Any 4 year degree from Ansu cannot assess a level 1 occupation with Vetassess because it’s regarded as an Associate degree and not Bachelor’s.
In your wife’s case, she can’t assess as a Biochemist. Also, she’s not a medical laboratory scientist, she only works in such organisation as a biochemist. These two are different occupations.

Also, the mixed crop thing won’t work as neither of you has a degree in agricultural related courses.
In your case, you have 5 options. Go through the tasks and rank them in the order of the relatability to your current role using the job descriptions,
We can also review data of which occupation has the better prospect.
Dear tunlex01

Thanks once again for your swift responds.
It is gradually becoming clearer and clearer to me now.

I would like to know, since you mentioned that 4 year degree in Ansu is regarded as an associate degree. What will be in my case since I graduated in same school and did only 4 years , mechanical engineering is 5 years course but because I already had 2 years Ordinary diploma in same MECH engineering, i started from 200L on a direct entry level , so does it mean in my case my B.Eng will be regarded as an associate degree ?

Also does the OND certificate contributes positively to this process ?

Before now, I have the intention to further my studies, is a masters degree relevant in this pursuit ?

A friend in Australia is strongly advising I use the 186 employer nomination scheme. But I need your expert advice and the one from the house here. On which best route or path to follow. Is my utmost heart desire to practice in Australia as an engineer.

As regards to Writing the CDR and the career episode, I’m already sensing these will pose as a serious challenge for me, please is there a way I can go about it.

Finally I still crave for your indulgence to have a one on one conversation through email or even phone conversation if possible. I do like to disclose a very confidential and important information about my immigration history and I will need your expert advice. Please
Can I start by writing you an email ?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Which university did your spouse graduate from? that is very important if she will get a positive assessment or not.

Check the occupation you can nominate. Look beyond mechanical engineer as it's very competitve.
Visit www.anzscosearch.com
You may need to register on the website to view the details below
On the top middle page click "Lists" (on a laptop/computer) or click the Hamburger sign (3 horizontal lines) to select "Lists" if you are using a mobile device
Go through the 3 lists MLTSSL, STSOL and ROL
Click any of the occupations that best relate to what you do.
When you click the occupation, scroll down to 'Anzsco code' and scroll to 'Tasks'
Check if the tasks relate to the occupation you have selected.
Revert here with occupation(s) you deem relate to what you do and we will take it up from there
Thanks for your reply @tunlex01

My wife graduated from Anambra state university. Same as me.

Please note: We have a farm, which my wife and I manages as a side business, it’s registered as a business name in 2020 with my wife and I as proprietors note we have the registration documents and bank account under the farms name, it’s not registered as a limited liability company, we primarily deals on egg production, broilers, we just started the pig rearing of late.

I could see the mixed livestock farmer in the ROL ( Regional Occupation List ) .

There is also the Poultry farmer under STSOL

Engineering manager - MLTSSL

Mechanical engineer - MLTSSL

Biochemist - MLTSSL

Medical laboratory scientist - MLTSSL

Fitters - Welder -MLTSSL

Mechanical engineering technician- STSOL

Mechanical engineering draftsperson - ROL

All the above occupation applied to both my wife and myself. Including the poultry farm as our side business.

Honestly I’m confused.

I know we were advised to ask questions and share all information here on this platform so others can learn. But Please there is something very very confidential I must share with you privately first, if you allow me I will share it here afterwards, we don’t know who might be viewing this thread at any point in time.
please I kindly crave your indulgence to write you personally via email after that we can proceed from here.

Thanks

Waiting for your reply.

Hi,

So many people will always say things like they are the immigration officer. I always tell people decision lies in the hand of the immigration officer.

Most times, what they require is a year tuition fee. And 90% of time, they don’t require statement of account for a level one school.

Don’t worry, you will get your grant by God’s Grace. Let me wish you in advance, welcome to Australia ✅
Amen.
Thank you I will return here to share the good news.

