It was mentioned like 355 times (trust me, I counted), that can never be a good thing on GoT. I have that feeling the WW will blindside them and somehow start from there.

A lot of filler scenes, but I think it was necessary. This is our last chance to see our favorite characters before they start dropping down like flies.

About Jon telling Dany about his heritage prematurely, when Ygritte always said "You know nothing", she wasn't just mocking him, she was saying the truth.

P. S : A girl is now a woman grin
For those who have not watched, below is the spoiler.
You counted?!

I thought I was THE game of thrones freak. Hats off man

I hate both of them, actually.

About those complaining about the episode being boring. Well, you know there are a certain kind of people who skip the dialogues in Troy just to watch the fight scenes.

Don't be surprised.
Since I started reading comments here, I've always had this thought but it has intensified since this season started...

...Not everybody is meant to watch game of thrones. It's not like every other movie or series. You need a balance of everything (sight, understanding, emotion... Etc) to really understand it, comprehend it.

You need to get into the mind of certain characters to really understand the way they talk, the way they reason, their motives.

It's sad to say, but most of us watch it like a Nigerian movie

Wen I was enjoying Dany and Jon

Dragon riding and kissing

Bran had to party poop it

They asked bran how to defeat the night king, ode doesn't have answer, I thought he sees the future
He doesn't see the future. He sees past and present. And he clearly said he doesn't know because no one had tried

The producers however hinted in one of their explanatory videos that bran's power will evolve and he would be able to see glimpses of the future. I'm looking out for that one.

Who noticed the change in Greyworm's accent? He isn't speaking like the bush boy anymore. More refined now.

Is this normal? Like an evidence of his adaptation? Or it's a failing on the actor's part?
In one of the videos the producers made, they made reference to this. The way he speaks now is an indication of how well he had adapted to the language.
He has also a language coach that makes sure his accent is the right amount.

I'm quite sure you probably rely on people's comments to have a feel of the movie itself. Which episode 2 was a blast?

Best episode my ass.

So far, expectations have not been met. Boring episode.
I think the way the producers started season 8 up to this point was the bomb. The best way to enjoy an experience is to build up to it... Like sex, you just don't jump into it. You do a little pre-intimacy, both for u and your lady.

This episode had no fights or violence, but boy o boy did I enjoy it. The twirls of emotions in the pit of my stomach were threatening to burst open, and when podrick sang (bless his soul and voice) a tear nearly fell from my eyes.

The battle for winterfell will come next and I will fully enjoy it because the producers have properly built up my emotions to it. I'll feel sad when those I love fall and I'll rejoice when the night king is defeated.

That's how to enjoy a movie mate.

The annoying thing about this leak is that it came from Amazon prime Germany. How can you be showing credits of Season 8 premiere then booooom, you transition to Episode 2?

The painful thing is that instead of the viewers to gasp, quickly switch it off & wait for the rest of the world, they sat down and watched like the traitors they are.

Like how do you just watch an episode of GOT you never prepared for sef? How does your brain even work sef? Is something wrong with you? Are you possessed?

I had to mentally prepare myself for the Season premiere. Took my bath, had a haircut & wore suit & cover shoe before climbing my bed to watch.

I remember calling my Indian Guruji , Prakash, to check if my Zodiac alignment & rotation of the moon aligns.
I began watching the first episode of season 7 only after he confirmed that lord Shiva gives me the go-ahead.
Lol
This guy is a character. I also love the fact that you are well versed in certain things. The last time was mathematics, now astrology...and a sense of humour to go with it. So many guys do not know how to mix these things. Big ups to your babe

Seriously... Fighting the night king is a lost cause... GOT would just use Mago Mago and let the living win at the end

Who understands why the night king wants bran?
I don't think I've seen any reference of this in the books, but I think naturally he would go for the most powerful which I think Bran is.
He has the power to see all his plans, know when he is coming etc. He can never take bran by surprise. Killing him would weaken the living.

Finally, I also think any action taken to kill the night king would involve bran

You know the scene ended as she finished with the statement and Dany replied her. It's very simple. If it really exist they would have go on with the argument she raised and it wouldn't have been between she and Dany. It was just to show her hate, jealousy and unwelcome attitude towards Dany. It is not relevant in the meeting. What do you call someone that raise an irrelevant point in a meeting. Stupid, that's it.

Why do I have this nagging feeling that Sansa and Theon may end up together?...pls hear me out

I know Theon has no cock, but I don't think Sansa is interested in that now...being raped by Ramsey and all.
And dare I say I see a look of emotion (love included) when she looks at Theon.

oliidell:
Guy relax abeg! First and foremost, we all have to pause and let this fact sink in; A Song of Ice and Fire is exclusively George Ray Richard Martin's intellectual property, so he reserves the right to state emphatically what's what and what's not. Every other person's opinion is subject to discussion based on facts let on by the books and the show.

