Lalasticlala come see something, is it true that APDA Youth are giving Myd44 APC a good run for their money |
Youths of the newly registered Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) have appealed to Nigeria youths to take advantage of the party’s platform and effect the desired generational change in leadership. The Youths under the umbrella of Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance Youth Frontier (APDAYF), made the appeal in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Inioribo Tamunotonye and the Director of Strategy and Mobilisation, Comrade Temitope Owa, and made available to our reporters in Abuja. The statement reads; “Today, young people of Nigeria who in their childhood were made to believe that they are the leaders of ‘tomorrow’ are taking every medium available to them to decry the exclusion of their constituency in the leadership of this country at all levels of government” “It is no longer a secret that while young people across the world are major players in the leadership of their respective countries, Nigeria youths have been left wandering in the wilderness due to the unavailability of platforms for them to take advantage of. The youths have simply been reduced to playing the role of spectators in the political system of Nigeria” “However, APDA core principle is to have everyone irrespective of age and gender come on board and play their part in achieving a renewed Nigeria” “Section 126 (7) of the APDA Constitution mandates that youths shall occupy at least 25% of all party and public positions at all levels of government and party”. “According to the Section 126 (2) (t) of APDA Constitution, youths are people within the ages of 18 and 35. This means the party recognize that every Nigerian of voting age should be part of leadership at all levels” “Furthermore, the APDA has given youth members 90% discount of membership fee in all category save Platinum (when you look at its membership fees for youths). This is unprecedented in Nigeria’s political history” “We appeal to our apolitical colleagues and those that are wasting away their intellectual resources in other political parties to come on board and be a part of this great platform as we cannot wait for the elders to die before we lead”. http://swiftreporters.com/take-advantage-of-apda-platform-party-youths-urge-nigeria-youths/ https://newsflash247blog./2017/06/13/take-advantage-of-apda-platform-party-youths-urge-nigeria-youths-apdayf/ http://akstrending.com/take-advantage-of-apda-platform-party-youths-urge-nigeria-youths/

Law -abiding staff of The Sun Publishing Limited resumed work this morning, June 12, 2017 to behold heavily armed EFCC operatives in our company. They claimed to have “orders from above” to seal up the premises of The Sun Publishing Limited. At gunpoint, they ordered our security personnel to take them round the company premises, after which they proceeded to prevent staff from either entering or leaving the premises, and disrupted our circulation process. For one gruelling hour, EFCC operatives subjected our staff to crude intimidation, psychological and emotional trauma, even as some of the men accused our organisation of publishing pro-Biafra, Boko Haram and Niger Delta militant stories, as they surveyed our premises. We recall that in 2007, (10 years ago) the EFCC had obtained an interim forfeiture order in respect of some assets of The Sun, attached to a suit against our Publisher, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, for which we have filed an appeal, which is still pending in court. We also recall that the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu had written a letter personally signed by him dated 23rd of May and received on the 7th of June, asking The Sun management to report to the Commission on 5th of June, detailing our operations in the last 10 years, on account of an interim order of forfeiture under appeal As law abiding corporate citizen, our lawyer, Chief Chris Uche SAN, wrote the Commission to intimate the Agency that the issue was pending before the court of Appeal. The receipt of our correspondence was duly acknowledged. We were therefore shocked that our premises would be invaded by the Commission under whatever guise. This is condemnable and reprehensible. No one, Agency or authority should be above the laws of our country. An abuse of the law is a recipe for chaos. Magu had in an earlier letter threatened to sue The Sun over a report published by one of our titles, pertaining to a report on investigation of a property allegedly traced to his wife. But up till now, we are yet to receive any court process. In the light of the above, we strongly view this onslaught against The Sun as a personal vendetta by the leadership of the Commission, and by extension a declaration of war against the media. In this invasion of our premises, it is crystal clear that what Magu and his Commission are after is not only to intimidate and muzzle us, but a furious attempt to call a dog a bad name in order to hang it. On the issue of the interim order, which he purportedly based his invasion, Magu knows the matter has been on appeal since 2007 for which hearing comes up this week. But rather than wait for the court process, thecCommission under the leadership of Magu, typically resorted to self help. We want the general public to take note of this authoritarianism and high handedness, which has been the hallmark of Magu’s leadership of the EFCC. The other charge of publishing Biafra, Boko Haram and Niger Delta militant stories is very ridiculous, baseless and anti-Press freedom. We like to state that we are neither an ethnic, political nor religious newspaper, but we are the Voice of the Nation, reflecting all sides, all views and all shades of opinion in line with the ethics of our profession. We challenge Magu and his Commission to show where The Sun’s stories have been different from other papers in the country. We call on well-meaning citizens and relevant authorities to restrain Magu and his Commission from taking the laws into their hands. http://sunnewsonline.com/front-page-comment-efcc-invasion-of-our-premises/