DreamlandAgency:
To be honest, you require a lot of funds. Australia is expensive. The school fees can range from $20k to 40k AUD annually (N7m to N14m) depending on the course and school.

You can have around N15m-N20m in your bank account to show Proof of funds. In most cases(if applying to a level one school), embassy doesn’t really require this. Only the school does.

For now, students can work unlimited hours. It’s a good opportunity to study and work. One of the best time to come to Australia as a Student.

You can send a message to hello@dreamlandintl.com for more info or to get started.

I wish you all the best.
Please sir @DreamlandAgency I already applied for Australia visa last month for Masters in engineering awaiting patiently for my grant, but my concern is I applied as self-sponsor. I submitted a 4 months statement of account showing monthly income and expenditure.
The closing balance in my salary account is 13.2m.
Even though my agent said that amount is enough that he has done for people with amounts less than that and they got their grants.

Please Note: my school is AL1 and I paid a tuition deposit of 14k AUD, this is not included in the 13.2m balance in my statement of account.

Some mates here said, it’s not good to apply as a self sponsor. Please is it detrimental to apply as a SELF SPONSOR ?

I appreciate your kind reply.

Vincentosa:
I think yes. If your circumstances has changed, and that you can now pass their gte test, etc. Give it a trial.
But one of the reasons most of these schools will reject an applicant is mostly due to the bad records set by some persons from your country of resident. For example, someone from Nigeria applied to XYZ University, and was offered admission got to the school and maybe left or change the course to a lower one. This can make the school to mark applicants from that country to be high risk to that school.
Baba I disagree with you on this, the truth is that these schools know that we are using the school as a medium to cross over and that’s why they charge such huge amount for international students and this is applicable to all schools in other countries all over the world , once you are an international student and you are not a citizen or PR holder, the school will make money from you as well generate revenue for their government.

Nothing like high risk because you left the school or change to much cheaper school there or even change course, even the schools know that this is the normal format nah, how you wan pay 97.000 AUD for a 2 year program or even 47,000 AUD for a year Tuition ? Nobody go pay that except folks from a rich home.

Tertiary institutions is not suppose to be too expensive as international student but if the country must favor you in future, then you must bring something to the table as you dey enter.

Do you know how cheap the citizens or those with PR pays for a Tuition for same course we international students pay heavily for ?

So nothing like flagging us cos we dey do the needful. If there is any such thing as flagging from school then nobody will enter Australia again.

If you know how cheap you can pay for a year tuition while in Australia already, you go marvel. But try use such schools to apply from here, your chances of getting a grant is slim or even rejection.

If the school decided to flag you or reject you, they judged your case as an individual not as a country.

Yes Nigeria is a high risk country based on other factors but not cos we dey change course or school, other immigrants/ students from other countries does same.

Big man, any anything on this situation ?
Still nothing bro, it’s already 3 weeks now and my application is still at ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER.

I don call access bank tire, really frustrating and my MSC offer is for May intake, so I’m thinking of canceling the application and using an alternative means even though it will be more expensive. If I wait for this people it may take 2 months to process this tuition payment.

I shouldn’t have cancelled that first application with stanbic IBTC, well my adviser to anyone who wants to apply for form A, is to avoid Access bank for now. Unless you have enough time to wait.

Anyone used Keystone bank for form A to pay tuition recently?

My application has been stuck at ADB disbursement review going to two weeks now. I’ve been contacting the bank but still the same story that my application is being processed.

I want to make this payment as soon as possible. Please is there any bank with guarantee that I’ll be debited under a week?
Dear Semtu,

I think this is a general situation with form A now, the problem is not just applicable to only certain banks, as I was informed the issue is from CBN.
I’m currently having this same challenge, initially I applied using Stanbic bank, after 2 days it was still at ADB_reviewer. I was advised here to use Access bank that they are faster, which I did.
I cancelled the first application with Stanbic IBTC , applied again using Access bank, within 24 hours my application got to ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER, but what happened after that ? For two weeks now , ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER dey look me, I Dey look am too. I don call bank tire, everyday I’m calling access bank, I have gone to the bank severally on same matter but to no avail.
Though someone said is good to use a less popular bank or bank wey no too get customers for the application, but here you are complaining with Key stone bank, that’s to tell you how terrible the country is now. Maybe dem wan reduce the rate of JAPA.
My advise to you as I was advised too is——WAIT.