If you've read the books and followed the series you will know that Tyrion wasn't born smart. Read about the circumstances surrounding his first marriage to Tysha and discover how silly and naive he once was. He also went through some character development to become your infallible intellectual giant.

So, I'm not the one giving Sansa credit, the show is. Cersei didn't just fool Tyrion, she fooled everyone at the meeting; Jon, Dany, Sandor, Davos et al. The blame is just more on Tyrion because he is supposed to be the smartest guy around and like you rightly stated, he had a one on one with his sister, came out and convinced everyone-audience inclusive that Cersei was in. Logic or folly, the fact remains that Tyrion's character was served some bull and he swallowed it hook line and sinker.

Sansa's statement was not borne out of assumption it came from a deep knowledge of how Cersei's mind works. Remember she told Arya in S7 that the parchment was Cersie's ploy to divide them and gain the upper hand. She was also right about the workings of Ramsey's mind and was able contribute positively to winning back Winterfell and she equally defeated Baelish at his own game.

Please read your write-up again. You repeatedly made excuses for Tyrion's shortcomings while seizing every opportunity to disparage Sansa.

Yes, we all love Tyrion. He is the 'T' in GOT if you ask me but any unbiased gender-tolerant viewer will agree that Sansa has undergone tremendous mental development.

So please deal with your prejudice for Sansa or the Starks in general and watch the show with an open mind. You can't tell the producers what to do cos we don't control the story.
Thank you for this
TV/MoviesRe: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Endy10(m): 4:14pm On Apr 20, 2019
Yes they were wrong for killing Jon. The decision Jon took was hard, but it was 100 percent correct. I you still argue this one then I'll know I'm wasting my time arguing with you.
Jon saw the army of the dead. The widlings were potential army for the night king. He knew if all the widlings fell, with their giants and mammoths, the seven kingdom was doomed.

The nights watch over time forgot the real reason the wall was built. They forgot the real fight was with the white walkers. Even if they couldn't accept the fact that the people they were fighting now lived amongst them, ask yourself this: Is it not treason to go against your Lord commander, talk more of killing him? Now there is a genuine treason for you.

And please don't tell me it's not treason, please. Lord Commander Mormont was killed (back stabbed) because he defended an incestuous willing (Craster) was that not treason too?

meforkene:
It's better you just take the "wow" plus me don tire for the case abeg.

If marrying your family's/faithful's worst and most recent enemies is not betrayal then i don't know what is. In the medieval times no one really cares the step by step occurrences that bring about the betrayal. It is what it is. The Ramsay own is even more unacceptable...a conquerer of the home plus being reluctant in showing any signs of revolt.

For instance, Jon did the most possible humane thing for the wildlings and some brothers of the NW killed him. Do you think they were wrong for killing him?
TV/MoviesRe: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Endy10(m): 4:05pm On Apr 20, 2019
So Sansa came out of her ordeals a baby with a backward plan?
Everything Sansa passed through made her who she is now, and who she is now is a way smarter version of the Sansa of before. Please how does that not define growth.

The first thing she did after fleeing from Ramsey and going to Jon was plot how to take their home back. How is that not a forward plan?

I dare say that every decision Sansa has taken since her escape from Ramsey has been the correct one...Every decision. Be it telling Jon that he shouldn't bother about Rickon, or hiding the fact she had the army of the veil waiting.

I know we can sometimes get invested in these characters such that we tend to love some and hate some. Don't let your hatred for a character close your eyes to their development. If you do, you miss so many things the show is trying to tell you

meforkene:
Gbola5 asked for the treasonable offence Sansa committed that the Northerners overlooked. That's what i wrote there.
Don't care what she should have done to avert the situations.

But the other ladies you mentioned all came out of the forced marriages obviously grown and different..each with a forward plan.
TV/MoviesRe: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Endy10(m): 3:57pm On Apr 20, 2019
There was no trick. She knew she was marrying Tyrion.
Tyrion told her himself(they didn't show this conversation, just when he entered her chamber. Shae was there) S3E6
Yonce:
She didn't even know she was to marry Tyrion.
Hell! Nobody knew.
Lannisters tricked her to thinking she was to marry Ser Loras when it was Tyrion waiting for her at the altar.
What was she supposed to do then?

She was reluctant to marry Ramsay. Littlefinger convinced her to do as that was the only way to infiltrate her own home and take it back.

Is Sansa the first woman to be sold into marriage?
Was Dany not sold?
Was Cersei not sold?
Was Magery not sold. . .multiple times? undecided

Den Don start again.
1. She was already bethrothed to Joeffery. Even though she liked him at that time, it wasn't her doing. With time she gets to know the type of person Joeffery is and dislikes him. I'm sure you've forgotten the smile on her face when Joeffery renounced his betrothal to Sansa and announced one with Mageary.
She had no choice about marrying Tyrion also. Infact she was plotting with Th Tyrells to marry Lores. Tywin heard of the plot and marries her to Tyrion instead. Where does she betray the north here?