Eviction Order: APDA Youths Faults Ango Abdullahi, Hails Arewa Forum, Condemns APC. Youths of the newly registered Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) under the aegis of Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance Youth Frontier APDAYF) has condemned the position taken by the Spokeperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Professor Ango Abdullahi for backing the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF ejection notice given to people of Igbo extraction. In a statement signed by the APDAYF’s National Coordinator Comrade Inioribo Tamunotonye, the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Najuma Awudu and the Northeast Coordinator Hon. Khalid Ningi, and released to Swift Reporters , the youth group wondered why a man of Professor Abdullahi’s calibre that is supposed to be an elder statesman will align with a declaration that goes against the right of fellow citizens and is capable of causing breakdown of law and order. “We condemn the unfortunate statement credited to the respected Professor Ango Abdullahi. This is an elder who is supposed to be seen as a role model to the younger generation and never expected to back such declaration that is ethnically motivated and targeted at people from a particular section of the country” “The most shocking is that his position is coming at a time where there is public condemnation of the action of the misguided youths, whose order does not represent the position of the Arewa community and the entire northern Nigeria”. “We condemn in strong terms the actions of both AYCF and Professor Ango Abdullahi”. “We wish to inform AYCF and Professor Abdullahi that the trio of Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,Article 12 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Article The African Charter on Human and People’s Rights, grant every citizen of the World and Africa (as the case may be) the liberty to live in any part of the world. Also, Section 41(1) of the Nigeria Constitution grant every citizen of Nigeria the inalienable right to reside in any part of the Federation” “We urge the Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris to ensure that the lives and properties of every Nigerian are protected and the threat by the AYCF is not carried out”. “The AYCF must acknowledge that they acted in bad faith, they must repent and embrace proper channel to register whatever displeasure they may have”. The statement reads in part. The youths of the newly registered party hailed the Arewa Consultative Forum for condemning the ill-conceived order of the AYCF. “We salute our leaders in the Arewa Consultative Forum for taking a position that is in line with the true spirit of Arewa and the collective position of citizens from the 19 states of the North. We also salute all those that joined their voices to condemn the so-called ‘Kaduna declaration’” The youths further condemned the call by the ruling All Progressive Congress to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) to register as a political party. “The call by the APC to both IPOB and MASSOB to register as a party is a confirmation that the ruling party is not interested in implementing policies that will capture the needs of every Nigerian and enhance the unity of the country”. “As a youth group, the APC’s position did not come to us as a surprise. It has always been the position of Nigerians that the ruling party has nothing to offer Nigerians”. “We urge every Nigerian of voting age to take advantage of the ongoing Voters registration and arm themselves with their voters card so as to kick out the APC at all level and vote in APDA, the only political party whose mission is to meet the yearnings of Nigerians irrespective of ethnicity”. Earlier today, Professor Ango Abdullahi had thrown his weight behind the order given to Igbos residing in the 19 Northern states and FCT, calling the Igbos as “ingrates”. http://swiftreporters.com/eviction-order-apda-youths-faults-ango-abdullahi-hails-arewa-forum-condemns-apc/

