Hello. This sounds nice. Why do you want to sell the blog? |
Elonmuskfan:You can start with your iPhone. But designing the blog and other things will need a laptop. |
AsherAmari:I have a side hustle, but the work load of my course won’t let me be. The Nigerian system makes it even worse. Imagine two months to complete a semester? And it’s not our fault that covid happened. I’m just tired. |
Recently I got some funds which I thought would last me some while, but to my amusement, It didn’t. I’ve spent 2k in two days and I don’t even know what happened. A meal rn is about 300 Naira. Plus transport and other things. Before I knew it, the money had gone. Please can anyone suggest any good money management as a student because I’m not undertanding how everything just goes so fast in today’s economy. |

@op although your screenshot looks suspicious; you earned nothing throughout the month of April. But I believe making money from blogging is very possible. For some ad networks, 1000 page visits gives an average of 10$. There was a time I even saw a epmv from Australia at around 100$! I was shocked. P.s: this is Ezoic which pays per 1000 visits instead of CPC like Adsense. Tbh, if you want to rack in dollars from blogging, the best bet is to target us, uk, Australia, Canada and other top tier countries. It’s going to be hard; yes, I mean researching Content about things you don’t know, but at the end it’s going to be worth it. Initially, I fooled myself going after passion and was blogging about Nigeria. But i found out it’s not lucrative and giving me the life I desire. Yes, people make money blogging for Nigerians, but you’d make much more doing so for us and other tier 1 countries! And for folks who are questioning the authenticity of the thread due to the age of the blog; what I’d say is that it’s totally possible. I know a blog that was formed 2020 and now makes around 4000$ monthly from Ezoic. If you want proof, I’d give you link and you’d check his twitter; he’s actually transparent about it. from the little I learned from the white man, the key is to target underserved niches or areas that are low competitive and have a good search volume. What’s more surprising is that he’s blog doesn’t even have too high DA. And he has about 260 posts from the last time I checked his sitemap. Making tons of dollars from blogging is super real. But the question is not if it’s possible but are you willing to put in the work, toil, sweat, blood and grind? Tbh; it’s not easy. There are times I cry internally, not seeing my posts on first page after taking lots of time to write over 3000 word unique articles. Patience is key, and consistency with quality is everything. If you want to make money from writing, then you should enter freelance writing. It’s quicker and has lesser heartbreaks. Get my ultimate guide book to freelance writing which teaches you all my strategies to become a terrific freelance writer. It’s going for a bonus right now, contact me if you’re interested.

Expresswriter:And they’re always these kinds of people that shout “experienced writer needed” . Tbh, some jobs shouldn’t be advertised at all. Because it’s annoying that you would want your fellow man work for you under such conditions. Isn’t that wickedness? If you want to help out, why not give your family members to write and you pay them? Or why not write it yourself @op? Y’all get jobs from US and other countries at minimum if 10$ per 1000 word which is about 3.8 Naira - 5 Naira per word then look for writers you’ll pay 1.2 Naira per word. Finally, our judgement is in Heaven. |