So from experience there are 3 stages to the tradesystem.gov.ng review process. 1 Adb reviewer, 2 Adb supervisor and the final stage Adb disbursement.
This is when a form A number is generated for you...PLEASE NOTE an AF number at the point of application is different from a Form A number!
Your form still being at Adb reviewer has not been worked on at all.
The timeline for this is also dependent on the selected bank... i tried with stanbic and for over 48hrs it was stuck on Adb reviewer a friend tried with access bank and in less than an hour he got to stage 3, i had to cancel my application and applied afresh with access and yeah i also got to stage 3 in a couple of hours! So you can decide to try another bank or still exercise patience.
And please stop wasting your time calling the support line...dem no go pick till thy kindgom come, even emails bounce back...guess you can never rule out the Naija factor.
And I also applied to UNSW for may intake.... goodluck.
Hello Kos26
Pls I want to quickly ask. How long did it take access bank to process and wire your payment after the final stage “ADB_DISBURSEMENT”

Mike365:
Hello Engr. To keep it a buck with you, look out for other schools with cheaper tuition and cost of living ie perth and the regional areas if you are going to be paying out of your pocket. The observation is because of the high fees of UNSW (over 35/40k per year for international students @M.Sc level) and the cost of Sydney (East suburbs) where the school is located, some Nigerian students look for alternatives like Torrens University and transfer after 1 term at UNSW. If you are particular about Sydney also investigate Western Sydney Uni.

All the best
Thank you all for your inputs and answers. I really appreciate.

I know I’m going to change to a cheaper school after 1 term at UNSW that’s the plan, I also know that the chances for getting a PR is greater in regional areas.

But my question is if MSC in mechanical engineering is considered for PR or is PR worthy ?

Thanks so much for this important information, I actually adhere to your advice and it paid off, I canceled the first application with stanbic IBTC which have already stuck at ADB_REVIEWER for more than 48hrs and reapplied with Access bank, just yesterday night and this morning I’m at the 3rd stage “ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER”, note I called the customer service and explained how urgent The transaction is, and now I have the form number. Thanks once again for the help. So how long does it take from here for the payment to get debited from my account and for the school to receive ?

Thanks for your assistance.

Hello brother, of course, we are here to help each other. I have been helped too.

For Question 1, Kindly call your bank central customer service line, not the branch, please. Every bank has its central customer service line. Tell them it's urgent and you want them to debit you immediately. Tell them the action you them to take. Once they debit you, you will get the notification and if you use WU invoice, they send a mail informing you that they have received your payment via mail.

Once you have been debited and received the mail, call any branch customer care or do a walk in to any branch and tell the customer care you need your TELEX and boom they will download immediately and send to you.

2) You would have processed your insurance together with your tuition most school do that, but no worries, you can always get people within Aussie who can help you pay while you send naira equivalent. Send me email on this to share a contact.

Yes, if you are applying to an A1 university, it's a must to submit insurance before CoE is issued. Hope we are clear now

Have a beautiful day.
Hello Presh2021

Thanks for your reply and explanation below.
As regards to the question 1, I called my bank's central customer number and they informed me that the officials at the central bank of Nigeria have to first review and approve the transaction and then they my bank will now process the wire transfer. That the cbn must approve first. They suggested I call the numbers at the tradeservice.gov.ng and request for my application to be approved. I called the numbers no one picked.

Currently at the site I’m seeing ADB_REVIEWER, is there a way to speed up this process ?.

My admission is for May intake ( term 2 ). Hopefully I can meet up.

