opeyemiieblog: Some of the most dangerous roads to travel in Nigeria are as following :
1). Abuja-Lokoja-Okene-Kabba: If you have travelled from anywhere in the Southwest of Nigeria to Abuja through the Lokoja-Okene road in Kogi State, then you will understand that this is a road of death. Not only is this road bad, it is a haven of armed robbers. Thousands of passengers travelling the Lokoja-Okene road to Abuja or to Ondo State have been waylaid by armed bandits and dispossessed of their goods. The same can be said of the Ilorin-Kabba-Lokoja road and the Lokoja-Obajana-Kabba road among others along that same axis.
2). Lagos-Sagamu-Ore-Benin road: An analyst noted that “If there is any road in the country that has portrayed successive governments in the country in bad light as failed governments in the last two decades, it is the Lagos- Sagamu –Ore –Benin road.” This road is not only bad and terrible for motorists, it is also a den of robbers where unfortunate passengers have been robbed and raped if their vehicles break down along the road. Travelling through the road is like travelling through the valley of the shadow of death.
3). Lagos-Ibadan expressway: Constructed in 1974, the 120-kilometre highway is the only major road linking Lagos to Ibadan and other states within and beyond the Southwest of the Nigeria. The FRSC reported that in 2012 that 775 people died in 2,075 accidents along this road. The main dangers along this major expressway linking other states to Lagos is that of unmotorable road and frequent accidents, largely caused by oil tankers and overspeeding vehicles on the expressway filled with potholes.
4) Okigwe-Umuahia road: The ever-busy Enugu Port Harcourt expressway has always been a death trap for commuters. While road contractors hired to repair and maintain the road had abandoned it due to funds not being released by the government, the roads have fallen into terrible disrepair and become a death-trap for motorists and passengers alike.
5) Otukpo-Otukpa road in Makurdi: It is true that Otukpo and Otukpa roads are both within Makurdi in Benue State, this is a major road where craters, gulley erosion, potholes, and even dare-devil robbers rule the road. From Otukpa to Otukpo, the ancestral home of Idoma kingdom; you’d be forced to dance along with your vehicle to no rhythm for close to four hours in the journey, which ought not to last for about one or 2 hours. A columnist wrote that “For regular travelers, the thought of venturing on Otukpa- Otukpo road is the beginning of a journey into uncertainties, eternity or the easiest way of booking appointment with fate and grave, nay a way of bring money for nearby coffin makers.”
6) Enugu-Awka-Onitsha road: The deplorable state of the highway linking Enugu, Awka, and Onitsha has forced hundreds of motorists to abandon the road and reroute via the old road from Udi to Awka. Several people have died in traffic accidents occurring on this road, and it continues to be a serious headache to passengers and motorists alike.
7) Kaduna-Abuja road: The Kaduna highway links many states in the north of the country to Abuja but boasts of over 400 potholes. In fact, the state of the road bears no image of a channel that links major states in the north to the Federal Capital Territory. An 18- seater Hummer bus was once involved in a ghastly motor accident that caused the loss of 14 lives along this road – they were all burnt to death beyond recognition. The vehicle had been coming from Kano State to Abuja.

I quote him because 1) PDP pays the dude nothing 2) Since he is not being paid, and as a concerned citizen, all he has to do is to look for ways to exploit his writting talents... 3) If he doesn't want to exploit that, he should look for a way to enlighten us on how to maximize the loopholes in the economy to help us all...
Not coming here and posting long but meaningless articles that gives room for more Hatred!!
Am sounding this way because I consider the guy intelligent... If it were to be some other clowns, I wouldn't quote because typing takes time, and Time is Money!!
#peace patriotism does not mean dat u should not say the truth as it is. Politics › Re: VP Osinbajo, Lai Mo'hamed And Their Deliberate Insult On Nigerians' Intelligence by engineerboat(m): 7:19pm On Mar 02, 2016 |
TonyeBarcanista: When President Buhari broke the news that he won't be paying N5,000 to 25 million Nigerians(which is contrary to his campaign promise), there was a reaction of feelings of betrayal of trusts across the country (though some of us weren't surprise). As if that was not enough pill to swallow, the Vice President's office released a statement denying the existence of such promise. This denial came 24hours after the government's spokesman Alhaji Lai Muhammed insulted Nigerians intelligence when he appeared on Channel's TV on February 28. According to Lai Muhammed
Nigerians may forgive President Buhari for failing to meet any of his unrealistic pledges but can we swallow the denial and insults on our collective intelligence from the government? I think it will be appropriate to address the claims of the Vice President and that of the Information Minister squarely before gullible Nigerians swallow them as truth.
