Preator: The comments here shows the reason why Nigeria remains backward and our leaders steal with impunity. We have all adopted the "subservience" posture. The Nigerian constitution, and I am sure other constitutions, has a supremacy clause. All rules made by any institution, body or agency which is inconsistent with the provision of that constitution is void to the extent of such inconsistency. That is the law and it is bigger than any other institution. I am sure that the Kenyan constitution will have guaranteed her rights to dressing, expressing religious believes as well as rights of association. She should fight when those guaranteed rights are trampled upon. it is only then that our leaders will start either respecting or fear us. If the Catholic can't accept the dictates of the Constitution, they should relocate their school to a polity that supports their view. They are not bigger than the Constitution.
Let's start defending our rights. Well said... However, the institution also reserved the rights to also select their students based on their own criteria. The girl should simply go to a school that will accommodate her religious beliefs! For people like her, constitution means nothing when it clashes with her religious beliefs. |

leroi01: If he's such an adroit politician..I daresay he will politick his way into winning. As for federal character and quota (cabinetwise) ...There are bright minds in every state. The people want results.. so far results are constant and evident..i doubt there will be reasons to scream. Agreed that people want results. However, can the results be achieved instantaneously? No... Will it take time...yes and we might not fully see the results until years (e.g. Lagos) later... Will people of Nigeria or the powers to be allow him to dictate or influence the choice his successors...I doubt The problem with most Nigerians is that they want instant results or fixes. Any politician that professes to have the instant cure is a liar... |

jy2kbeyond: Good job but will it be maintained? The rot of the National stadium at Surulere made me feel bad at some point. Even National Theatre can do better if the surroundings are properly maintained. Facilities in Naija are left to stink after 3 years. What a shame Those facilities you mentioned belongs to the federal govt. Read somewhere that Ambode is trying to take those facilities from the federal govt so that they can turn it around. Teslim Balogun stadium is owned by Lagos and it is pretty well maintained. |

leroi01: 20 men like AA to pilot this country (without Tin.b's) influence and Nigeria could possibly be great again.
Fresh mind and fresh blood is the only way out for this country systematically raped by old farts. Without Tinubu, the gains in Lagos would not have been coordinated. Lagos successes is as a result of each governors building on the achievements of their predecessors.. |

anthony86: Sometimes I ask myself how did our neighbour countries do it. Go to Benin and Niger or Ghana they have constant power. Those countries are smaller. Togo is not even as big as Lagos in landmass.. I think power should be decentralised so that each state can generate and consume what they are producing and sell the excess to the national grid. |

officialcharlz: for those who have gotten in, what data plans do you suggest? Get a fast internet with like 15+GB data and download the entire course at a go. Subsequently, you just need to be logging on to the site to do your quizzes... Not logging on to do your quizzes can make you fail the programme. and if you cant afford that much data, wait for the inaugural meet-up for your area, you will see people with the complete course videos that can share with you. |
