A player you signed for 50m is an investement which is likely to yield profit if sold off. Just like it cost Dortmund to buy Haaland and Inter got Young on a free. Dortmund could make serious profit from Haaland before he covers the length of his contract. What will Inter make from Young?

Look at it in another way... Inter signed Hakimi for a fee and Young for free. Who has been more productive? Compare their productivity with their amortized cost.. Never mind that Inter made profit on Hakimi. My point is, preferring stagnant players because of low amortization cost would lead to committing financial suicide...

And lastly, Factor doesn't mean amortization

I understand your point, but you don't buy an old player like young and expect profit from sales. while it is true that it's cheaper short term to go for lower amortized fee, especially if you can't afford to pay transfer fees at the time, over time it may be more costly.
However one thing you are not factoring in is that transfer are mostly a gamble, Hakimi could have flopped and you would have categorized it financial suicide signing a player with one good season under his belt.

Lastly, i think Conte's strategy was best for inter's situation at the time.

Stop assuming things about people you know nothing about

If i understand "factor" to mean "amortize" you could be wrong, amortizing cost is actually a thing.
If you buy a player 50M and pay him 10M per year for 5 years, the amortized cost is 20M per year. Say you get a player on free transfer and agree to pay him 18M per year, his amortized cost is lower, so while he is actually receiving higher wages he is a cheaper option for the club.
