kettykin: I can understand when the North frets about the Break up of Nigeria , but i can not understand the case of Yorubas, these people have one of the Largest Coastal Boundaries with the Sea , they are not land locked , they have oil and gas deposit in Ondo state and Bitumen deposit in Osun ,Ogun and Ondo. They have a population of more than 40 million people bigger than 90% of all african countries , in fact bigger than all the other western African countries and some European countries. The Yorubas have 2 of the Largest Cities in Africa lagos and Ibadan and a fairly large number of educated populace including a nobel laureate, which most African Countries don't posses, they have enterprenuers who are listed in Forbes as among the top richest fellows in the world which most independent African countries don't have, they have a large arable land and cash crops like cocoa which earns forex.
But why these people would rather sink and die in Nigeria is what i still can not understand or comprehend , not only are they prepared to die and sink in Nigeria , they are prepared to spend the last drop of their blood to prevent less interested even land locked people from leaving the sinking ship.
Why would a group of people be more interested in being second class citizens in a country where they are now Marginalized and killed by fulani herdsmen than rather opt out and be on their own
