Thank your star that they did not ban you for 5 years. Be very careful in your next application and ensure to give full details of this and previous refusal. You have to write a convincing letter that it was an oversight

My application was refused because I did not declare previous refusal. This was an honest oversight because when I was filling the form I tick no in all those places thinking they were all the usual background questions about criminal, terrorism, drugs and health questions. But I tackled my previous Canada denial in a cover letter. I have been to the US, UK and France with my UK visa due to expire in two weeks and my US last month. The training I wanted to attend is in mid January. I have been told to reapply if I think I can respond to these concerns. Will it still be same 72 days processing time if I reapply?

I submitted the online application before I went for the trip. I doubt if there are ways of readjusting already submitted application. I checked yesterday to observe that they have started the review of my eligibility.

My travel date is December but my application was submitted in September. I had to urgently do the UK trip before it expires as I had other pressing engage thereafter.

You are in order. Just that it really won’t make a significant difference per se, but it counts, especially if your intended Canada travel date is far away.

Will even suggest you readjust everything about the Canada travel date to next summer or Easter at the very nearest and upload in addition to the new travel history....

But having a valid visa may not necessarily indicate that you have travelled out of the country or use the said visa, so I was thinking send mail may help show that the visa has been used and improve my already low travel history.

Just my thought. You may be right.

I don’t think it’s important to send any boarding pass showing you travelled to the Uk because when you were applying you obviously added scanned copy of visas on your passport so they can already see that there is a valid UK visa in your passport. That’s just my own view though

My online application which was submitted on the 22nd September only has UAE as my travel history and an unused valid UK visa. However, after submission, I did a trip to the UK for 10days in the month of October.

It is necessary send a mail to them and attached the stamped visa, passport, boarding pass and other information to show additional travel history.

If yes, how do I get there contact mail?

I agree that UK/Canada seems to have the best system and the US have to embrace the same practice. While document can be frauded as claimed by US officials, the advent of technology and thirty party agreement has made it difficult for applicants to fake bank statements. This implies that you are almost certain not to be issued a visa if your account lacks sufficient fund and any indication that you may have lodge some money for the application process. Salary payment into a verifiable account shown that such applicant works with the company and earn salaries.

With the US system, professional liers/trained actors can easily convince the VO to get his or her visa approved with zero account balance and little or no home ties because the questions are generic.

I will agree with you to some extent. While we try to encourage people to be truthful, blunt and build a strong profile before heading to the US embassy, it is really difficult to definite what is a strong profile and how the VO truly assess potential immigrants and visa approval in general.

I have seen lots of people with well-documented travel history, good home tie, and amazing well paying job in Nigeria denied US visa with cogent reason. In fact, many of these people will never abandon their job and stay in the US illegally. On the other hand, I know people with clear intention to escape the hardship in Nigeria who got the visa without a single travel history. A prime example is a family residing in my neighborhood. This family has not even visited Ghana, the agent gave them a fake job and duties(federal government job when in actual fact, they were petty traders), fraud bank statement and a claim of a family visit to Disney World. I was shocked when they got the visa. They sold everything they have left and traveled since last year to permanently reside in the US which was the intention from day one.

After seeing those cases above and many more, I came to the conclusion that the process lacks merit and involve a certain level of luck which ranges from poor visa officer emotion to your response to the visa officer"z question. Most importantly there is a God factor which should never be ignored.

i know people in here are trying to stay truthful and blunt as always but all i see here most times in negative comments towards people seeking for advice . You might have the shittiest profile and yet be given visa and you have the best profile and be denied. I have come to the conclusion that given the US is based on luck, just make sure your story is as true as possible and hope for a positive outcome. No one here is related to a VO nor knows the true guidelines given to VOs to grant visa , so if you going to apply to take it like you are gambling , if you get it GOOD, if you don't , try again but know from there on your story must align with your previous applications.

I guess my document is obviously too much. I have used all the possible pdf compressor yet I can't reduce it below 5.4mb. Thinking of removing some files but wondering if those removed document may be the magic medicine.

I don't think it's wise to upload a document to another opening, it can confuse the VO and delay application.

All efforts to reduce document has proved abortive.

While some uploaded sections(Travel history, business, and passport) has little or no documentation, I am struggling to compress my mean of financial support and client details to 4MB. Does it make sense and less confusing to move some of those documents to travel history and business section?

