Oluwatoyin544: Peter Obi Ignored as Aliko Dangote Thanks Tinubu, Buhari, Fashola, and Sanwo-Olu for the Success of the Refinery
May 22, 2023
Lagos, Nigeria - In a surprising turn of events, Peter Obi, the former Vice Presidential candidate of the opposition party, was seemingly ignored by Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, as he expressed gratitude to key political figures for the success of his refinery project.
During the grand opening ceremony of the Dangote Refinery, which took place today in Lagos, Aliko Dangote took the stage to acknowledge the individuals who played a significant role in the realization of this monumental project. However, to the surprise of many, Peter Obi, a prominent political figure in Nigeria, was noticeably absent from the list of acknowledgments.
Dangote, in his speech, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola, and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He commended their unwavering support, which he claimed played a vital role in the success of the refinery.
The Dangote Refinery, one of the largest and most advanced oil refineries in the world, has been hailed as a game-changer for Nigeria's economy. The multi-billion-dollar project aims to reduce the country's dependence on imported refined petroleum products and create job opportunities for thousands of Nigerians.
While Dangote's recognition of prominent politicians is not entirely unexpected, the omission of Peter Obi from his list raised eyebrows among political observers. Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and a respected voice in Nigeria's political landscape, has been a vocal critic of the current administration's policies and has championed alternative approaches to economic development.
Some political analysts believe that the exclusion of Peter Obi from Dangote's acknowledgments could be attributed to their differing political ideologies and the ongoing political rivalry between the ruling party and the opposition. However, others argue that it may simply be an oversight or an unintentional omission on Dangote's part.
Peter Obi's camp has yet to issue an official statement regarding his exclusion from the list. However, it is expected that the matter will fuel further debate and speculation in the Nigerian political sphere.
As the Dangote Refinery begins its operations, all eyes are on the impact it will have on Nigeria's economy. The project has the potential to transform the country's oil sector and attract foreign investments. Nevertheless, the incident at the opening ceremony serves as a reminder of the complex web of politics and alliances that influence Nigeria's development landscape. Omitted as na INEC list for presidential election? Make Tinubu supporters calm down na always making mountains out of nothing. Atiku should also be mentioned since na competition to be mentioned by Dangote |

lhordspy: With due respect. Prof is a dull man.
Prof. Let me ask you. What is the essence of the election when all it takes to fail is 'not make' 25% in FCT?
It means even though you win the entire 36 states with 98%, and garner over 34billion votes across the states. Not getting 25% in FCT means another election of 300bn will be re-conducted.
All it takes is political actors without any road to victory or path to majority votes, making sure they block any body from getting 25% in FCT; by crook or hook. Because they know even 25billion votes cant safe anyone.
All it takes is political parties focusing on FCT only and giving middle fingers to the other states. They can even try importing people from 36 states into FCT just to vote and scuttle the opposition impending victory
People like Sowore and others who know they cant win will just campaign only in FCT, bribe the residents and make sure the votes are split. Then we will keep repeating election till thy-kingdom-come without president.
As a Prof,e make sense? Is this logical? Why bring up Sowore wey dey support you 😒. Honestly I feel that FCT should be treated like every other state but reading that part from the constitution you will find out the constitution says otherwise. This maybe an Honest mistake from those who wrote the constitution. Again FCT does not have the characteristics of a state in Nigeria maybe that's why they put it like that. All these news should just end let real governance begin abeg. I am Obidient tho but I feel BAT should be sworn in so that governance starts and if he loses in court, then he should part his loads and go |

N3TRAL: Peter Okoye, my favourite, the defense of threat to life doesn't suffice because even a child can string the pieces of the event together based on the short video clip of Seun Kuti assaulting a commissioned officer of the law.
It doesn't add up that a man with a gun threatened your life and you point fingers at him, insult him and slap him. What's more life threatening than slapping a very calm policeman?
In the US, Seun's body would have been riddled bullets.
The policeman must get compensation through civil litigation after the criminal case instituted by the State sends Seun to prison.
You can't come out of your AC chilled Mercedes and assault a public servant labouring day and night under the sun and in the rain to feed his wife and babies without dire consequences. Thank God people like still exist. And if not for the camera, Seun could had gotten away with this crime. Someone bashed your car and the next thing you do is to assault the person. Despite all the influence Fela had, he was never like this |