2. She eventually escapes king landing, with little finger's help and he takes her to winterfell. Along the way she learns of his plan to marry her to the Bolton's people who murdered her family. I'm sure you saw her refuse vehemently when she was told. She even went as far as saying she would starve herself to death if she was forced. And she was prepared to do it. But little finger convinced her to fight for her home not to run away. That was why she married Ramsey.

I don't know how you came to the conclusion that Sansa betrayed the north by marrying Tyrion or Ramsey, but I hope I have been able to convince you otherwise. If after reading this you still are not convinced, I implore you to watch GOT again. If after this you still insists she betrayed the north, then wow!

meforkene:
1. Lannisters kill her father, brother, mother; She almost immediately married Joffrey...ended marrying Tyrion.

2. Bolton's conquered her home: She married Ramsay almost immediately...in that same home. (Please remind me how long it took LF to convince her).

And they still let her sit at the table in the great hall of Winterfell without addressing the issues.

Gbola5:
Jaime was once naive, and had idealistic views of knighthood when he was younger, about SanSan's age. I remember thoughts of him wanting to barge in and help Rhaella whenever the Mad King was raping her.
"We are sworn to protect her as well."
Darry answered, "We are, but not from him," - Jaime.
He was told constantly that he was powerless to such things.
He also trusted Cersei and loved her thinking she would be faithful to him the way he is to her, but she manipulates him.

Brienne also has those views of knighthood and honor, but is constantly reminded otherwise.

Now how are they any different from SanSan. They all had this sheltered idea of the world, until they were exposed to it. But she has survived. You need to stop giving her a hard time.
Its a thing of joy when thought process are properly explained. However, I know there are some who are very gifted at finding loopholes in everything one says. Let's see what they do with this

When I said what Gbola5 says is golden, you didn't believe me. He went ahead and cancelled my comments.
If there is one person you don't argue the books with, it's Gbola5... I learnt that lesson 3 years ago. I would with the series though grin

But I know he won't hear word, so please, come and argue again so you get roasted.

Gbola5:
Yes ! Neither could she ride Viserion when she rode Drogon.

You have to bond with a dragon to ride said dragon. And once that happens the dragon will not let anyone else ride it whilst its rider lives (except the rider is currently present and they all ride together on the dragons back), otherwise it passes on to another person after its riders death. That she's their mother, does not mean she gets to ride all three at once, except Drogon dies or there would be conflict. (The part that isn't so clear - If a rider can ride a second dragon after the first dragon's death - because it never happened). Now Jon has riden Rhaegal, she has no chance. Those sayings, "The Dragon has Three heads", are for a reason you know.

"...it was said that even
Aegon the Conquerer never
dared mount Vhagar or
Meraxes , nor did his sisters
mount Balerion the Black
Dread. Dragons live longer
than men, some for hundreds
of years, so Balerion had
other riders after Aegon
died... but no rider ever flew
two dragons." —Daenerys Targaryen

I haven't read ADWD, but I get what Gbola5 is saying. I never heard or read of Argon the conqueror riding
Vhagar or Meraxes, only Belerion.
Even when Rheagal and Viserion were without riders, she continually rode Drogon. Not even for curiosity did she ride any of the other two. Could it be like Gbola5 says that there is an unspoken bond between dragon and rider?
Jon is Rheagal's rider now. He clearly bonded to Jon. Would be hard seeing Deanerys or Jon exchanging dragons.
I don't know if a dragon rider can ride another dragon. I've not read that part of the book. But since Gbola5 said so, then it's golden

Dany was forced away from home into marriage, she took advantage of the situation and came back with the greatest army the world has ever seen, devoted followers and 3 dragons

Sansa forced her family to allow her go and marry a prince, lazy girl, she left empty, came back empty

I don't expect Jon to do anything about it in the next few episodes. He has always wanted to know about his mother, but this was not what he expected. This news is too big. I expect him to keep this news to himself a little bit, and be withdrawn a bit (he has always been a brooding fellow)
But I don't think he'll push for the throne. He had never been interested in any top position, be it when he was at the wall or when he was named king in the north. However if people clamour for him to be king (very very very unlikely), that could change his mind

nymphomaniac:
After all the arguments, you people skipped one very important one. How will Jon react to what samwel tarly told him? Will he become king in the north? Will he continue to abdicate? Will he tell other northerners?

How will dany take it? Me I think she will take it easy with him and say it doesnt matter as she will rule with him by her side...Jon will become love blind and do nothing about his heritage.
