Ok, both are still irrigation methods. The diff is that one is automated and the other is manual.
To your question, there is no specific irrigation regimen for crops. There are lots of things or factors you need to consider...
* Season. Even in dry season, we still have cold-dry season and hot-dry season. In cold dry, you don't water heavily like in hot-dry period.
2. Ability to read and de-code the body language of your crops. Sometimes, the expression on the faces of your crops will tell you wether to wet daily or skip one or two days.
3. For okra (WRT my variety) , the rate of watering should reduce after 4 weeks due to formation of "canopy" by the leaves/branches of the crop thereby help in minimizing soil evaporation.
4. Finally, it's not a crime to use manual irrigation, it's better than folding arms and doing nothing. If u are planting, ensure to plant your seed inside a shallow pit on your ridge/heaps as in Mr okoro.Emeka style (visit his cucumber thread for details). The pits wl help to conserve/retain water for your crops.
In conclusion, I normal tell by customers this...if you don't have insecticides and fungicides in place, don't drop seed on the ground. Our efforts shall not be in vain.

Yea, prices of inputs have skyrocketed but at the same time, for those who know their onions, the prices of many farm outputs( from cassava, yam, maize, cocoyam, cocoa , tomato okra, to leafy veggies) too are really encouraging. One of the few categories of people who do not feel the impact of the hardship currently ravaging the land is the farmers . A kg of cocoa sold between 3k and 4k this year, imagine a farmer with with just 2tons(2,000kg) of cocoa, you can do the maths. Agric is the new crude oyel. Do agric, it pays.

this is the wrong time to do p2p with Nigerian banks, I don't do important transaction with anyone using our local banks nowadays when i know how bad their network is currently. Its either opay or palmpay or monie point accounts else you might have to wait days to complete the transaction because of delayed alerts

Guys please I'm trading on p2p with a crypto seller. I paid into his access bank account since 7pm on friday till now I haven't gotten any coin from him. The only reply I got around 8pm from him was that he hasn't seen the money. Now I'm going through his feedbacks and the negative reviews say he delays releasing crypto for upto 5 to 24hrs for some people, some are cursing him saying he ripped them, please what should I do next? Having poor image display is one thing, not displaying certain colours at all doesn't make any sense. What am I supposed to do with this? From the reviews it seems it was made for school use... even though

Most cheap chromebooks have poor colours because manufacturers use poor display panels to keep the cost down. I have used 3 chromebooks: Samsung Chromebook 4, Acer Chromebook 315 and Acer Chromebook Spin 713. The Samsung and Acer 315 displays have washed out colours while the Spin 713, a premium chromebook, had a super display with about 100% sRGB coverage.

Hi everyone, please my Acer chromebook 315 doesn't display full colour images. There are two of them and they both have the same display issue. They are brand new so I'm guessing it's from their setting but I'm not sure.