Did he bash the car on purpose? If the reverse was the case now, that poor police man will be in custody. The problem with us is just elitism. I don bash like two people back bumper before, and they fully understood with you. I was rushing to pick my sick cousin and I mistaken bashed ppl's car and they were both Muslim northerners and all I said was dAllah Yi hakuri. And they let me go considering my state at that point. I was there when the incident happened but I can assure you that Seun heard the police siren and refused to move his car out of the way and many Nigerians are fond of doing that when driving. They'll tell that there's no emergency so why put on siren. If I was that police officer, I would arrest Seun at that spot. |

People were to protest against the coronation of Prince Charles on the coronation date, the police arrested them and seized their placards. NB. Right to protest is a human right and freedom of speech and peaceful coexistence is a fundamental human right, the British police denied all these. Back to the US, Julian Assange an Australian and owner of wikileak arrested in London and US has been applying for his extradition so he can serve lengthy period of time in US prison where goes the freedom of information act that US themselves have been pioneering? Jamal Khashoggi a known critic of Saudi Crown, was murdered in Turkey and chemical used to dissolve his remains and was moped by Saudi crown Prince, Binsaman what did the US do about it. All US are after is their interest and nothing more. To them human right must conform to their national and dubious interests. |

Wagwanbrethren: Yes, Russia bot. France was wrong here, and I condemn it. See why I said you know nothing! France cannot be said to be complete democratic country. We are talking about countries that practice true democracy. The first is that the president is elected for a five-year term, this means that the president can stay in power for a long time and has a lot of control over the government.
Secondly, the president can appoint the prime minister, who is the head of the government. This also means that the president can choose someone who is loyal to him or her, and who will not challenge his or her power.
In France, the president can veto laws that are passed by the parliament. This means that the president can prevent laws from being passed if he or she does not agree with them. Again, thehe parliament is not elected directly by the people. Instead, it is elected by the members of the National Assembly. This means that the parliament is not representative of the people, and that the people do not have a say in how it is run.
If you were smart you would know that the government is not directly accountable to the people. This means that the government does not have to listen to the people and can make decisions without consulting them. Writer wey no get cap!🤣
Russia is trash. You didn't even respond to where I pointed out your hypocrisy. Keep hiding and creating useless threads to suit your own narrative! 🤣 US that make use of electoral college system nko? If they are truly democratic why not allow direct democracy to take effect instead of their indirect way of voting? Back to the UK, do you even know the powers of the monarch? Someone that has the power to suspend, sack and appoint the PM. Some that determine to the greater extent the country’s foreign policy and trade? A family that cannot be taxed? A person that can decide to not to dissolve parliament? A person who can veto a legislation by withholding royal assent? Abeg make una and West rest. The BRICS we know now |

Wagwanbrethren: See our amiable writer embarrassing himself. No democratic nation in the world, or any nation that respect human right will do what they did. Where's the "right" here.
This Nigerian woman that insulted queen of England, the lecturer in US university. Who hung her, who sacked her? They respected her opinion borne out of anger, and the world moved on, but your god Putin is always showing what sort of tyrant he is.
Imagine having the likes of Russia, China, NK, Iran, Pakistan, and other terrorist nation as world power! Omo the world don go be that. This is clearly what the US is avoiding. Respect human right. A case or country where you can't state your feeling or speak up is nothing but dictatorship.
Surprisingly, na una wailers go complain about Buhari, and even troll Tinubu all day calling him a drug dealer without nobody arresting you people! Or no be traitor una still be. Let Buhari start arresting those who dare to speak up or mock him whether prison no go full, una for don wail tire.
Note: This same boy supported the Prof Anya when she insulted the late queen of England. If the US or UK had eliminated or arrested her this wailer would call the US unprintable names, but here he is praising Putin and condemning that Russia lady. Almost same Scenario. Putin invaded Ukraine, but the late queen didn't even do half of that. What a double faced hypocrite you are, tueh!
You no dey even fit do your propaganda job well, because you are not bright. You no dey research, too dull! ALWAYS copying and pasting trash from Russia propaganda site! Oga calm down oo. If that lady had been in Britain, she'll be in in prison by now. Go and check there are a lot of laws protecting the royal family from attacks just before the coronation of dickheaded Charles, there were protesters that the police arrested and seized all their placards that showed reads "Not my King". The US that have invaded countries will come and shout democracy and ppl like you will believe them. Libya is a typical example of the results of their atrocious invasions. If I were Putin I will clear Ukraine since Zelenskyy does not know Biden and Co are using him as a pawn. I only pity Ukrainian citizens but that Zelenskyy should captured. Embarking on a war you don't stand a chance is nothing but stupidity and suicidal. Imagine Nigeria fighting South Africa |
