Rooney has been plagued by Metatarsal injuries in the past, Owen Hargreaves has been out since God knows when, Wes Brown has been injured since.

Last season Owen Hargreaves didnt kick a ball, Wes Brown was out for 90% ot the games, Ronaldo missed the begining of the season, Rooney  too missed some weeks. These are all first team players That started United's biggest match of the decade in Moscow