1. VP Yemi Osinbajo Claim of No "Unemployment Benefit" Promise: It is never my intention to pick on Yemi Osinbajo, a man many see as the face of the righteous in government. It is however worrisome when the supposed model of Christians in politics engage in bareface lies just to suit interest of his government and group. First, he desecrated the pulpit by claiming that President Jonathan(and Yar'adua) built no road in 10years. Haba! As if that was not enough he has gone further to deny a key campaign promise of his party.
Was Yemi Osinbajo in limbo when APC Campaign team put up this billboard during the electioneering period? www.nairaland.com/attachments/3445387_127992549751789525280561129402990149661295n_jpeg76598e18400a93dc592a2ba28335e58a
Is Yemi Osinbajo saying that Hajiyya Aisha Buhari, the President's Wife was out of her mind when she reminded them to fulfil the promise on November 10, 2015 through her spokesperson Mrs Adebisi Ajayi?
Was Yemi Osinbajo in limbo when in November 2014 the Youth Minister in the presence of the National Chairman of APC, John Oyegun reiterated the government's pledge to pay the unemployment benefit?
Is the VP telling us that Nigerians are stupid? I won't be surprised if the VP comes tomorrow to deny ever pledging to pay the elderly and disabled that he made on January 7, 2015 in Osun state. Quoting his own words....
Or will Osinbajo also deny ever making such statement?
[b]2. Alhaji Lai Muhammed Blame on "Oil Price Fall": Speaking on Channels TV on Feb 28, 2015, Lai Muhammed said...
While I will not spend time to address the effort of the Information Minister to justify a deliberate act of deception, I find his deliberate act of blaming oil price as offensive and inappropriate.
Firstly, oil price started dropping in July 2014 when Buhari was yet to pick up APC Presidential nomination form. As at November 2014, the oil price downed to $77 per barrel from $105 per barrel in July 2014. As at December 2014 when Buhari won the APC ticket, the oil price was at $60.70 per barrel. As at January 2015 when APC inaugurated their Presidential campaign council and rolled out their gigantic promises, the oil price was at $47 per barrel. As at March 2015 when Buhari won the election, the oil price shot to $52 per barrel. As at April 2015 when Buhari was declared winner by INEC, oil price was $57.54 per barrel. There was NEVER a time that APC made ANY promise when oil price was selling at $100 per barrel. Is it that it is only Alhaji Lai Muhammed that was unaware of this? www.nairaland.com/attachments/3455590_lai20capture_jpegd895aac9577c47ba00897cb9a1f6895d (See more on oil price history here https://ycharts.com/indicators/average_crude_oil_spot_price)
The positions of VP Yemi Osinbajo and Alhaji Abdulai Muhammed is not only a slap on our intelligence but a scandal on the government of Buhari. The statement by Yemi Osinbajo, that is supposed to be the face of born again Christian believers(which I belong) is worrisome. Is this a government of promised change or a government of change of promise?
May God Bless Us All and Bless Our Nigeria This sets of people are PATHOLOGICAL LIARS, it runs in their blood. to make the matter worse their followers are swallowing the hooks and lines of their crooked lies. |

Now APC cannot use the centre to campaign as at now, maybe in FUTURE IMPOSSINLE TENSE TIME. 1. is it the padded budget, 2. Propaganda cannot work again, people are now wise, 3. Increase in dollar and nothing is done about it, 4. All campaign promises that they turn around dat those are campaign promises, 5. Can osun send any vehicle for campaign again, 6. And For You TonyeBarcanista, Can You Swear In Your Innermost Heart That President Buhari Has Not Scored above 80% in the following areas..
1. Oil Sector
2. Foreign Relation
3. Accountability and Transparency In Government Finance.
4. Security...
5 Anti Corruption.
6. Independence Of Judiciary and The Legislature
7. Free and Fair Election..
8. Revenue Drive...
Meanwhile The Economy and Infrastructure Development which had been bastardized and stalled respectively by your Hero, who ran the most corrupt Government in the in the history of Nigeria, cannot be repaired with any magic wand, rather by deliberate and gradual implementation of polices and programmes (like diversification of the economy, power rejuvenation etc) which may take 2 or more years to be measured and appreciated..
