crownprince2017: Have been wanting ask here, between ebitda and net profit which one is the most reliable metrics.
Your contributions will be appreciated.. 1 of 3 Firstly, recognizing accounting methods and it’s impact in financial reports and metrics is very important. Two identical companies can report vastly different results based on policy choices and a change in policy can invalidate year-on-year comparisons. Reported earnings can be significantly different from economic reality. Accounting policies determine how financial results are measured and presented; thus, identical business operations may yield divergent results under different policies. The accounting policy used will determine whether to use Net profit or EBITDA In a horizontal or trend analysis - where you compare the ratios or metrics of several years or period, using net profit if the company adopts one accounting policy without changing it overtime is okay or where the company analyzed is not investing much in PPEs which has big material impact on depreciation. |

Your contributions will be appreciated.. 2 of 3 IAS 16 (depreciation) and 38(amortization) accounting policy determines wat you will use. Is the company using Reducing balance or straight line approaching in determining their depreciation accounting method? A SLM increases EBIT thereby increasing NP but a RBL reduces EBIT and NP but increases EBITDA Summary - Use EBITDA if the companies you want to analyze uses same accounting policy, have huge investment in PPEs which will have impact in their depreciation and amortization. Use Net profit if both vertical analysis/Top-down approach and Horizontal analysis/Trend analysis remain the same over-time and with companies having low PPEs and depreciation. |

hezbollah's mural is up on palestine square in tehran a regional war is imminent iran is focused on coordinating an all-out assault from the entire axis of resistance
right now israel conducts offensive operations while there is pause in hostilities in palestine, lebanon, and syria deterrence prevents them from conducting operations in iran, iraq, and yemen iran will seek to expand that latter circle in the next war and will not be drawn into a premature slap fight
the writing is on the wall so satanyahu is going to washington to beg trump to take on iran if he likes he should go and beg aliens, it will rain missiles next year no deity can stop it
the recent news reports this assassination as well as the assassination of the hezbollah c-in-c (which was responded to with the australia attack) is satanyahu trying to dissuade iran and the axis from its current path but this is set in stone they should prepare their morgues
-Lord At the bolded..... i love what iran is doing. I think they need to expand that deterrence cover to the weaker countries. JESHAL007: @emmaodet, I can never compare myself with a woman, my cousin was jobless for 3 years post NYSC and she met an abroad based Nigerian online, they chatted, next thing I know she married him last year, now they have relocated to America, like Jesus, me that have been hustling since, most women are even trying to see what they can gain for me, my female cousin whose family are average at best now have their daughter in US
Summary Men are loved under the conditions they provide value or are powerful, women and children are loved unconditionally
Your timeline and women timeline are not the same, never you see them as your equals, they have the opportunity of leveraging men and society in general to advance, most men don't have that advantage I totally agree with you. That is why a boy who comes from a poor home and goes to university party and drink most times with ladies of same caliber is only setting himself up for failure if he is not wise because after school, some of these ladies will secure financially average men while the boy is starting from the scratch and those ladies will avoid him like a plague after school. Women have he luxury of squandering their future yet still have leverage and insurance of men but a man doesn't have such opportunity. |

I’m curious to hear her perspective— because it’s hard to imagine the kind of 'misunderstanding' that would push a mother to walk away from her three-month-old baby. Believe me, you don't need to experience misunderstanding with modern ladies for them to divorce you. Even if you are good, caring and loving, some of them will still divorce you anyway. Have seen 2 women abandon their children with the husbands just to japa. Not because of Love to another man nor were they suffering in the marriage before leaving. It is the drawback of capitalizing. So many women are highly ambitious and believe they have what it takes to make huuge money and marriage is tying them down to achieve their dreams. No. 1 dropped 2 boys of 5 and 9 just to follow her friend to I think Qatar or Oman. Who in their right senses will go to such place? What kind of dream was sold to her? And the man is not doing bad according to Nigeria standard but to her, it is just not enough - a 3 bedroom flat decently furnished and a Toyota Camry 2008. For a lady I doubt is a graduate or if she is, a mere house wife with no tradable skill, I want to guess she went there to become a prostitute. |