Again I would like to ask. Is Masters in mechanical Engineering PR worthy ? I already got OND, B.Eng here same in mechanical engineering.

School is UNSW

2.) How do i pay or process the payment for the OSHC, and at what time is the payment required ?

Hello EngrCGD,

I think you are overreacting and I quite understand. As already noted, Canada requires that applicants truthfully declare any information or past refusal(s). There is a column in the IMM 1294e form to indicate or declare any prior refusal(s).

Irrespective of the refusal(s) to other countries, Canada visa application is processed independently based on the visa requirements and been able to meet the requirements completely, which is also not a guarantee to count as positive. The prior refusal(s) to those country have no hold to your Canada visa processing if the application is well-packaged and done in honesty.

Despite the information sharing amongst the US, UK and Canada, I don't think your age discrepancy would be considered as a major factor to refuse your application by the Canadian VO if honestly declared and furnishing them with the appropriate document(s) to support the new claim.

There was an applicant whose husband was removed from the US. Thereafter, he applied for a visiting visa to the UK and got it despite been removed from the UK. Later on, he overstayed in the UK before he left. After a while, he applied to Canada for a visiting visa and was denied. When the notes came, nothing related to the US removal was stated nor the overstay in the UK just normal concerns of intent to visit Canada though his travel histories were noted. After the US removal, he had also travel to some Europe countries.

In summary, I am trying to say that the age and any sensitive information discrepancies can be corrected in your application to Canada. The consequences might not be favourable but its worth he risk that it may not be used against you if you can demonstrate a clear and genuine study intent. Its wise to let the VO know ab nitio before it becomes a discovery.

Get either of your parents to get a sworn affidavit attesting to the correct age and disregarding that which is in the passport with affirmation to been inputted as error by the issuing authority. Renew your passport to reflect the right age and then support the affidavit with your NIMC, WAEC or other relevant documents reflecting your correct age coupled with a Letter to provide the VO with appropriate understanding of your situation.

In my opinion, you shouldn't schedule that visa interview with the US consular. I think at this moment, you're allowing your emotions having a strong grip on the current situation of things and if not properly managed, it may affect your application to Canada in a very negative way.

In summary and base on my opinion, I think you should approach your application like any regular application and prepare for the worst even if the best is all you hope for.

All the best

Hello EngrCGD

Your situation is sad but I think you are not going about it the right way.

A visa interview is not a place to correct your wrong.
Going to a visa interview to do all what you mentioned will lead to a refusal and you’re only making your matters worse.

You will be asked if you have any been refused visa before. Your answer should be yes, then you will be asked the reason why. This is where you can say your truth, and you can also attach a letter of explanation concerning this issue to your application if you want.

My advice is, the truth will set you free. Say the truth in an official manner. Put emotions aside and be realistic.

If you need professional help, find an IRCC registered consultant (make sure they are registered o) and they’ll assist. It’s pricey but they’ll handle it better.

Best wishes

Thank Chocs for your input and reply.

Honestly i'm having a lot sleepless nights on this issue, seriously i'm regretting all this anomaly.

Please i have two additional questions as regards to this issue.

1.) First i don't know if misrepresentation is considered a serious criminal related issue/offense such as drugs, money laundering, terrorism etc, though i know it is a crime and it is subject to being inadmissible in US immigration law however do i go ahead to tell the the truth to the Canadian VO that i purposely and ignorantly agreed with an agent to increase my year of birth and filled up other misrepresentation data when i applied for the US visa and was denied 3 times and i that also went ahead to apply for UK visa which i was denied on the ground of insufficient fund only?

2.) Even before the thought of applying for Masters to Canada , i already decided that i will apply for US visiting visa , not for the purpose of travelling actually but to RIGHT ALL WRONGS, i will going there during the interview, i will openly inform the consular , i have no intention to travel, i only want to make a confession, i will tell him/her that i only came here to free myself of the constant guilt feelings, that i'm truly sorry for what happened few years ago and that i wish i was never there and it never happened, that i acted on impulse, despite the fact that everything that was misrepresentation have come to pass , such as
- My age was increased up to 7 years, 2013 till now is 7 years already, i could have waited...
- The agent stated in the application form that i was married, then i wasn't, but now happily married.
- The agent stated i was a university graduate, but then i was only an OND graduate, but right now i have a B.ENG also and have served.
- That i was gainfully employed , all not true , right now not just self-employed but an employer of labor
oh how i wish this never happened.

