Christianity Etc › Re: Question: Did Jesus Read The Bible? by Empiree:
Gospel Of Barnabas
Page 17, Chapter 17

17. In this chapter is clearly perceived the unbelief of Christians, and the true faith of Mumin(Muslims).

When Jesus had said this, Philip answered: 'We are content to serve God, but we desire, however, to know God. For Isaiah the prophet said: "Verily thou art a hidden God," and God said to Moses his servant: "I am that which I am."

Jesus answered: 'Philip, God is a good without which there is naught good; God is a being without which there is naught that is; God is a life without which there is naught that liveth; so great that he filleth all and is everywhere. He alone hath no equal. He hath had no beginning, nor will he ever have an end, but to everything hath he given a beginning and to everything shall he give an end. He hath no father nor mother; he hath no sons, nor brethren, nor companions. And because God hath no body, therefore he eateth not, sleepeth not, dieth not, walketh not, moveth not, but abideth eternally without human similitude, for that he is incorporeal, uncompounded, immaterial, of the most simple substance. He is so good that he loveth goodness only; he is so just that when he punisheth or pardoneth it cannot be gainsaid. In short, I say unto thee, Philip, that here on earth thou canst not see him nor know him perfectly; but in his kingdom thou shalt see him for ever: wherein consisteth all our happiness and glory.'

Philip answered: 'Master, what sayest thou? It is surely written in Isaiah that God is our father; how, then, hath he no sons?'

Jesus answered: 'There are written in the prophets many parables, wherefore thou oughtest not to attend to the letter, but to the sense. For all the prophets, that are one hundred and forty-four thousand, whom God hath sent into the world, have spoken darkly. But after me shall come the Splendour of all the prophets and holy ones, and shall shed light upon the darkness of all that the prophets have said, because he is the messenger of God.'(<-prophet Muhammad is referenced here...so clear). And having said this, Jesus sighed and said: 'Have mercy on Israel, O Lord God and look with pity upon Abraham and upon his seed, in order that they may serve thee with truth of heart.

His disciples answered: 'So be it, O Lord our God!'

Jesus said: 'Verily I say unto you, the scribes and doctors have made void the law of God with their false prophecies, contrary to the prophecies of the true prophets of God: Wherefore God is wroth with the house of Israel and with this faithless generation.' His disciples wept at these words, and said: 'Have mercy, O God, have mercy upon the temple and upon the holy city, and give it not into contempt of the nations that they despise not thy holy covenant.' Jesus answered: 'So be it, Lord God of our fathers.'

Read the above^ very well. Jesus clearly predicted distortion of his message and law. There are at least forty(40) different Bibles. Most contradict one another. Some Bible are missing verses and chapters. They even have "kiddie Bible", "Skate Bible", "Women Bible", "Amplified Bible". Very ridiculous!

Ur quran never said this why do u liehuh Show us "what or who the three of the quran is/are".....and no one says "meta lokan baba"....are u dis ignorant? and am nt defending that against the op....wen did u become disenfranchised from the discussionhuh desperation?!
okay, sounds like your brain can't possibly comprehemd anything here. first, as far as i am concerned, you believe in "trinity". You can twist that all you want. You already defended it earlier. This is what you said to op"

dejilg:
well the Word "Bible" isn't in the Bible, and are u so ignorant that truths doesn't necessarily have to be expressed in single words or sentenceshuh? U said God is never described as "three in one", ok, show where God is described as "one in one"huh The word Trinity is used to sum up a "divine truth" of God's nature, just as the word Bible is used to refer to "His written word to us"...pls do a lil more thinking before u type "empty words" as these
You also said

Deut 6:4
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."

shows that our Human nature can't be compared to God's, that's why Trinitarians do not seek to claim to fully grasp God's nature and Wisdom, but it seems that these "anti-Trinitarian" groups wud know all of God (by using d human nature, hence God is no more dan us in a sense)... I believe many of the don't even know wat the doctrine of Trinity teaches, but dey just attack it
^confused grin

dejilg:
from this ur reply I now know dat u don't even know wat Trinitarianism is about. If u dnt know the difference between "a person" and "a human being", den how can u grasp it wen the trinity uses the words "Person" and "Being" to summarize the so so Scriptural doctrine of the ONE Being of God shared by three co equal, eternal and powerful Persons?
Pls again stop parading ur ignorance, Trinity doesn't equate the Persons of Jesus to be that of the Father or the HolySpirit...but they are the ONE BEING of God...hence the humiliation of Christ made Him to have the Father as His Head!!! doesn't make him less deity as u r nt a lesser human to the president of the country!!!
Now, watch this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lwRTki1js0

