dubaiprince:Thank you. But I would really appreciate more info on the pay, just to be sure I don't insist on something way above their standards and miss the opportunity, and at the same time, I wouldn't want to accept something below par. Please advise and provide more information if you can. Thank you. |
Hello House, Please I'd appreciate any information on WFO Advisors Limited. I was invited for a test this week. Has anyone in the house written their tests previously? What are the likely test and interview questions? What is the salary expectation for someone with about 5 years relevant experience? Is there any other relevant information I should know. Thank you all for your assistance. |
Macmilla:This is very wrong. I have fibroid and I had my first baby via CS. 2 years later I had my second baby via vaginal delivery. I didn't have any C-section emergency or ruptured uterus. The fibroid is still there, and my next Baby will be via vaginal delivery too, unless the doctors advise otherwise. What I will advise the Op's sister is to seek medical advice. If the doctors examine her and find her suitable for vaginal delivery, she can go for it. |
icebebe:my dear, i ve got 2 kids to cater for,, a home to run, a job in this hectic lagos city and husband to take care of. With all of these responsibilities, i still make out time to exercise for 1 hour everyday! Getting fat after childbirth is inevitable, but remaining fat afterwards is a choice!!! |
I pity this pastor's poor wife. I can imagine how boring her sex life will be. Poor woman!! |
This is exactly why i advise wives to pursue their careers. Go out there and get yourself a job and earn YOUR OWN INCOME!! If you are woman with your own job earning your own salary, you will not have to get any prior approval from your husband before sending money to your mom/siblings. Wives please dont be entirely dependent on your husbands. carve a niche for yourself. Those of you that are graduates and are still sitting back at home answering housewives should dust up your certificates and go get a job. The ones without certificates should go learn a skill and make money biko. If you earn your money, no man will dictate when and how much to give your people. I placed my mom and my siblings on a monthly salary solely from my own personal earnings from work, and I dont need to clear with hubby to send out money. Let us try and take up some financial responsibilities in our homes abeg. That way, we will not put ourselves in this very difficult position of having to clear with hubby before sending money to the woman that nursed you from childhood to adulthood before being 'kidnapped' by your hubby. ![]() |
sissy_ijebu: Sis forget good hospital matter! Please don't come here and mislead people. No pain after CS? You be robot ni? The first 3 days after CS made me have a glimpse of what hell is like. You wan cough abi u wan sneeze abi u wan even laugh? Worse was when my little little madam dey try extract milk, every vein in my system stand attention. When you get up from bed or change position its like your heart's gone drop. Unless its life threatening please when your doctor says push you better push because Cs no be am . Its 3 years now and the experience is still fresh. My dear, I had CS too, about a year ago in Reddington Hospital VI. My experience was not soo bad like u r trying to portray. I had d CS on Tuesday and was discharged on Thursday. D whole CS process lasted about 20 mins and i was awake all tru, but felt no pain cos they used epidural (not sure of the spelling). Hours later, after d effect of d pain drugs had subsided, i felt some pain. But it was not alarming. I was sneezing and coughing effortlessly. Within 2 days, i was already on my feet and was discharged. The scar is invincible. I think they call it bikini line. The stitches melted away, there was no need to remove stitches. Pls my people, a lot depends on the hospital. Ignorance is not bliss! |
LewsTherin: No doubt. Mostly I just think it's a combo of big madam and lazy dumasses.Do you have kids? If yes, who stays with the kids when you and wify are at work? Do u have toddlers that are yet to start school? Who stays with them? Who stays with the kids when they get back from school? Please let's all be realistic here. Working mothers need help, whether live in helps or professional ones that come to work daily or weekly. The most important thing is that you are treating the lady well, and that she is happy and content with u. Also, she shouldn't be anything less than 18 yrs so that it doesn't amount to child abuse. And you pay her nothing less than the stipulated minimum wage in nigeria. I never needed a help until my baby arrived, and I needed to get back to work. She lives with me, I pay above minimum wage, she goes home Saturdays and comes back Sunday evening. She is 25, she cooks and eats whatever she wants without asking for permission, she is 25years old. We have a wonderful working relationship. How is that a bad thing to have a house help or how does that translate to laziness? Abi all women should stay back at home and abandon their career so that the society does not term them lazy? |
honey86: it would be nice if nairalanders based in Nigeria can give us names of good hospitals where they have given birth in the past.I had my baby via CS at Reddington Hospital VI Lagos. the whole process did not last more than 20mins, from start to finish. I think the doc used epidural. I didn't feel any pain and i was awake through out the entire process. I even ate solid food (rice and chicken) about 2 hours after the surgery, and was already walking by the following day, although with extra effort. I was discharged 3 days later with no complications and the cut healed nicely. infact, u will have to look really hard, as in study my tummy for some mins before u see the faint line from the cut. please we have good hospitals here in Nigeria. |
Etumgbe: All attempts by our correspondent to enter the hotel proved abortive as policemen attached to MOPOL 10, Bauchi prevented him from going in on the grounds that investigations were ongoing.i thought they said the attack took place in Ajah, Lagos. how come they are referring to policemen attached to Mopol 10, Bauchi ![]() |
she is also the ambassador of Lekki Gardens Estate. congrats to her |
This is soo beautiful. absolutely amazing. she looks soo responsible.
