I guess he or she had someone in Canada who sent him or her invitation letter. It is extremely difficult to get Canada Tourist visa without Travel history and Invitation.

Not necessarily, my MIL got her visa without travel history. You just have to prove you have ties in Nigeria, properties/job things like that.

After getting a 6months visa and used it for 12 days stated in my application, Can I apply for 2 years tourist?

The only reason why I would like a 2years is to have a valid visa in my passport for the next 2 years and would be able to travel anytime I like without gathering documents now and then if I intend to travel.

Can I state the above as the reason for a 2years visa in my cover letter or it is not necessary?

Will the 6months cover letter I used previously be so much different from the one I intend to use for 2years?

A friend of mine wants to find out his chance of getting a study visa.

He was denied a visiting visa in 2017.

Reapplied again for visiting visa last year(Jan 2020) but the appointment was canceled due to covid and has never tried to secure an appointment again.

And he currently has a petition. His elder brother in the US submits an i-130 alien petition for him early this January 2021.

He intends to go for a master's program in any STEM course although he completed his Bachelor of Science program in Nigeria 10years ago.

If you are talking about the F4 category immigrant petition visa, you may have to wait for 14years. It is often a long wait.

You don't need to write any letter or explain why you need a 2 years visa. Just go ahead and make payment.
You can apply for 5 years if you have the finance.

10years visa a amazing! I have received in the past 6months visa twice and I intend applying for 2 years visa in the next few minutes. My intention to going to 2 years is to save myself the stress of reapplying every year for 6 months visa.

No, I didn't use my dad as my sponsor because of a lot of documentation that is involved( I like keeping my application simple and straightforward). I only increase my travelling expenses ( instead of 2 months i used 2 months plus but not up to 3 months)

I used the same document I use Initially for my 6months visa but just added some information on my application form like my aunty's information not document.

I received this mail from US support after writing to them to inquire about the validity of my visa fees since it has exceeded one year because my earlier appointment was canceled due to covid and I have not been able to book another appointment within the timeline.

It is advicable to provide them the details attached?

The address on my app has my current house address. Upon printing my statement, I realized it has my family house.

How do I explain the reason to be granted 2 visa when I only intend to visit for 10 days only.

I previously applied for a 6months UK visa in January last year. It was approved and I used it in October for just 10 days trip.

I intend to travel again in January 2021 and I want to apply for a 2 years visa instead of 6months.

It is a better idea to go for a 2years visa or stick with 6months for now? The sole reason for thinking of 2 years is to avoid another stress of the application process if need be to visit within 2 years.

I would like to learn so much about trading in the stock. I have downloaded and installed Bamboo and hoping for advise, books and other learning tools on how to comment.

I don't know much about it but I am ready to learn and master the skills requires in trading.

I doubt if having a baby in the UK automatically makes that child a UK citizen. It is a very long process to citizenship.

Would it have been better to state only a single location like Orlando rather than listing various locations?

Newyork is among the us states near canada, and many nigerians/illegal aliens hv easily crossed over ro canada by foot.....so its likely gonna be a huge red flag for rhw VO, not withstanding ur supzd good intentions..
If you still insist of going this route, you better book and print ur ny to florida ticket for the interview....
Hope rhe supzd difference in flight fare is worth all this hassle?

Flight from Nigeria to New York is far cheaper and it saves the family lots of money for other purposes while the revert is the case for Florida.
And I am thinking of overcoming the challenge at POE explaining that I am going to Florida as stated in my application but suddenly landing at JKF.

If I recall correctly, you can put two or more employment in the DS160. If you leave end date of both employment as ongoing, you have satisfied Q1 of your post

Q2. Five years is five years. Leave it like that. When VO receives your Passport at the interview, they will see the visas and immigration stamps.

Q3. You can do anything in the USA. Just make sure you clearly have a realistic itinerary to show the vacation spots and travel.

Florida to NY involves some commute time and cost. Additional boarding/ travel needs to be factored

When a VO mentally calculates cost of flight from NG to NY and OR and back with a family unit, feeding, shopping etc against combined income of both adults...

I will appreciate feedback on this.

Considering the recent trend of difficulty in obtaining a US visa, would it be wise for me to apply with my family of four for Esther holiday or better and stronger tie if I apply alone?

Far back in 2014, I did a family vacation to UAE but without my last daughter who was unborn at that time. In January 2019, I traveled alone to the UK for vacation. So I am thinking of visiting the US but I want to find our ways to improve my/our chances of getting a visa.

What were the reasons for his first refusal? How many months ago was his first application?


Did he order gcms note after the first application? If not, I will advise he does not apply again until he has a copy to the note to the more accurate on how he was refused.

However, before I could send a mail, I received a visa denied mail for my husband. See attached the reason for d refusal which doesn’t make sense for the following reasons:
1) My husband First degree was in Uk and on completion, he came back back to Naija, been to US twice and Dubai once.
2) family ties in canada- he does not have anybody in canada and we are his family ties here in naija apart from his mother and siblings
3)purpose of visit was for “ “vacation”, which we clearly stated all d places he will visit.

Can you guide what went wrong as this is d 2nd time he is being denied canada visa?

Lastly, I am yet to receive my final decision,what are my chances of getting a visa since my husband, the main applicant, has been denied.

The single reason for refusal is PURPOSE OF VISIT.

It is better to apply with my family or my chances are higher if I reapply alone. I earlier apply alone, unfortunately, I was denied.

You need to send them a mail or call them. 93 days is obviously too long and way passed the stipulated date for visa application process.
