@Op, leaving the church angrily because you were scolded or ordered to go tuck in your shirt by your pastor is very wrong I must tell you. My questions to you..

1. Will you leave your job for another because you were scolded by your boss in front of your colleagues?

2. Will you forfeit your admission and rewrite another jamb because your lecturer scolded you in the presence of your classmates for not dressing properly to class? ( Law students know what I mean)

3. Do you benefit from the teachings your pastor share from the pulpit? If yes, why angry that you where corrected by your own pastor.

I'll will put it to you with due respect OP that it was pride that made you leave the church angrily that faithful day because you were instructed to go out and tuck in your shirt.

I am sure that you weren't the only member in church that did not tuck in to church that day. Why you? Think about it

My word for you op, please go back to the church and apologize to your pastor if truly it's just what you narrated here that made you leave. Remember prov 4:6
You never know how far your talent can take you. Humility is key to success in life
Apologize fire! Pastors have introduced their doctrine...

No pastor can tell me that nonsense too... I will call him out asap...

embarassed cry
Shame on Nigeria.

We value the west more than our own.

-If LASG will pay for Holyfield to visit Lagos as a guest when Bash Ali is a tenant in Lagos.

-When we celebrate Halloween and demonize the Oro and Ekpe festivals.

-When Government officials use BMWs and Mercedes Benz when we have Innosons and yet scream buy Nigerian to grow the Naira

-When we watch Kaitlyn Jenner's show on E! and call Denrele and Bobrisky perverts.

-When PeterPsquare, an Anambra boy goes to London just to watch live Chelsea FC matches yet he has never been to the Ifeanyi Uba FC Stadium at Nnewi.

-when herdsmen slaughters are not talked about by supposed celebrities but you hear them tweet #PrayForParis and co.

When will we value our own
When will our inferiority complex end

Still I weep
Apt!

2019 is upon us and we would keep blaming ourselves and go to the polls with no realistic alternatives to these pdp and apc breed of politicians who are one and the same. I will keep saying that until the younger generation, I mean the saner ones come together to participate squarely on national issues we won't go anywhere.

These politicians know how to manipulate us. OMOKRI didn't find it worthy to tell the then government to do all these. My take, let's stop fighting for these politicians.
They have schemed out the younger generation with the age restrictions. Until they remove age clause, it will difficult for younger people to hold political office.

I heard on the radio this morning that the deputy Senate president is pushing to remove the age restriction on political offices.

If nothing is working in your state blame your leaders both past and present, if Fulani herds men are killing your people blame the state house of assembly for not making laws. It's time to call a spade a spade, Igbos holds the economy of Nigeria and yet they are not united. Very shameful, with all their wealth they can't build an airport, what are your governors doing? Where are the Igbos that Queen Elizabeth met in the 1950s , marveled by the type of structures they have in the east? Instead they are busy developing the north with 5star hotels. Please, lets stop blaming Federal government or political parties, blame your leaders.
They need to make money now. Don't blame them for building hotels that will generate revenue for them. A business man will always move to places where he can either sell his goods or produce it cheaper. However, people should start holding their leaders responsible (e.g. House of reps, Senators, govs etc).

I'm Igbo but I'm tired of passing the buck. Why can't we continue to fight to bring those infrastructures instead of throwing unnecessary jabs
Same points i raised. Infrastructures as we see in Nigeria has to be fought for or negotiate deals to bring to development to your region. You just dont assume that things should come to you by doing nothing. Form powerful lobby groups and lobby to bring devt to your states and region as a whole.

The other day, i was reading about the American democracy and came to a realization that senators & congressmen from the different states in the US lobby the Federal govt hard to bring resources to their states. They cut deals that will benefit their people rather than think about their own pockets alone. Its not a perfect system but it brings results.

