Which way is that sir?
Thanks for your response.

JMG12:
When you are currently employed and planning to pursue studies, obtaining a study leave letter from your employer is highly advisable. This letter serves as official documentation indicating that your employer is aware of and supportive of your decision to take leave to study. I strongly recommend against applying for your studies without obtaining a study leave letter from your current employer. It also demonstrates your home tie, proof that you will not abscond. There is a way to go about that if you don't want to inform your office

In as much as a leave letter is good and will help your application. I see no reason why you cannot get a study permit.
Just strengthen other areas of your application. Ensure you use your salary account, pay slips, ID, Employment letter, promotion letter and so on.

And with God on your side it shall be for you a testimony.

Well done guys for your tireless effort.

I'm a civil servant who got admission against Fall 2024 for a year program.
The Truth is that I don't want to apply for study leave because my job doesn't require going to the office much except during our work season which is like every 3 years. Meaning it's possible to stay in a year and visit office twice or thrice.
So I can run the school conveniently without any impact on my job.

Can I apply for visa without leave letter and introduction letter? Will it raise a concern for the VO?

Please guide me. Thanks

As a self sponsored applicant, I think you will need to have the balance of 5500 tuition, 10k*2 living expenses misc. 4k
Total is 29500 roughly
Multiply by the current exchange rate, you will discover that you need more than 15m.

If I were you, I will add more money in naira. The tuition deposit is okay.

Let our gurus guide you through.
I'm so sorry about your refusal.

The next one will be a positive decision in Jesus name amen

Good evening gurus in the house, my visa was refused due to insufficient fund, that I won't return to my home country.

My POF was 15m.
Please I need your advice, because am thinking of adding 2kCad to my school fees to make it 20kCad. Then increase my POF to 18.5m. then reapply.
Please your advice

Okay,It's PPR alert guys!!! So in May 3rd 2023,my first visa application was refused,I used an agent. So in June 2023,part 22 of this thread,I came here to get ways to tackle the V.Os concern and so many people responded, but I specifically thank Zubireta and Francophone who I personally contacted and they gave me advice on how to tackle it. I also used help from people outside this forum and submitted again Sept 22nd 2023..... Been waiting since then, and bout an hour ago, Boom!! I sincerely want to appreciate Zubireta, francophone n all who gave me suggestions on that day,may God bless you big for me. I did it myself this time, wrote my SOP from what I was told to do and from Segun(God bless you bro) and PRAYED tirelessly for 2months. Omo!!! God is faithful Frfr. I'll be here to answer any questions you would want me to answer to assist with ur application by God's grace. My resumption is January. To all waiting for PPR,I pray yours come very very soon. Omo!! I use 19m for family of 3 and out of the 15k cad school fees have paid 10k cad
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by emmyoddy: 9:35pm On Nov 28, 2023
How did you arrive at the 50m after he has already paid part of the tuition fee and it's a year program.

MatrixReloaded:

You have to show 10k as living expense, additional 4k for any accompanied family member.
4*3=12k +10k =22k CAD living expense
5k balance
Total = 27k cad.
Based on oanda rate you will have 18m total.
Left with 1m equivalent to 1450 Cad.
Your transport and miscellaneous for the whole period would reduce the totL funds pushing either you are ur spouse to work in other to survive.
You need about 50m naira to scale through, you people need to stop messing up application with unprepareness of finance. Travel alone and secure spot for family members..

I booked upfront medical yesterday and I didn't put anything there on both because I don't have them.

Just read the terms and conditions and click on continue.
Also check because it could be network issue.

I had to change my network yesterday when I wasn't progressing.

All the best

Thanks so much sir. I sincerely appreciate your response 🙏🙏🙏

Please how do I know if the cooperative meets the requirements?
It's actually registered.

Frankrobbn1:

Yes, you can definitely use funds in your cooperative account as part of your proof of funds. It's great that you're planning to attach the statement of account from your cooperative account along with your other bank account statements from a commercial bank. Including multiple sources of funds can strengthen your application. Just make sure that the cooperative account meets the requirements set by the immigration authorities. Good luck with your application!

It will end in praise

ALHAMDULLILAH!!! ALHAMDULLILAH!!! ALHAMDULLILAH!!! I got my PPR.

This journey definitely did not start today, it began way back in 2017 and I'm grateful it ended with a good note. As you can see from the image i attached below, it started way back in 2017, but i knew there was no way in hell i could raise the money for Canada at that time.

So I had to make up my mind and develop my tech skill for Two hard years while working at a very terrible company, mehn those were trying times. Just like they say "Tough times never last, but tough people do", God came through for me and I got a contract job with a foreign company and the pay was really good, so good I kinda forgot about my initial japa plans and as the Almighty would have it, My contract with the foreign company came to an end.

Sadness engulfed me but I had to pick myself up and started applying until I got a local company, but to be honest, after assessing my salary and our economy, I knew I had to go back to my original plan which was now possible thanks to my frugal lifestyle LOL, I didn't even own a car except for land properties sha.

But this my Application was filled with tension, I Mistakenly did not upload my Two passport photograph, Application for study permit made outside of Canada and Family Information, If not for my brother that was just assuring me that it will end in success LOL, I almost gave up and thought of cancelling my application, but at the end, it did end with success and also shout out to @bullstriker who also assured that it was not really a big deal. Big thanks to @zubizareta and others, without your guidances a lot of us would really be lost, may the Almighty bless you guys, Amin.