So my friends and the gurus in the house, should i go ahead and book an appointment at US embassy to report myself and correct my bio data and update my true profile with them , i'm willing to accept whatever is the consequences of my action and to plead for forgiveness rather than waiting for them to find out ? or should i avoid US embassy for the remaining years since i heard biometric data takes about 10-15 years to expire and get wiped on their system, please how true is this , i need help ?

3.) Finally how do i go ahead to explain all these on a note to the Canada VO or should i just tell them only about the discrepancy on my passport year of birth that it's a mistake that was done at immigration and that i was asked to use the passport until when it expires so thecorrect changes can be made, and that now i have gotten a new passport with the correct data, if i just state it this way, what about the wrong profile with the US and UK, will they be able to get that information from these embassies. I'm confused

I'm really confused and lost right now, please help a brother, or should i suspend applying for this study visa until after 10-15 is completed from 2013/2014 so this biometrics at both embassies must have expired

But i really need to apply for my masters, this is the best time to do this as i wouldn't want to have a case of a STUDY GAP in future, and i'm very sure to get the visa considering my TIES, status and educational history ( OND mechanical, B.Eng mechanical, and intended Masters also mechanical ) but this issue at hand is discouraging me, or should i go ahead apply for the study visa (masters) for my wife instead though she prefers to manage our businesses here , she studies Biochemistry (2.1 ) and won't this still come back to hurt me even if i try to avoid it , please guys help me with the best advise right now.

Waiting for your inputs.

Please my friends help a brother.

1) YES! Please make sure you indicate if you’ve been denied visa to any country! as they’ll still find out and it can lead to a 5 year ban.

2) It shouldn’t have any effect, if you are truthful about the reason, except it was a criminal related issue

3) They all share information, so if you lie, they’ll still find out. And you’ll get a ban from Canada.

4)if I were you, I’ll attach a small note to explain the error in the date of birth then I’ll do an affidavit in a court, declaring my real date of birth and attach it. That should sort it out.

Best wishes

Hello gurus in the house, good morning

@Frankrobbn1
@naijaforeigner
@JustMellow
@Lekiboboe
Etc

Please i need your answers on my below questions;

1.) When filling the Canada study permit form, does the form require one to indicate if you have been denied any country Visa previously especially US and UK ?

2.) If YES, does previous US and UK visiting visa denials have any effect on the outcome of your Canada Study permit Visa ?

3) Please is it true that UK, US , Canada and Australia share same biometric data with each other or information of applicant denied a visa ?

4.) Lastly please i have a very important issue bothering me which have prompted all the above questions, sometime in 2013 and 2014 i was denied a US and UK visas and the date of birth on my international passport was incorrect ( Wrong year of birth but with correct Month and day of birth) , the visa agent filled up some misleading information to correspond with the age increase ( About 7 years added to my real age) , then i was so desperate to travel, i only have my my OND cert then, after the visa denials i decided to stay back and further my education, so i later proceeded and got my B.ENG , now i want to apply for masters in canada and i'm well established here in Nigeria with 2 companies, married with other TIES, i have been living with the guilt of the misleading data on my passport and information at the US and UK embassies and because the wrong DOB will not also correspond with the DOB on my educational document ( e.g WAEC) i have applied to go to Abuja soon to correct the information and have the date of birth correct on a new passport to apply for the canada study permit.

Now my biggest fear is, if the Canada consulate will get my previous data information from the US or UK embassy.
I have not seen the Canada Study Visa form if the question for previous visa denial for US , UK or any other country will be asked or not, but definitely i'm willing to say the truth in my application and ready to face the consequences, i just want to make everything right , i regret my action few years ago. I was misled by the visa agent then.

