A lot of Nigerian youths are entrepreneurial and with passion to succeed but unfortunately our Nigerian state will kill any dream.
I decided to go into pure water production, no bank agreed to give me loan. Even BOI would see my track record before they would consider giving me. What track record? I am just starting. I rallied and got fund from friends and family. Now I have started but in 3 weeks, I have seen PHCN light just twice in that area and the power could not carry my reverse osmosis machine. So day in day out I run on diesel. You may want to know that diesel now sells from 195 to 205. I am unable to buy a truck no to take my water to market because of fund 2m. No bank again has agreed to give me, so I use my small car to hawk. I work as factory labor, I sell, I do everything to survive. I am determined to succeed but from my story you will all see that the government is nowhere to be found. I am waiting. Soon they will come for all sort of tax, fees and dues.
How will youths survive in this country? Prayer gives us solace, prayer gives u hope and the strength to move on. Now u want to take that from us?
Just like he has said (fasola), talking won't bring us out of recession either.

It is no surprise as to how passionate Nigerians could be about get-rich-quick schemes considering the fact that the current recession is really biting hard. In fact the level of passion exhibited by Nigerians about this scheme has forced many participants to write open letters to Federal authorities warning them to desist from any attempt to be a log in the wheel of their "progress' . Some have become irrevocably too sure about the sustainability of the pyramid schemes, especially, MMM. I am not here to question the sustainability or otherwise of MMM scheme neither am I trying to pacify you to leave the scheme; I am here to tell you that MMM has not and will never improve the generality of life in Nigeria with the following facts.

(1) MMM has no central account. This well known fact should be a source of worry about the owners' source of income and the sustainability of the scheme. MMM does not not have direct access to your money and thus, does not invest it in order to grow it. Why is MMM being selfless and 'patriotic' in ensuring the smooth running of the scheme? How the heck does it gain from the scheme? Below is the answer to the puzzle.

(2) It may shock you to know that just like you and millions of other participants, nothing prevents MMM from "providing help" and "getting help" from a scheme they created.As the first investor in its own scheme, imagine the millions and chains of referrals in their 'downlines' and thousands of guiders that constitute its team. I may be wrong in the figures , but the number will be quite humongous. Is the amount of money MMM makes enough to pay millions of their participants 30-40 % returns on their investments and 10% to the referrer? Hell No! Then how the heck are they able to keep to their promise of settling investors?

(3) Liken MMM to a large mansion where you have to pay the occupants some money before you are allowed entry into the house. Once you are allowed into the mansion, you have to wait for another stranger who has to pay you 30% + 100% of your money before he could be allowed to live with you. Most times one stranger may not be able to foot the bill. He is merged with one or more strangers to pay you. In other words, the sustainability and longevity of the scheme will rely on the number of new tenants and the amount the new tenants are bringing to the table ( as well as the willingness of old tenants to renew their rent). Will this huge Mansion one day collapse? Or more likely, will this huge mansion ,one day be deserted? Definitely! How? Read below.

(4) Who pays the old tenants? New tenants or old tenants who are willing to renew their rent pay the old tenants. Literally, if you provide help by paying a tenant, the same help will be reciprocated to you with 30 to 40% bonus for being a good kid.Will there be a situation where I will provide help and not receive? Yes.. in the event that new tenants stop coming. But what can really discourage new members from coming?

(a) When everybody have become tenants. In the very near and imminent future, this will be the case.

(b) When the mansion( scheme) has become old such that new tenants decide to look for other houses (schemes) with better offers ( MMM united, MMM japan MMM Illorin) leaving old members stranded in an a state of panic.

(c) when old tenants refuse to renew their rents and decide to rent a house( scheme) elsewhere

(d) when the money new tenants pay as rent is smaller than what the old members are waiting to be paid- Old members paid millions of Naira but new tenants are bringing peanuts because of the reason below.

(e) when there is fear and uncertainty. "Will they ever unfreeze mavrodi accounts after a month? is this an end time sign?" This will of course decrease "investors confidence" and will either make new tenants to stop coming, reduce how much that is being invested or make old tenants not to renew their rents.

(f) When old members, from their profit start building their own mansions in form of houses, cars , business- thus cutting the chances of reinvesting in the scheme which will invariably reduce the amount of money in circulation.
What will be the fate of old tenants waiting to be provided help? Your guess is as good as mine. Will this result to the crash of the scheme? Yes. How soon? I do not know. Why do I think MMM is not a helping scheme? Read below.

(5) As you have now known or previously knew, MMM will one day crash but the date, hour, minute, second is uncertain. What if it crashes? Will the totality of Nigerians be happy? A big No . Why? Let me make a simple illustration. Let's say at the point A,B,C,D paid to E,F,G,H , the system crashes. This will create equal amount of Joy and sorrow. In other words, we may even have more mourners than "merriers" in most cases where many people are merged to pay few persons

What have I achieved by writing this epistle?

a) I have established that MMM and similar schemes are not cast with steel. They will one day crash.

b) I have succeeded in establishing that MMM does not improve the generality of the population. Where you rob peter to pay Paul and create equal helpers and stranded 'beggars' does not imply help.

c)I have succeed in reducing your passion for ponzi schemes which is typical of productive nations. Let us be more creative, innovative and productive. MMM has really lead to brain drain in our agile youths.

Is it biblically, Quaranically, morally right to rob peter to pay Paul? Share your thoughts.

Hi,
Its not a friends story or from a blog,its mine and I want you all to read and give me matured advice.

I've been in a relationship for almost 8 months now and everytime I go to visit my boyfriend..he must demand sex,even if I say am on my period.
Sometimes I just get furious and say am no longer interested in the relationship and he starts begging and because I love him, I forgive him.
He'll stop that for a while,then start it all over again.