After battling to drop it to 5.3MB with adobe distiller, I could not even read the document...

You are correct, but in the aspect of invitation, each community has entities that organises free seminar to prospects. All that i did was to get booked for 3 of those seminars which I included in my application.
And when my application was taking eternity to get approved, I kept booking another seminar which I was attaching through their web form.

Thanks for your swift reply. This is a an eye opener, especially as one does not need to have that cash (500,000 and 300,000 CAD) in his/her account at the time of application. However, I doubt if an account that is less than 10m naira which is about #37,000 CAD will fly for that purpose.

In a nut shell, For an account that is less than 10m and without invitation, this looks like a better alternative to strength the purpose of visit then saying you are traveling for vacation.

Saskatchewan and British Columbia has a PR program for entrepreneurs. And before you can file in your application, you are required to come for an exploratory visit in the community.

You need to have a total networth of CAD $500,000 and be willing to invest CAD $300,000 to qualify. The good news is you dont need to proof or show you have above amount of money when applying for TRV in order to conduct the exploratory visit.

But I guess you might need to submit a very healthy business account that has a good cashflow since the program is designed for entrepreneurs and you need to convince IRCC you are indeed one. Since you are going for business I will advice you apply alone.

Can you please throw much light on exploratory visit?. I intend applying for a tourist visit but I fear my application may be denied because of my express entry profile although my score is very far from recieving ITA in the nearest future except i get employer who will engage me. For me the alternative is to use conference, unfortunately, I can't find a conference that is specifically related to my job in Canada for the next 8 months.

In 2014 i was in UAE and i travelled to the UK is 2019.

Sorry about your brother's refusal @IamR , From what i could gather, it is apparent your brother is a high networth individual. DM me so that I can guide you how I changed my purpose of visit from just a vacation that earned me a refusal to exploratory visit where I stated boldly I am interested in becoming a Permanent Residence but needed to come around to explore business opportunities.

Morning bibi. You can't view those documents on the CIC website after submission. You can only see their names as uploaded.

The best thing is to preview before uploading. If per chance the documents become corrupt during the upload process I believe CIC may give you a chance to send another one if they need it.

Ordering GCMS Plus notes can provide you with access to those documents later on if you so desire.

I heard from an unreliable source that application from Abuja center is treated/responded to faster than those coming from Lagos.

How true is that claim?

I mean when i return back to Nigeria, my sweet father land.
I was recently issue the UK visa.I want to travel to ghe UK and return on the 17th Oct and have my Canada tourist visa biometric done on the 18th Oct for a possible trip April.

I can't believe it takes a whole five months (March, April, May, Jun, Jul) to determine if they will approved or refuse visa application request. I guess you may taken a full truck load of documents to them and you have lots of travel history.

You are not too early my brother. I applied in [b]March and got passport request in July [/b]and if you see my earlier post till now my passport is not yet returned to me. That's almost 6months. Some are lucky though they get decision early. But bottom line is October is not too early.

Yes. I have a travel history. Actually, I went to UAE with my family far back in 2013, however, I don't see it as a yardstick for this visa because my first application, which was submitted 9 months ago was refused.

I submitted in Abuja center and I didn't use priority. I was shocked to observe that it was concluded so fast despite having my departure date for August 19.

Surprisingly, the visa has an effective date of 12 August.

That was fast, did you use priority service?

As soon as you pick up your passport, you either see a refusal letter inside or a visa inside. You don't usually know the outcome until you pick the passport.

I recieved same mail from UKVI that my application has been concluded on the the 18th of July and presently awaiting VAC mail for pick up.

I picked you my passport today with 6 months visa. This was my second application. My first application came back with a refusal letter with the claim that my fix deposit is in doubt and how I accumulated such wealth.

As advised by justice and co, I addressed that section by providing answers to how I got the money although I have an unregistered business which makes up 70% of my fund, I just told them is it a side business and I provided receipts, invoices and legal commission agreement with the company.
( Note: I addressed my denial on the extra section of the application form and cover letter. Also, note that my employer does not pay money into my account. We receive salaries by hand).

Biometric- 1st July
DMC mail- 15nd July
VAC mail - 17th July
DHL pass- 20th July

6 months Visa issued.