I will repeat it, Trinitarians show that God's nature is very different from the human nature of (1 being, 1 person)....but I guess all dis "copy and paste" dude wud just limit their own god(s)..."God must be 1 being, 1 person --- sounds more like a human to me"
Here is another clip showing christians not really sure what they believe

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grDPJmb3gAs

honestly, reading through your thread, you sound confused. You have no idea what you believe. humble yourself and learn. You sound very annoying.

so since they don't believe in it, does it make it wrong...well they are free to believe it or not...let's not delve into irrelevances!!!
Now u insinuated I don't make any sense cos I believe in Trinity because these ur so called "Christians" don't, do they make sense when they believe in the atonement? or believe in Paul's writings? or that Jesus is the Son of Godhuh
weiting concern me?....whether you or them believe in Paul, "trinity", "son of god" and all that nonsense....the whole thing Quran against them altogether. You all make no sense. I will teach you your bible instead. I will teach you who Jesus truly is not your wack doctrine
Christianity Etc › Re: 1 John 5:7 Is A Pure Religious Fabrication !!! by Empiree: 12:37am On Mar 07, 2015
^DOTN GET IT TWISTED. There is nothing like "trinity" in the Qur'an. Qur'an is only saying to you (christians) to desist from saying such thing. Don't some christians say such thing? "meta lokan baba" i"e god-the father, god-the son and god-the holy spirit?. Are you now lying?. Isn't what you defended against op?. are u backing out now?

Yes, thanks for pointing that out...we can take dem to d scriptures to show them, but I wonder why u got involved at first and now backing out

and don't let us get into the missing chapters, verses eaten by goats and those lost wen the islamic warriors who recited the died in war...
Please answer the Question!!!
honestly, you sound very silly now. There is nothing to argue here. This is very simple. If you believe there is a Quran missing verses or chapters somewhere different from what we have both in arabic and english translation, please bring it forward. If you can't then you need to shut up.

But i can provide you up to at least 30 different Bibles with missing chapters, verses, contradictions, blasphemies etc. Please dont ask me silly questions about Quran if you can not present evidence. Thank you

I really laff at ur eisegesis and how u shout "Paganism" even wen we have told u to stop misrepresenting the Christian faith...why do muslims set up "strawman argument"?...haven't I told u severally to stop saying we worship "3 gods"...? If u disagree abt ur ignorance on the "Trinity"...den define it according to ur undastnding here and let's see!!!
Are you blind...?you didnt see it in my post?. Here it's again in Arabic

The Arabic word:ثَلَـٰثَةٌ which means Three (3). So Qur'an is telling you to desist from saying 3 i:e in reference to you who say "three people bear witness" i:e God, Holy spirit, Jesus joined and became One. That's polytheism.
And what concerns me with your nonsense doctrine. You the one that believe and defended it against op. So take me out of it.

The song of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS)

My meal is fasting,

My standard is awe of Allah.

My clothing is of simple wool,

My prayer in winter is at suns rise.

My lamp is moonlight,

My steed is my legs.

My meal is whatever the earth gives me.

I lay down to sleep at night and have nothing,

I awake in the morning and have nothing, yet there is no one richer than I.

It was written in the original Gospel:

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) said:
Seek what you do not Know only after you
have put into practice what you do Know.

The disciples of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) came to him and asked;
"O spirit of Allah, is there anyone else like you alive in our time?"
He replied: "Yes indeed, Whoever has the dhikr of Allah in his heart,
and is silent in thought, and who learns from what is given,
surely that one is like me."

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS), asked his people:
"Where do you find a plant growing?"
They replied: "In the dust of the earth."
He said: "By Al Haqq, I will tell you,
Marifat (Gnosis) does not grow except in a heart
that is like the dust of the earth."

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS), was walking with his companions
when they passed a dead dog by the side of the road.
His companions said: "What can be worse than the corruption of the unclean
dog!"
And Jesus replied: "His teeth, how brightly they shine."

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) met a man and asked him what his profession was.
The man replied: "I worship Allah."
Isa (AS) then asked: 'Who feeds and clothes you while you worship?"
"My brother." The man replied.
Isa (AS) said: "Your brother's worship is better than your own."

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) met three people while traveling,
They were pale and thin with fasting.
He asked them:
"What has caused this state in you?"
They said:
"Fear of the punishment of Allah"
Isa (AS) replied:
"Allah has taken it upon Himself to lessen your fear."
He continued on a ways and came across three more
who were pale and thin with fasting, even more than the last.
He asked them:
"What has caused this state in you?"
They answered:
"Desire for Allah's rewards"
Isa (AS) said: "Allah has taken it upon Himself
to give you what you long for."
Once again in his travels Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) came across yet another three
who were pale and thin with fasting.
Their faces shone as if they were lit from within.
so he asked them: "What is the cause of your state?"
They answered: "We love Allah, the Mighty, the Glorious."
Whereupon he replied: "You are the nearest, and nearer still!"

