For volume/liquidity, you may try to check the average weekly and 3-month volume before buying the stock.
It is a good guide to know if you are to buy and how much you should buy

iran's problem is that because of sanctions, only seven countries account for 82% of their total exports
china, iraq, uae, turkey, afghanistan, pakistan, india - all of whom are in their neighborhood

to put this in perspective, their persian carpet revenue declined 95%
pakistan, turkey, and india without sanctions have subsumed their market share
lots of things that the likes of turkey, india, indonesia export can be made in iran at excellent quality

the more immediate problem is that china's alternate financial plans are not proceeding quickly enough
as a result, international trade remains very inefficient
if i want to export cassava to anyone on the planet, i make arrangements, and receiving payments will not give me sleepless nights
an iranian company that wants to export to anyone except china will have to figure out a mode of payment
for instance if they want to send it to south africa or nigeria, the rand or naira is not that useful to them
so the company will have to source for someone who also wants to sell to iran and arrange a barter or use a kludgy system to balance payments

if an alternate system existed, iran will be growing at high single digits
even with the constraints, brazil-iran trade has been rising steadily year after year
all of BRICS+ and many non-aligned countries will trade effortlessly with iran if there was an alternate system
take a random brazil - iran dual trade in national currencies, such a system will allow brazil to quickly exchange the tomans they recieve for a unt of a basket of currencies or some other axis currency that they can then use to purchase stuff on the international market from another country and vice versa. all done quickly and efficiently over a blockchain or something similar

the second part is the story of china's domestic consumption
if unsanctioned countries are struggling to break into the chinese market, what hope do iranian companies have
and the chinese market should be their primary lifeline
besides minerals like oil and natural gas, there's not much else iran can produce cheaper and better than a domestic chinese company

Fresh water are mostly river water. Ocean is salt water, Lake is mostly for fishing since is is not moving, so not good for human consumption nor do I think it is good for commercial farming.

I attended a wedding febraury this year.
What saddens me is that a man processed UK visa for this lady in late 2023 and spent 15m to get it for her.
He is a UK based man trying to bring a good lady from home (Nigeria) abroad to make his wife.
I don't know how they met - maybe online or connection by friends.
15m in 2023 is roughly 25 to 30m in todays naira value. SO we can have an idea of what that man spent all in the name of Love and relationship.
Guess what?
Immediately the lady got the visa, she broke up with him Right here in Nigeria before even touching London.
This is not a nollywood script rather what happened within my circle.
And as if that is not bad enough, she got engaged and did introduction to a new man she met at the train station in UK just 6 months arriving there.
Can you imagine that?
Just 6 months of breaking up with someone who has spent 15m on you to come into that country and you are already dating and engaged.
People were dancing in the wedding hall because it was a virtual wedding. The couples only joined us online watching through projector while both families were in the hall with their guest, musician, foods and drinks etc

All in all. I think there is still more room to grow

Companies like human have Life.
Humans give birth, then we grow and latter die. It is a natural cycle of Life.
To me, it is same with companies.
Companies breath, grow and latter dies ( to some, this is debatable). It doesn't mater how long, maybe a company will last 1 years,5 years or 100 years. On the long run, it either dies or get absorbed by another company.
So whatever is given birth to and grows needs regular Health check-up - check the pulse, BP, sugar level etc.
For a fundamentally sound stock, the quarterly reports stands as the regular medical checks to determine the health status of the company.
Reason i don't totally support the but and hold for long thing without regular checks.
Good companies hit hard times, experience bad managers etc and these companies become non-fundamentally sound as time goes on.

Actually it will be hard to predict which city nigeria will play outside the group stage.
The group stage ticket can easily be bought since there is a time table.

Ghana's equity YTD is 132% while that of Nigeria is 55.9% . Is that a lie ? - Yes it did 132% but it is a very small market. Volume/depth is small. Nigeria's Ngx is bigger than the whole 14 other west african countries combined.

That inflation figure they are rolling out to me looks manipulated just as i am skeptical with the reducing inflation rate in Nigeria were the citizens are mostly not feeling the impact on ground.