|
luro: I for one enjoy being independent but that comes with a hefty price for family women.I completely disagree with you. You can successfully balance your career with your family responsibilities. There are millions of women out there who have a successful career and a wonderful family. they dont have 2 heads. They are mere mortals like you and me. I have been able to combine my career with my family and both departments have turned out to be very successful by all standards. u too can do same. stop looking for excuses to be lazy. |
ACM10: NDLEA was doing their job. Sometimes it may go terribly wrong. Their scanner detected suspicious package in Suwe's gut. So they have the right to detain him based on the available evidence. They have the right to detain him on reasonbale grounds, I agree. but they also have the duty to take him to court within 24 hours of detention/arrest as stipulated in the 1999 Constitution, else it becomes an unlawful detention. It is based on this ground that the trial court awarded damages to Suwe. |
frodobee: Some babies and their cries. You will be tempted to do that- i have been tempted to that if only it will make the baby stop crying. Murder no!how can u possibly be tempted to put a baby in a freezer? how can that even cross your mind? how is that even possible? Jeez!!! |
Is she not lovely?

I must say that all those who do mischiefin the name of Allah will be punished. Qur’an Chapter 5, verses 33-34 says: ‘Thepunishment of those who run around and spread mischief about Allah and His Messenger is this: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter.” ?[/quote]The Quran really said this ? |
maclatunji: Fellis, they have tried every trick in the book and still cannot agree. In fact the world has 'never' seen this kind of disagreement before. Whose perogative is it to decide? Man or Woman. Choose one.I will answer your question directly. In matters like this, where we have all deliberated on the issue, both of us giving good points for and against, I will simply tell him 'U know what? Let's do it your way. I trust your judgment'. this is called submission. I am not giving in to his wishes becos he is an 'area commander', No. I am recognising his position as the head of the family and admitting that he has the necessary competence to make the right decision. Its like massaging his ego, it makes him feel in charge and in control. men are built to be in charge, give him that power to make decisions, and u will see him asking for ur ideas in controversial matters. if u drag 'head' with him, he will always assert his supremacy, which even God had designed to be so. funny that sometimes wen i say ok, lets do it ur way, he'll turn around and say no, lets take ur own option. |
Sapele_Don: Could not help but throw this in before leaving for work.spot on! |
My mum got married to my dad in 1983, they had my brother that same year. but in 1984, when she took in again, my dad left her and got married to another lady. in that same year (1984), my mum had me. subsequently, my dad died in his second marriage. so from 1984 (28 years ago), my mum took up the responsibility of raising my brother and myself single-handedly. she had brothers and sisters shaa, but they also had their own families and their own responsibilities to take care of. my mom was a civil servant in Anambra State. her salary was next to nothing. but she managed to put us in good primary, secondary and university schools. we went through a lot. At a time, we did not have money to buy kerosene to cook, so we used boiler...yes, we used ring boiler to boil tomatoes by inserting the ring into the bowl of tomatoes and allowing it to boil, then after some time we 'll take off the boiler and add salt and pepper, then viola...food is ready! then we used the same boiler to boil yam, beans and rice. infact at a time, the matter worsened. there was no food at all to eat in the house.. as in no food at all. so my mum suggested that we should declare fasting and prayers that day, so we started fasting and praying in the morning. At about 6pm, when we wanted to close the fasting, there was no food to eat. sow we continued fasting till the next day which was a sunday. my mum told our pastor our plight and he announced it in church. our church members contributed money for us that day. it was quite a lot. lasted us for the next few weeks. my mum used to wear one cloth to work everyday, when she comes back, she will wash it and hang it to dry so she can wear it the next day. we wore the same school uniforms for years, with all the wear and tear, and on empty stomachs. at a point, our landlord drove us out of the house, so we moved in with an uncle whose wife and kids showed us hell. Infact, i have so many instances to share, but i cant continue, cos this has brought back bitter memories and i am at my office shedding tears on my keyboard as i type. but i wont stop without sharing the good news. . my brother is now a medical doctor and i am now a successful lawyer, with a loving husband and a cute little boy. I keep praying to God to preserve my mother for me so that she can reap the full fruits of her labour. God, I cant stop crying. . . |