The province you are matters a lot in terms of cost of living and jobs. Toronto is very competitive and expensive.

Canada is VERY LARGE so you can't use your experience in Toronto to capture the whole of Canada and make conclusion.

My prayers 🙏

Wsx2:
How are you guys doing, it’s part 23 already. I haven’t been here since April , fast forward I am keeping my hope alive here in canada after a year plus. This was my last conversation here when buchito1 shared his own experience in April part 22, it’s been very hard for me here but by God grace, I am surviving. I will not discourage anyone. I want people to come and experience things here themselves.

buchito1:
Hey guys! Been soo long here! I really cannot remember how long it has being.

Today 2nd April 2033 makes it exactly 1 year of me been in Canada. And all I can say is that it's only been God, support and encouragement from my family back home and the family I already created here in Canada. How I have been surviving? I don't know! It's only God!

Cause without him, I wouldn't be writing this epistle right here.

The struggle has been hard, crazy, intense, lots to learn, combining working and going to school (even the jobs ain't easy to come by). God has been faithful to me, brought good people around me (Nigerians) because really, good people are hard to find here. Over here, nobody has time for you, nobody really cares about you. Everybody's trying to survive, everyone's almost lost in the struggle. That friend wey you think say na your bestie, ask am for $50 and watch as e go tell you him life history come run leave you in seconds.

Guys don't believe anyone who tells you Canada is all bed of roses! It is a fat lie!!! Canada is not for the faint hearted!!! Nothing is easy to get here, you must work like a donkey and follow due process to get anything you want.

When I was in Nigeria, I have never worked like the way I do here! Even the school wey them dey tell us that year say e easy pass primary school, I can categorically tell you that our education at home is decades away from what they're doing here. The education system here can make you mad! Most especially if you don't make enquiries and also ask questions (follow who know road) you'd be lost! I almost lost it in my first semester, till I began to ask questions.

For the work aspect, guys, don't mind those nonsense people keep saying, say "work full Canada", Zero your mind you might not do anything here for months. Even if you see something doing, you'd do everything you've never done in your life. There's no Job I've not done in this country, I think the only Job I haven't done is to wash dead body, which I'll never do. ☠️

Be prepared to be humbled. Jobs you feel you could never ever do in Nigeria, be prepared to do them here, unless you came into the country with a sh*t pile of cash, but if you're like us, wey tell IRCC say we get 100K USD for the account 😂 then you have to be prepared to do all sort of things just to survive.

I know lots of people who haven't done anything in more than 5 months here. Living with their Naira's from Nigeria. Like I said, don't be deceived by what you see on the Internet on how excess jobs in Canada. The good jobs here, nobody's ready to leave it, especially those Indians (I call them Fulani Herdsmen) those Herdsmen are everywhere like flies! Every nook and cranny, them dey, and trust me, na them dey get update pass, but never trust them, they'll boot you off when they have the chance!

For the weather aspect, I live in British Columbia. It's fair to say it's the warmest province in the whole of Canada. But when I mean warm don't think Nigerian warm or South African warm. Warm in the sense that were currently on 3°C and during extreme weather conditions it could get to like - 14°C. Don't forget freezing point for your freezer na 0°C grin so literally, we live inside freezer.
I stayed in Toronto for about 4 months and the weather is way more extreme than British Columbia. Good thing is for those coming in this April, the weather has gotten better, but is still gonna be so cold for newcomers. So please come prepared with good winter dresses.

Another thing is this, guys don't do the mistake of coming to Canada without any $$$, abeg come with something to support yourself for sometime, e dey very important. You don't wanna come here and start begging, you need funds to survive as a first timer. It's extremely important.

Mehn, it's being a journey for me here, trust me, so many ups and downs, if I tell people, them go tell me say better days dey come... Like this, I still dey find that better days oh! 😭 But God dey..

Thanks to SEUN for this platform! Without Nairaland, my journey to Canada wouldn't be possible. I also thank all the good people who assisted me during my process e no easy! Lianna, lekiboeboe, I can't remember the rest... Y'all are the real OGs!
By the grace of God, it'll rain PPR for everybody here! This thread 22 is gonna be your thread of testimonies! If you believe say a big AMEN!!!
Those refused, please don't give up! You know what you want, restrategise and hit them again! Trust me, you're gonna get it right this TIME! Na who give up fu*k up! I'm rooting for you! kiss

If you're coming to UCW or Vancouver and need information on anything kindly reach out to me, I'd do my best in explaining everything and anything to you.

Thanks for reading my long story guys. Have a lovely night rest ❤️

My brother the truth hurts and you just nailed it. I was expressing the same thing in the express entry thread and someone who I am sure has never travelled kept saying Bla bla bla
That I am trying to discourage people from coming .

I am in Toronto eglinton area and With what I have seen here in canada I am disappointed. This is not what I expect. There are centennial college students who has been here for 5 months looking for just common menial jobs and they can’t find any. Anyone that have high hope coming here will regret it. It will take several years to get things together in canada.

Not in all the province na. Some province have easy PR pathways

Nbv1:

You are among Nigerians who hate the truth, you only believe in your pastor. When you get here like most others do , you will not come back to this forum again.many Nigerian students who got here will never come back to this forum to share their experiences. One is still busy looking for common menial jobs for the past 3 months. They won’t have time to come here anymore! Not in all cases.

Sometimes they request for an updated statement from you.

Sometimes they call to verify the authenticity of the statement.
