Mamas i don come again o, after a long silence, i know, meeeehhhn ds business is not easy o. Mamas will recall wen i was begging 4 ms, but now i knw beta...not severe o but d little sef no gud 4 my bodi ataalll. I gag wen i brush, tke drugs, drink water or even type on ds phone, threw up a couple of times too. Sha dese days i feel better and 2day is day 2 of my 12th week, yeeepee, i feel human again!
@convenantbabies i feel u on d issue of too much drug prescriptions. i will say moderation is key dear, try endure or substitute some treatments with natural therapies. Its all part of the package, i hv dropped alot of unnecessary drugs because evn the thought of taking dem makes me puke, seriously! N i even changed my prenatal vitamins to syrup (how cul is dat? ).

Anyway teamies, any updates? Me don start dey receive baby's sex n names o (dat is...) as see, Okeke wife don tell me her own o. Hope we hv started or are warming up to start ANC? Go register now o.

He say e de look for sex of baby. Na him I shout say I no de interested . He say no. De press am again for another 10 mins. Na so I vex stand up. Abeg na by force? He say he look like girl but when baby changed position he look like boy. Say eventually e feel say na girl. Na slap I no fit sama am. Mamas Abeg dm fit know baby sex at 15w 4d?

We should approximately be in our 18th, 17th, 16th and 15th weeks now. How time flies, just like yesterday when we got our BFPs! Some of us may even have bumps to flaunt now. God is really faithful.

My Birth Story - Episode 3

It seems the VE stimulated the contractions and it started becoming intense. About 5mins apart. But it was bearable. We picked my things and we came back to the hospital by 2pm. Then i remembered i had not eaten. I asked for food and they said no food, i can only take tea. So i started sipping tea. And was even chatting with my friends. My friend asked me if i'm sure i'm in labor. I said yes now. The pain was bearable, contrary to my fear.
By 3pm, they did another VE and i was 6cm dilated. The doc and nurses were impressed. I was taking the contraction's with ease. They were 3mins apart. I was breathing through everyone and listening to my relaxation music. Once the wave of pain hits me, i'll hold the bed tight till the contraction is over. Then i'll continue walking around. By 4pm, the contractions became 30 seconds apart and extremely painful. I was seeing stars. And you won't believe my dh was busy recording me with his phone.
They checked again and i was 7cm dilated. Then the doc and nurses were preparing for a CS for another preggie mama upstairs, so they said i'll be fine. That my baby should be out by 6pm, looking at my progress. That news gave me hope.
6pm came, they checked, same 7cm. 8pm i was still 7cm. No back pain, no urge to poo, just the excruciating contraction pain. Then i started provoking for everybody. Dh came to rub my back and i pursued him. My friend came to rub it, i pushed her hand away. I wasn't having back pain. So that back massage was useless. All i wanted was to hear i'm 10cm dilated and ready to push. I started crying and begging the midwife and nurses to do sth.
A lady in the postnatal ward now came to ask me, "Madam abeg you get credit for your phone make i take call somebody?". I didnt answer her. I was dying in pains and snapping my fingers. She said, "Madam you hear me? Abeg help me make i call person for house make e bring food for me, i forget my phone."
I wanted to pounce on her. How can u be asking for a favor from someone in serious labor pains. I was so pissed. And when dh came in, i told him to warn that lady not to talk to me.
10pm, another VE. I was still 7cm.
12am, yet another VE. I was still 7cm.
I started crawling on the floor, crying profusely. The contractions were just 15 seconds apart.
The doc came down, expecting to hear that my baby is out. He was so shocked to see me. Then he did another VE by himself.
Then he realized, i'm having obstructed labor. Baby's head was no longer engaged and in the cervix. Hence labor was no longer progressing.
They checked baby's heartbeat all thru and it was still very long strong. They decided to watch me for another two hours.
Have you ever felt pain so bad and too much that your body becomes numb to the pain? I started losing my strength, and felt myself dozing off. I was falling asleep with the pain because i had endured it for too long that i couldnt cry anymore.
2am, they called dh and told him they have do an emergency c-section, before baby will be in distress. He told me and i agreed. All i wanted was for my baby to come out the pain to stop.
But because they just finished a surgery, they had to sterlize the theater and the nurses needed to rest a little.
So i had to keep enduring the contractions for another 3 hours. By 5:30am, i was taken to the theatre. When i was about to be given the anaesthetic, they said, "pls relax and try and bear the spinal injection i'm about to give you.". I just sat like a statue. After what i just passed thru, pain was nothing to me anymore. All the injections and IV i recieved i didn't feel a thing. I didn't even wince. By 5:50am on Thursday, my handsome prince Hansel came out wailing as if he was angry with the nurses for making his mummy go thru so much pain.
I don't have any regrets at all. I'm willing to endure a million post-partum pain just for my boy.
Now i know its possible to be contracting painlessly. Now i know its possible for your cervix to be dilating without your notice. Now i know to always expect anything in labor and keep an open mind, to avoid getting disappointed.
I'm proud to bear the scar of love. Motherhood is awesome and i wish all waddling mothers safe delivery. And to our TTC mothers, you too shall share your birth story soon. Kisses all!

Don't take it before eating. Make sure you eat something. I was also throwing up until I started eating before i took my prenatals.

I am not a fan of pregnacare. There are other better brands out there.

God has made my family smile again.

After 7hrs of active augumented labour, my bundle of joy, my "bababatunde", the one that came to console my family on the death of my father; baby Dominique Iwinosa,Owie has finally landed at abt 5:05pm 30/6/2016.

Thank you mamas for ur word of prayers. May God raise people to meet you at the point of your needs. Amen!