INEC Officially Register ADP, APDA, 3 Others As Political Parties INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION PRESS STATEMENT The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) held its usual weekly meeting today and reviewed, among other things, the on-going nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, which began on 27th April 2017. In the meeting with the Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) and Administrative Secretaries, the Commission received and considered submissions from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as reports from some accredited observers of the CVR exercise. The Commission noted the challenges encountered so far, and is addressing them. As at Friday 2nd June 2017, a total of 760,989 persons have registered across the country, made up of 59. 5 percent males and 40.5 percent females. So far, 31,808 persons have collected their PVCs while 34, 560 others applied for transfer of Polling Units. Due to budgetary constraints, the Commission cannot for now decentralize to the Registration Area level. However, due considerations shall be given to certain areas with peculiar challenges. The Commission decided that, in view of the Anambra State governorship election scheduled for 17th November 2017, the CVR will be decentralized to the Registration Area (Ward) level from 10th to 16th August, 2017. The same consideration shall be given to Ekiti and Osun states which have governorship elections in 2018. NEW POLITICAL PARTIES At present, 95 Associations have applied to the Commission for registration as political parties. Two of the associations voluntarily withdrew their applications. The Commission today approved the applications of five of the associations which have fulfilled the constitutional requirements for registration. They are: 1. Young Progressive Party (YPP) 2. Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) 3. New Generation Party of Nigeria (NGP) 4. All Democratic Peoples Movement (ADPM) 5. Action Democratic Party (ADP) With the registration of the above parties, there are now 45 political parties in Nigeria. “You Are An Attention Seeker”, APDA Youths Replies APGA National Chairman The Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance Youth Frontiers (APDAYF) has labelled the call from All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to decline registration of the newly launched opposition party as diversionary, attention-seeking and an exercise in futility. While marking his two years in office in Awka, Anambra state, Dr Victor Oye, the National Chairman of APGA had called on the electoral umpire not to grant the request of the newly launched APDA to be registered as a political party, as according to him, “the acronym of APDA sound like APGA and it is capable of confusing prospective voters”. But reacting to the call, APDAYF in a statement jointly signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Inioribo Tamunotonye and the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Najuma Awudu and made available to this medium, wondered why the Chairman of a political party will abandon the job of management of his party but to engage in attention seeking enterprise. “The call to decline registration of our party by the APGA Chairman is not only antidemocratic but simply attention seeking” “Perhaps the APGA Chairman is not aware of that section 78(4) of the Electoral Act has already deemed the APDA a registered political party having met the constitutional requirement of section 222 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and exceeded the 30 days period stipulated by the Act” “We therefore wish to inform the APGA National Chairman that his demand is an exercise in futility. The demand by the Chairman to INEC is too late at this juncture” “It is in the best interest of the APGA National Chairman to focus on his party instead of APDA”. ” We state without any iota of doubt that the electorates know the difference between APDA and other political parties in terms of ideology, sincerity and purpose. Nigerians know the difference between a party whose constitution provide platforms for everyone to partake in decisions of the party and the government irrespective of societal status and others that only pay lip service to the aspirations of Nigerians”. “For the sake of emphasis, we wish to state that Section 11 of the APDA’s constitution stipulates that youths within the ages of 18-35 must occupy a minimum of 25% of party and public offices, women 35% and people living with disabilities 5%; the first and only party to do this in the history of this great country”. “Therefore, APDA is the only political party that has met the yearnings of the Youths, Women and People living with disabilities, three important groups that has hitherto been abandoned by the political class”. “It is therefore purposeless and diversionary of Dr. Victor Okey to assume that Nigerians will mistake his party for APDA when both parties are different from each other in name, acronym, ideology, vision and purpose”, the statement reads. http://swiftreporters.com/you-are-an-attention-seeker-apda-youths-replies-apga-national-chairman/ https://newsflash247blog./2017/06/07/you-are-an-attention-seeker-apda-youths-replies-apga-national-chairman/ http://akstrending.com/you-are-an-attention-seeker-apda-youths-replies-apga-national-chairman/

The Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance Youth Frontiers (APDAYF), a front-line youth group of the recently launched APDA has labelled the ruling All Progressive Congress as frustrated over the call for the arrest of leaders of APDA by the youth wing of the ruling party. In a statement jointly signed by the group’s National Coordinator, Comrade Inioribo Tamunotonye and the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Nujuma Audu and released to the press, they wondered why a so-called youth group could not distinguish the logo of APDA and Nigerian Breweries PLC brand, Star Lager Beer. “It is preposterous that a so-called youth group could not distinguish the logo of APDA and Nigerian Breweries PLC brand, Star Lager Beer; two logos that even a blind could distinguish.” “The APC is simply frustrated. They have seen the massive recognition that is being enjoyed by the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance, a party that only unveiled 24 hours ago” “The APC should be prepared for bigger shocker because the APDA as a party means business and it has come to stay”, the statement reads. Earlier today, a group known as APC Youths Renaissance called for the arrest and prosecution of leaders of APDA over the logo of the new party. http://akstrending.com/apc-is-frustrated-apda-youths/

APC you are on a long thing. so Star Larger Beer is now APC brand. |
Lalasticlala u dey see Myd44 Led APC presidency trying to be the Presidency and Judiciary at the same time |
Whichever faction of presidency is saying this should cover their eyes. You forced open judges house and accuse them of keeping money at home. You forced NJC to suspend them on the guise of prosecuting them. But till now you have not taken them to court, just to keep them inactive. It doesnt work thag way. Media trial is different from Real trial |
Presidency slams NJC, vows to arraign reinstated judges. the Presidency has berated the National Judicial Council for reinstating six suspended judges who were under investigation for alleged corruption. The Special Adviser to the President on Prosecutions, Okoi Obono-Obla, expressed dissatisfaction with the NJC during a live television programme on Channels TV, titled ‘Sunrise Daily’ on Monday. No fewer than five of the judges, who were suspended in October last year, had yet to be arraigned by the Federal Government, causing the Nigerian Bar Association to demand their immediate reinstatement. One of the reinstated judges, Justice Adeniyi Ademola, was arraigned but the charges were struck out by the court. The Federal Government had filed an appeal against the ruling when the NJC reinstated him. Obono-Obla said the Presidency was disappointed in the NJC, alleging that the council was indirectly promoting corruption by reinstating the judges. He stated that the NJC was aware of the plan of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to arraign the judges but surreptitiously reinstated them. The Presidential aide advised the suspended judges not to resume as they would soon be arraigned. Obono-Obla added, “I can assure you that the NJC was aware of the intention of the EFCC to file criminal proceedings against those judges. So, why the hurry? Some of those judges also have several petitions written against them to the knowledge of the NJC so what is the hurry? “We were in the process of charging them to court and the NJC is aware that the EFCC was in the process of charging these judges to court and as I said earlier, there are also complaints, petitions from members of the public against these judges; so, why have they not looked into some of these petitions? “The impression is that they (NJC members) are trying to protect some of these judges. Apart from the criminal allegations against them, there are several petitions against these judges. “The NJC will just have to suspend them again. The judges should be stopped from sitting from today because they will soon be charged to court; I can assure you.” The President’s aide said he was particularly disappointed that the NJC reinstated Justice Ademola, whose case is still under appeal. He said it was unethical for the judge to preside over cases when his integrity was still in question. Obono-Obla added, “An appeal is not tantamount to a stay of execution but we are talking of a judge’s integrity; the reputation of the judge, the credibility of the judiciary. This is a judge whose credibility is at stake. “He was arraigned for allegedly collecting bribes. He was discharged and acquitted and the decision was appealed. If I were that judge, I would not sit until the appeal is heard because members of the public will not have confidence in his court and the judicial system relies on the confidence of the people.” Specifically, those the NJC reinstated to the bench are Justice John Okoro of the Supreme Court; Justice Uwani Abba Aji of the Court of Appeal; Justice Hydiazira Nganjiwa of the Federal High Court; Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, who has been discharged and acquitted; Justice Musa Kurya of the Federal High Court; and Justice Agbadu Fishim of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria. However, human rights lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), commended the NJC for reinstating the judges. Ozekhome lamented that the judges were made to undergo unfair treatment and public embarrassment which negatively impacted on them and their families. He said the Federal Government should immediately halt what he described as the persecution of innocent citizens. “We are not living in a banana republic, Thomas Hobbes’ state of nature or George Orwell’s Animal Farm. Respect for citizens’ fundamental rights and the rule of law, independence of the judiciary, a free, robust and unencumbered press and giving the citizens democratic dividends, are the hallmarks of democracy. “The reverse is tyranny, despotism, absolutism, fascism or dictatorship. Nigerians didn’t vote for these,” Ozekhome said. http://www.punchng.com/presidency-slams-njc-vows-to-arraign-reinstated-judges |