The companions of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) said to him:
"Look at this temple, is it not beautiful?"
Isa (AS) replied: 'My people,
by al Haqq I tell you,
Allah does not leave from this temple standing
except to destroy it by the sins of it's inhabitants.
Surely, Allah does not care about gold and silver,
He does not care about this building that you admire so.
What Allah, the Most High loves are good hearts.
Allah inhabits the heart that remembers Him and He desolates
the heart that does not."

"Isa ibn Mariyam (AS),
passed by a group of men who shouted evil things at him.
In return Isa (AS) spoke to them with kindness.
His companions asked:
"Why did you reply to these men with kindness when they spoke evil to you?"
Isa (AS) replied: 'Everyone spends from the coin he has."

In the mosque right now and chilling. The Imam is telling us about life in the grave, some of the punishments it entails before resurrection. The question that keeps going through my mind is what of those that doesn't have grave? those hunters that got eaten by wild animals, those that were cremated. Then I remembered when government wanted to extend one of the streets in my area, when they told relatives of the owner of graves along the streets to exhume the graves because they don't want to build roads on graves. We saw people opening up graves and bringing out bones, the question now is considering the fact that most of the people buried in these graves are idol worshipers, are these bones begin punished in their respective graves?
Are you muslim?

You playing the wrong game. A lady can choose whoever she wants to marry, it's her right.
certainly.

That means she can choose to not marry a man who is planning to have more wives or is open to having more then one wife.
how would you know he's "planing" to marry another wife when he's just getting married for the first time?

If he lies about his intentions before marriage and decides to marry another women down the line then she can and in my opinion should reconsider her marriage.
I really dont think the intention is always there in the beginning cuz he loves his wife and wouldn't be thinking of other woman at the moment

The marriage was based on a lie, he was greedy and wanted to have his cake and eat it too. I got no respect for such men.
This is wrong notion. Circumstance could arise. I will never make such promise knowing Allah knows best what lies ahead. It doesnt mean he's a liar. Listen, dont do that to your husband. Dont ask him if he is going to marry another woman. You may as well remind him easily by asking when he's not even thinking of it.

Why would we have to persuade him after marriage when we can choose what kind of marriage we want before saying "I do". A lady with a working brain will check how he stands in these matters before hand. And make it clear that she will not accept it if he change his mind down the road.

As justfollowit brilliantly said, why leave to comfort of your father's house to be "one of Ahmeds 4 wives"

It makes no sense! Unless your really really poor and Ahmed is a oil sheikh undecided
okay, this is my opinion here. Show me evidence from qur'an that islam recognizes such "agreement" be made before marriage IF woman doesn't want 2nd wife ?

The only Muslim that seemed to be upset outright was a brother named Mrola. Not sure if i get his name right. Anyways, the brother was cautioned. But this crazy lady didn't stop. Nor did we refute rubbish she typed outright until we noticed she was getting much attention from fellow xtians, mostly bigots. We began refuting her. Hmm... That was a long read. I find the writer questionable anyway. Why would anyone live for decades among people of shared faith (Muslims in this case, including his own family) and claim that everyone (or most) of them are bad natured? Isn't it funny how he claimed that the first time he ever experienced hospitality was in Australia or so, when an old couple offered him food for free, in a clean environment. Meaning that nobody was ever that nice to him for decades in his home country? And he didn't see clean environments back home? A family that is comfortable enough to send him for schooling abroad? I would even doubt the integrity of anyone who claims that people of different faith are bad. In every religion and even among atheists, you find good and bad people. I don't know why some individuals think that they MUST bash those who hold contrary opinions just to make theirs look good. He claims that he's a smart thinker but he quotes the Quran in a less than smart way. The issue of people twisting Quran verses intentionally to denigrate Islam (or ignorantly misinterpreting them) is now boring but not outdated. Ifeann, aka parisbookaddict and some others do it so well on NL. I posted about 3 comments to point out to ignorant readers who might fall for it here

https://www.nairaland.com/9jaforlife/posts

Anyway, you said you're an ex-Muslim and implied that you're neither a Christian nor an atheist. That makes you a theist, a believer that God exists. Is it possible to be a theist, and yet, not belong to any religion? Just curious, no offence intended. Religion is so diversified these days that it's almost confusing
