For constipation, prune juice is bae. My baby pediatrician recommended it for me after delivery that I couldn't poo for up to one week. And poo was easy after taking it. It also works for babies. They will surely suck it out from your b***st

Water...... . it's one of those things that come with time. Don't sweeten the water, it might lead to tooth decay.
You might want to give her warm water with a syringe to ease the constipation.
Alternatively, you can look for 'prune' at the baby food section of ShopRite, Feddy once recommended it but i couldn't find it then.

Please o, how can I make my DD love water?? she doesn't like drinking water...
once she tastes water, she just pushes away the bottle.

We have never had constipation issues until this morning, her poop was in a 'pebble' form, though not very hard per se.
I just wanted to change her diaper when she woke up and I saw the poop..

My elder sis says i shld give her diluted ribena to sweeten the water - ...My dd is just 7 months + 1 week, so i'm thinking it's too early
My mum says give her orange juice - Mr google said it's acidic for babies

The colour of the poop is still yellow but not as bright as before.
I noticed the mucus the day she started the everyday pooping but I think the quantity of the mucus is increasing.
Didn't change my diet but I ate one kain beans that made me purge last week, I thought that was the cause but it's been a week now, it should have stopped I think.

I'd say - see a peadiatrician since the mucus hasn't stopped.

Ma'am how will I know baby have emptied one breast before giving another? Because my lo was stooling frequently with mucus in her poo last 2weeks but has stopped now.

For me, the emptied breast looks n feels very flat n soft as compared to the other one.
Also when I try to hand express or pump after emptying, I get almost nothing.
That's how I know.

Pls mamas, don't read and pass, my EBF baby poops during feeding or immediately after feeding, like 4 to five times daily, she just started this trend like a week ago, before then, she can go up to a week without pooping, she just changed suddenly and started pooping daily. Pls is this normal, she's 9 weeks. I also noticed mucus in her poop.

Did u change ur diet?
Mucus in poop could be a sign of infection, or caused by foremilk-hindmilk imbalance (baby doesn't finish sucking one br.east before switching to another).

Half paint Millet, half paint yellow corn, half paint guineacorn

Please make sure you wash it very well.
That will prevent any sour taste.

Then be sure to tie the prepped pap in moi moi nylon as soon as water drains off from the Akamu bag.

It is not good to allow one single mould on it.

When I lived with my mum, I was more fitness conscious. But now that I have my own house, sometimes, especially when Hubby is out, food and movies become my friend.

I have tasked myself to avoid everything Junk. God help us. Breastfeeding has a way of making one put on real weight.

When I was single, I used to run every weekend....
I didn't even gain much weight while I was pregnant, and there was actually a time postpartum, that I went back to my pre-pregnancy weight (when I was on mat leave) ...but somehow I resumed work and the story changed

Infant milk dissolves easily in hydrochloric acid which constitutes part of humans' stomach acids that are responsible for digestion.
But Adult milk does not easily digest, so why put a child through that stress when his system is still tender and developing at that.

My sisters this competition for baby's growth is real oh. A church member came to visit me when my baby was 6weeks old. She said I should give my baby formula that ebf will not make my baby look fine and chubby and that someone else that did it is suffering cos she did ebf and her baby struggles to eat solid food. She was boosting that at 3months her son was already struggling to eat eba and indomine. I asked her what formula she gives her son she said adult peak milk that the health centre she went to they told them to give any milk they can afford so everyone in her house takes peak including her 6months old baby. I told her it wasn't healthy for her son she said he didn't react to it so its fine. She even argued with me that health centers give Rotavirus that I just wasted my money to give my son at a private clinic. Now she is avoiding me. Me too I dont care. See the child that she said will not look fresh cos he is ebf. 15weeks old. Ignoranmous people

Majority of all these are caused by the baby carers. Sometimes I wonder why new moms will not allow their babies to grow normally. Some try to use them to satisfy their useless egos.
Why are you putting a 4-6 months old baby to stand or putting a 2 months old baby to sit? Where are you rushing to? The baby's bones are not fully developed at birth. It's soft and can easily be shaped or disfigured and forcing some of these things will create problems for them later on.
Nowadays you see 10 year olds complaining of waist pain, lumbar this and that, these children never start life ooo. Please mamas, they major thing you need to do for a 0-3 months old baby is tummy time and body massage. If you get this right, you won't need to train your baby to for two weeks and they sit upright and helps them to crawl.
Forget all those people that boast that their baby walked at 5 months or started sitting at 2 months. It doesn't make them much better it just boosts the parents useless ego. Every child will still reach that milestone. Some start sitting their babies at 2 months but the child will get a hang of it at 5 months while some of us starts at 3-4 months and within one week the baby is a pro.
I don't even want to talk about some of the heavy shoes some mamas wear their babies in the name of fashion.

These are my personal opinion, anyone can choose to raise their child however they choose.

I remember my mum worrying that my daughter wasn't bearing her weight on her legs fully at 3 months....and that she didn't have total head control too at 3 months. My dad even made a comment that I was over-petting my then 4 month old when he saw me using pillows to support her, cos he felt she should be sitting well at that age (4 months).
I didn't get angry o (I know my parents well enough not to get angry at their comments anymore ), and neither did I worry. Me and my pikin kuku de do our thing slow and steadily..

Now at 7 months, they are even the ones praising my dd now that she is super strong and growing well.

One thing I have learnt is that you should let kids grow at their own pace. Because Lagbaja's daughter reached some milestones at a certain age, doesn't mean that it will be same with yours. Babies are all wired differently, and they will all eventually walk, run, jump, climd or whatever it is that they are supposed to do.

At the salon few days ago, my stylist said....'Zara (my lo) never dey waka?? my pikin waka for 7 months o!' I just laughed and said 'Madam, when time reach she go waka'...shikena! End of discussion!!

I wee nor let somebody coman gimme headache over what will eventually happen later..

My baby is 7 months....here's our schedule.
We breastfeed in the morning till 8am when I leave her to go t work.

For her creche, I pack 1 formula milk feed, 2 solid meals and 1 pureed fruit (not everyday but I try to do this lyk 3 time a week). I pick her by 5pm and we breastfeed in the evening and I give her a bottle of milk b4 she sleeps.
This is basically for weekdays...

For weekends, I freestyle since we are together all thru....
But I always ensure that she gets a bottle of formula and breastmilk everyday.

She still sells the pap but the grains are now mixed together which is nice ie millet, groundnut, potatoes, guinea corn, brown rice etc. She also has bean and veggies/onion from 7 months then fish and crayfish separately.

I think that combo is more nutritious and the nutty meal is very close to tom brown. Its still pap. After formula, my ds favorite is the pap. He takes other cereals with greater effort.