From the Desk Of Anaso Emmanuel Dear Medic, I’m really happy because I want to show you the Exact powerful skill that have generated me over 250,000 Naira in less than 8 months while I keep helping you through this MedicsDomain. ...and I didn’t go all in, helping clients; I had books to read, blog posts to write, and other things to do. BUT...with Little dedicated hours per day, I was able to add value to clients and boost businesses through quality content! If I can, then you can too! The reason I want to show you this skill is because I want you to MODEL it and 10X your financial life, even as a Medical Student or Doctor! But before I show you these super strategies, let me introduce myself and expose you to how I started my freelance journey; My name is Anaso Emmanuel, a student of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Nigeria and blogger at MedicsDomain. Initially when the lockdown started, I was very enthusiastic about my academics. I only wanted to read and focus on my studies alone. But as time went on, I found out that, I needed to make money. Don’t depend on education alone! We’ve always been hearing this phrase plenty of times, but in reality, 78% of students aren’t taking actionable processes towards getting other sources of income. I was tired of seeing others become successful in different things and I thought I was the only one who wasn’t doing something worthwhile. I was always shouting “GOD WHEN” each time I see a successful person. I wanted to work so badly but was trapped. The lockdown, pandemic and all, caused everyone to remain at home. But then I thought; I’ve learnt the art of freelance writing. I can go back to my clients and request for jobs from them. So I started prospecting, searching for the perfect job. I got plenty than I could handle, and I can say that the experience has been a blessing so far. I have made over 200K from the course of Freelance writing this year! And that’s way less than what serious folks earn in the field. I wasn’t that committed. I was always missing deadlines because of things at home, and didn’t spend much time working, but; I made something worthwhile with my skill. And YOU also can do it! Think Imagine getting about 3 credit alerts each week with few hours of work? Imagine waking up to a positive review about how good your work is, and getting paid for the work? Imagine not having to request for urgent 5K to go through some tough times as a student? When I was broke, I was like a lot of people; blaming my environment, the Nigerian economy (it keeps getting worse everyday), family condition, and circumstances. I always thought that the rich and successful people are privileged ones with rich parents who always got what they wanted, or were doing yahoo. And yes, I was in the habit of shouting “God when” each time I find someone doing well. I kept on asking myself, what can I do during the lockdown to make money as a young adult? I am in my early twenties, and I get credit alerts each week! How did I do all these; How was I able to generate cash each week from the comfort of my home? How did I break through, earning money when others were complaining during lockdown that there’s no work? Relax, you’ll find out everything below I found out that my Money blueprint (roots) was wrong. I had a SKILL problem. 1. You are broke because you don’t know how to exchange services for money If you want to change the fruits, you will first have to change the roots. If you want to change the visible, you must first change the invisible The money you’re looking for will not fall on a platter of gold. Yes, you might have a friend who got rich off billing his parent, or From relatives. But no one would give you money asides your relatives except if you have a Skill! God will not throw money from heaven to earth. But here’s what the Almighty said; The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on EVERYTHING you Put your hand me to (Skill). The Lord your God will bless you in the land He’s giving you. You heard that right; the blessings of God won’t just come and add money to your account. But to what you put your hands to: Skill! When you acquire a skill that people are willing to pay for, then you’ll never be broke. So? When I discovered this, I went on and learned the Best high paying skill I can learn to earn money from my comfort, without going to a company, teaching in school, or doing any job that’ll be stressful. I learnt FREELANCE WRITING!!! Once I started in the game, I jumped from being someone who looks for money to one money is looking for. With my skill, I was able to get long-term clients that value my work. I was even rejecting jobs due to the plethora of work I had to handle. I’m a Medic who doesn’t need stress I moved from one always asking “God when?” to having something to put my hands on, for God To bless me. All that was possible with one skill; Freelance writing! After that, I learnt another unique thing; 2.I COULD EARN FROM DOING FEW HOURS OF WORK I learned secret strategies of getting clients that’ll always bring in jobs. Baal18:Although I didn’t use the series too well, Lamlad is actually a fantastic textbook to study for jamb. However, the goal shouldn’t be too much about textbooks per say but more about covering all that’s in the jamb syllabus. I used new school chemistry, had laser focus on likely questions while reading and everything was good to go. Here’s a complete guide on how to do well in your jamb: https://medicsdomain.com/how-to-score-above-300-in-jamb/ Concerning your second question, It varies. Unn post utme is essentially like a short form of jamb questions and your preparation materials for jamb will also be beneficial during the post utme. If you check here, you’d see how Unn post utme exams and also the cut off marks for the previous years: https://medicsdomain.com/unn-cut-off-mark-for-medicine-and-surgery/ Are you a medical aspirant of Unn? Dayoebe:Y’all will think once you go abroad, boom, money will fly and locate you. The fairy tales is becoming too much. Let’s be honest; life is hard not only in Nigeria but everywhere. You’ll still need hard work to succeed anywhere. |
Jashub:You can state your points and argue intelligently without canceling others. |
Jashub:You literally don’t know what you’re saying. Where’s the lack of exposure? Do you know a Nigerian Medic can train himself to standard levels?even better than others in top tier countries? If it was curriculum, I’d say medicine in Nigeria is one of the courses that cannot be affected by outdated curriculum. Why? They don’t depend on lecturers. Right from year two, medics would have gotten standard textbooks used globally like grays anatomy, Hutton physiology, and all. Then they’ll read the textbooks and also reading materials. You said lack of foundation? How do you mean? Is it the same Nigerian Medics that ace Plab, and usmle and go over to uK or Us to practice? Don’t think about that. The only thing limiting Nigerians in education is themselves and not necessarily the system. |
@op, both options are very good but it depends on what you truly want. If you go for Medicine in Nigeria, you stand a great chance of reaching your dreams(becoming a doctor), and you can also go to Russia or any other country to practice provided you know the pathway and prepare adequately. What more? If money is issue, you can apply for numerous scholarships in Nigeria, they’re many of them that give about 150-250k each year. Examples, Agbami, chevron, NlNg, total, spdc, shell, Jim ovia, and the likes. If you play your dices well, you can accumulate like 3 scholarships and live a comfortable life In the uni. Downsides*_ However, there’s a problem here. You’ve not yet gotten admission into medicine in Unn. I know how stuffs go on there, and I can say that medicine is very competitive bro. In my own time, the merit cut off mark was 327! Last year was 323! However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t get in with lower scores, provided you’re from the catchment states. But in a nutshell, unn can make you wait another year at home, no jokes, that’s if you don’t pass post-utme very well with high scores. Now to the other side, when you get in to Russia, you aren’t going to study your course of choice, hence getting back to your desired path will be a longer journey. But the gains are that, you get to stay off the shores of Nigeria(what everyone dreams of), and enjoy quality education |
HumanCalc:Well said chief. We should all learn to be better while communicating with people |
For our UNN brethren that’ll soon write the Post-UTME, it’ll be super helpful for you to know the previous cut off marks to set your mind on which score to target in the test. As we all know, you might have heard about folks who had high scores but weren’t admitted into medicine and surgery. And most of them go complaining and crying that Universities in Nigeria do cheat. While that might not be completely true, they fail to know the cut off mark the institution set. If you’re a UNN aspirant for medicine and surgery, you’ll find this post helpful. In the guide, we’ve simplified all you need to know about Unn cut off mark for medicine and surgery. If you got any questions, feel free to ask on the page. Good luck! https://medicsdomain.com/unn-cut-off-mark-for-medicine-and-surgery/

It was Freelance content writing then. I had a client who I do write articles for at a fee. But it was though my doom was planned. When I resumed one particular semester I started getting too many jobs, and yes, better clients who pay at higher rates. But I messed everything up. Not my fault though, the school workload was tiring, would finish struggling to learn in class, attend fellowships, meetings, and come back late at night very tired. However, I felt I could do something more. I missed the opportunities because I sourced for another worker to write for me. So I had a middleman under me. I didn’t do too well by reviewing and was sending the articles directly to client. He told me I was fired, because of the poor jobs. Well that period was fun sha. I was never hungry |