cantell: Oh! I'm allergic to bullsh¡t!I think you are a selfish and a self-centered person. so u think it is impossible for someone to raise someone else's son without trying to make d boy his own son? please get a life! It is people like you that will refuse to raise your relations even when you have the means to do so, simply because 'training someone else's child doesn't make it yours'. You are just unbelievable! Didn't know people with your dumb mindset still exist. |
cantell: I agree with you totally. The story is so fake. No Igbo man will agree to adopt another man's son. Not when he can still have his own.My colleague at work just had his traditional marriage. His wedding is coming up this December. . he is marrying a SINGLE MUM. she had a child in her SSS 2. the boy is about 9yrs or so now. both the man and the woman are from Enugu State with core igbo background. so please next time you want to make an assertion about igbo men, dont use ALL, use SOME! |
acidosis™:Pls dont compare a life threatening situation to seun's nairaland advert. |
Cyberknight: The foreskin isn't cut away with a knife or other implement, a ring is used to constrict it and it sloughs off. The baby suffers no pain. Very common procedure, so if you have a son, make sure that's how they circumcise him.My son had the ring circumcision at Reddington Hospital Lagos in April this year. Even with this method, a part of the foreskin is cut off by the doctors. i remember the Pediatrics Surgeon showed me the foreskin that was cut off and asked if i wanted to take it home or if they could discard it for me. . . i couldn't even look at it. i just asked him to discard it himself. my baby didn't even cry anymore than he did b4 the circumcision, i baffed him normally, clothed him normally, there was no heavy bleeding, and the slight bleeding he had stopped that same day. |
HQ: I'd be switching back and forth.MTN dey do the "auto-renew' of BIS or BBC too, as long as you have sufficient airtime for the renewal. |
Catch_fire: JESOXJudge not, that you may not be judged. |
Chanchit: The gurl must be one dumb gurl, how on earth would you say you dnt recognize a player like Kolo, Ok, now that you found someone that told you who he really was, instead of her to find a new strategy of getting a better cut of the £90k, she run enter social ntwrk, abi no be guys like this models dey pray for.what if she is not into football? what if she does not follow premier league and all that? how do u expect her to recognize his face? please dont blame the poor girl. she was only an innocent victim. |
dominique: @Jidegirlhello dear. your story sounds so much like mine. after concluding my 6 months exclusive feeding, i tried all sorts of formula for my son, he rejected all of them. i tried SMA, NAN, Cowbell Infant, Lactogen. i tried all sorts of cereal and oatmeal for him, he rejected them. . . Frisco gold, cerelac, Beach Nut oatmeal, Beach Nut cereal, pap, golden morn, etc. infact the major problem is not just that he does not like them, he kips trowin up violently each time i feed him with these formula or cereal. the only tin he eats is mashed sweet potatoes, chicken, apples and carrots. Its so tiresome cos i now have to make two dishes wheneva i return from work. . one for the family, and one for him. but wat can i do, i dont love him any less ![]() |
are you older than I am? by how many years? |
It's a common grumble that politicians' lifestyles are far removed from those of their electorate. Not so in Uruguay. Meet the president - who lives on a ramshackle farm and gives away most of his pay. Laundry is strung outside the house. The water comes from a well in a yard, overgrown with weeds. Only two police officers and Manuela, a three-legged dog, keep watch outside. This is the residence of the president of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, whose lifestyle clearly differs sharply from that of most other world leaders. President Mujica has shunned the luxurious house that the Uruguayan state provides for its leaders and opted to stay at his wife's farmhouse, off a dirt road outside the capital, Montevideo. The president and his wife work the land themselves, growing flowers. This austere lifestyle - and the fact that Mujica donates about 90% of his