Gerrard59: South Africa is richer and more advanced than Nigeria. So, having 500 airports is okay. South Africa is not our mate on the continent. The aviation industry has a thin profit margin, and globally, only a few airlines are consistently profitable. For us to have thriving airports, the country has to be rich, as we are the "richest" country in West Africa, and with such wealth, many Nigerians don't fly consistently, how much folks in Niger, Ghana, Mauritania and Senegal? The country has to be rich so the wealth spreads to many neighbouring countries, especially in Central Africa, such as Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and the like.
So when we have states like Ebonyi and Abia (two of the poorest states in the southeast) and Ekiti having airports, it amuses me. What annoys me is how the indigenes arrogantly and ignorantly defend the need for these states to have airports. Anambra did not need an airport when there is one in nearby Asaba. In fact, Asaba did not need an airport as there was already one in Benin City. Uyo did not need an airport when the Margaret Ekpo International (only in the name) airport exist and there is a thriving Omagwa Airport in Port-harcourt. Imagine a poor Abia having an airport when there are FIVE nearby states with airports and four within an hour and a half drive? In 2013, it took 30 minutes or 45 minutes if the driver drove slowly to get to Calabar from Uyo. Today, it takes at least 5 hours. Better roads or airports, which benefit more people?
What we need are high-speed railways connecting major cities across these states. Abia should collaborate with other states in the region to build cargo railways that terminate in the Onne area of Rivers state. Furthermore, collaborate with governors and political elites in the north east so their goods can be swiftly transported. Cross River, Taraba, Adamawa, Bauchi, and Benue can spearhead this move.
These things are not rocket science.
Here: Air traffic has not hit pre-COVID levels: https://businessday.ng/aviation/article/nigerias-air-traffic-yet-to-hit-pre-covid-era-as-peers-see-steady-growth/
We are too poor to have many airports. Aside from the airports in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Rivers, the rest should be closed or used as regional train stations. |

luminouz: I would have sworn the fear is mostly on the women side or why are they the ones going to Shiloh every year? Women hate loneliness and most importantly feeling left out or unwanted.
Men with some cash or a living at least will always get someone to Bleep or have babies with, whether single mom, divorcee or whatever. This becomes even more true in third world countries like Nigeria. The average male earner may not have the best options of women in this country but he will still fuxk. You raised good points but so many men also are invincible and dying in silence. It is the main reason if 100 men get an average paying job today, atleast 80% of them will rush to go and marry withing 3/4 years. Also, when women are encouraged to open up- if a man beats you in a relationship or marriage, speak out so that we can help you, don't die in silence. - if you are seeking a spouse, come to the front of the altar let the pastor pray for you etc Men are being mocked for all these so we are to solve our issues in silence. Your woman is disrespectful? You better solve it in-house else you become a sisi who can't handle his woman. You don't have a spouse and show up in front of the altar? Even most of the ladies who come out who want to pick you because they will see you as low quality and men throw jabs at you for having no options. That is the reason suicide rate and mental issues are very very high with men compared to ladies. But all in all, in a country like Nigeria and you can get a room and throw mattress down on the floor, you are sure of banging some - the Bilikis, Rasheedats, Romokes etc |

JESHAL007: X
If Nigeria women had the government welfare, good economy, favourable government policies like the west, I can bet marriage and child birth would drop below replacement level but because of poverty they have to adapt to the societal and religious constraints against their inmate nature of unfettered hypergamy where they only select the best of the best , the top 20% of wealth and status for marriage and top 20% of physical attractiveness, since they make their own money, but in Africa it's either hookup or marriage to alleviate from poverty I don't like "if" in statements... It is a conditional tense and I can generate many "if" for many scenarios. There is no going to be "if" Humans are constantly dream of a perfect world but there won't be any. There are reasons why some conditions are created to have a predictable output. If you say a favourable government with welfare and policies will make so many women leave their marriages .... I agree. And I can also tell you what "if" there are so many beautiful virgins to go around for all the men in the world either poor or rich.... So many ugly, short and non-virgin women may likely die single too. OR What "if" all the men have money/rich, they will be able to pick their choices and not what life throws at them to marry. Many women will die single and lonely. Humans are interdependent. We need each other one way or the other and when we use "if" , we try to skew the situation to estimate a predictable bias. What if I tell you soooo many people who wake up every morning to rush to work don't like their jobs - my parent, your parent, uncle, sister etc but they need to do it anyway to keep the body and soul moving. What "if" the government (as usual) decides to give each citizen 200m naira (assuming zero inflation nor devaluation), what do you think will happen the following day? Most companies would fold up because no worker will show up. So of you skew a situation to favour women so as to be independent and avoid marriage, we can also skew many scenarios |