NOTE: i traveled to Dubai twice (2013 and 2016) with the wrong year of birth, though the passport with the wrong year of birth is expired and like i said, i will soon have a new one with the correct data.
UK informed then that i had insufficient funds as reason for denial while US, didn't give any reason for the denial, simply was denied after interview.

Please kindly reply my above questions and advise me on what to do guys. Please help a brother, i'm really bothered.

@Lekiboboe Thanks so much for your assistance, this is really helpful.

Please i do like to ask few more questions;

1.) Do i need to state in the SOP that i was recently offered an admission in same masters program here in Nigeria but opted out and decided to broaden my knowledge in my field of study by applying to study in a Canada University and then include admission offer as proof , will this be an added advantage or should i completely leave that out and not mention it.
2.) Secondly do i need to apply for a full time or part time Masters program.

I look forward to your kind reply and clarification.

Please everyone , i do like your inputs on my below questions earlier especially the unanswered No. 6 and 8

Regards

Hi EngrCGD,

Due to the competitive nature of graduate school (M.SC/PHD) in Canada, don't limit yourself to any top ranking skool, widen your admission horizon so u can av lots of options if a particular skool don't click, at least work towards 10-15 schools for ur Mech. Engineering Masters.

You can also work towards a Full or Partial Funding Thesis-based Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

Note:
All schools in Canada are very ok (at least 85% upward).

Sequel to that,

Visit the link below and google/explore the Masters in Mechanical Engineering Program in Canadian Universities (DLI) as much as you can.
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Mechanical+Engineering&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

then make use of the content below to Start your Masters in Mechanical Engineering Admission Process.

Visit the link below for
Guides/contents/videos in the link below on how to apply for M.SC & also possible M.SC Funded (Scholarship) Position in Canada

Your Status & ur number 1-6 shows you have good HomeTies-Famiy Ties- Economic Ties and you established in your home country (Nigeria)

1) Like I said initially, don't limit yourself to any top ranking skool, widen your admission horizon so u can av lots of options if a particular skool don't click, at least work towards 10-15 schools for ur Mech. Engineering Masters

2) Yes, note that most schools will require IELTS/TOEFL, but since you come from an English Speaking Country (Nigeria) you are exempted

3) As regards Low tuition sch. for M.SC, they do mention Memorial University at New Foundland (MUN) here in the forum, u can check the skool out for their Masters in Mech.Engineering,

Also try to consider applying to lots of schools and work towards getting a Full/Partial Funded (Scholarship) thesis-based Masters in Mechanical Engineering

4) Google the skools to know their Refund policy

5) I will advice, for now you should apply alone and go without your Wife & Kids, they serve as your Hometies (i.e Something that can compel u to come back to Nigeria after your studies). It is highly mandatory of you to show that u gonna be coming back to Nigeria after your studies.

9) No one can assure you of ur chances of getting a Visa, it all depends on your due diligence and how you fulfil all righteousness as regards your Canada Study Visa Application.

Also, a Visa Officer do make decisions at their own discretion

You can help yourself by getting some Enlightenment & Education as Regards Canada Study Visa Via the Link below

4.) School with refund policy should in case of visa refusal ( though i'm very much positive).
5.) What is my chances of getting the visa if i apply along side my wife and daughter as dependent or should i apply alone and later can file for them to join me over in Canada if the Visa is granted ?
6.) Do i need my wife's approval if i inform the VO that part of my company funds will be used to sponsor my Masters degree program ?
7.) Do i need to build my personal bank account to have the required funds to cover my travel expenses and as well as the tuition fee, maybe after paying the first year tuition fee though depends on school.
8.) Do i need to start paying self salary from my both companies or this is not necessary?
9.) Finally what is my chances of getting the visa with my above STATUS.

Please help a brother, so i can know where and how to start.

Thanks and anticipating your kind assistance.