monthly salary, equivalent to $12,000 (£7,500), to charity - has led him to be labelled the poorest president in the world. "I may appear to be an eccentric old man... But this is a free choice." "I've lived like this most of my life," he says, sitting on an old chair in his garden, using a cushion favoured by Manuela the dog. "I can live well with what I have." His charitable donations - which benefit poor people and small entrepreneurs - mean his salary is roughly in line with the average Uruguayan income of $775 (£485) a month. All the president's wealth - a 1987 VW Beetle In 2010, his annual personal wealth declaration - mandatory for officials in Uruguay - was $1,800 (£1,100), the value of his 1987 Volkswagen Beetle. This year, he added half of his wife's assets - land, tractors and a house - reaching $215,000 (£135,000). That's still only about two-thirds of Vice-President Danilo Astori's declared wealth, and a third of the figure declared by Mujica's predecessor as president, Tabare Vasquez. Elected in 2009, Mujica spent the 1960s and 1970s as part of the Uruguayan guerrilla Tupamaros, a leftist armed group inspired by the Cuban revolution. He was shot six times and spent 14 years in jail. Most of his detention was spent in harsh conditions and isolation, until he was freed in 1985 when Uruguay returned to democracy. Those years in jail, Mujica says, helped shape his outlook on life. "I'm called 'the poorest president', but I don't feel poor. Poor people are those who only work to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, and always want more and more," he says. "This is a matter of freedom. If you don't have many possessions then you don't need to work all your life like a slave to sustain them, and therefore you have more time for yourself," he says. "I may appear to be an eccentric old man... But this is a free choice." The Uruguayan leader made a similar point when he addressed the Rio+20 summit in June this year: "We've been talking all afternoon about sustainable development. To get the masses out of poverty. "But what are we thinking? Do we want the model of development and consumption of the rich countries? I ask you now: what would happen to this planet if Indians would have the same proportion of cars per household than Germans? How much oxygen would we have left? "Does this planet have enough resources so seven or eight billion can have the same level of consumption and waste that today is seen in rich societies? It is this level of hyper-consumption that is harming our planet." Mujica accuses most world leaders of having a "blind obsession to achieve growth with consumption, as if the contrary would mean the end of the world". But however large the gulf between the vegetarian Mujica and these other leaders, he is no more immune than they are to the ups and downs of political life. "Many sympathise with President Mujica because of how he lives. But this does not stop him for being criticised for how the government is doing," says Ignacio Zuasnabar, a Uruguayan pollster. The Uruguayan opposition says the country's recent economic prosperity has not resulted in better public services in health and education, and for the first time since Mujica's election in 2009 his popularity has fallen below 50%. This year he has also been under fire because of two controversial moves. Uruguay's Congress recently passed a bill which legalised abortions for pregnancies up to 12 weeks. Unlike his predecessor, Mujica did not veto it. He is also supporting a debate on the legalisation of the consumption of cannabis, in a bill that would also give the state the monopoly over its trade. "Consumption of cannabis is not the most worrying thing, drug-dealing is the real problem," he says. However, he doesn't have to worry too much about his popularity rating - Uruguayan law means he is not allowed to seek re-election in 2014. Also, at 77, he is likely to retire from politics altogether before long. When he does, he will be eligible for a state pension - and unlike some other former presidents, he may not find the drop in income too hard to get used to. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20243493

olakunle13: what kanna unproffessional judge is this?...does this garl watch America's got talent at all?Mr Olakunle there's nothing wrong with shedding tears as a Judge in a reality TV show. Go and watch X Factor 2012. Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell cried when Jillian Jensen performed at the auditions. |
Thank God the little girl was courageous enough to speak out. Is it really possible that a husband will be sleeping with the househelp and there wont be noticeable telltale signs? Or is it that some wives just turn a blind eye? |