JESHAL007: Lol It's because of need for steady and uninterrupted sex, need for romance( oxytocin induced love), loneliness creating a need for companionship and societal with religious pressures make men act emotionally against their interest, logically and pragmatically asides raising kids in a functioning home there is no tangible benefit for marriage Well, about sex - I will tell you your chances of getting good mind blowing sex is higher being single than married. Talking from experience. So I wonder why poor men will want to run into marriage that won't gaurantee good sex unlike if they are single and free. The only logical thing I can think of why men want marriage desperately is due to Loneliness. When you have options in life like the average woman, running into marriage that will cut that off won't look encouraging nor interesting. Reason 80% of divorces are initiated by women because they know there will always be toasters into their late 50s provided they look okay. But for a man, the opposite is the case. A man can stay for a year without anyone calling him, sends credit or data, no happy birthday wishes nor gifts. Just silence Silence Invisible to the millions of humans walking the street yearly. This scarcity triggers fear and a man will be ready to settle down at the little slight of opportunity when he sees a woman that will atleast listen to him. It is a different ball game to men who have resources and constantly been showered with love and sex |

It's very difficult to find true love. This is an area I will support for the Chinese to outcompete everyone, while government conduct general oversight and compliance.
BYD already launched in Nigeria, which makes me wonder what’s cooking, because I wonder how BYD plan to scale up when electricity and charging stations are issues they have to contend with.
All in all, competition is good. If you can’t beat them, at least you can regulate them and still get handsome profits while getting the same result. It’s not different from what the gulf countries did with human capita. For example Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia etc all have a huge foreign presence.
Kuwait for example even have more foreigners living in Kuwait than citizens, but they never give citizenship, while maintaining a stronghold on their system, and deliver maximum benefits to their citizens.
So if the gulf countries can develop fast with human capita from outside the world and still retain their systems, African countries can do the same with Chinese money and expertise. There is an endless amount of money the Chinese have, and they just want a market to invest it in.
All their excessive foreign reserve can’t be used in China, which means they have to go for foreign projects from the BRI, to supporting Chinese firms, loans to foreign governments, financing foreign obligations etc .
In five years time, the world will be in a different stage. I still think Chinese competition haven’t even started. We go all see shege if we no buckle up.
China just have to avoid war and unnecessary traps the west are setting, which they are doing very well at already. Time and momentum is on their side, and they wil use it to achieve all their goals and even liberate Taiwan without firing a shot.
“Community of shared destiny for humanity”, the Chinese stated political slogan for the world will benefit everyone, and their capitalism is one of it. |

What if I tell you I worked 18 years exclusively at night. In bars, night clubs. You know I even worked about 10 months in a strip bar? Yes.
Do you know what the biggest problem is for girls who work in night clubs, bars, places that operate at night? They don’t have a boyfriend. They’re alone.
Everything depends on a person’s character. If a girl is a LovePeddler by nature, she’ll LovePeddler around even if she’s living in a village at home with your parents. If she’s not, and if she loves you, she’ll stay loyal no matter where she works or what she does.
And now, here’s the depressing part. Out of 10 men, if they get the opportunity, they’ll cheat on their wife. Same goes for women. Out of 10, if they get the chance, they’ll do it.
This isn’t some statistic I read. I’ve worked with people my whole life. I know people very well. I have that emotional intelligence. I know the human soul. There’s nothing lofty about it.
