:I know about the Tsar Bomba being dangerous to use. Infact,if it were to be detonated,it would be a 50/50 chance for the detonator. About the US and allies having more, I will agree to a point with the fact that the US' allies are more than that of Russia but the ruthlessness of Russia's allies is the point here. I know China at a point is still finding a way to pay Japan back for what happened in Nanjing in 1937 and the WW2 while NK has an obvious hate for the West. What Russia and China can do now is find potentials in Africa but that would take decades because Africa is still crawling 4 Likes 1 Share |

Hello Python gurus at home. Please it's been close to three weeks I started learning python and I can really say I have been trying a bit.I am still at the beginner level and I am learning on Sololearn. However while I got to some parts like (creation of functions using Def: )downwards,I started getting things mixed up. The whole loop also did gave me problems but I think I have overcome that a bit. Please who knows a book or document format that I can get to know it more..or maybe some personal tricky codes anyone uses to understand it. I mix list functions up with string functions and many complexities and please suggest the best way I can get myself closer to python to become well grounded. Thanks a lot. #modified And please suggest YouTube channels to follow where I can get challenges and questions to do. And about Frameworks, can I learn Django after learning the beginning basics? I'm sorry the questions are too many. I just want to set a great path of knowledge and I am an obvious beginner still in some debris of oblivion 1 Like |

I am still very young but I try as much as possible to learn anything I can, and I have always wanted to learn coding but I never knew there are sites where I can learn to some extent for free online. I think these are what you would have done and as I still have my time,I will do as much as possible to learn. I draw(naturally without learning) great things offhand and I wish to learn more about drawing like hyperrealistic art, I love music and I am currently learning piano and planning to learn guitar,i am also learning Spanish and German and also french in case I get a chance to travel. I do researches to polish my writing skills (both poetry and prose) and I want to study an IT course so I wish to learn coding. Truthdeypain: When they say you guys are known for hypocrisy, you tag the people haters. You lived with yoruba people, you could say it out yet you believe that they hate you. You are saying an average yoruba man is filled with lies...should we say because all igbos are tribalists because some were/are. When some people say igbos are tribe of hate I would disagree, because I have many in my hometown is Osun state that we live fine and we don't even care to know if they're yorubas or not but you generalising it makes it bad. Some yorubas would call igbos tribalists because they believe that half of what you do in yoruba land,a yoruba person can not do it in igboland. Many hate igbos for coming to someone's ancestral land to come and claim part of it because they gave you space. If they hated you they would never allow you at all in their land. You would never flourish at all. And...you claim yoruba people are filled with hatred but would anyone hate you naturally if you hadn't done something. The fact that you call his father's land a no man's land is enough to harbor hatred. You say “ omo wa ni” but to you that's tribalism? Wouldn't you be happy if you were about to apply for a job in your state and they allowed only the natives first? How would you expect an equal rights in another man's land? It's just like expecting Osun state to have numerous competent people for a post and then put a lagosian there...this happens everywhere. Awolowo this... awolowo that...the same awolowo nzeogwu would have killed if not for the fact that it was Ladoke Akintola that was present. I am not in support of the genocide but somehow,if awolowo had done it then he did helped the war to halt at a lesser casualty. Gowon was ready to wipe all biafrans. I don't know who you've lived with but here, where I grew up,not until a someone is described as Igbo you wouldn't know because we do not care! https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/08/echoes-of-1966-some-igbo-are-lying-over-awolowo-civil-war-role-adebanjo/https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/07/11/flashback-on-civil-war-awolowo-defends-himself/ Read the true stories from the mouths of the horses and let's just stop spreading hate! |

drmuchin:Rap as a genre is a culture just like Afrobeats. However, unlike Afrobeats that stemmed from our culture as tribes and heritages,Rap stemmed from the street culture. From the ghettos of Harlem in NY to Compton in CA, it's highly influenced by kids whose background were 95% gang-filled. Most of them rose from the streets and were in a gang before fame. When the get the fame, they occasionally talk about their lives and diss their enemies..for example in 2pac's To live and die in LA...he talked about gang life and said “ better learn about the dress codes B's and C's” which meant Bloods and Crips. Coming from a rough background, that wouldn't change even after the fame and they still fight concerning issues on drugs and women and others. And in the gang game, anybody is a potential victim be it a president or a mere street beggar. And fans of rappers also cause mayhems by forcing them to diss. Imagine if Ronaldo and Messi were gangsters who had dissed each other over the times and there happens to be a gang war between the Messi's and Ronaldo's gang....they would actually look for a way to off each other. There are many other things that makes them endangered... including their pasts. Orlando was said to have shot PAC because he beat him and PAC was a member of a rival gang already. So..there are many things. Infact, List of Murdered Rappers is a whole article itself on Wikipedia 1 Like |

