38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

THE MESSAGE:

Jesus' teaching in Luke 6:38-45 highlights an essential truth: The condition of our hearts determines the quality of our words, actions, and relationships. The Lord calls us to live with generosity, discernment, and integrity. He also reminds us that what we give - whether kindness, judgment, or forgiveness - will return to us in full measure. In verses 43-45, Jesus uses the illustration of trees and their fruits to explain this. A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. Similarly, our hearts are like trees, and our words and actions are the fruit. If our hearts are filled with love, peace, and gratitude, our lives will reflect those virtues. But if envy, bitterness, or pride reside within, they will overflow into our speech and behaviour.

This passage challenges us to examine what we store in our hearts. Are we cultivating the Word of God, or are we harbouring negativity and sin? The mouth speaks what the heart treasures. To bear good fruit, we must draw close to Christ daily, allowing His Spirit to ceanse, transform, and fill us.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to guard my heart and fill it with Your truth. May my life and words reflect Your goodness and love. Amen.

Why do we tell ourselves to manage a situation that it's already worst...
Same happened to me recently on my way to orile from onipanu, not up to 20 minutes In the bus I started hearing a sharp sound of an iron under the vehicle scratching the ground as we got to Alaka, the driver stopped and adjusted the iron not up to costain the iron pulled out, the conductor dropped it inside the vehicle, we picked some passengers at costain, as we got to Nigerian brewery the second iron pulled out also, I never knew what that iron was protecting underneath the vehicle, both driver and conductor hid the info from the passengers, not until the man that entered from costain refused and wanted to see what it was bot the driver and conductor challenged him and told him is nothing hence we can manage it to orile, when the man got down he looked underneath and saw that the two iron meant to protect the fuel tank is gone, he told us he's a mechanic and we can't manage the situation immediately I hear that I asked the other passenger close to me to allow me come down and take the next bus, he refused and told me we can manage it, imagine everyone in the vehicle was sitting tight as if nothing is happening.
As I got down they immediately followed me both women and kids. Not up to a minute I got down behold the tank as started leaking fuel immediately. And could be more disastrous we we all agreed to manage it and if I haven't taken that step to alight the vehicle.


Let such mentality not happen to us. Amen

THE MESSAGE:

The Kingdom of heaven belongs to those whose lives are ruled by the Spirit of God. In the Kingdom of God, there are basic rules which serve as guide to the children of the Most High. In today's text, we are told these rules as follows:
a) Be not rich in evil.
b) Be not satisfied in error.
c) Do not rejoice when all men speak well of you.
d) Love your enemies, bless and curse not, give to the undeserving one without expecting a return.

Be merciful always, judging not, condemning not, always forgiving. If you must be a true and free citizen of the Kingdom then, make Romans 12 your daily focus and guide. Remember, those who keep the rules of a society reap the rights and privileges of the realm.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be obedient to the rules of the Kingdom, and let Your will be mine. Amen.

THE MESSAGE:

St. Luke captures the beatitudes (i. e. pronouncement of supreme blessings), in our text today. These are the blessings that follow those who put their total trust in God. For the poor in spirit, theirs is the kingdom of God. To those who now hunger, God shall fill them with good things, and for the weeping, though it endures for a night, joy and laughter shall surely come forth in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

Beloved, have you been hated? Are you till now hated, looked down on, mocked and disowned? Listen to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ for you now: “Rejoice and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven” (verse 23). As we go through this year's Lenten Season, may we be reassured of God's never-failing promises and presence. You are blessed amidst all odds.

THE MESSAGE:

A disciple is a follower of the Master, and adherence to this faith is discipleship. Christians are disciples of Jesus and are required to adhere to the Christian faith. The costs of discipleship are obedience (John 14:15), faithfulness (John 15:, perseverance (John 8:31), love (John 13:35), humility (Matthew 10:24,25), surrendering all (Luke 14:26,33), and bearing the Cross (Matthew 16:25).

Beloved, discipleship is not without due rewards. These include:acknowledgement by Christ (Matthew 12:49,50), enlightenment by Christ (John 8:12), guidance by the Spirit (John 16:13) and being honoured by the Father (John 12:26). As we faithfully follow Him, may the Spirit of God open our eyes to know Him as “the Christ of God” (Luke 9:20). Amen.