What is funny is some Nigerians particularly yorubas think it's natural and okay for Lagos to have 2 seaports and largest functional international airport by design and for SE to have none. Some actually think Lagos has all these ports and airport by merit. When you try to to reason with them that why are Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, Onne and Onitsha ports not as functional as Lagos ports, they come up with all manners of excuses but you tell that that Dangote is using Calabar seaport to import most of his goods into SE, and then they keep quiet.Lol! Same goes for the airport, why are Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna and Kano the only functional airports in the country for international direct flight services? The fact is if you go right now, I mean now, to Lagos and Abuja, count and interview those traveling to international destinations, I assure you over 50% are Igbos. Then why can't they travel directly from Enugu, Uyo, Calabar, Asaba or Port Harcourt? Same goes for their goods...all these companies Reno talked about in Nnewi, Aba and Onitsha import their goods via Lagos port, that's over 1000 kms drive and paying all kinds of customs fees and bribes on the way to finally make it to SE, and you tell me this is fair?

Yorubas...how will you people feel having to drive 1000kms to SE to fly and clear your goods? Not only do you do this one time only but a constant thing for the past 50 yrs? And you tell it's ok? Yorubas....where are your conscience? Do you people have feelings at all? Do you have hearts? I commend Fayose and Fani but more yorubas need to come out and condemn this evil and wickedness!
I feel you. However, you are directing your anger at the wrong tribe.. Everything you see in Yorubaland are fought for by their leaders (either through blood, protests, deals/alignment etc) and its a known fact that the Yoruba lands progressed when it was a western region that the current reality of 36 individual states.

Its time you hold your leaders accountable, what have they been doing with their time and energy?

You don't understand I hadn't the luxury of learning Yoruba in school because most of my classmates were of extraction moreover pidgin and vernacular were never allowed (sounds nice but that's uncool)... I only know phrases and greetings like ba wo ni? bebe nlo? kilo de? shofe kun hahaha, etc I can't hold a fluent convo in Yoruba it hurts, I really want to,everybody just dey form for this Lekki,Ajah side,I grew up in Surulere Suburbs, Coker,Aguda,Bode-Thomas,Palmgroove and Eric Moore axis to be pinpoint accurate and anybody familiar with this areas will agree with me that main Yoruba is spoken within Baale street axis of Orile and I wasn't given such freedom to explore...learning it online is my only option now...BTW I no dey enter market, someone does that.
Ahan! I grew up around Palmgrove axis and there are lots of people that speaks the language around here..

To learn it is easy, you need friends that are fluent and not shy to speak the language in public (Some misguided people think that its uncool to speak your native language in public).. I speak my language anywhere and encourage people to speak them to my kids.

You might need to visit the markets once in while to relate with those traders. Then practice, practice practice.. people are gonna laugh and some will correct you to make you speak it better. Personally, i laugh and correct.

lozanni:
The level of cheating in the exams has always been very high. Candidates in the past prayed not to be sent to centers where Exam invigilators had already been compromised as Jamb will eventually penalize every candidate at that center, whether you cheated or not, so this introduction of CCTV at the exam centers is a highly welcomed idea.
and saves all the other innocent people from corporal punishment of the past..

you just typed trash. you didn't even address my post but you were in a hurry to type off point. the question is "why will Lagos state have a state owned oil company but the Niger delta states that produce the bulk of the oil have non?

smh for the injustice in the country
What are you saying? A state decided to go into a business venture for itself to maximize its profits or 13% derivative and you are complaining. Should Lagos set up an oil companies for the ND states or what are you driving at? or has Lagos state govt turned to the FG now according to your logic?

Why not go and hold the govs of those states accountable?

Ambode, you have really relieved us of Ajah traffic,i want to tell you that we are so happy for this. You have proven that within two years in office, you are better than fashola.Thank you sir and may God continue to bless you.
Without Fashola, he wouldnt have achieved things quickly. Did you hear about him cancelling contracts up and down?

He is building on the past works of his predecessor and that is how govt should be run. No stop and start in Lagos in the last 16+ years, it had been one continuous movement.

So Fashola has his place in the history of Lagos and his achievements should not be rubbished because of politics.

Police or special operations folks (commandos) usually simulate scenarios that relates to terror attacks in order to plan for responses that would eliminate the threats with minimal loss of hostages or heavy damages to key infrastructures.

Some carry out the drills to test the responses of their emergency services to terror attacks...

The honest truth is that if Biafra happens today, people are still not going to stay within the Biafran lands because they will need commerce or to trade. Except Biafra is going to exist in isolation.

So going solo or not wouldn't have stopped the disruption of business activities going on right now. Law enforcement agencies needs to come in force to protect the innocent people that are caught up with all these nonsense.
