This is a great write up. Thumbs up Man. I would certainly be grateful if you can volunteer to see all my Form Filling in my Study Permit Application before I submit it. Regards, berexio1: Good to be back here once in a while to read comments. Even though I needed not to go through every comment here since the last time I checked, I still made efforts to sieve through some contributions here. I just felt I might still get some useful info and update on what I already know or more likely to see if there is this one question or questions that were left unanswered that I needed to help with.
I will quickly drop 5 steps to getting your admission and visa approved
1.Needless to say, your first ingredient for success is information. If you don't know how to get informed and stay informed, you won't make much progress trying to land that admissions or visa talkless of being successful when you eventually get into Canada.SO stay on nairaland, match information with information, screen every info cos you won't always get them right here also. For eg. I had sleepless nights during my information gathering stages here on nairaland, I literally read through all the parts. I was looking for something relevant in the midst of several irrelevant discussions. And for those who digress, please try to stay within track for someone like me who probably is doing what I did. I matched all info with what i read on CIC site, argued with close friends, visited some visa agents to know if they truly do anything different. i found out they dont because I ended up giving them some more information that they weren't even aware of;some of which I got from here.
2. Package smartly: I didn't say you should lie but if your truth cannot be substantiated. It is not worth it. Leave it out.Be able to backup whatever you claim. For Eg. I have a friend of mine who graduated with a 2.1 and applied to the same school-University of Waterloo. He quoted he had a masters from unilag but didn't finish at unilag and couldn't get his certificate nor transcript. Even though he submitted his undergrad degree cert and was issued conditional admissions, he didn't get the unconditional admission finally because he couldn't supply the Unilag masters transcript. He lost out on the school because once you submit your application you cannot edit it anymore and it will remain in their file forever or maybe till their system crash..lol..So Apply "What ifs" and make alternatives for improvements.
3. Be consistent: If you want to be a liar, you better make it your truth. Consistency pays, your first application says you were unemployed, the second application says you were employed some months back before the first application. Third application says you will like to get a job after you finish studies in canada and fourth says you will return home to better your country. You can as well enrol on a charity donation to CIC and forget about applying and wasting paper. lol. These guys can put 2 and 2 together and know your purpose of wanting to leave your country.
4. Be original: I see people copy formats and use. The format should only be a guide. You need to touch that creative part of you and bring it to life. You can do a very appealing application. Get the juices, get the seasonings, water the meat, simmer a bit and the taste will be just great!
5. Lastly, give back. Help people answer questions or solve their problems. You achieve 2 things by doing this. You become better at what you do and you affect the life you helped. You open doors for yourself. I have told you how I helped people package their applications for free while I was still about to apply and they got their visas. Some replicated with voluntary money gifts. It feels so great knowing you contributed towards the success of others.
Cheers! And stay tuned for more. Berexio1 |

Please does this question refer to NYSC in Study permit form;
4a. Did you serve in any military, militia, or in defence unit or serve in a security organization or police force(including non obligatory national service or reserve or volunteer units)
if yes, should i fill in NYSC or is the answer No? |

@bjmme, Thank you. Kindly clarify if you have a valid way i can certify that my wife will be fine at home while i am away? Also, what are the application forms to be filled that are required for this Study permit? bjmme: Looking at it,you have a wife and to be sincere 7m is more than enough for you to pursue the course, but seriously you need to show how your wife be fine back home,if she is working you need to show that she can fend for herself. since you are sponsoring urself swear an affidavit, and everybody here should know that you wont be there when ur application will be reviewed,so docs submitted is what represent you in front of the VO,so lay ur hands on every docs connected to ur application, your course is fine with your academic background. |

@hayqinsbFX and other experience uncles and sisters, I need your clarification to this my below submission. Plssssssss treat as yours EmmySaints: I need help in my September 2016 application.
I am sponsoring myself. I have being able to put N7m and the school fees is about $14,500k CAD for one year but the partial payment that I am expected to pay is $8,200k CAD (N1.35m). If I pay that partial fee, I will have about N5.6M left in the account. please my dear experts is that enough for me to submit in my SOA?
I am married but my wife will be left in Nigeria while am away in Canada. what is your take on this and what is the best reason to give the embassy?
Another issue is this, I initially got admission in Lambton College for a two years PGD and also got a one year course in DURHAM College for a course that is a Graduate Certificate. I have a 6 years experience in I.T with a bachelors degree. I had to take take the option of the DURHAM College that has a specialize course in I.T(Information Systems Security) for one year. Please is my decision right on this course and college option?
Also do I need to swear affidavit for support or sponsor since I am sponsoring myself?
Is police certificate clearance a must
Please I need someone to break down this answers. I dont want to be referred elsewhere. Please experience Nairanders, help me |

Although I didnt eventually do it because I needed to go somewhere for my official work. bjmme: not yet confirmed, but based on the last treads i had on getting it, i was informed it should not be more than that amt,but i was advised not to go then because that is not the next step for me,that getting it wont take much time than i thought of.,but very soon i will go for it |

Please how did you sort out your Form A application. Because I just went to Diamond Bank to apply but they told me that CBN is yet to advice them on Form A. I really need to know. if possible you can also tell me the correct bank that can help me as fast as possible. tosyn123: I think you should follow up with them, you should know if it's been processed in a week, because first bank head office wasted 3weeks on my form A processing. Apparently the lady there just started learning the process. But thank God I listened to my husband saying it's not about running to head office but going to a branch where you have a one on one relationship. I sorted my form A in a Diamond branch and I got my telex copy this week. |
