chriskosherbal: The judiciary by constitutional demands is an independent body and will remain so. It is one sided because PDP has been the ruling party, so obviously most of the corrupt politicians will be PDP. Not all but most. |

PDP Please, stop your election propaganda. Even if we do not vote APC in 2019, we are not voting PDP. There are new young political parties coming up everyday. Just give up and spear us internet bandwidth.
Now i am not an APC or PDP fan, i am more of a civil rights person. But my goal in life, (and many civil rights movements in the nation) is to keep PDP out of power. infact it is part of the Agenda. Nobody will ever vote PDP again. That is 50years of slavery. It does not mean we will always vote APC. My point is I am tired of seeing propaganda blasting APC. Let them do their jobs. The truth is we criticize Buhari and PDP sees this as some form of endorsement for PDP. No it s not.
The country is in transition. It won't be easy, but it worth the try. I see slams on APC about fuel scarcity, no jobs, etc. Did we have fuel in PDP regime, even when we had how much was it. PDP take our resources sell it to European masters and pocket the money for themselves like Nigeria belongs to them.
What kind of jobs did we have under PDP regime? Ghost workers just collecting milk and milo, 50,000 every month not really doing anything? PDP has wrecked the entire nation. Not because it stole money, but because it set an unacceptable culture of mindlessness and zombification. NEVER AGAIN |

Look all these talk of PDP makes me laugh. All you PDP propagandists... Because you were promised appointments and things changed before it was your turn. Honestly, I will be honest, PDP is likely not to even be in 2019 election. Of course they will be there but no one would even look at them. Even if APC fails, no one is voting PDP. APC, regardless of inner politics, have done in 12 months what PDP failed to do in 50years. The difference between APC snd PDP is this, while PDP are just money grabbing monsters who seek to rotate power, make no mistakes, APC are power grabbing too, all politicians everywhere are BUT APC has always had a vision for Nigeria, a working Nigeria.
Corruption is not the causes of Nigeria's problem; all countries and their govt are corrupt money loothers. Ours is Greed. People take and give back. PDP want to take, leave everybody else in destitue and enrich only a minority of the population. Enough of this "seat for my brother" mentality. PDP candidates at all levels do not know they work for the people. They think public seats are their family inheritance so they think they are not answerable to the people.
Now I am not pro-PDP neither pro-APC, honestly i want both of them out. No more. But we gave PDP a chance for 50 years, let us give APC a chance. In 2019 one thing is definite and sure, PDP is not winning. Unless they rig elections which will only anger Nigerians. If APC provides quality of live for the people, bye PDP. |

How many Nigerians are privileged to study abroad? You then add salt to injury by adding a Masters requirement just because they studied in Nigeria... It is in fact possible that some of those who have foreign first degrees might have been trained on stolen funds so why still give them an advantage over fellow Nigerians?
I do agree that the educational standard need to be raised and beyond articulating proposals for development and so on, there should be a mechanism for checking substantial/50% compliance with proposals earlier submitted say at mid-term, failure of which will see that person ineligible to contest elections into any office for the next dispensation. Yes but you have to understand the reason for the distinction. Of course when we get our universities up to standard and raise the level of education, this wont even be a debate. But for now dont you think we might need to outsource? |

Yes it is a position of inferiority. There is a distinction and like to hear it or not, Nigerian universities are inferior to most outside. And it is our politicians that have made it this way. Yes my dear, the degrees are necessary. People who knew they wanted to go into politics, got the right degrees or exposure for it. a2personal2013: The youths have lost their place in today's Nigeria. We need to indulge in massive campaign to get our country back. It may take a while but I think we can get there with continuous pressure. We are just being used by the old foxes to satisfy their insatiable lust.
Our first request should be a change in the system. We need a system that respects everybody regardless of your age, tribe or religion. Nigerians still see age as experience. The older you are , the more experience they think you will be. We should also try to place ourselves on the center of the stage rather than just sit as onlookers. We should not be counted as just votes without playing a role in the government.
Lastly, we must learn to vote wisely bereft of sentiments. We should scrutinize each candidate carefully before lending our support. The past must be reviewed with a projected vision of the future. Clear plans must be seen before pledging our supports. Once we realize that we are the major stakeholders in the business called Nigeria, then we can make the desired positive change. Like i said, we need to start strategizing and empowering ourselves now. |

narapollo: National Vice-Chairman, (South-South), of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Dr Cairo Ojougboh has pleaded with Nigerians to consider the party for the 2019 presidency. The erstwhile ruling party, which was in control of the central government for 16 years, lost to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 general elections. It also lost 17 states in the North, believed to be its traditional strongholds. Ojougboh told newsmen yesterday in Abuja, that the poor performance of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) would soon endear Nigerians to PDP. “We want to caution against that statement of impunity that there is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2019. Speaking on the Rivers rerun election, the PDP chieftain accused the APC of instigating violence which, he noted, led to the suspension of announcement of results by the Independent National Electoral Commission and the cancellation of the exercise in eight local government areas. “It would have surprised all Nigerians, if APC won a seat because Rivers has always been a PDP stronghold. “We are calling on INEC to please, complete the collation that they had started. Results already announced at polling units can’t be cancelled and that’s what the law says.” see more at...[url][/http://www.technetcruz.com/] All these Govt bodies are just toys, oil for lubricating corruption. Age caps for senate house seats should be reduced to 35. Our senate seats and rep seats will no longer be appointed but given by the people of respective lands. Educational requirements for candidates should be increased to BSc from an overseas uni or BSc from a Nigerian uni with MSc. Candidates must have studied political related subjects/Law/Humanitarian sciences/relevant degree for their post in university. All candidates must currently, before being chosen, have a job that pays nothing less than the minimum wage. Candidates must put forward their proposals for development, project plans and milestones before they can be eligible to even run. These proposals should be signed, and made publicly available for all to see. When a milestone is checked the people tick it off. Elected candidates cannot purchase private property while in power. Wages for these officials will be equal the monthly minimum wage of the society. Failure to meet this means a step down.

We the people will openly decide (not by that thing they call voting poll) who will represent us in the house of senate and representatives. We will set economic and social development milestones and see clearly how money is allocated and spent. We must create a platform for this. We have the skills in this country.

Our mothers are still being oppressed, our youth are still joining cults for financial gains, Niger delta is an environmental harzard, our universities are still ranked lowest in the world, 15 year olds in china are making toys cars and ours are hawking pure water. And you sit there and talk of decent job and family. FYI, this struggle is not for us, me and you, it is not about you, it is for the generation to come and the sustainability of our people, it is the definition of how our children will live in the world, as slaves to others begging for visas with our culture completely eroded from history or as proud africans living in our God's given wealth. It is because of these lagging by the older generation that we find ourselves here today, if they were men enough, or even had a dignity, they would never have let this happen. My father included. Bad things can only happen when good men do nothing. Rethink, because when you are long gone from this earth, and your children have to suffer in whatever the country might become, you wont be here to save them. |