He doesn't consider my feelings at times, there was a certain time I was still mourning the death of my cousin,he came around and after symphatizing with me,he wanted us to have sex..Gosh! I was so pissed.

The one that pissed me off the most was last night,after having like 5 rounds,I felt sore all over, I told him that and he stopped,then this morning, while I was trying to pray,he started touching me again saying he wants me.

I don't just understand whether this is normal,sometimes I just displease myself to please him but still he's not satisfied.

Am confused on whether to quit or not,cos apart from the sex thing,he still has his good sides and I dont want to make a wrong decision.

Before anyone would ask if he wasn't like this before marriage. No he wasn't. He never cautioned me harshly in private not to talk of in public.
When we were newly married he shouts at me in his younger brother's presence. (Why will they give me respect)
He did it in the presence of our plumber cos I told him the prices of the items were expensive.
Then our househelp. He does it so often that I begin to wonder what point he was trying to prove. To the extent that the lady started losing respect for me and giving me attitude anytime I caution her. That he even told her not to do what I asked her to do.
Then the most recent was in church. He was struggling wit our toddler that he fell and I asked him to leave him. He just started shouting and everyone was looking.
I really am not happy. And unknown to him, this is reducing my love for him. Cos i cant love someone dat disrespects me. I use to love telling people how wonderful he is but these days I cant. It's affecting my relationship with him.
I'm considering embarrassing him back the next time he does it so he knows how it hurts cos he doesn't see anything wrong with it and never apologize. He says he doesn't like hiding his feelings. I ask "even when your words hurt your spouse".
I'm worried cos we might be travelling soon and if he embarrases me in front of family members i might lose my temper.
I need mature advises here pls. As i do not want to involve 3rd party.

I resumed very early this morning and I decided to wait in front of office before I start today's activities when I saw my boss coming down from his Truck carrying his bag , as a young Yoruba man that comes from good background ..lol So I ran to him and say Good morning sir (bend my head) and I stretch my hand to collect his bag.

The man who has never disrespect me like that before shouted on me!!

if it's me "why should u collect it from me?

Me: I just wanted to help u sir.

Y? ..... I couldn't respond .

I say why? ...meet me in office now!!!! he commanded .

We entered his office and he sat me down

If truly he slumped, the EFCC should avail him the opportunity of seeing a doctor. In our law, he is accounted innocent until he is proved guilty.

The EFCC needs to be meticulous in its investigations. The way they release and rearrest a suspect can be physically and psychologically damaging.

I am a young manager in one of an old generation bank. I have this colleague who is a subordinate and a marketer. Recently, i discovered that he has supressed customers cash up to fifteen customers and these money is either loan payment, deposit or account openings.
Many customers came to the branch to complain and i felt embarassed some on loan when they have not paid back their loan and u call them just to discovered that they paid and he supressed the cash. I gave him a querty wen i gathered all evidence and copied management and disciplinary committee was set for him and with lot of evidence, he was found guilty and his appointment terminated. He has suppressed more than a million naira of customers cash. Thats so far what we discovered. More than three months, yesterday he sent me a text messsge calling me evil and blaming me. He also threatened my life .
What do i do?

Early, 2016 I got married to my wife, and she gave me a pretty son. In June 2016, my light slightly dimmed and my coy downsized massively, I was affected, we haven't still gotten any sort of payment yet

When I told my wife, baby I lost the job, she just broke down for like 5mins, looked me in the eyes and said, baby its all gonna be alright. I quickly went away, locked the door and shed tears, a lot quickly running through my minds, my son, my wife, and my family, misused opportunity.

I quickly broke the news to muumy and she visited and brought me 50k with a truck load of consolation, I accepted the money amidst tears.

The Truth is, I look back sometimes, only if I had used the opportunity wisely, nothing stays forever afterall. I have to keep moving, with my heads up refusing to look back.

God finally smiled on me, and I got another job, not with the opportunities of the former but at least I can cater for my two best love.

If you have the opportunity now, use it wisely.

and like my grand father did say, If you want to fall, fall on your back, cos if you can look up, you can get up.

I meet this lady about a year ago and feel in love with her even though she is got a daughter
She has got nothing when I meet her,her elder brother drove her out when she got pregnant for her then boyfriend who later denied the pregnancy
I guess I should just go to the main issue,yesterday I went unannounced to her house the house that I paid with my money around 10.30pm
I noticed she was taking time in opening the door,eventually she did on coming inside close to her doorstep I meet his guy in jalamia standing there
I went inside and my girl told me that I should please excuse her to see her visitor off
On coming back I asked who the guy is she is telling me that he is just an ordinary friend from the church
An ordinary friend that will visit a girl at almost to 11 in the night,out of annoyance I told her she has been cheating on me and she took up off her cloths that I should see if she just cheated
This is a girl I made what she is,loved her and her kid unconditionally but where she is cheating
I left that night and she is been on my neck that I should forgive her and even telling me that I don't trust her,anyway the guy she was with called me imagine telling she is just her casual friend that she loves me bla bla
I can't take this,i have asked my self so many questions while will an ordinary friend visit her at that odd hour?
Why did it took her so long to open the gate for me?

i am Damian a student of Federal polytechnic Oko, HND2 computer science. After the lecture, a piece of paper was passed to students for attendance that's when i faced him. i was to write mine then he tapped my arms for me to give him the attendance sheet, i got angry coz i hate being bullied, i declined giving him then we dragged the attendance sheet, he then told me he's going to deal with me, foolishly of me i told he he cant do nothing. After he went i was told he's a Cultist and one of the top. Am scared as hell here...please my fellow nairalanders what should i do? should i go ask him to pardon me??
