She knows what she's saying.
99 percent of Nigerian Artistes sing jargons.
But she's singled out and insulted all the time.
She trends on twitter for that.
With plenty of insults.
She's musically sound, just needs to get a good songwriter,
She will get there, and posterity will remember her for good. |

Funny,
When People suddenly remember that they like 'good music' when they see Yemi Alade.
When
It's easier to count the number of artistes that sing meaningful music in Nigeria( a handful).
Dear Yemi,
There is room for improvement, as applies to everyone,
Keep working hard, be your own biggest competition,
The sky will be your starting point. |

My cousin did her housemanship at 23. And she graduated with distinction too.... No hype, no noise. Just silently challenging the norm. Celebrate your cousin, by all means yes but don't belittle another persons achievements. For your info, this Lady was a first class graduate of botany before going in to study medicine. |

helovesme: she wasn't 'promoting' demi williams. demi was working for her. ladies had the choice to either book banke herself or demi or annabel depending on the bride's budget/preference.
in this social media showoff era, a bride expects to be have her face showcased on the BM pro IG page. so what happens is that demi tags banke/bmpro in every picture posted on her page (before she started her own business). sometimes, banke reposts the same picture and gives credit to demi or annabel - which is expected as it will be wrong for banke to claim to have done the makeup for a customer which she had clearly not. she usually ends the post with '#makeupbydemi' or #makeupbyannabel'
i have had my makeup done by both of them and i understand how their booking process work.fees are paid directly to banke's company account and demi herself is strict/no-nonsense. if you have booked/paid for 2 people, there is nothing that you will say to convince her to do the makeup for your friend or acquaintance on the day. if you have a wedding to attend by say 10am, demi can showup at the given address by 5am with her full makeup kit, camera, portable music speakers and she starts her work. by 7am she is done and she is off.
demi brought many clients to banke as her job is wayyyyyyy better than than of banke. as a matter of fact, her facebeat actuallly looks better in real life than pictures. the face time I had my makeup done by demi, I couldn't help but wonder what she was doing working under someone and a lot of ladies that have had their makeup done by demi share the same opinion.
i feel she is just upset that demi has moved on to start her on business and she is already having a lot of clients.
the 28million naira might be an allegation of a theft of 'products' (foundation, lipstick, etc) or she feels that demi began booking clients under demi's brand whilst still working her notice period with banke.
banke is well connected to rich/wealthy clients. it appears she has used that influence to have the case transferred from lagos to abuja because last i checked, both ladies are based in lagos and operate from her lagos office. so what's the Abuja connection Gbam. One carton of orijin for you. I noticed Demi and Annabel are like 2nd and 3rd in command for her brand. |

jobaltol: Have you not noticed that when God decides to favor you, even your past mistakes seem to be overlooked? The best case study for this analysis is bisola.. She gave birth out of wedlock in an African setting; she was accused of using her mouth as a suction pump; she took second in the show...but now, touring round the world ...even the winner has not been exposed to that sort of opportunities...
Lesson of the day: It is not about how fast, smart or brilliant that you are.. God's mercy matters more in the equation of life... She is extremely talented. Acting, singing, good diction. If she plays her cards well, she will be one of the most celebrated entertainers in the country. |

chukzyfcbb: stop trying to twist things around. Training is education. In fact what do you understand by education? Education is about opening ones mind and not just filling their head - George Bush.
You go to the university to be a Trained professional in medicine or Engineering or Law etc.
This lad here is educated in the art of creating styles with a plain material. This is art in play You can call it an Informal education, but it's education regardless.
Don't ever separate Training from Education. Training someone is You educating them on something.
The problem with you guys is that you think Education starts and ends in the Higher Institution or that Speaking English makes you educated person.
Footballers put in tons of hours of training to perfect their freekick skill, but yet someone who graduated would look at a Freekick specialist like Beckham and call him an Uneducated man, what a shame!
Beckham or Juninho could write a 100page book to educate young lads how best to take a Freekick because both players are educated in the art of football. Spot on! Education in Nigeria is all about going to a higher institution. Intelligence is all about going to the University and getting a good grade. Formal education is good but not the ultimate. Not everyone should go to a university. We need to upgrade our vocational schools and talent training centres. |

dominique: I agree with everything except with the 23,000 churches part. I'm sure there are no less than 100,000 churches across Nigeria, mosques should be slightly fewer. With all our religiousness, we keep hearing of so many atrocities being committed by these so-called religious people. Most times I wonder what all our over religiousness has achieved for us in this country. Maybe he means denominations not the number of branches. |
