I will address the reason why my previous application letter was denied. Although In my application, I started that I don't have families or friends in the UK.

Can't I change my purpose is visit(from tourist to visiting a friend) since somebody is sending an invitation?

Can he send me invitation while I contain go maintain that I am going for tourism?

Zika01:
Why not address the reason for your refusal and apply again. I’m sure you must have declared that u don’t have any family or friend in the Uk. Paste your refusal letter here removing personal details so that the gurus here can help you.

Hello Justwise,

I was earlier refused tourist visa sometime in September 2018. Despite having a friend in the UK, I wrote that i don't have anybody because i don't want to worry my friend with a document. He later got to know that i was denied visa and he wants me to apply again when he provide me invitation letter, accommodate me and his bank statement.

Should I click "Visiting Friend " Or "tourism" as the main reason of visiting the UK?

That's not true. You don't need to write an English test(IELTS) to obtain a UK spouse visa. Let's give appropriate information.

eduson33:
Yes you need to write IELTS. II read somewhere on this forum that someone got rejected for that.
just avoid stories.

Having see the refusal letter and heard my stories on cash investment- without record of initial course and state of my salary cash collection as well as sponsorship, what would you advice me to do?.

justwise:
Why would you do that? So if asked why you were refused previously what will you say?

Using a sponsor will not help your application

Sorry for my repeated questions on the way forward.

1. My company does not operate a staff salary account. They pay directly by hand and you received a payment slip, which clearly indicate how salary was received. Same pay slip was attached to my submitted document.

2. Source of the money is from my father land which was sold as my brother transferred into my account sometimes in 2015. I choose to invest it instead of wasting it. It is clearly not from my salary.

Having looked at my case, would you advise I wait a little longer and reapply again without making mention of the reason why I was previously refuse or I should use the sponsor and don't make mention of the investment.

Biko, help.... I don't want to make another mistake.

I don't think you understood that section of your refusal letter, the ECO is questioning the source of that money because is larger than your stated salary, basically how were able to save from your salary to invest such amount.

Secondly..your salary doesn't reflect in your account regularly, so the amount you stated as your salary does show in your account on monthly basis.

Those are the main issues you need to address if you want to reapply

Thanks Justwise. I can't appreciate you enough for this guidance and selfless zero fees service to me. Thanks.

Attached is my refusal letter and the main notable reason is the fixed deposit investment from zenith bank. Although i have been receiving letters from the bank monthly on investment profit and increasing sum, I don't know how to explain the initial deposit of 5m,which grew to that amount, because my uncle sold our family property in a choice area and he transferred my own share to my account many years over and to avoid spending it unwisely, I kept it over the years in a fixed deposit.- which the UK acknowledged with the word "OVER YEAR YEARS"

How do I address that with evidence since it came from my brother's account? However, I have monthly statement of the account since day one and the statement was earlier added to my previous application. At the time of my previous application my regular bank statement was 1.6m. It is now 1.5m while the deposit has grown further to around 7.2m.

justwise:
It's 50/50 situation, you have to address the issue led to your previous refusal first, any financial document you are submitting has to be supported by evidence of how you earned that money.

Thanks for your reply.

My brother, the only thing that have changed is the sponsorship letter and promised to take care of my trip, nothing else.

What has changed since your last refusal?

@Justwise and others,

Please, I need your candid advice on this issue. I applied for the UK visa 5months ago and I was denied on the account that the does not believe that genuinely have the financial to find the trip and the source cash of my fix deposit is in doubt.

Note that my total official earnings are #130,000k while I had others source of income which amounts to #100,000 monthly.

I recently discussed with my friend in the UK and she was furious that I didn't communicate with her before applying. She wants me to reapply again and she promised to sponsor, as well as provide all the necessary documents which include the photocopies of her UK passport, bank statements, and others.

What are your advice? Is it the right time to reapply or I should hold for much longer. Note that my financial situation has been changed since the first application.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Enick:
I want to appreciate Ekpoteh and Omicron for your prompt response and also those who have made various contributions.

1. I don't really have enough documentation to support the fund because I do some side business and properties sales where I get commissions. The initial fix amount in January 2017 was 4.5m but I have kept moving money from my account to increase the fix deposit amount.
I explained in my cover letter that I received rent and sales commission. A duplicate copy of receipt provided as well as a sales commission contract agreement with a firm.

2. I traveled with my wife and daughter to Dubai in the year 2014. I own building, lands and business trucks(do weekly balancing to me) in Nigeria.

After the refusal letter, I spoke with a friend in the UK and she was bitter about it and promised to send me invitation letter, her UK passport, properties(houses documents and other investment documents), bank details and other documents. She also offered to accommodate me and take care of my living expenses during my stay.

Do you think this would help?
If yes, how early should I reapply?
Do you think I should add the Fix deposit again and explain a little or just remove it?.
I'm thinking of using same document for reapplication, but just pay slip, leave letter and bank statement. What is your opinion?

ekpotek:
The ECO is worried about the source of fund in your fixed deposit. Where did you get the fund from? You will need to explain this with documents vis-a-vis your monthly pay. Have you traveled ouside the country before on tourism? If you hava e da ocument showing how you raise the fund for the initial fixed deposit, you can reapply. However, the ECO likely to scrutinize your previous travel history as a tourist.

Hi Ekpotek.

I applied my UK visa but was refuse on the ground thag i did not mention how I got the fund in my fixed deposit account. Surprisingly this amount was fixed since January 2017 yet the ECo thinks the money would not be available for me.

What would your advise me to do?
How soon should I reapply?

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Enick:
Good evening.

Please, I got my refusal today and i am so depressed with the reasons for refusal. I would appeal if everyone with experience can see the refusal and candid opinion.
Thanks.