Religion / Re: Is Heaven Made For Christians Only? by EmmanuelBlaze04: 11:52am On Sep 11, 2022 |
That's why I do not believe in Heaven or hell though I am a Christian who prays. What triggered my disbelief in heaven and hell was after reading the Rick Riordan book which was heavily based on the Egyptian myth. I read that the Egyptian myth has a hall of judgement in the duat(spirit world) and Osiris will judge the people based on their actions while alive. Anubis will weigh their hearts. The people with good hearts will enter the underworld while the bad one will be destroyed by Ammit the devourer. NOW, I THOUGHT THAT IF THE EGYPTIAN MYTHOLOGY HAS SPREAD OVER THE WORLD,WE WOULD ALL BELIEVE IN THIS. IF I WAS A MUSLIM I WOULD HAVE SEEN CHRISTIANS AS UNBELIEVERS ETC. |

atheistandproud:Okay now I get what you were saying. I thought you were saying a different thing. It's just the same way the French tried to ally with Biafra because they were against Nigeria especially after Nigeria broke the ties with them after detonation of bombs on the Sahara. They knew Nigeria to be a former British colony so the needed a friend in West Africa and they saw the struggles of Biafra. 2 Likes |

atheistandproud:How? Christopher Columbus got to the New World (Americas) in 1492. They continued to explore and depopulate the locals and made the Caucasians the majority. Which king? French how? The French didn't help any Britain ha. The French actually wanted to colonize the Americas too and that made them fight wars like the French/Indian War(1754-56) which metamorphosed to the Seven Years War(1756-63) after some alliances were made. The French tried to help the locals especially during the brouhaha of the Stamp Acts which led to the revolutionary war. The French could only make it in some parts of the North..reason why some parts of Canada speak French today. And America was gotten out of Italian Explorer Amerigo Vespucci's name. |

Thermodynamics: How has the education etc better us? That's our problem not theirs. Nigeria educational sector is not working,we should blame Britain? I know so well you're educated, now are you saying all your years in school you don't see the value? Old women in my hometown would do anything to make sure their children get educated because they know the negative effect illiteracy brought unto them. Africa was better? Talk about big empires. Africa was wallowing already in ignorance. Creepy human sacrifices to gods. ALTHOUGH AFRICA WAS DOING WELL, AFRICA WASN'T BETTER! Who started slave trade? Enslaving people has been in existence from time immemorial. Egypt was once great, King Narmer united the Upper and Lower Egypt, and the empire stretch far to claiming lands in the middle east. Egypt fell during Cleopatra's reign, the Romans started their own campaign. They captured Britain and even gave Britain the name(from Britannia), and enslaved them. The Saxons and Vikings were once great colonizers, Genghis Khan stretched his Mongol Empire to as far as Europe. Here in Africa, our forefathers had inter-tribal wars... Dahomey against Oyo etc. Britain rose to power simultaneously with France...they believed that was cycle of life...the best empire and emperor were known by so much land they could accumulate and how many slaves they had. Britain was the last super empire to do that, they brought civilization and stopped the capturing shxts and all that,or do you think if they didn't,there won't still be inter-tribal wars? You and I would still be living in fears of being captivated by a bigger empire and army. IF IT WAS OUR ANCESTORS THAT DID WHAT BRITAIN DID,WE WOULD CALL THEM WARRIORS. NAPOLEON, ALEXANDER THE GREAT etc were called warriors but reversed case for the Britons who had suffered from slavery too. NO ONE SAID THEY DID WHAT WAS GOOD BUT DO NOT BLAME THEM FOR EVERY SINGLE MISTAKE WE MAKE!!! |

justuschi50:“ British Empire”.....but Elizabeth started to rule in 1952. Blaming her for the French and Indian war, blaming her for the Seven Years war, blaming her for the captivation of the New World (Americas) blaming her for the captivation of the Polynesian islands, blaming her for amalgamation of Nigeria ah ah! She was born in 1926 oo, how come Queen Elizabeth lived so much to deliver such pain. Some even said India, ah, she was yet to become the Queen when India got Independence in 1948 and her father even separated India and brought out Pakistan so they wouldn't fight same way she gave us the choice to rule by our regions. We can't blame the Saxons and Romans for captivating Britain, we can't blame Oyo Empire for fighting a war with the Dahomey but we want to blame only Britain. Let's blame them all! No be Elizabeth go collect blame for wetin Henry VIII do oo 2 Likes |

riverbird:They didn't steal it,they took it as a colonizer. Well, sentiments aside, they didn't do well, but when cursing Britain, should we curse our warrior forefathers who created large empires in Africa and won battles and enslaved their own people? Should we curse Napoleon Bonaparte too? Should we curse Genghis Khan too? Should we curse Alexander III(the great) too? Should we curse Ramses the great too? Should we curse Ravanalona too? I guess yes.The fact is that, Britain, after suffering from the Romans grew their Empire to also become a stronghold. We should criticize their actions but we should also criticize that of our great warriors who'd also won wars and enslaved fellow Africans to extend their empire before the advent of Britain. Civilization turned the world from being a survival mode prone era to an era of Human Rights and africa was the last to be touched just when the civilization started to rear its head 6 Likes 4 Shares |

She left us in 1963! Did she tell Buhari to rule like this? She did her best to separate us from fighting by giving us rulership over our respective regions even when she wasn't the one that amalgamated us. telim:Yes,they did. But should we erase the fact that inter-kingdom wars were already in Africa before the British came? The world has always been a survival mode area before the people came together to abolish it. The same Britain suffered from the Romans. Israelites suffered from Egyptians. The Oyo Empire would also wage war to expand her glory. There were slave traders already in Africa. We only say this because we were the last in line to feel the heat of it before the emergence of civilization. 5 Likes 1 Share |