17 He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon,
18 who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured,
19 and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.

THE MESSAGE:

An apostle refers to a messenger or one who is trained and sent out. In our text today, Jesus spent the whole night in prayer to God and afterwards, proceeded to choose His twelve disciples whom He named apostles. Taking out quality time in prayer by a child of God before taking vital decisions is critical. The Church of God must always spend time praying before choosing its ministers and leaders. Any decision without prayers to God often leads to terrible errors.

Again, believers must understand that we are called and commissioned Apostles. Our divine duties include to: Preach the Gospel (Matthew 28:19,20), witness Christ's resurrection (Acts 1:22, 10:40-42), write messages (Ephesians 3:5), perform miracles (Matthew 10:18), etc.
At the end of our assignments as Apostles of Christ, we shall give account of our services to God (Hebrew 13:17).

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for calling me to be an Apostle after Your heart. Grant me the grace such that Your will shall be my will. Amen.

TOPIC: MAN, YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN YOU!
READ: LUKE 5:17-26

One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.
18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus.
19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
21 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
22 Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?
24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”
25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God.
26 Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”

THE MESSAGE:

Sin simply means disobedience of God's will. It comes from Satan (John 8:44), man's heart (Matthew 15:19, 20), lust (James 1:15), etc. The consequence of sin is death (Romans 6:23); it also brings about sickness,
accidents, confusion, loss of peace, fruitlessness and demonic attacks. Today in our text, we see the one, who became a paralytic because of sin. For his healing to take place, he needed the forgiveness of sin. And Jesus, seeing the faith of the man and those who struggled to bring him to Him, He had pity on them. However, before giving the man total healing, Jesus first dealt with the root cause of his paralysis which was sin.

Beloved, though all sicknesses do not result from sin, however, knowing, confessing, forsaking of sin and believing in Jesus will go a long way in bringing about our total healing. Let us open the 'roof' of our hearts and present ourselves before the Lord Jesus today. He will do it again for someone now and that person is you! Amen.

PRAYER: Wash me completely from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin, O LORD. Amen.

1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,
2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets.
3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”
9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken;
10 and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”
11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.

*MESSAGE:*

Lending refers to giving to another, for temporary use. When lending a gift to someone or God, the Christian lender expects no return (Luke 6: 34, 35; 1 Sam. 1: 28, 2: 20). And God recognises (Deut. 28: 12, 44), remembers (Psa. 112: 5, 6) and rewards whoever lends to Him (Psa. 37: 25, 26). In today's reading, Peter willingly offered his boat to be used by Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel around the Lake of Gennesaret. Our grateful Lord and Saviour rewarded Peter, and his crew with fishes, to overflowing.

Today, God is asking for our hearts (Prov. 23: 26), a room in your house (Philemon 1: 22), a portion of your food and water (1 Kings 17: 10,11), etc. Please, lend to Him without delay. Beloved, there are numerous blessings that are tied to lending to the Lord. Have you discovered this kingdom truth? Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and evermore (Heb. 13: . Hannah did it, the Widow of Zarephath did it, Peter did it. And the Lord did not forget in each case. Give to Him today!

LORD, I give my Life, time, intellect and resources for Your use today and always. *Amen.*

2 And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.”
3 So He spoke this parable to them, saying:
4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?
5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’
7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
8 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?

*MESSAGE:*

A sinner is the one who is born in sin and remains in sin. He is not a friend of God because he/she lives in disobedience to God's will. The sinner falls short of God's blessings for him and heaven is saddened because of the punishment of sin. The sinner is pursued and overthrown by evil (Prov. 13: 6 & 21). The consequence is that he will finally be punished by heaven (Prov. 11: 31) and consumed (Psa. 104: 35; Rom. 6: 23). When a sinner repents, heaven greatly rejoices (Luke 15: 22-24), his losses are restored while God's delight comes upon him/her.

Beloved, sin takes away every good thing from us when we remain and delight in it, but when we repent, there is great joy in heaven. This heavenly joy will ultimately extend to the one who has repented. Are you in sin? Have you lost your sound relationship with God? Repent and accept Jesus Christ today and He will receive, forgive and cleanse you from all impurities.

Lord Jesus, help me to repent and experience the height of joy in heaven. *Amen.*
